1. First I opened a new photoshop
document, I ensured that it was set to
international paper and that the size
was a4. This is in order to make sure
that if I decided to print my document
that it would print in the correct
format. It also ensures that my fashion
spread is conventional.

2. Then i inserted my image into
photoshop by dragging and dropping
the file into photoshop. the n i chose
to resize the image making it slightly
bigger so that i would have room to
move it about and position it
wherever I wanted. Another reason
for resizing the image is that it
creates a medium long shot which is
important in order to make the
clothes stand out, which is one of the
aims of a fashion spread.

3. I then adjusted the image, I did this in order to
draw more attention onto the model’s outfit
and the more interesting parts of the
background. By doing this it makes the image
more visually interesting as the detail in the
plants can be made out more clearly.

4. Next I adjusted the hue/saturation,
doing this makes the image stand
out more and makes the model’s
hat stand out more it makes the
white stand out more clearly.

5. Next I adjusted the vibrance in order to
bring out the colour of the leaves on the
trees as well as the colours in the
poncho, doing this makes the image
more appealing as the colours stand out
more. Both of these things are important
to a fashion spread as they need to
ensure that they are catching and visually
interesting.

6. Next I adjusted the brightness and contrast in order
to make the details of the image stand out more.
Doing this also makes the clothes stand out more as
the colours contrast more, making the product more
visually interesting.

7. Next I inserted the text, I chose
to have the font colour as red as
it matches with the colour of the
poncho and also manages to
stand out from the mostly green
background.

8. Next I decided to move the text
into the top right so it would
stand out more. I decided to
place the text in the top right as
that is the place where they are
the most visible.

9. Finally I chose to add a drop
shadow effect in order to make the
text stand out clearer, it also
makes the text bolder meaning
that it is more visually interesting
and being visually interesting is
important to a fashion spread.
