Half Term Five Focus: Revision Strategies
Key Idea: Revision Foldables
Revision foldables can be used as a revision exercise in the lead up to an exam, or as a
summary exercise at the end of a unit of work. the key information is hidden, allowing
students to test each other and/or themselves.
Ways you can do this in your classroom:
Students could complete these in class so they have a bank of resources to use as starters, or
they could be created with a different revision focus each week / at the end of a unit.
1. Key words on the outside with definitions inside
2. A diagram on the front with labels / information underneath
3. Foldables could be layered so that the information underneath becomes more
challenging
4. The foldable could contain tasks for students to complete if they get the question
right/wrong
See the following slide for further examples.
