  8. 8. Service IdeaIncrease in travel is noted due to change in lifestyle and even globalization adds on to it. People belonging to di erent agegroups are travelling for various purposes. May it be from business , career, education, shop, holiday, leisure or simple explorepoint of view. The concern is how much better one can actually know the unknown place as an outsider. Though there are numer-ous services provided in this sector raging from guided tours, planned trips, university exchange tours all of these services fail toget under the skin of the place of visit. The essence of exploring the places still remains unexplored which can be provided onlyby the locals residing there. In travel still remains the fear of the ‘unknown’. Meeting people of your own interest would help youexplore the place, the people, the culture you always wished to know. The Service is to bring in collaboration between people whoare travelling to far o unknown locations and the locals.How it works ?The Service would work through a social media. Two kinds of pro le, one the visitor pro le, other the volunteer pro le will existin the forum. The Volunteer pro le , would list people who have an interest in travelling, knows and love their place and environ-ment very well. They will be from diverse backgrounds and personas. The portal will en roll them as volunteers after they uploadtheir bio-data, areas of interest and proper security documents.The Other pro le that is the visitor’s pro le can log in who wants to visit any foreign place and are not really interested in anytravel packages because of their di erent constraints like time, commercial approach etc. Individual youths who are travelling fora career , business would need a native guidance as for them knowing the foreign land from its roots is very essential - thelanguage, gestures , rules etc. Both of pro le would be brought together in the platform to share their likings, interests, thoughtsand visitors can choose from the portal’s suggestion for the Volunteer who would accompany them in their visits.Bene ts to the users :- The visitor [ career, business, study , travel] can stay updated about the local current events.- A prior bonding gets created between the visitor and the volunteer , which builds trust.- It eradicates the sense of fear and insecurity of an unknown land and people.- This service also helps in breaking the stereotyping image of people and nation- Gives a scope of employment or earning to unemployed, retired or students interested for a side income.- Encourages one to one communication.- Nation bonding through human skills , opening a window to the world and making world a family.Revenue Generation :- Advertising : Localisation , advertisements of the places , stay of where the visitor’s are planing to visit.
