COURSE: 6th grade ‘C’ and ‘D’.
TEXTBOOK: Materials provided by the teachers.
DATE: Monday 11th, September, 2017
TIMETABLE: Mondays and Thursdays from 15.45 Hrs. to 17.25 Hrs.
CLASS Nº 7
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
 Students will be able to write short sentences describing images by using the
Present Continuous tense.
 Students will be able to describe the location of objects and people using
prepositions of place.
 Students will be able to express obligation using the modal verbs
MUST/MUSTN’T.
 Students will be able to understand and produce reading and writing macro-skills.
ROUTINES:
 Greeting with the usual phrase “Yellow, red, green and blue, hello teacher, how are
you? I’m fine, and you? We are OK, thank you.” repeated by the students, teacher
and trainees.
 Writing down the date on the blackboard.
 Asking students about how they are on this day and if there is anybody absent.
Timing: 3 minutes.

EVALUATION
The trainee will explain to the students that the test should be done individually and
that they can ask her about any doubt they may have. After this, she will give each student a
photocopy with the evaluation, in which they will have to solve three exercises that will be
very similar to the ones already done in class. The exercises will be related to the topics the
students worked with: Present Continuous tense – Prepositions of place – Modal verbs:
must/mustn’t. After explaining each activity with the help of the whiteboard, the trainee
will assist students with their doubts and questions, trying to constantly help them and
encouraging them not to be afraid of tests.
• Type of interaction: Students individually.
• Macro-skills: Reading and writing.
• Timing: 30 minutes.
• Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard.
CLOSING UP
The trainee will collect the tests as students are finishing the activities. Finally, the
trainee will say goodbye to students.

ELT Lesson Plan for 6th Grade on Present Continuous, Prepositions, Modal Verbs

  • 1. PRACTICE II, Didactics of ELT and Practicum at Primary School level Monge Ana Valentina & Morán Ana Belén - 2017 1 LESSON PLAN Nº 7 TEACHER: Estela N. Braun. MENTOR TEACHER: Romina Cheme Arriaga. TRAINEES: Monge Ana Valentina and Morán Ana Belén. SCHOOL: Escuela Nº4 ‘Coronel Remigio Gil’. COURSE: 6th grade ‘C’ and ‘D’. TEXTBOOK: Materials provided by the teachers. DATE: Monday 11th, September, 2017 TIMETABLE: Mondays and Thursdays from 15.45 Hrs. to 17.25 Hrs. CLASS Nº 7 LEARNING OBJECTIVES:  Students will be able to write short sentences describing images by using the Present Continuous tense.  Students will be able to describe the location of objects and people using prepositions of place.  Students will be able to express obligation using the modal verbs MUST/MUSTN’T.  Students will be able to understand and produce reading and writing macro-skills. ROUTINES:  Greeting with the usual phrase “Yellow, red, green and blue, hello teacher, how are you? I’m fine, and you? We are OK, thank you.” repeated by the students, teacher and trainees.  Writing down the date on the blackboard.  Asking students about how they are on this day and if there is anybody absent. Timing: 3 minutes.

PRACTICE II, Didactics of ELT and Practicum at Primary School level Monge Ana Valentina & Morán Ana Belén - 2017 2 EVALUATION The trainee will explain to the students that the test should be done individually and that they can ask her about any doubt they may have. After this, she will give each student a photocopy with the evaluation, in which they will have to solve three exercises that will be very similar to the ones already done in class. The exercises will be related to the topics the students worked with: Present Continuous tense – Prepositions of place – Modal verbs: must/mustn’t. After explaining each activity with the help of the whiteboard, the trainee will assist students with their doubts and questions, trying to constantly help them and encouraging them not to be afraid of tests. • Type of interaction: Students individually. • Macro-skills: Reading and writing. • Timing: 30 minutes. • Materials: Photocopies, whiteboard. CLOSING UP The trainee will collect the tests as students are finishing the activities. Finally, the trainee will say goodbye to students.
