Questionnaire and
Target Market
Research
Target Audience
My Magazine is for middle aged teens and young adults at any age,
below is a picture of what my target audience should look like… the
picture is off young adults and teens, basically my ideal audience, I
chose this audience as I didn't’t want to make my magazine just appeal
to young teens, and kid. I would say because of the information and the
compartments it has I would say it’s similar to Q magazine which has a
similar audience to my magazine.
Questionnaire Analysis:
The first question asked was mostly about assessing how well I’d done things when
making my magazine. The results did vary, Because there were things like;
Photography, My masthead design and also my research and planning, so I thought
these 3 things are definitely something ill need to pick up on in the future. I also found
out that my editing skills and the design of my magazine was liked very much, I thought
if I keep being as consistent with the design and editing, the magazine would maintain
it’s consistent detailed look.
The next question was a simple yes and know question with a description, I asked this
because I wanted to know how many people thought ‘improvement’ was important, I
asked this because the majority of my questions were based on this subject and so I
thought it could be interesting to see the views from different people.
The next question was similar too the first however, I was basically just asking what I
could do to improve my work, I got some feedback about my photos, they weren't in
the best quality so I know now that the next time I make a magazine I will be improving
the way I take photos. I also got feedback about the fact I included two pictures I
shouldn't have, at first I didn't’t think it would matter, but it didn't’t unfortunately
however, next time I will remember too take more photographs. My planning and
research was also questioned for improvement, I have taken that in mind to improve for
future posts to my blogs.
INSIGHT-MOOD
BOARD!
Photography Person
Organisation:
I organised my model to look in various
different directions, and to hold a guitar
and to sit down. I needed him to pose in
numerous ways, when taking the photos
this was because at the same time I was
looking at an issue of Q magazine to get
some ideas. I was taking inspiration from
this for photography and when making
my magazine. I attempted to replicate
some of the picture styles they had done
inside and on the front cover.
On the right is the issue of the magazine I
regularly referred too. In the end my
model did everything I asked for and I
came out with some good images.
