1. First I opened a new photoshop
document, I made sure that it
was set to international paper
and that the size was a4. This
was in order to make it the
correct format for printing. This
also ensures that my fashion
spread is conventional.

2. I then inserted the image into
Photoshop and then readjusted it
so it would fit into the rule of
thirds, I also did this in order to
make sure that the plants that
surround this location are visible in
the picture, so the outdoor theme
can be represented more clearly.

3. Next I adjusted the colour
balance in order to make sure
that the model’s clothes stand
out more, by doing this it draws
more attention to them, this is
conventional of a fashion
spread.

4. Next I adjusted the vibrance
levels in order to make the
image more visually interesting
and also to make the
background stand out more,
doing this also makes the image
more eye catching and attention
grabbing which is important in
making a member of your target
audience pay attention to the
fashion spread.

5. Next I adjusted the brightness and
contrast levels in order to make the
clothes stand out more and overall
make the image more interesting to
look at. I also inserted my title, which I
decided to have the colour be black
as it is bold and stands out well on the
background.

6. I then added in the title to my fashion
spreads, I decided to place it at the top
of the page in order to make sure that it
doesn’t distract from the background or
the model’s clothes. I chose to use the
font I did as it is slightly eroded so it fits
in with the theme of nature.

7. Next I added in information about the
image, who took it and who the model
is. This is conventional of a fashion
spread therefore it is important that I
added it in.

8. I then added in a small sentence
describing the fashion spreads,
providing some incentive for the reader
to continue reading and look at the
other fashion spreads.

9. Finally I added in the information about
the clothing including how much it costs
and where each item can be bought
from. I placed this information in the
bottom right corner in order to not
distract from the image. I also shrank
the information about the photo for the
same reason as well as placing it in the
top right corner.
