What have you
learned from your
audience feedback?
 Theories of an audience were important when it came to
producing our music video and digipak. There has been many
different theories on how audiences respond to and interact with
the media. This shows this shows how complicated it could be to
focus on the audience and the ways in which audiences can be
visualized by giving a specific focus on audience researchers are
able to see the procedure of the production of denotation made
by the audience as a response to media text. Nevertheless my
audience members will understand the media message in the
same way; this can be shown in the questionnaire results.
Different theorist imply that a
difference of ideas in between the
audiences and audience response
E.g. the hypodermic needle, the
"hypodermic needle theory"
suggest that the mass media has a
direct, immediate and powerful
effect on its audiences.
Focus group
• Helped us develop the initial ideas which we were
planning on using for the production of our project.
• Gave us new ideas in which we could use for our project
• Gave us an insight on what the audience would like to see
• Allowed us to obtain ideas and place them into our
production plan
• Enabled us to eliminate ideas which we thought would be
unsuitable after negative feedback
These are the results that we gathered after collecting the questionnaire results
for the audience research. As you can see you can see in the results, Eminem
was the most preferred rapper amongst the audience in which we gathered
answers from. This table also gathered results for other question that we asked
in order of getting feedback to influence the production of our music video

Ten out of our fifteen survey applicants had claimed that they were familiar
with our Advanced Portfolio‟s song.
In addition we asked our applicants to state their opinions on the song
„Beautiful‟ by Eminem.

“It‟s one of Eminem‟s best songs because has a good message”.
“Its a really good song”.
“I think the song conveys a good message to have a positive attitude to what life
throws at you”.
“Very Good”

• “I haven't heard it in a while but I do remember liking the song”
• “I can listen to it for ages”.
 After collecting the post production feedback results we had
realised that the rap genre is dominated by a male audience.
Eminem is very popular amongst the both genders and generally
the most popular artist in his genre

I was very pleased with the feedback that we
had received for our production. I was unsure
about our video when we had first finished
producing it but thankfully the audience
feedback had eliminated all the doubts that I
had about our production.
 I have learned that audience feedback is key in
both the pre/post production of creating a music
video.
 Pre-production allowed us to produce a video
that would suit the target audience
 Post production- allowed us to know what was
good or bad about our production
Allows us to enhance the product if any product
if any negative feedback received
 Allows us to learn from faults for future
productions

  • 2. What have you learned from your audience feedback?
  • 3.  Theories of an audience were important when it came to producing our music video and digipak. There has been many different theories on how audiences respond to and interact with the media. This shows this shows how complicated it could be to focus on the audience and the ways in which audiences can be visualized by giving a specific focus on audience researchers are able to see the procedure of the production of denotation made by the audience as a response to media text. Nevertheless my audience members will understand the media message in the same way; this can be shown in the questionnaire results. Different theorist imply that a difference of ideas in between the audiences and audience response E.g. the hypodermic needle, the "hypodermic needle theory" suggest that the mass media has a direct, immediate and powerful effect on its audiences.

Focus group • Helped us develop the initial ideas which we were planning on using for the production of our project. • Gave us new ideas in which we could use for our project • Gave us an insight on what the audience would like to see • Allowed us to obtain ideas and place them into our production plan • Enabled us to eliminate ideas which we thought would be unsuitable after negative feedback

As you can see you can see in the results, Eminem was the most preferred rapper amongst the audience in which we gathered answers from. This table also gathered results for other question that we asked in order of getting feedback to influence the production of our music video

  • 15. Ten out of our fifteen survey applicants had claimed that they were familiar with our Advanced Portfolio‟s song. In addition we asked our applicants to state their opinions on the song „Beautiful‟ by Eminem.   • 17.  After collecting the post production feedback results we had realised that the rap genre is dominated by a male audience.   • 20. I was very pleased with the feedback that we had received for our production. I was unsure about our video when we had first finished producing it but thankfully the audience feedback had eliminated all the doubts that I had about our production.
  • 21.  I have learned that audience feedback is key in both the pre/post production of creating a music video.  Pre-production allowed us to produce a video that would suit the target audience  Post production- allowed us to know what was good or bad about our production Allows us to enhance the product if any product if any negative feedback received  Allows us to learn from faults for future productions
