1) The student was observing classes at School No. 4 where students were learning about children's rights, the difference between wishes and needs, and being evaluated through formative assessment using rubrics to provide feedback.
2) Among the students there were some conflicts but the teacher helped resolve them and promote respect. The students were interested in the student teacher and her partner, asking them questions.
3) The teacher had a good rapport with students, creating a friendly learning environment where students felt comfortable participating. This also helped students express feelings or concerns.
4) The school had many resources like netbooks and blogs that made learning more motivating, though technology could be distracting at times. It promoted cooperative work

My observations at School N°4 (Penzu)
Classes' contents and activities
Students were learning the grammatical structure "I have the right to...", vocabulary in connection with
children's rights and the difference between wishes and needs.

Assesment
As the students were asking about the date and mode of the evaluation, the teacher explained them that she
works on "Evaluacion formativa" e.i they are being evaluated all the time.
Before the end of the term the teacher will give them the "rúbricas" which highlight their weak and strong
points. These "rúbricas" alert the students if there is something to improve and provide them feedback about the
performance they have been during those months.
In my opinion, this is a great method that gives the students the opportunity to follow their own progress and
the teacher to modify any of the activities if they do not fulfill the students' needs.
Students' behaviour
Among them
As each student has his/her unique personality there are conflicts and differences among them but those issues
are quickly solved. Sometimes the teacher has to intervene by giving them a talk about respect and
responsibilities so the students can understand and improve those attitudes not only in class but outside.

Towards me and my pedagogical partner
In general, they seem very interested in what my pedagogical partner and I are doing in their classroom. They
ask about our private life and tell us about what they want to be when they grow up as us. They also ask us for
help if they do not understand an instruction or if they do not know the meaning of a word. Of course, there are
cases of students who do not feel comfortable with our presence and they express it but we hope that feeling
will change during our practicum.
In fact, it is amazing how our relationship with some of the students is developing as the time goes by.
This gives me the impression that our practicum will be an excellent experience.
Rapport
As the classes go by I was able to see the good relationship the students had with their teacher. The rapport
creates a friendly class environment. In addition, students feel more comfortable and confident when they have
to participate during activities so the learning process is much more significant. Moreover, the good relationship
they have might help them to express their feelings or worries which from my point of view is very important.
In fact, being a teacher it is not just about teaching academical contents but to encourage and support students in
many different ways.
School's resources
Fortunately, School N°4 has a wide variety of resources which makes the learning process much more
motivating. Students have the privilege to use netbooks and upload their productions in their blog.
Although there are situations where students get distracted while using technology, it is a great opportunity to
prompt the cooperative work and to make the students feel involved and more interested in their homework.
