The fonts used in both the ancillary products are similar, this can be seen
by the sans serif font used and the same style in both pictures. This style
would of chosen this font because it is seen as new and informal font and
with the inbetweeners being a comedy this would be the message they
would be trying to portray in all of there products. Finally, the fonts would
be the similar to retain the sense of brand identity, this would be because
they would want have some continuity through their products to have a
brand identity.
Fonts
Mise-en-scene
The mise-en-scene of the two products are very similar and both show four
characters which due to being on both products shows they are wearing quite
casual clothes. This connotes that they are relaxing or enjoying themselves in a
informal environment. As well as this the location although in both changes it
does show that they appear to be holiday and on a strip that is usually found on
holidays, this shows what age they would be around and what they are doing
there. This consequently gives you an insight into what type of audience they
will be appealing and relating to.
Image
The image that is used in both the products are wide shots, the poster shows
the four characters looking at the camera with the background, similarly on the
magazine cover it shows the four characters but with a title character in front
of them as well as room to see where they are. This infers again why they are
where they are because a women revealing herself to them is used and then a
strip where alcohol is consumed is also shown. This therefore creates a brand
identity because of what they are doing and the type of places they are, as well
as pointing out to the audience which gender and age range the film would be
more appropriate for.
Colour
The colours in both are not hugely similar which shows a flaw in the concept
of brand identity which they had built up with the image and fonts, however
the two colours schemes used are very bright. As a result of this it can be
inferred that is for a younger audience because generally younger people prefer
the bright colours such as yellow and purple as opposed to older colours which
would be seen as greys and white.

  • 2. The fonts used in both the ancillary products are similar, this can be seen by the sans serif font used and the same style in both pictures. This style would of chosen this font because it is seen as new and informal font and with the inbetweeners being a comedy this would be the message they would be trying to portray in all of there products. Finally, the fonts would be the similar to retain the sense of brand identity, this would be because they would want have some continuity through their products to have a brand identity. Fonts
  • 3. Mise-en-scene The mise-en-scene of the two products are very similar and both show four characters which due to being on both products shows they are wearing quite casual clothes. This connotes that they are relaxing or enjoying themselves in a informal environment. As well as this the location although in both changes it does show that they appear to be holiday and on a strip that is usually found on holidays, this shows what age they would be around and what they are doing there. This consequently gives you an insight into what type of audience they will be appealing and relating to.
  • 4. Image The image that is used in both the products are wide shots, the poster shows the four characters looking at the camera with the background, similarly on the magazine cover it shows the four characters but with a title character in front of them as well as room to see where they are. This infers again why they are where they are because a women revealing herself to them is used and then a strip where alcohol is consumed is also shown. This therefore creates a brand identity because of what they are doing and the type of places they are, as well as pointing out to the audience which gender and age range the film would be more appropriate for.
  • 5. Colour The colours in both are not hugely similar which shows a flaw in the concept of brand identity which they had built up with the image and fonts, however the two colours schemes used are very bright. As a result of this it can be inferred that is for a younger audience because generally younger people prefer the bright colours such as yellow and purple as opposed to older colours which would be seen as greys and white.
