Shots 1-9 establish the setting and show the kidnapping that kicks off the story. Shots 10-18 introduce the two main characters through a series of rapid close-ups that build intrigue about their similarities and differences. Shots 19-27 follow each character preparing separately, with shots of the kidnapped woman to elicit sympathy. Shots 28-36 continue building suspense through close-ups as the gangsters ready to confront each other. Shots 37-42 show the confrontation and an ambiguous ending with police arrival, leaving the resolution uncertain.

1. STORYBOARD

3. Shots 1 to 9
◦ Shots 1 to 9 are used to set the scene of the music video. Shot one is a establishing long shot
of a street so that the audience can understand where anouts the video is taking place. The
next two shots are over the shoulder shots that follow the first character we meet, who will soon
be kidnapped by a rival gangster. By using an over the shoulder shot we are putting the audince
into the action that is about to take place. The nect shot shows her being kidnapped and sets
the tone for the rrst of the video. As it is a long shot it gives a kind of distance to the action.
Shots 5-9 are close ups shoys of the first gangster. By focusing on just certain parts such as
eyes and feet it gives an air of mystery and keeps the audince intrigued.

5. Shots 10-18
◦ Shots 10-18 are used to introduce us to the two main characters. We plan to edit the close ups
so they shown rapidly one after another to build an atmosphere of intrigue. Each close up
shows a little more about each character until shots 10 and 11 which show us our first gangster.
Then shots 12 to 15 repeat the same shots as before except with a different person. By using
similar shots for each of the two gangsters creates a feel of continuity but also shows the
audince that they are more si ilar than they realise. Shots 16 to 18 show the full face of the
character as well as him walking down the street. This once again puts the audince in the action
as by filming the gangster from behind makes them feel as though they are following him.

7. Shots 19-27
◦ Shots 19 and 20 follow the gangster down the alley whilst shot 21 shows the villain back at his
house arming himself ready for the show down. Shots 22 to 24 alternate between each
gangster and show how each is preparing and arming themselves. Shot 25 show the girl he has
kidnapped whilst 26 is a closeup of her scared eyes. By using a close up it shows the audince
to see the fear in her eyes and to sympathise with her more. Shot 27 shows us a close up of the
hero getting dressed.

9. Shots 28-36
◦ Shots 28 to 32 show close ups of the gangsters getting ready to confront each other. Once
again by using a lot of close ups it is creating a suspenceful atmosphere. Shot 33 is a close up
of the second gangsters face. This allows the audince to get a good look at the villain. Shots 34
to 36 show us the two different gangsters going to meet. By filming them as midshots we get to
see the characters closer up.

11. Shots 37-42
◦ Shot 37 shows the two gangsters finally confronting each other. By filming the shot at a side it
once again shows the motif that they are two sides of the same coin. By using a close up with
shots 38 and 39 of the two gangster eyes it allows the audince to see how they are both feeling.
Shot 40 is flashing blue and red lights which aignal the police have shown up and shot 41 is the
screen fading to black. By leaving the video on an ambigious ending it ends the video with a
feeling of suspence as there is no way of knowing what happened.
