2. My Class:
• It’s a public school
• There are 25 students in my class
• 15 girls and 10 boys
• 2 boys have ADHD, 1 boy is gifted, along with 2
gifted girls
• Its located in a rural area
• 87% white, 10% African Americans, and 3% Asians.
• It’s a high school class with a mixture of 9th and 10th
graders
3. Objectives:
• Days 1-2
o My students will balance chemical equations by listening to lectures,
taking notes on the lesson, and doing group projects by the end of the
second day at an 85% accuracy.
• Day 3-5
o My students will draw lewis structures and 3D atoms by working with 3D
structures, taking notes and working in groups by the end of the third day
with an 80% accuracy.
4. Technology:
• Prezi (directions to group work)
• Wiki (all notes, discussions, group work, homework
and assignments)
• Power Point (lecture notes)
5. Week Plans:
• Monday- Bellringer with simple balancing equation.
Then start lecture with powerpoint along with some
easy-difficult equations together. Then equations to
take home.
• Tuesday- bellringer with hard equations. Go over
homework problems. Start small group work.
• Wednesday- bellringer with white boards. Start new
lesson notes.
• Thursday- Do structures together for bellringer. Use
3D structures to demonstrate group work for Friday.
• Friday- Group work on 3D atoms.
