we appeal to the majority of the viewers.

those who visit websites were aged
between
15-25
4. Q3 & 4
Q3. What is your favourite Music Website, and
why?
The most popular music websites that came up
were:
Mtv
Chris Brown
Beyoncé
Capital Extra
All music
These are some of the reasons why:
“MTV because it is a popular website and there is
a channel as well which influences/persuades me
to go onto the site.”
“Chris Brown because it has a combination of
both images and information. Everything is very
current, the theme and colours are great it
follows the theme of his new album.”
“Beyoncé – because her website is visual
awesome allows you to know all the latest
information about her performances and tour
date etc.
Q4. What do you think is most
important on a music website?
The results show that the audience feel that images and text are as important as each other.
However they don’t think a listening tool is important which will help a lot when it comes to
designing our own website.
5. Q5 & 6
Questions 5 & 6:
These questions helped identify if people are
visiting music sites regularly and whether or
not they explore new sites. The results show
that people visit music sites 1-2 times a week

and will help us find our demographic.

visually appealing to

are a few:
“Colours and images. Sometimes themes if they match the artist”.
“Colours/themes that coincide with an album or an artists brand”.
“Photos of performances & appearances. Also upcoming album
covers and promo”
This is helpful as when we have decided on what song and artist we
are going to use we will then try and meet the needs of the
audience by doing the above.

This was surprising that 100% of people who took my survey buy Cd’s
as the statistic of music being downloaded and streamed online is
higher than ever. This was a decline in purchasing cd’s but evidently
people still do. This is great for my research as it means we still have a
huge market.

work must in the slightest relate to the theme/genre of the music
and have a continuous theme throughout.
