CERA (Movie Review)

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE REFLECTION
Context
The movie entitled Artificial Intelligence is about a robotic boy who was programmed to
feel and express love, something no other robot is capable of doing. A robot that is precisely
unique. Through love the robotic boy turns out to have desires, develop a self-motivation and
dream to be a real boy. Advancement of technology is also shown in this movie.
Experience
Being one of the viewers of this movie and as an Educational Technology student, this
movie created a biggest impact in my part. I was very focused as I watched the movie for in
every scene of it was so interesting that I cannot dare to talked long to my seatmate for I don’t
want to missed even a single scene. It caught my attention for the reason that this movie is
related to technology which has the biggest impact in this generation. In fact it made me believed
that it could be possible to have this kind of robot in the future.
I was also touch about the love that the mother showed to David even if he is not her
biological son and also the love which David showed to her mother.
Reaction
I was so amazed about the intelligence that human beings possess for it made them
possible to a technology to be a human like. But I also feel fascinated for the reason that what
might be our future if robots already possess what human beings possesses. We might be
overpowered by the robots and it may take us into the point that robots will rule us instead that
we are the one who is ruling them. I was afraid if time will come that robots will be more
powerful than us.
What I liked about this movie is that it gives hope to a person who is already hopeless
and things become possible because of love.
Application
This movie marked a lesson in me since I have learned that things may possible if you
believe it will work out and if you have a determination to make it. I will use this learning as I
take my journey in life especially in my studies so that I can achieve my dreams. Like what
David did in the movie where he really take courage to get what he want as a result he achieve it.
I will also value the people around me especially my parents because I know their love for me is
like the love of David for her mother. It is unconditional.

1. What has man who is the author of technology done to his fellow men?
The man who is the author of technology helps his fellow men to live a better life. A kind of
life that will give a person experience pleasure where they can bring the world closer together
and help them solve some of the greatest challenges in life and he help them do the things that
they can do which they could not do then. In other words, the man who is the author of
technology gives his fellow men a bridge where human must cross with great care in order to
reach new and better modes of life because technology also gives danger to human beings as
what Albert Einstein said that “obviously our technology has exceeded our humanity where we
started to rely upon all things in technology”.
2. Is technology bound to create and then later destroy?
Technology creates things that we human beings benefited but because of misusing the
technology it gives us problem that destroys our usual living. Well in the first place, technology
gives us a chance to live life easier. Try to compare our lives in older days; we do finish things
longer while by this time we finish things in just a minute. Obviously we are having better
facilities with the help of technologies. In contrary of this there are also problems we are
encounter by this advancement of technologies if we use it negatively. Being a too much
dependent to the technology destroys our whole life, including our health and relationship with
others.
3. Is technology a blessing or a curse?
Technology is a blessing as well as a curse. Technology is beneficial to us today. Imagine life
without the presence of technology. Things will not work faster and easier as what we have
experience using technology. Technology really a great blessing but it might be a curse when we
misuse it for we might be dependent on it.
4. Is technology a form of exploitation of human beings?
Yes, technology is a form of exploitation of human beings because we are too dependent of
technology that we are taking advantage of its uses. As a result we even forget our own
capabilities to do the task. One example of it is when your teacher gives you an assignment about
making an essay instead of making it in your own, you prefer to research to the internet because
it is hassle free, by this you are not using your own capabilities to think and create your own
work.
5. Is technology dehumanizing man? Yes or no? Support your answer.
Yes, technology dehumanizing man if we misuse it or use it negatively. Nowadays, we
use technology as our companions in all situations. It even gives us entertainment. Social
media is one example of it and because of the influence of social media people sometimes
forget the true value of themselves. They lose their dignity and self-respect because they
were already prone to immoral things.

LOVE OF MOTHER TO HER CHILDREN
This is the greatest thing which a mother can give to her children which children really
needed. It is beyond the definition of love where the mother gives this to her children
unconditionally. A mother’s love to her children is like nothing else in the world. No one can
explain it. Just like what the mother of David showed to him in the movie entitled Artificial
Intelligence and just like what my mother showed to me every day.
Every day is greatest experience that I really feel my mother’s love. Her voice awakened
me every morning. Her advice serves as my driving force to go to school every day. I cannot
dare to skip even a single meal because she will get angry if I do so. I always go home on time
because of her, through this I always feel safe and being protected. I’m always in the right path
because of her.
I am very proud that I have a mother that gives me all that I needed. Her love for us has
always been a sustaining force or a source of energy that makes us alive every day. She’s all that
I needed, she’s my bridge to pass the challenges in life so without her I am nothing. As I made to
reflect from the movie I realized how lucky a child if he/she is living with his/her mother for a
mother gives love perfectly.
Realizing that I am so lucky because I have a mother that love me no matter what my
attitudes is, from this day on I will make sure that no days will pass that I don’t show how I love
my mother. I will do the things that will make her happy so that she will be proud of me. I will
be a good and loving daughter to her and treasure her like the way she treasured me.
SOCIETY WHERE ROBOTS LIVE
The movie entitled Artificial Intelligence showed a place where robots live. This is a
place where robots already living with human beings and interact with them .In other words, this
is a society where interacting on technologies.
As a 21st century student I admit that I sometimes wish to live with a robot. To make it do
our household chores and to be with me whenever I am alone for I imagined that the robot will
not leave me like other human did to me. I also admit that I was so dependent in technology
because there were times that I rely on technologies in making my assignments.
If ever there where a place that robots live I want to go there and observe what they are
doing. By that time I’m sure I am the first human being that will tell the world how lucky we are
because we are the only creatures that can made a humanoid creatures.
Since I am studying the course of Educational technology, I want to discover more about
technology and how it will change our life if robots will live with us. I will try to research more
on what technologies can do more aside of the things that I already knew.
IMMORTALITY OF MAN
How man becomes immortal? Well, the movie Artificial Intelligence showed it. David is
a man even if actually he is a robot but because of the characteristic that he possess which is
human like he is a man yet immortal for the reason that he doesn’t die.
