2. Summary
• My story will take place at home and at
school. It will involve a teenage boy that does
not get enough sleep because he is so
overloaded with homework he has to use the
time he should be sleeping to relax this leads
to his grades dropping and him sleeping in
class and missing important information.

• In the first shot I intend to have a dark room
with someone sitting at a desk doing
homework. The shot type I will use will be mid
shot because it only shows what it needs to.
The character will be wearing a scruffy
uniform and messy hair. At the bottom of the
image it will say 2am and tom is still working.
This appeals to the target audience because
many teenagers have had to stay up late doing
homework.

• In the second shot I intend to have tom lying
in bed asleep with one leg over the covers still
in his uniform the shot type I will use will be a
wide shot to show the whole body. At the
bottom of the image it will say tom is finally
asleep at 4am. This appeals to teenagers
because sometimes you are so tired you can’t
be bothered to get into pajamas and fall
asleep wearing clothes.

• In this shot he will have just woken up and he
will be rubbing his eye standing next to his
bed. In this shot I will be using a wide shot to
show the bed as well as him to imply that he
has just got out of bed. At the bottom of the
photo it will say tom has just got up at 7am to
go to school. This appeals to teenagers
because students have to wake up early to go
to school and are tired in the mornings.

• In this shot I will have tom with his face on the
desk asleep in school. For this shot I will use a
medium close up to make you focus on him
and not on his surroundings. At the bottom of
the image it will say tom is asleep in school
missing vital information. This appeals to
teenagers because most students have fallen
asleep during school and they have missed
important information.

• In this shot there will be a piece of paper with
writing on it and in the corner of the paper it will
have the letter F written in thick red pen circled.
For this shot I will use and extreme close up to
focus the attention to the grade. At the bottom of
the paper it will say tom’s grades have dropped
because he has not been learning anything in
school. This appeals to teenagers because a few
people that don’t pay attention will know that
tests are hard when you don’t the answers.
