2. Students are often observed fearing examinations just because
they look upon them as burden. The only way out is working
hard and leaving the rest to fate. One must retain firm belief in
his or her capabilities and stop worrying about the
consequences. Destiny never disappoints the brave. If we
determine to do our best with utmost honesty and diligence, no
force on this planet can stop us from achieving whatever we
desire. The way to perform exemplarily in examinations passes
through preparation beforehand and not waiting for the eleventh
hour to begin. According to an ancient Indian belief, man must
work meticulously to accomplish his aspiration without expec-

that examination has come to play an important role in oneâs educational career.
It is said that child is the father of nation. Todayâs child may be the leader of to-
morrow. Every country must have mechanism start from school to select good
student to become a leader in every walk of life of the country. Through the ex-
aminations students develop the ability to express his thought and that to in a
manner that other can understand it. Examinations also reflect that student has
acquired a certain amount of knowledge in some branches of study. Besides, the
mind of the students, even if he is dull, receives good exercise when he prepare
for examination. Examinations teaches also a lot of things and give training to
various things like punctuality, writing skills timing sense and above all express-
ing their thoughts and opinions. So with the examination time approaching, I
take this pleasure to wish you all good luck .

towards Mother Nature
through a Quality Circle Presentation on February
07, 2018(Wednesday) on the theme We, the Nature
Custodians. The audience realized during the
presentation that man is a part of nature, not apart
from it. They also took a message home that the
key to a greener, happier planet is in our hands
only. We can make a difference because we are the
true custodians of nature. The efforts of the
participants were applauded by one and all present.

6. HOLI CELEBRATIONS
Adding colours to our lives......
With religion, bonfires and coloured chalk, the festival of Holi, is one of the Indiaâs
most beautiful celebrations. The same brought immense joy and happiness to the
tiny tots of Nursery Department on February 27, 2018 when came ducked up in
colourful attire and splashed colours on each other. They sang songs and danced
together to celebrate love, colour as well as the triumph of good over evil.
As rightly said, âDancingâ is like dreaming with
your feet. The young talented dancers of Class
Pre School brought the stage to life with their
mesmerizing dance moves on February 22, 2018.
The performers exhibited patriotic spirit through
the folk songs selected. Their efforts were
applauded by everyone present.
RENDEZVOUS WITH DANCE
7. Poetry is a rhythmical creation of words. The budding
poets of class Pre School won the hearts of the judges
through their captivating poems on January 29, 2018.
They presented poems on themes like Happy Child,
Pencil, and Healthy Food V Junk Food among many
others. The participants displayed the best of their
rhetoric skills and expression during the same.
8. LOHRI is one of the most commonly celebrated festivals in India and is a way to
spread the joy of seeing the sparkling pearls of crops amidst traditional folk songs,
dance and food. The scholars of Classes Pre School and Class I rejoiced during
Lohri Celebrations on January 23, 2018. They made merry as they gathered
around the bonfire and offered til, puffed rice, rewri and popcorns to the God of
fire.
9. Cleanliness is next to Godliness
A Hindi Recitation Competition was organized for the
students of class II on
16 .01.2018 (Tuesday). The
participants came up with
beautiful poems on the
theme âSwachhta Ka Rakhe
Khayalâ and presented them
very confidently. The props
complemented the theme of
their poem too. The wonderful expressions exhibited
gave an edge to the competition.
The show concluded with a pledge to keep the society
and the country clean.
10. Road safety is as simple as ABC....Always Be Careful!
The same thought was instilled in the students during a
workshop on âRoad safetyâ conducted by Ramveer Sangwan and
Shailender Kumar, Assistant Sub Inspector, Delhi Traffic Police
on 15-01-2018(Monday). Basic traffic rules and their
significance was the main agenda highlighted. The young
Modernites pledged to be careful while on road thereafter.

ciation to boost the morale of budding visionaries.
Treading the same path, the school organized an An-
nual Prize Distribution Ceremony on January 25, 2018.
The event cherished the benign presence of Revered
Chief Guest Dr. Kaakran, CMO of a renowned Gov-
ernment Hospital, Honourable Madam Principal Ms.
Alka Kapur, Honourable Director Academics Ms.
Geeta Sehgal, Respected Vice Principal Ms. Mena
Mittle and Office Superintendent Mrs. Ravinder Gum-
ber. The programme commenced with the formal welcome
of the guests and unfurling of National Flag by the chief
guest, revering the prospect of Republic Day.
REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATIONS
13. WIth an aim to make students understand the
dynamics of International politics and how it
affects the world at large, an ISA activity Politicians
who changed the face of the World was conducted
for classes IX- XI. This project included activities
like dramatization, Quiz- O-Mania, Power point
Presentations and making of scrap Files. The
personal narratives of the top class politicians who
were successfully able to create impact were presented by the students of Class X
through face to face dramatization. The students emoted the ideologies of
the politicians around the globe effectively and with conviction. The
students not only tried to advocate the principles and their work ethos but
also made a successful attempt to nullify the other characterâ set dogmas.
It was a great learning session amalgamated with fun and entertainment.
Modernites on Air for Innovation in India
A team of 13 students along with 2 teachers got the privilege to
attend a talk show on Innovation India by NITI Aayog on 4 JANUARY .
It was telecast on DD News and DD
National on 6 January 2018. The students
being in top 100 positions in their
innovation, explained their prototypes.
Dr. Prasoon Bharti, an entrepreneur
appreciated the efforts of the Modernites
that they put in through their innovative
measures for people with special needs
and in the field of agriculture.
14. National Science Day
Modern Public School acknowledges the contribution of
Science to the world and leaves no stone unturned
while inculcating scientific temper in students.
Treading the same path, the school celebrated National
Science Day on February 28, 2018. The young minds
were familiarized with fascinating scientific experiments
which summoned their curiosities and motivated them
to practice science. The students were demonstrated
the facebook live session with Prof. Vijay
Bhatkar (Chancellor of Nalanda Vidyapeeth) promoting
the culture of Science among students.
15. A team of 30 students and 4 faculty
members attended the United Nations Young
Changemakers Conclave on 24 February 2018
held at Indira Gandhi Stadium. The theme of the
conclave was Social Impact and Innovation :
Agenda 2030. This conclave was a special edition
of YCC to create a conversation about the new
frontiers in social impact through technology and
innovation.
Honourable Mr. Justin Trudeau Prime Minister,
Canada , was the keynote speaker of the event. He
addressed the august gathering and applauded
the efforts of youth to take India to greater
heights.

Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was held on 14 February, 2017.
Mr. K L Sobti, Chairman of the school, Mrs. Geeta Sehgal,
Academics Director, Mrs. Mena Mittle, Vice Principal and
Mrs. Ravinder Gumber, Office Superintendent graced the occasion
with their benign presence. The programme commenced with the
formal welcome of the guests. The school students presented a me-
lodious song highlighting the dictum that diligence and patience are
the wings to head start lifes achievements and honour. This was
followed by the Annual Report which volumes of talents of the
Modernites in all the spheres. The foot tapping dance Make in
India mesmerized one and all. The meritorious students were
awarded at the felicitation ceremony for their achievements in
academics and outstanding performances in co-curricular and
extra-curricular activities. The Chairman of the school, Mr. K L Sobti
in his address to the students applauded the efforts of the school in
the all round development of the children. His valuable
advice, When confidence is in your eyes and hope is your wings,
then the sky is yours, resonated in everyones heart. The day culmi-
nated with the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
17. A parent is a teacher at home and a teacher is a parent in school and
the child is the centre of our universe
Under the able guidance of Madam Principal, Ms. Alka Kapur, an
Orientation programme was organized for the parents whose children
would embark their journey of life at Modern Public School. The event
aimed at to familiarizing the parents, as partners in progress with the
curriculum, rules and regulations of the school, teaching methodologies
and the co-scholastic activities. Madam Principal, Mrs. Alka Kapur,
addressed the gathering. In her speech, she laid stress on effective
communication between the teachers and the parents and also sought
their support and suggestions so that the children could be provided the
best for their overall development. She also gave guidelines on effective
parenting. Madam Principal also suggested different measures to nurture
a child with love and care to build a strong foundation for a glorious future.
The orientation programme proved to be a sincere effort made by the
school in educating the parents to look after and guide their children in
proper manner and helped the parents in identifying suitable follow up
methods to reinforce the learning process of their children.
