Level:  Second  Time:  1:30 hour  Lesson Topic:  More forms to refer to past events, the past tense of modals.  Goal:  To make students enhance their knowledge about forms to refer to past events.   Specific Objectives Contents Class Activities  Materials Values  Evaluation Homework * Students develop their skills about  “Forms to refer to past events”  & “ The past of modals ”.  * Students learn different forms to refer to past.  * Students learn how to use forms to refer to past events such as  just – about to – used to – would. *  Students also learn how to use the past modal verbs such as  could – was/were able to – had to. * Students are encouraged to use forms to refer to past events & the past of modals. * Aural and visual  information related to more forms to refer to past events:  a. Just b. About to c. Used to  d. Would  * The past tense of modals:  a. Could  b. Was/were able to c. Had to  *  The teacher starts explaining the main topics of the class (2 min). *  The teacher asks students some questions about the past (3 min).  *  The  teacher introduce the class topic “Forms to refer to past events”:  just – about to – used to – would  &   could – was/were able to – had to  (5min). * The teacher explains all the forms to refer to past events (20 min).  * The teacher encourages students to past in front of the class to create sentences by using little pieces of sentences which they have to stick on the whiteboard (30 min).  *  The teacher asks students to do their book practices  (20 min).  *  The teacher   reviews   the practice with Students (10min).   * Book. * Pen / pencil, notebook.  *  White-board  * Part of sentences made of cardboard * Respect  * Order * Responsibility * Tolerance * Solidarity * Kindness * Class participation *  Completion of class-work *  Check orally and provide feedback in structure, misunderstanding words and pronunciation * Make one sentence with each form that refers to past events.

Goal: To make students enhance their knowledge about forms to refer to past events. Specific Objectives Contents Class Activities Materials Values Evaluation Homework * Students develop their skills about “Forms to refer to past events” & “ The past of modals ”. * Students learn different forms to refer to past. * Students learn how to use forms to refer to past events such as just – about to – used to – would. * Students also learn how to use the past modal verbs such as could – was/were able to – had to. * Students are encouraged to use forms to refer to past events & the past of modals. * Aural and visual information related to more forms to refer to past events: a. Just b. About to c. Used to d. Would * The past tense of modals: a. Could b. Was/were able to c. Had to * The teacher starts explaining the main topics of the class (2 min). * The teacher asks students some questions about the past (3 min). * The teacher introduce the class topic “Forms to refer to past events”: just – about to – used to – would & could – was/were able to – had to (5min). * The teacher explains all the forms to refer to past events (20 min). * The teacher encourages students to past in front of the class to create sentences by using little pieces of sentences which they have to stick on the whiteboard (30 min). * The teacher asks students to do their book practices (20 min). * The teacher reviews the practice with Students (10min). * Book. * Pen / pencil, notebook. * White-board * Part of sentences made of cardboard * Respect * Order * Responsibility * Tolerance * Solidarity * Kindness * Class participation * Completion of class-work * Check orally and provide feedback in structure, misunderstanding words and pronunciation * Make one sentence with each form that refers to past events.
