10. Some of the topics covered:
•Digital divide caused by: lack of prior experience (learning how
to use ICTs is like learning a different language, the sooner you
start the better), lack of training, lack of time, tendency to
consider themselves from another generation, fear due to lack
of knowledge, negativity or rejection generated by constant
negative messages on the news.
•Factors for the continuation of digital divide: some children
prefer their parents to know less about online technologies,
some children consider that some tools like social networks and
video games are a sign that identify their generation.
•Shrinking of digital gap due to the widespread of smart phones
amongst adults and the integration of digital screens and online
platforms in schools.

11. Some of the topics covered:
•Most children are willing to interact with parents,
they like to teach and guide their parents on the use
of ICTs.
•Parents can help them specifically in making a more
prudent use of ICTs, since parents are able to detect
more easily the dangers that certain behaviors can
lead to, thanks to their life experiences.
•Parents can help them identify credible online
information sources.
•Children suggest parents be trained in their work
environment – PROTEGELES is already doing this.
