2. Introduction
Mohammad Irfan, my tailor
master. His shop name is
‘Sumreen Tailor’, located in
Affandi Town, Hyderabad
Pakistan. I have been getting his
services since five years. He’s so
good in his work, he’s reasonable
also. Most importantly he returns
the clothes on time, which is the best thing and the only reason to stick with his services.
When I approached and asked him for the interview, he was so happy and was
immediately getting ready for this. So, I asked him quickly, here’s the all effort.
Interview Questions and Answers
1. Why did you choose tailoring as a profession?
It was all my passion; I always wanted to do this.
2. How many years experience do you have with tailoring?
Almost of 15 years.
3. Have you ever made a sewing mistake? How did you handle the situation?
Well I would say it’s a technique. Whenever it happens I usually made a design over it.
And believe me this is not a difficult part, the worst part is to convince customer that this
wasn’t mistake, it is actually design. Sometimes customers believed it and sometimes not.
But I used to it.
4. How would you handle a situation where you have altered a person’s same suit three
times, but still, the customer insists it does not fit right?
It never bothers me. This is my duty to do it. My any customer can give you the answer
of this question, I have never yelled on anyone on any situation. I prefer to satisfy them at
first. If it doesn’t fit right, they can get their suit even after the third time.
5. What is the most rewarding part of being a Tailor?
To see the happy customer, that’s all.
6. What do you like most about being a Tailor?
Every profession has limit, some are seasonal and some are not. This business has its own
perks, it never ever down in any season.
3. 7. What do you like least about being a Tailor?
Sometimes due to any personal reason I couldn’t be able to return the orders on time but
customers don’t understand this thing, as the common perception that tailors always
speak lie. This is what I don’t like about it.
8. What are your career goals as a Tailor?
I haven’t thought about it much. I just want
to do it in the same way, as I’m doing it. I
just want to earn from it and want to take
care of my family, that’s it.
