1. The Descent

2. Here in this screen shot we see them coming down in the boat. This is a wide shot of
the three women having fun together. We are able to see them in distance floating on
the water in the boat. They are all wearing different colour helmets. This could be to
show the importance of each character.

3. This is a screen shot from the opening scenes where we see Sarah, Juno and one of their
other friends having fun doing extreme sports together. We know they like doing
extreme sports because later on in the film they go in the cave exploring. In this picture
we see Juno is the only one wearing red and this makes her stand out compared to the
others. Red can symbolize evil, in this particular scene we see that Juno seems to be
very jolly as she is the only one with a big smile on her face and doesn't’t seem to be
concentrating as much as the other two. This is a wide shot and this makes us aware of
their actions and helps us understand what kind of people they are.

4. Here in this screen shot we see that Sarah’s husband and daughter is on the hill
opposite them and she points as they as she tells the others. Sarah's helmet is black
which is the same colour as her husband’s coat. In this particular shot we see the backs
of all three women and Sarah in pointing at her husband and daughter.

5. In this screen shot we see Juno and Sarah’s husband who seem to be very cozy with
each other as he is having an affair with Juno behind Sarah’s back. Juno seems to be
happy that Sarah’s husband has helped her out of the water after Sarah pushed her in
there. We instantly see that Juno is happy to have been helped by Sarah’s husband.
This is a close up of both of them together.

6. Here the camera is positioned down at Juno as she looks up at Sarah and her husband
kiss. This can show that she is being kept a secret as she is the one who is having the
affair which is being kept a secret. Her face can show that she is jealous and greedy as
she wants Sarah’s husband all to herself and does’t want to share him. This could be
one of the reasons she is wearing red.
