EXPERIENCE
I&E Specialist/ Designer, Updating of Instruments and Parts in SAP – Valero, Meraux, LLC
This project consisted of compiling updated instrument lists of instrumentation by looking at every plant PID. I
updated SAP Function Locations and Equipment Numbers. Unnecessary function locations and duplicate
equipment numbers were deleted.
I compiled lists of stocked parts for analyzers and associated them with analyzer model numbers. I interfaced
with analyzer manufacturers for spare parts lists. I worked with a maintenance representative to develop parts
lists of stocked and non-stocked analyzer parts required to maintain analyzers. I created Bills of Materials in
SAP for each analyzer.
I&E Specialist, Diamond Green Diesel Facility– Valero, St. Charles, LLC
As field representative for project Instrument Engineer, I monitored installation of instrument systems for any
discrepancies. Conducted meetings for system checkout and solved issues between contractors.

2. I&E Specialist/ Designer, Upgrade of Cat Slide Valve Control System and Heater Fuel Control System and
Building – Valero, Meraux, LLC
I developed the design drawing packages for the replacement and installation of controls of existing six slide
valves and for the installation of the new Alky Heater Fuel Control System and Analyzer Building.
I designed he new heater fuel system for a remote ignition system tied in with the DCS control system.
I&E Specialist, Fourchon Booster Station Upgrade Project – LOOP, LLC
This project replaced all controls for the MOL pumps, Diesel Metering Systems, Diesel Dock Area, numerous
sump systems, and Fire System for the Fourchon Booster Station Upgrade Project. As Lead Engineer I was
responsible for the design, installation, and loop check of systems. I specified all new instrumentation
associated with this project. I worked closely with the Lead Designer, Programmer, and customer. I
communicated with the electrical consulting firm and field construction representative to ensure cohesiveness
between all disciplines. Coordinated design and installation of station fire system with expert fire consultant and
LOOP engineering.
I&E Specialist – Chevron Texaco
I managed expenditures and costs, developed project scopes, coordinated with designers and mechanical, civil,
and control engineers. I procured equipment and completed documentation pertaining to projects. I developed
construction specifications; coordinated bid walks; and awarded contracts. I followed installations, performed
loop checks, and assisted with start-ups.
Construction Representative – Chevron Texaco
As construction rep, I followed 99% of all I&E installations for approximately ten years. I reviewed
construction drawings and monitored installations. I monitored and evaluated contractors work to ensure they
followed Chevron standards. I monitored construction sites for adherence to safety, housekeeping, and
efficiency. I maintained communications between all company departments and contractors. All construction
related paperwork, such as obtaining as-built drawings, was updated during the course of each project.
I&E Engineer, Installation of New HOB & PIB Plants – Chevron Texaco
I interfaced with engineering firms responsible for design of new units ensuring adherence to Chevron
standards. I monitored project through development, design, installation, and startup. I coordinated loop checks.
Project Manager, Manufacturing Controls and Pressure Filter Controls Upgrade to DCS – Chevron Texaco
I was Project Manager for numerous projects including the upgrade of controls for eight mixer systems from
PLC based controls to a DCS system and the upgrade for the pressure filter area instrumentation and relocation
of controls from a PLC based system to a DCS system. I controlled design, installation, and loop check of all
systems. I specified and ordered all instrumentation. I interfaced with programmers to ensure bump-less transfer
of batch controls for all mixer systems. I was responsible for project budgets of over one million dollars each.
Project Manager, Reroute Main 13.8KV Feeds Around Plant – Chevron Texaco
This project consisted of interfacing with a consultant engineering firm. I coordinated the project development,
design, and installation. I developed a construction package and conducted a bid walk. I coordinated gate
closures with security for the installation of underground duct banks at road crossings and the connecting of
new feed cables to existing switch gear.
