Significance:
Shots:
ď‚· After viewing and analysis the trailer it allowed me to assess what was normal for an
average trailer, this included the amount of shots of different camera angles that were used
which was 74. This showed me that the amount of shots need to be extensive and different.
ď‚· The type of shots in the trailer were vast and gave me the idea that they should different for
maximum effect on gripping the audience to remain interested in my trailer. From this is
found that the wide shot was the most effective shot used in a conventional comedy trailer,
this could be due to it being able to show both the character and a good view of their facial
expressions as well as the background which could also be an aid to the comedy.
ď‚· The length of the shots varied and the maximum shot length was 12 seconds but that was an
isolated shot and was not even close to being matched again. This leads me to the
conclusions that most shots average around 4-5 seconds. This means that most shots need
to show enough time to entice the audience to going to see the film, but not such a length of
time that the audience will get too much of the story so that they will not want to see it.
ď‚· The amount of scenes that were used in the trailer went up to 20 this means that I will need
around 20 locations from which to take my shots from. This showed me that the diversity in
9. location that is relevant to the film is massive because it has infer that it has the ability to
show around 2 hours’ worth of film in around 2-3 minutes.
