Bauer Media Group would be well-suited to distribute the author's magazine product. Bauer already publishes Q magazine, which targets a similar demographic of young adults as the author's magazine, though the author's magazine would target females specifically with a pop music genre focus. Bauer has experience distributing Q widely through large retailers and knows how to market to the target demographic through their other media properties. Distributing the author's magazine would allow Bauer to gain new customers and generate more profit while complementing their existing portfolio.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Evaluation 3
1. Evaluation 3 – What kind of media
institution might distribute your
product and why
By Courtney Park
2. Stages of Production
My media product would go through 5 main stages of production.
1. First stage includes thinking of ideas. What Genre is the magazine going
to be? Who will my target audience be? What is my magazine going to
look like.
2. Second stage includes researching other magazines already on the
market. How are they successful? Who are their target audience? How
are they similar to my product?
3. Third stage includes creating flat plans. These are a visual aid which
shows what the product will look like.
4. Fourth stage includes constructing the product. This is on an industrial
size.
5. Fifth stage includes distributing the magazine. This can be to a large or
niche audience depending on the target audience.
3. Publishing
Mymagazines target audience is young ‘townies’. My audience is similar to
magazines like Q. Q is distributed to be mainstream and not
Niche. Therefore, my magazine would be distributed to a wide audience by
publishing companies like Bauer Media Group. Bauer Media Group publishes
Q magazine which is similar to my magazine because it is distributed to be
mainstream. This magazine is distributed to large retailers like various
supermarkets.
4. Distribute
• Bauer Media Group publish Q magazine. They also have Q Radio
and Q TV which broadcasts towards their target audience of 75%
males and 25% females and their genre of rock/pop. Bauer Media
Group also have a website and a social networking site which
means their audience can reach Q at any time they want. Bauer
Media Group knows their audience and what their audience want.
By knowing this they can produce new products that they know will
sell and make them more profit.
• My product is a little different to Q as my target audience is mainly
directed towards females. My product is also similar because the
genre of my magazine is pop. However Bauer Media Group
currently do not have many pop magazines directed towards
females, so if they were to distribute my magazine it would give
them new customers and therefore making them more profit.
5. Advertising
• Q magazine is advertised on it’s TV
channel, Radio, website and social networks like
Facebook and Twitter. This is very useful as Q’s target
audience is quite young so they will most likely use
Facebook and Twitter regularly. Also they can make
their own page and advertise their magazine for free.
• For my magazine, my audience is also young therefore
advertising on social networking site will directly target
my audience. Also my magazine cold be advertised on
music channels also owned by Bauer Music Group like
Q TV and Kerrang TV.
6. Distributing My Magazine
• My magazine would be distribute to supermarkets
like Sainsbury’s and to music shops like HMV. HMV
sell different genres of music so it would be easy to
place my magazine in the same area as the pop
music CD’s.
• I would also distribute my magazine inline were
people can subscribe so they can read it online or
have it delivered to their house.
