companies and groups can come together to
communicate, explore and share videos.
 The

year was 1969 , when CompuServe was
the first major internet provider.
 Then from that point the internet and social
networking grew into the sophisticated way
of interacting with others.
 1.9

billion people use some sort of social
network.
 1.4 billion of those people prefer facebook as
their networking site.
 98% of adults ranging from ages 18-24 are the
biggest supporters of social networks.
 250 million people use smart phones for
networking.
 Individual

can keep in touch with friends.
 Individual can explore and find lost relatives
and friends.
 Share important information, such as photos,
birthdays and special announcements.
 Employment possibilities.
 Education research.
 Employers

or potential employers can see
your actions, which could cost you your
employment or not getting employment.
 Students spending to much time on sites.
 Inappropriate behavior, language and photos.
 Cyber Bullying and stalking.










