Lecture Objectives (Foundation Module) Biochemical aspect of Membrane Lipids, Carbohydrates & Proteins At the end of lecture student will be able to: 1. Describe the structure of cell membrane. (Fluid mosaic structure). 2. Describe the different types of membrane proteins. 3. Describe the different types of membrane Lipids. 4. Enumerate functions of cell membrane. 5. Explain why phospholipid is best suited for cell membrane. 6. Fundamentals of membrane transport.
