Renovation of existing office building to house county
government relocated administrative offices, printing facilities
and maintenance facilities. Included conversion of parking
garage level into mail room and maintenance shop, and design
of printing facility on first floor. Project involved upgrading
the existing building facilities to meet ADA requirements,
energy code, and building code requirements.
Included were the replacement of the existing cooling tower
and boiler, remodeling of mechanical systems and ductwork
replacement on each floor of mechanical equipment, redesign
of the entry lobbies to upgrade appearance, replacement of
finishes, installation of new fire detection and smoke alarm
systems, retrofitting of new sprinkler system, repair of existing
building structure, and upgrade/refurbishing of existing
elevators.
Alexia Levite worked with ANCL staff to perform existing
conditions survey and prepare existing conditions drawings.
Existing conditions reports were prepared for the building's
structural, elevator condition and MPE systems conditions.
An on-site evaluation of the dry-pipe sprinkler systems
existing in the parking garage areas was performed, and full
construction drawings and specifications for the retrofitting of
the new sprinklers into the existing building were prepared.
Alexia Levite also worked closely with County representatives
and code officials in resolution of building code and ADA
requirements.
The existing print shop equipment was surveyed and new
equipment layouts were developed for the new facilities.
Furnishings layouts were prepared from an inventory of
existing furniture which the County relocated to this building.
