Results of primary research questionnaire
This question confirmed to us that the majority of people we asked were female.
This question shows that most of the people we asked were 16–18 year olds who fall in the music industry target audience for the type of music video we are planning to make.
This told us the most popular music genre with our target audience is punk followed by pop, rock and hip hop. We will use this information when decided what to produce.
This shows that the target audience would like a bit of both types of music video. This will influence our music video as indie rock always has a performance element and we will think about putting a narrative in the video too .
Most people watch most music videos on You Tube than on T.V. but most people watch them on both mediums. Our video will need to be able to be viewed on both mediums.
Most people spend between 1-2 hours per week watching music videos. So music videos are an important part of our target audience’s week.
Only a few people attended music festivals, most not going to any. This might be because of the cost of the tickets and cost of travelling there and it is too expensive for the students.
Most people prefer to watch abstract or narrative music videos over live performances.
