2. Poster
S The artist for the music/album that the poster is promoting should be
there for the viewer to see, so as to promote the artist and make them
recognizable to the audience. This is particularly important for lesser
known artists.
S However, if the artist is already well known, they may choose not to
display their face on the poster, and instead just use their/the bands
name. This is only really effective if the artist is truly world famous.
3. Theme
S There should be a recurring theme in the poster from the
CD/Digipak of the same song/album so that the audience
can associate this theme with the particular
song/album, and so that it is evident which product the
poster is promoting.
Both the album
and poster have
the same
recurring image
of the artist
4. Album
S The poster should of course include the album which it is
promoting. Including the name of the album will promote
it to its audience, and so fulfilling the purpose of a music
poster. Also, details of how and where it can be
purchased may be shown, or reviews of the album by top
brands to promote the quality of the content in the album.
5. Info
S There also may be some
information in small print
regarding information on
the band, the album and
the CD/Digipak.
