  • 1. Design a board game based upon the novel, its themes, events and ideas. Create a propaganda poster to show how others can be persuaded that the camp is not what it really is. Create a 5 to 10 question quiz based upon the events, themes and ideas from the novel. Create a newspaper or web paper front page about the events in the camp. The story is told through the eyes of Bruno. Imagine you are Shmuel and retell a scene from his point of view. Create a rap or song based upon the events, themes and ideas from the novel. Try writing it from a character’s point of view. Create a TV debate between Bruno’s father and Grandmother arguing their points of view. Some critics argue that Bruno's innocence comes to stand for the wilful refusal of all adult Germans to see what was going on under their noses.“ Explain your reasons for agreeing or disagreeing with this. Make arguments for the 3 most important themes in the novel. Support your answers as to why they are the most important. Explain why you think Bruno’s father decided to accept the job as Commandant at Auschwitz. What might have been reasons for or against him taking the job? Imagine that you are Bruno or Gretel and you are keeping adiary. Write a diary entry, focusing on your character’s thoughts and feelings.
