O
il mining and export has been a lu-
crative industry for the past decades,
thus being the main source of in-
come for many countries, as oil is an ex-
tremely valuable resource because of the
wide range of uses it has on an everyday
basis, from serving as fuel for automobiles
to acting as starting materials for the man-
ufacturing of paints and cosmetics. How-
ever, the extraction of oil is a laborious task
that is done at the cost of environmental
well-being. Water is one of the major re-
sources that get affected negatively be-
cause of oil mining due to a myriad of
reasons.
This leads to raising concerns over
whether oil production is neces-
sary to the extent that it is det-
rimental to our environment.
Valuable resources around
the world are getting used
up at an alarming rate be-
fore they get replenished
the main ones being fossil
fuels such as petroleum and
diesel. This is a grave issue
because fossil fuels are a non-
renewable resource and they
are at risk of being depleted by
the next 40 years. Countries like
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and The UAE are
heavily dependent on oil extraction and
export to keep their economies growing.
The export of oil from these countries
satisfies the energy demands of countries
all around the world. For example, 97% of
the energy requirements in the transport
sector are met in the UK from oil. Further-
more, oil production gives people more job
opportunities, reduces unemployment, and
strengthens international trade. In some
cases, oil-dependent economies have expe-
rienced substantial economic diversifica-
tion due to their oil industry
.
Over-reliance on oil and fossil fuels can
also make the economy vulnerable to price
inflation and fluctuation leading to eco-
nomic instability in the long run. This
highlights how depending on oil produc-
tion to develop a country’s economy can be
a double-edged sword as there is an equal
chance that it could negatively affect the
financial stability of the country. Oil ex-
traction is a long process that has detri-
mental effects on the environment.
From extraction to refinement to trans-
portation, the many steps involved cause
water and land pollution, habitat destruc-
tion, and greenhouse gas emissions. If the
pipelines carrying the oil break, the oil
seeps into the soil and spoils the natu-
ral aquifer that holds rainwater.
All of this causes irreversible
damage to the ecosystem.
The preservation of
the environment is im-
portant for the long-
term sustainability of
both economies and so-
cieties. A healthy envi-
ronment supports biodi-
versity, regulates climate
patterns, and provides clean
air and water. Neglecting envi-
ronmental well-being in favor of
oil production can have adverse effects
on future generations.
Moreover, along with renewable energy
sources, implementing stricter regulations
and raising public awareness in countries
can minimize the negative environmental
impacts associated with oil production and
export. Striking a balance is not only need-
ed for the present and future generations
but also the long-term stability of econo-
mies and the preservation of our planet.

SEARCH WHERE YOU LOST IT!!
W
e all say we lost love and friendship, what was
the reason? It was because there was effort only
on one side. When that person also starts to feel
fed up with putting efforts where the other person
doesn’t care. This is where we
start to lose the relation. We must
find and put the same effort until
they become ours again. We must
go and search the love we lost
from the same person. If it is
your parents, we must go to them
love them, care for them, share
everything. We must do the same thing they did to us.
In conclusion I insist that you go and search the thing
you lost in the same place than some other unwanted
place. Love yourself first, and everything else will fall
in place.

can also help you stay motivated and on track towards
your Olympic dream. Becoming an Olympic handball
player is a challenging and rewarding journey, but with
the right mindset, dedication, and support, it is achiev-
able.

andhya Raag, an annual
signature music and
dance fest of Yuvabhar-
athi Public School, commemo-
rated its sixth edition on the
10th of November, 2023. Sand-
hya Raag is an integral part of
the school’s Visual and Per-
forming Arts Week. Yuvabhar-
athi founded this platform to
promote music and culture,
with a special emphasis on
preserving our classical art
forms. This prestigious event
showcases the talents of sea-
soned practitioners of classi-
cal forms of music, dance and
musical instruments. Presided
by the Chairman, C. Anand,
the Correspondent, Sanjeev
Anand, Principal Geetha Jay-
achandran, and advisor
Meenakshi Vaidyanathan, the
fest started with the perfor-
mance of the school choir with
51 singers and eight instru-
mentalists invoking the divine.
This was followed by solo per-
formances of the students. A
variety of performances were
sequenced to accommodate the
interests of the audience -
Bharatanatyam, vocal music
and instruments like tabla,
guitar, drums and parai to
name a few. This fest, which
lasted for 90 minutes of soulful
renditions, filled the minds of
the audience with a sense of
fulfilment. The audience in-
cluded lovers of classical art
forms who appreciated the
school for this initiative to re-
spect and preserve the tradi-
tional art forms and the per-
formers.
A TRIUMPH OF ARTISTRY FROM
STATE TO NATIONAL LEVEL!

ala Utsav is an initiative of
the Ministry of Education
(MoE) under Rashtriya
Madhyamik Shiksha aimed at pro-
moting arts in education, by nur-
turing and showcasing the artistic
talent of the school students. The
competition is held annually and
is open to secondary-level students
across the country
.
This year’s competition at the
State Level was conducted by the
Educational Department of the
Tamil Nadu Government, held on
the 17th and 18th of November 2023
at Vysya College, Salem.
Among the pool of impressive
participants from 38 Districts, Sen-
thil Public School student D Swe-
tha of Class XI has bagged 1st Prize
and qualified for the national-level
competition which is to be held in
Delhi.
It is remarkable to note that the
school has continuously won the
State-Level Kala Utsav Drawing
competition for 6 years and 3 times
we have emerged victorious at the
National-Level. This success not
only reflects the commitment of
our students but also highlights the
school’s dedication in fostering and
promoting artistic talents.
The winning student and the
drawing teachers were congratu-
lated by the members of the man-
agement, Senthil.C.Kandasamy the
chairman, Manimegalai Kan-
dasamy the vice chairperson,

ganized in the KMC Public Sen-
ior Secondary School, Peru-
manallur premises on 25th No-
vember, 2023. C.S.Manoharan,
KMC Correspondent inaugu-
rated the 8th Tirupur Sahodaya
school Complex- Interschool
Yoga Competition and addressed
the yoga participants.
Dr.T.Srinivasan, Principal of
KMC Public Senior secondary
school welcomed Principals,
Physical directors, referees and
the yoga participants. M.Raghu-
kumar, District Sports and Youth
welfare Officer, Tirupur was the
Chief Guest, addressing the stu-
dents.
He said that challenges are
gifts that force us to search for a
new centre of gravity
. Don’t fight
them. Just find a new way to
stand. T.Ganesh, Principal, AKR
Academy addressed the gather-
ing as special guest.
Nearly 450 students of Grade
II to XII participated from vari-
ous schools from Tirupur and
other Districts. There was a spec-
tacular and beautiful display of
talent, confidence, strength
and flexibility by the yoga per-
formers.
The participants were judged
by yoga referees based on flexi-
bility, coordination, grace and
correctness of posture. This com-
petition endeavoured to provide
a platform to the students to ex-
ercise their yoga skills.
The yoga performers well
represented their asanas with
proper postures, expressions,
and gestures. The top five per-
formers were applauded and
cheered by the spectators. It was
an enlightening experience for
them. The spectacular perfor-
mance and flawless asanas by
students left the audience spell-
bound.
The entire programme
was observed by the Invigilating
officer Sabna Azmi,Little king-
dom school. M.Raghukumar,
District Sports and Youth Wel-
fare Officer, Tirupur, appreciated
the prize winners with trophies
and distributed merit certifi-
cates.
