The student learned several important lessons from receiving feedback on their project:
1) Initial feedback on their pitch helped them improve their ideas and head in the right direction by getting suggestions from their target audience.
2) Feedback on early cuts of their video identified issues like low video quality and poor lip syncing that needed fixing before the final version.
3) Later feedback confirmed their genre was clear but also found some remaining areas to improve like occasional lip syncing issues.
4) Overall, the feedback process helped them create a higher quality final product that better met their audience's expectations.

Hadj Ounis's most notable work is his sculpture titled "Metamorphosis." This piece showcases Ounis's mastery of form and texture, as he seamlessly combines metal and wood to create a dynamic and visually striking composition. The juxtaposition of the two materials creates a sense of tension and harmony, inviting viewers to contemplate the relationship between nature and industry.

2. The Pitch
• Before beginning to create our video we put together a pitch including our initial ideas and
thoughts for the video. We then designed several questions to ask our audience what they
thought of the pitch. This was essential for getting an idea of what our audience was after
and building on some of our first ideas.
• The response to the pitch was very positive, and we were given some ideas to improve our
initial plan such as different locations to use E.g Clee Hill. They also suggested that we could
embed flashbacks within the narrative part of our video, this later became a key aspect of our
video, an idea we would not have had without the feedback.
• The feedback for our pitch ensured we were heading in the right direction and targeting the
correct audience. It also made sure that the genre and purpose of our video was clear.
3. Facebook group
• After putting together a rough cut of our video we created a Facebook group, the idea was
that we could target a much wider audience, and ask them questions about our first cut.
• The Face book group was not too successful, as we didn’t get any comments back from our
group.
• However, we did speak verbally to several people who had watched the video, and they
commented that they though some of the performance footage was very dark and unclear,
this then made up re consider our options and re film the some of our footage. As we
gathered more footage, the feedback became more positive saying that the video was
becoming clearer and the footage had more clarity.
4. Feedback for rough cut
• Most people we asked felt that the lip syncing needed
improving greatly and that the footage was too dark for the
per formative section.
• This was taken onboard and we started to re plan a reshoot
for the entire video, this was shot outside, where we had no
problems with dark lighting as it was all filmed in natural light
outside.
• I think worked out for the better as the footage I now really
clear and of a high quality.
5. Feedback for final cut of video
• For our latest feedback we put together several focus groups in order to get
some thoughts on our final cut.
• Both individuals thought that the genre was clear through the video, and
knew that we were aiming for an indie/ folk genre.
• They really liked the idea of a short story within the video and the use of black
and white and slow motion to connote memory and loss, as this was original.
• However, both commented that the lip syncing slightly off at the beginning of
our video, but improved greatly towards the end of the video, I think this is
something that we could improve on if we were to do the video again.
• Becky also said that the black and white symbolised death, this is not what we
intended as we wanted to show memory through the black and white
however, I feel this is ok as it creates ambiguity and resembles the slightly
entropic features we wanted to show through the video. This links to Barthes
enigma theory.
6. Digipak and Print advert feedback
• For the final feedback on my digipak and print advert I came up with several questions to
ask an individual who fell into our target audience range of early twenties.
• She noted that there was defined continuity between all three products, which was created
by using the same font, featuring the artist in all products and the ongoing theme of the
outdoors.
• She did say that the image on the print advert could be improved as it looked slightly flat, I
think this is something I could have improved on. However, I felt the image looked ok and
didn't need to much editing.
• Overall, I’m really happy with the response to my print advert and digipak
7. Overall
Overall I thought that the feedback benefited our
project and helped us create and develop a
professional looking video which mirrors a similar
look to those of videos of a similar genre.
