 Analyze Learners: there are middle school students and high school students
in the same class, they still live at home, they are vision impaired, which
means they are probably more auditory learners, they are Russian, the class
pretty much evens out in boys and girls. Some competencies will be that all
the students are vision impaired which will make it limited to what I can
assign.
 State Objective: My students will understand the traditions of the fourth of
July, after listening to auditory lectures presented by podcasts, comparing
and contrasting discussion about similar traditions in Russia, and traditional
meals prepared by the end of the week they’ll be 80% accurate.
 The 3 M’s: YouTube, podcasts, and zello will be used throughout this lesson
to help understand the Fourth of July.
 Utilize Media and Materials: I think my students will have little to no
knowledge about the fourth of July. I will incorporate Russia’s similar holiday
to give them something they can compare and contrast to. If they understand
the similarities of the two holidays then they can better understand
American’s holiday.
 Require learners: I think my students will be more auditory listeners because
they have vision impairment. Since they have this disability their other
senses are stronger than an average student. My lessons will be based more
auditory than visionary for these students.
