Evaluation Task 5
I have found that the tribe that would most like our
   thriller would be the ‘Leading Edge Tribe’. This is
because they have a massive influence on the popular
culture, and would appreciate the type of ‘art house’
   movie that my thriller is. In order to attract these
   people, we had to involve ‘arty’ shots to make it
                        appeal.
We took a lot of time working on our art shots after we
had finished filming the actual sequence, and we used
one of our favourite shots for the title shot at the end
                    of the sequence.




   By using shots like these it helps our film to enter
                  the art house style.
Our primary audience reflects the ages of people under
     18. I think that people around this age would
appreciate the plot, as our thriller contains elements of
 horror, and children like to watch a scary movie when
with their friends. Our simplistic set could demonstrate
    an element of horror as it seems quite creepy.
Also, the fact that our actors are teenagers could
 create a link to the children watching as they are of a
similar age. This could also lead to discussion between
 children, about whether it is based on a true story or
         not (which it is) and if it could happen.
We tried to make our plot quite basic, so that a variety
of ages could understand, but I think that different ages
would pick up different points and have different views
about it as a whole. For example, our primary audience
 would understand the basic plot of draining people of
 blood whereas our secondary audience – people aged
30-44, would create links with similar films, and discuss
     the fact that it’s based on a true story, and ask
 questions about the reality of it all – They would delve
                  deeper into the story.
Having a middle aged generation as our secondary
audience means that they will appreciate the way
    that it has an art house feel more than the
 younger generation will, so most of our art shots
are mainly aimed at our secondary audience, and
       are used to attract them to our film.
