4. Audience feedback
• During the construction stages we were
able to show the versions featured earlier
on in my blog to our class and received
feedback sheets (previous two slides) with
WWW (what went well) and EBI (even
better if) sections. This enabled us to
evaluate what we should keep the same
but more importantly what the audience
didn’t like and gave us an indicator as to
what we needed to edit out or re-film.
5. Elements audience liked
• Costume was good and continuity always
thought about.
• Video had a comedy factor and suited the
song.
• Variety of shot types used to stop video
becoming boring.
6. Improvements mentioned
• We were told as a group that our ancillary
tasks lacked excitement and the colours
were to dull.
• Also mentioned that the lift scene in our
video was too slow and out of pace with
the rest of the cuts we made.
• Similar to the first point, we also got told
that the lighting was an issue in some
shots from the video.
7. Marks
• We were also given marks for the video
and on the second screening also marks
for each of the ancillary tasks. These
marks were an important indicator of how
much improvement we needed to make to
each of the individual tasks.
8. Importance
• This was a very important stage of the
project as the first screening was the first
time we had mass feedback across the
whole video. Without this we may not have
ended up with the clear narrative we
achieved and some shot types or scenes
may not have been as suitable as they
ultimately were. The advice given was
crucial to us gaining the marks we hope to
achieve.
