We believe in collective impact and that sustainability starts with action. We believe
small steps add up, and that to make big change happen, even bigger actions are
needed. So we work both ends: helping individuals learn how to curb their carbon while
working with corporations and government to improve our environment. From Knozone
action days to electric vehicles, we are protecting our region’s future together.

Make Central Indiana one of the Midwest’s most sustainable,
livable regions and Indianapolis a leader in EV adoption.
Drive EV sales and improve our region’s air quality through
education on climate change and guidance for taking action.
The Goal.
Increase the number of pure electric vehicles in
Marion County by 333% in 3 years from approximately
600 (Mar. 2019) to 2,000 (2022).

Why they won’t switch.
Reasons some respondents are not likely to get an electric car include
beliefs that EVs are too expensive, there aren’t enough charging stations,
they feel uncertain about the technology and maintenance, and they believe
they will raise their electric bills.

Why they will switch.
Reasons why some respondents are likely to get an electric car
include that they are better for the environment and they save money.
Additionally, the respondent is interested in affordability including tax
benefits, and they like new technology.

  • 5. The Goal. Increase the number of pure electric vehicles in Marion County by 333% in 3 years from approximately 600 (Mar. 2019) to 2,000 (2022).
