5. Question 1
This question asks how well I
presented the information. 80% of
people who answered my question
said that my information was
presented either good or excellent,
this connotes that my information
was not boring to look at because
80% said it was good or excellent.
6. Question 2
This question asks of I spoke clearly
through out my presentation and this
chart shows that 60% of the people
who answered my survey said I did,
however the 40% said no. This could
be because the 40% of the people
who answered my survey could have
been sitting at the back of the room
so I was probably not loud enough, so
I need to speak more loudly next time
so people can hear me more clearly.
7. Question 3
This question asks about how well
my whole presentation was
presented in terms of visual
standards and most people said that
my presentation was good and the
other 40% said that is was ok, but
nobody said it was bad.
8. Question 4
This questions asked people if they
would buy my magazine after my
presentation and 100% of the people
that answered my survey said that
they would. This connotes that my
magazine was appealing to them and
my work was well presented and
informative enough to make them
want to buy my magazine.
9. Question 5
From these comments I have gathered that I need to speak more clearly in my presentations so
that people will be able to understand everything I say. Also 2 people commented that I it would
have been good to talk more about the history of Vibe my magazine of inspiration, which is a
good thing to take note on because it will give me more knowledge on how to start my own
magazine like Vibe because we are both in the same genre and same industry. I also need to
annotate my magazine designs more and talk about why my layout is the way it is.
11. My benefits
• I talked about the genre of the magazine, and
about its competitors and how it will be
marketed.
• I also covered the production plan in good detail.
• I included mostly all the content needed for pre-
production material apart from plan for images.
• I also talked about the front cover in good detail
• I even gave opportunity for feedback in my
presentation using survey monkey.
12. My drawbacks
• I needed to cover more on the content of my
magazine.
• Needed to go more in detail describing and
talking about the format of my magazine.
• Needed to talk more about target audience
and their spending power.
• Needed to talk more about my DPS
17. Improvement during presentation
Next time when I pitch I will make sure
using phrases such as ‘that much and this
much’ and actually say the number like
‘four million’.
I will also talk about the DPS more and
explain its similarities and differences to
my draft drawings and my magazine of
inspiration, and talk about why have
decided to make these changes and
similarities.
18. Reflecting on my pitch
• I reviewed over my pitch by
watching the video of my pitch to
see if I was explaining it clearly, if I
skipped any key points or if I had
good eye contact with the
audience.
• The video helped my to see my
mistakes I made when I was
explaining the through my slides
such as I stuttered a lot and used
fillers such as ‘errm’.
• Another mistake which I noticed I
had made when I reviewed over
my pitch was that I was going
through the slides too fast and
skipping some information that
needed to be said in my pitch.
19. Presentation
• I think that I have clearly presented my work because I
have labelled the slides with heads to what they are. I have
also made sure that my slides aren't to full up so that the
audience doesn’t know where to concentrate on. However
for on of the last pages I have put lots of tables showing
costs and profits on a page but I have made it clear to
which table I am talking about when explaining because I
used prezi to zoom into the images so that they can keep
up with me and now exactly what I'm talking about.
• Another way in which I have limited the amount of
information I present on the visual presentation is by
creating a script an d putting most of the text on that so the
audience aren't forced to read of the powerpoint.

31. Legal
Vibe places their consumer policy on their websites to show to the audience that they have on
and what it states.
The copy right law states that any content which is used from another source or can not be sent
or used on SpinMedias pages or on any of its publications. Copy right law means that if any of
your content used in any of your publications can not be from another source which you have not
gain permission to use. So if you use a picture of someone and place it within your magazine the
person who you have used the picture of has the capability to sue the business for copy write.
The link below shows the magazine’s policy:
http://www.spinmedia.com/privacy-policy
32. Press complaints are complaints that the audience
are entitled to make and report a magazine for.
They are allowed to complain about things such as
inappropriate content used such as racial comments
which might offend, pictures used of people who
may have not have given permission to use or even
for adding in false information.
An example of this is when Tom Cruise attempted to
sues Bauer for $50m because Bauer published false
information that Tom Cruise has cut Suri his
daughter out of his life. So because they had
published false information about him without his
permission he was allegeable to sue them for this as
it breaks the copyright law. However he didn’t not
win the case as he didn’t gave enough evidence
against Bauer and ended up having to abandon the
case.
This shows that anyone has the right and capability
of taking action towards a brand if they break any of
the copyright laws and you have enough
information and evidence to back your claims.
33. IPSO
IPSO is and organisation which monitors content
released by magazines to see if they have
displayed any content which might offend any
types of audience and there for will get the
magazine sued if any customers decide to take the
magazine company to court because of the
inappropriate content. IPSO also takes on any
complaints and with that conduct their own
investigations on the magazine the complaint was
on.
https://www.ipso.co.uk/IPSO/aboutipso.html
34. https://www.ipso.co.uk/IPSO/aboutipso.html
IPSO will take forward complaints from anybody that an in
accurate information has been published off. If the complaint
has been made to the specific individual that is reporting to
IPSO, IPSO is able to take forward a complaint from a third
party, but will need to consider position of direct affect to the
party to decide whether it is reasonable to do so.
IPSO only consider complaints that publications which are
members of IPSO have breached the Editors’ Code of Practice.
IPSO is able to consider complaints within 4 months of the
conduct complaint or the publication of the article.
Submitting a form means that if ISPO does think that the
publication has breached the Editor’s Code, IPSO will send
the details of your complaint to the publication, which will
then give you an opportunity to resolve the problem directly.
35. HSE
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is like the
watchdogs for work related health, safety and
illnesses. The HSE work to prevent work related
injuries, illnesses or death all across Great Britain.
The work place needs to have health and safety
checks and workers must be informed on how to
act when a threat or incident occurs.
HSE will help me gain compensation if any arm is
brought to me in my working environment such as
if I was to trip over and break my leg because of
wires laying around unprotected in the workplace.
https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/health-and-safety-executive
http://www.hse.gov.uk/
36. Editors code of conduct
The editors code of conduct effects my magazine because it stops me from putting on content in
my magazine about other people without their consents. Unless with the persons consent the
magazine or reporter are both not legally allowed give information out about a person especially
if they were a victim or witness at a place of illegal action.
The code also means that I will have to be accurate with information I put on my magazine,
because if I put inaccurate information in my magazine such as, there will be a music festival in
Reo on the 15th of June and I got the date wrong it will mean that all those people will have
waited their time and money travelling to there , when the festivals in 2 months from then. This
means that all those people who went their based on the information they got from my magazine
can use this editors code of conduct to sue us for compensation.
The editors code of conduct also states that the magazine has the give opportunities for replies,
such as if an inaccuracy has been made in your magazine people will need to be able to contact
you regarding that and therefor you need to give back a reply to their complaints fi reasonable.
Also when I am interviewing the artist in my magazine I am not allowed to harass them in
anyways such as continuously call them up or ask uncomfortable questions within the interview.
Furthermore I am not allowed to use any form of discrimination within my magazine such as
stating that a curtain race is better than the other, or use any racist comments within my
magazine.

37. How to make a complaint
To make a complaint fill
out the form with details
of your complaint such as
the publisher of the
magazine which your
complaining against, what
the complaint is on, how
did this effect you and why
you are making the
complaint. You also have to
give your information such
as contact details.
https://www.ipso.co.uk/oxbxApps/app/complaint1.html
38. Complaint procedure
1. When a complaint is sent to IPSO they assess it to see if a code has been
breached or not.
2. If the complaint is valid and a code has been breached the details of your
complaint will be passed onto the editors of the magazine were they will
be given a chance to resolve your problem directly.
3. If after contacting the magazine directly and not getting resolve, IPSO
will pass on the information to the Complaints Committee, and they will
write to the magazine and ask to respond back to the complaint. The
Complaints Committee may ask the person with the complaint to give
more information to back up the complaint better.
4. If the complaint is still unresolved the Complaints Committee can make a
judgement on what the magazine can do to resolve the matter such as
make corrections to what the complaint was on.
5. After all those processes you are still unhappy you can request a review
by the Complaints Reviewer, which is a post which must be filled by a
IPSO member such as Richard Hill MBE.
https://www.ipso.co.uk/IPSO/procedure.html
39. Calendar events
My magazine will be launched on the 1st of January 2015 because I
want to mark the beginning of my magazine with the beginning of a
new year, also I can use the new year to put in offers into my magazine
such as new years sale so that people will be attracted to buying my
new magazine because of the low price.
My magazine will have festive promotion such as Christmas offer e.g.
20% off on the magazine. I will also include special offers at festive
times such as at Christmas, Easter, Halloween and such as offer 30%
off ticket vouchers for music concerts. The dates and times off the
concerts will be accurately informed to the audience in the magazine.
This type of puff promotion will attract my target audience because it
consist of young people who are more commonly interested in going
to concerts and festivals.
