2. Introduction
In order to create a brand image I did research into what the target audience
was interested in, from that I was able to determine the aesthetic which the
magazine will follow. From there I created a mood board for the magazine and
was able to establish a few titles which were then voted on by a sample of my
target audience.
4. To be able to create a
recognisable magazine
identity I created an
inspiration board.
The collage will help
me identify which
colours, pictures and
fonts will match with
the magazine’s
aesthetic.

9. Final Magazine Name
SWAY
This name was most popular with my target audience. The word itself means to have an influence;
to be powerful and have control. This coincides with what the magazine stands for.
The word itself looks aesthetically pleasing. Many of our voters even said that the word stood out to
them for how it looks, saying that it also has a pleasant sound to it.
Altogether the name “Sway” follows traditional magazine codes and conventions, as it is short and
memorable.
