1. 1) Have you heard of Kpop?
It obvious that my audience knows about Kpop as it is known world
wide and due to the “Korean Pop Fever” spreading like wild fire has
influenced many people. It would be quite shocking if my own
audience didn’t know about it. It’s a good thing that all of them are
familiar with it as they are able to identify different conventions
which appeal to them as they’re an active audience.

2. 2) What do you think of when you hear the word
“Kpop”?
Kimberly Liwag
As you can see these results show that my audience like to see unique
aspects in a music video. This has given me the idea that I could make the
narrative very surprising which would have a hidden twist. This way I could
have a “unique” feature to it just like my audience requested. A few of them
also listed Kpop groups which indicates that the star power is very important
as it’s what makes the fans recognise them.
3. Do you like seeing a lot of people in music
videos?
Yes
No

3) Do you like to see a lot of people in a music video?
The pie char clearly shows that the result was almost a split but more
people said that they wouldn’t like to have too many people. This could be
due to the fact that the people will divert their attention or that it wouldn’t
look nice or the fact that most Kpop music videos have done this and my
audience want a change.

4) What type of setting would you prefer?
The result table signifies that the mass of the audience would
like nature as the setting which would be good as there are
various places where I can go such as parks, garden centres and
gardens which are all easily accessible. The second most chosen
location is a city which means that I could just go up to London
and film there however there will be various complications such
as getting actors there, making them change into different
outfits and them having to perform in a public place. This could
hinder the performance as they will be shy and won’t perform
their best which could lead to bad acting.

How often do you watch music videos?
Kimberly Liwag
5) How often do you watch music videos?
I asked this question as I wanted to see the frequency and
average amount of time each of my audience watch music
videos for pleasure. This will benefit me as I will know that the
music video I will be creating will not go to waste. It’s clear that
there was nobody that watched a video once a year and there
was 16 out of 20 of them who watch a music video everyday.

6 and 8 What would you expect to see on Korean
Music Magazine advert and album cover?
“The Korean flag, Korean person, good picture”
“Pretty person, nice smile, good fashion”
“good colours, fonts and good title”
“simple and easy to read but attractive”
These are some of the outcomes I received which all came from
their perspective. I can use this for my benefit as I will add these
characteristics to my Magazine Advert which will be catered for
their liking. The results from question 8 was very similar to 6 so I
put both together, but my audience also wanted to see good
fashion sense which I will do through the use of mise-en-scene
(costume) of my artist.
7. What colours would attract you to buy a magazine?
Red and gold
Pink and white
Green, white and
silver
A whole rage of

7) What colours would you expect to see on a music advert?
The majority of my audience have chosen to have a wide variety of colours
instead of the ones I have selected this however will mean that I will have
to have a balanced palette which both genders will appreciate and like. A
few people chose red and gold but after further thinking I have established
that these colours will be too flashy and this also applied to the
green, silver and white.
8. How much would you pay for an album with 12
songs?
£10.00
£12.00
£15.00

9) How much would you pay for an album with 12 songs?
There was one person who would pay £10.00 and another who would
pay £12.00 however the most popular amount was £15.00 this could
be because they know that Kpop songs are worth the price they pay.
Furthermore my audience are familiar with the packaging of Kpop
albums and they will know that the album includes various freebies
such as the photo book, thank you card and sometimes a poster.
