in which my expert opinion was requested was whether there were any dentist that were submitting
sequential claims? In order to properly analyze this data set I needed to use a pivot table. After setting
up the pivot table as follows: dates as rows, dentist as columns, and having the claim date in the value
section. By setting my pivot table up in this fashion I was able to see how many claims were made by
the dentist each day. Afterwards, I hid the dentist that had fewer than 10 claims. With the remaining

Comparing Sucker And The Follower
The way a person acts could change another s life forever, for better or for worse, whenever it might
persist as verbal or physical. The short stories The Follower by Jack Gantos and Sucker by Carson
McCullers both illustrate events in which one s actions had negative lasting effects on another. This
essay will examine the poor actions by characters in the text and the effects those actions triggered.
The Follower by Jack Gantos features three main characters. Jack, a tween who meets two brothers
who lives next door, Scary Gary and Frankie. Depicted as a teenager, Jack also portrays Scary Gary as
a crazy type of person. He doesn t enjoy dangerous situations, he enjoys others experiencing them.
Scary Gary takes pleasure in seeing others getting put through pain. Frankie, Scary Gary s test dummy
before Jack came along, always complied to Scary Gary s commands, even if it s as extreme as
catapulting himself to the neighbor s yard. When Jack meets the two, he becomes fascinated by them
and their antics, even though they re a poor influence. He aspires to hang out with them, even though
he has to go through the same harming ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scary Gary in The Follower used his influence to make the boys his patsies and make them go through
many precipices. Maybelle caused a chain reaction by mistreatreating Peterr, which caused Peter to
mistreat Sucker. Sucker being at the short end of the stick, changed his whole personality in a reaction.
Even though one might not believe it, these scenarios are entirely plausible in real life. In fact, this
happens every day. Even though the stories showed mostly actions having a faulty effect, situations on
the other side of the spectrum was shown as well. When Maybelle was friendly towards Peter, Peter
became friendly with Sucker. In conclusion, use actions for the better cause, it ll have an amazing

Toni Cade Bambara The Lesson Summary
Toni Cade Bambara is an African American Writer and activist. She is most known for sharing in her
writings the experiences and ways of life in African American communities. She devoted a lot of her
time to help improve social change for African Americans. She won The American Book Award,
recognizing the hard work she put in creating her stories.
In her short story, The Lesson, Bambara uses many building blocks of fiction. In this journal entry, I
am going to talk about a few symbols throughout the story. I will show how Bambara used this
building block to develop a powerful short story.
First, Bambara uses the title as a symbol. The title The Lesson to show what the short story was all
about. It was about an older woman named miss Moore, teaching a lesson about money and ... Show

In the beginning of the story before the kids leave with miss moore, they met her by the mailbox,
which means that miss moore had a message for them since a mailbox is where we send letters.
Throughout the story miss moore used money to teach the kids a valuable lesson. The mailbox is also
where we receive messages from others. In the end of the story they line up back in front of the
mailbox, where miss moore asked what they thought about the F.A.O Schwarz. The ending shows that
a message was received from miss moore to the kids because sugar started asking questions about
money and equalities.
In this journal entry, I ve talked about Toni Cade Bambara, An African American writer and activist, I
also wrote about the one of the main building blocks of fiction, which is symbol, in the short story The
Lesson . This important building block of fiction is what makes this short story a classic and
unforgettable. This story teaches a valuable lesson about the way the world was and still is today. It
gives a sense that we could all be equal but some have to work harder than others. It doesn t matter

Female Phenotypes
There are many cases of natural gender transformation in human populations that have been reported,
particularly in the Caribbean islands of North America, however the National Institutes of Health
(NIH) have reported some cases in Turkey, Egypt and Papua New Guinea. Some males with female
phenotypes at birth begin to develop physical male characteristics when they hit adolescence. This is
commonly known as Guevedoces, which is translated to mean penis at age twelve, or machihembras
meaning first a woman, then a man (1). These individuals are born with an XY genotype with both of
their sex chromosomes intact. It is the Y chromosome that releases testosterone up to eight weeks into
development to identify the sex of the fetus. The release ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Testosterone signals to developing germ cells and then can be translated directly to changes in gene
expression, known as the traditional pathway. Another way is testosterone can activate kinases to
maintain spermatogenesis which is known as the nontraditional pathway. In the absence of
testosterone, spermatogenesis does not proceed beyond the meiosis stage. The traditional testosterone
signaling pathway starts off with the testosterone diffusing through the plasma membrane to bind with
the androgen receptors (AR). The receptor then undergoes an alteration in conformation which
activates receptor proteins in the cytosol. AR is then able to translocate to the nucleus where it binds to
androgen response elements. It is after this that the androgen response elements and the receptors can
alter the expression of genes to change cellular function. The non classical kinase activation pathway
is when testosterone interacts with the androgen receptor then activate Proto oncogene tyrosine protein
kinase, Src, which is a non receptor tyrosine kinase protein (3). This activation of Src causes the
activation of the EGF receptor via intracellular pathway. The EGF receptor then activated the MAP
kinase cascade through Ras resulting in activation of RAF and MEK then later ERK (3). Once these
are activated, they turn on the genes that control male sex characteristics These steps are critical to
maintain spermatogenesis and male

Public Heritage Assets
Accounting for public heritage facilities assets or liabilities of the government? The Authors Allan D.

University, Canberra, Australia Acknowledgements The author wishes to thank three anonymous
referees for their constructive comments on earlier drafts of the paper. Abstract Public heritage

standards in Australia to be valued and included in government general purpose financial statements

SAC4 definition of assets and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The nature and functions of public heritage facilities as part of Australia s National Estate are first
explained. Next, because of their nature and functions, it is shown why public heritage facilities are
public goods. The economic theory of public goods is used to justify why some goods should be
provided by governments and funded from taxation and others on a commercial basis by business
firms. The theory is based on the existence of certain types of externalities in markets. Whether public
heritage facilities are assets or liabilities and a part of the government s financial position is assessed
against the SAC4 (1992) concepts of assets and liabilities. It is shown that they do not satisfy the
concepts because of their public goods nature. The proposal is then advanced that public heritage
facilities should be regarded as assets of the nation which are managed by government as a trustee for
the benefit of society; and that, as trust assets, they should be accounted for separately from
administrative assets of government. Finally, the types of information required for their good
management is explained and it is shown that full accrual accounting information designed for
commercial firms is not appropriate for the management of public heritage facilities. II. Nature of

1 Houghton Street, Hudson MA
General
The site is located at the northwestern side of the intersection between Houghton Street and South
Street. The project site is shown in Figure One, Locus Map: 1 Houghton Street, Hudson MA.
The project site is labelled as Assessors Sheet 29, Lot 218 and is a historic mill complex. Therefore,
certain activities are exempted from requirements stated in 310 CMR 10.58(1) through (5), but Best
Management Practices (BMP) will still be applied.
The site area is currently vacant and is approximately 14,757 SF. The lot is bordered to the west by the
Danforth Brook, with Houghton Street to the east, South Street to the South, and a one story
commercial structure to the north. There is a footbridge southwesterly of the site which connects to a
parking lot. The site is flat with an elevation change of 1 foot from the northern property line to south
street.
The Danforth Brook is a perennial stream, with a running water depth of roughly one foot. The bottom
of the stream is covered with plants and various pieces of rubble. It is confined by stone walls, both of
which are over 100 years old. The riverfront is degraded because, parts of the stone wall are covered
by overgrowth and a tree has grown in the riverbed in an area adjacent to the footbridge. The wall is in
various states of disrepair with pieces of it lying in the riverbed.
Additionally, a small area of Bordering Land Subject to Flooding (BLSF), extends onto the western
portion of the property. Based on the FEMA Flood Insurance Study for Middlesex County from July
6, 2016, the elevation of the floodplain was determined to be at 204.2 feet. The flood zone area is
having been calculated to be approximately 4,588 SF. The actual area of the flood zone could vary
slightly because the site is flat and could have various undulations not considered in the survey.
Description of Existing Conditions
Prior to its demolition in 1999 the building housed a three story shoe factory. After its demolition it
was used as a drive through ATM until 2002, when the ATM was removed. Currently the lot is vacant
with low lying plant growth and random debris. The stone wall requires repair at

Virgilian Motifs in Shakespeare s The Tempest
Shakespeare s comedy, The Tempest, introduces a love story between Miranda, the daughter of the
former duke of Milan, and Ferdinand, the son of the king of Naples. While Miranda and Ferdinand s
love story resembles the pattern of Dido and Aeneas s love story in Virgil s epic poem The Aeneid,
Shakespeare s modification of the old material in the new context alters the tragedy into a happily ever
after, giving the readers an opportunity to reassess the characters through the new context.
The Tempest sets its background location on an island, where Miranda and her father Prospero have
lived for twelve years prior to when the story takes place. Prospero uses to ... Show more content on

In their first sight, both male protagonists recognize both female protagonists as beautiful goddesses.
When Aeneas meets Dido, he praises that [her] features [are] hardly a mortal s looks / and the tone of
[her] voice is hardly human either (Aen. 1. 395 403; Fagles, p. 58). He says that she is undoubtably a
goddess (Aen. 1. 395 403; Fagles, p. 58). Similar scene is found in The Tempest, where Ferdinand
calls Miranda the goddess / On whom these airs attend (Tempest 1. 2. 422; Orgel, p. 124). These two
scenes form a set of parallel between the old story and the new context, and they clearly indicate that
both male protagonists fall in love with both female protagonists when they first meet each other. In
both stories, the storm causes shipwreck and leads the male protagonist to the female protagonist. In
The Tempest, the storm brings Ferdinand to Miranda who lives on an island; similarly, in The Aeneid,
the storm brings Aeneas to Dido who lives in Carthage. Both Ferdinand s ship and Aeneas s ship are
sailing to Italy, yet the storms lead them astray from their destined

The FOA makes use of the whole forearm, for defensive and attacking purposes. Blocking straight
with the forearm using all the directions inside and outside and is in all reality, a strike. Block by
circling up and by circling in a downward motion. The greatest strength in the forearm block is the
bulky muscle (Brachioradialis) part nearest the elbow. Although blocking reflexively is accepted, it is
best to block on 35 and 45 degree angles to reduce the pressure of the blow. Using the forearm as a
strike is a great weapon; such as striking the head, the neck and the dead arm strike to the chest, also
striking the abdomen area, the back of knee to sweep and the breaking of the opponents arm. For a
strong block, one is advised to practice the five star basic blocks; not only does this show you the
direction of certain blocks but it gives you a since of feel of the pressure you will receive from the

September 5, 2015 through the services of the Jackson State University Center for Speech Language

Mrs. Kirsten Callahan. Mrs. Callahan provided the case history information. CASE HISTORY:
Tommy Callahan, a 9 year old male, was referred for a voice evaluation and therapy by Dr. Larry Nix,

Body Ritual among the Nacirema
Horace Miner in the article, Body Ritual Among the Nacirema depicts a society that is growing
naturally, but which has transformed itself into a ritual tribe. In this article, the tribe, Nacirema, is a
tribe that has transformed itself naturally and which has incorporated a lot of beliefs and religious
tendency for good living. More evident in the arguments given by Horace Miner is the fact that the
societal people of Nacirema care and have a strong attitude about their bodies. They thus do

Horace Miner writes that the Nacirema people can be described as magic ridden people. They have
very many burdens they have imposed unto themselves; for example, the excretory rituals. These are
rituals that puts one ethnic group very distinct as compared to others, and by and large, it makes them
consolidate their beliefs and activities. In the eyes of modern culture, the Nacirema culture presents a
?crazy scenario. ? However, the Nacirema people as explained in the article are not ready to abandon
or put down the ?perceived burdens. ? They are ready to continue with them. In themselves, they value
what they do as superior and something which cannot be interfered with by other cultures.
Most evident in this article and the explanations given by the author is social solidarity. The Nacirema
people as explained in the article are unique people, who practice and carry out their activities with
total disregard of what other cultures view them. For example, the excretory rituals are bound to be
viewed by others as crazy, but to them, these are cultures, which make them strong. They are magic
ridden people. The irrelevance of the magic in this community puts them apart from ?civilization ? but
to them, they have to remain in solidarity. This social solidarity is important only to the Nacirema
people, and this is because it is bound to be viewed by others as representing backwardness.

The Importance Of Technology In Psychology
The field of psychology draws inspiration from a vast array of subjects. Tactics and techniques
garnered from various disciplines widely apply throughout many areas of psychological research.
Over the past two decades, technological growth has had a strong impact on the numerous healthcare
disciplines. For instance, technology has impacted psychology in the areas of research methods and
treatment procedures. The widespread availability of computers and smartphones supercharged the
development of new technologies and treatment programs to now help aid previously unreachable
clients through therapeutic resources. Technological developments in the past few decades have
inspired psychologists to provide access to therapy on several different platforms. Telepsychology is
the term used for therapy and other psychological treatments provided through such means (Novotney,
2017). The American Psychological Association (2012) defines telepsychology as the provision of
psychological services using telecommunications technologies . These technologies include webcams,
chats, texts, emails, and the Internet ( Guidelines... , 2012). According to Novotney (2017), one reason
people use online therapy is the ease of accessibility it provides as well as the lower costs compared to
traditional therapy sessions. Many people live far from a therapist s office and were unable to attend
therapy sessions until the advent of these online counseling organizations (Novotney, 2017).

Essay On Fetal Viability
Countries, cultures and different societies around the world have different views on the question of
when life begins. Some believe that life begins the moment an egg is fertilized by a sperm (Kelly,
1995, p. 65). In Great Britain abortion is currently legal up until the end of the 24th week of gestation
(BBC Ethics, 2014). Unfortunately neither side of the debate can draw much support upon this topic
and there is no definitive answer given from medical, philosophical and religious theories and
ideologies. It is all a matter of opinion (Kelly, 1995). The topic then begs the question of fetal
viability. There have been developments that complicate some of the issues of fetal viability. Fetal
viability is known as the point at which a fetus can survive outside of the mother s womb (Nursing
Times, 2014). There have always been opposition surrounding the 24th week limit from the pro life
movement, they want the abortion time limit to be lowered. Since the ... Show more content on

Christians believe for example that a fetus is a human being that deserves the same respect and

abortion if it threatens the life of the mother. (Eggbrolen, 1990, p. 33). The Buddhist faith teaches that
human life begins with conception and abortion is going against their teachings. The law of the

Social Exchange Theory In The Best Of Me
The Best of Me definitely doesn t have a fairytale ending . In the Best of Me Dawson Cole and
Amanda Collier were high school sweethearts. Dawson came from an abusive family that dealt drugs
and Amanda came from a loving family that had the money to live very comfortably. Their
relationship wasn t easy, but not because of anything they had personally done. What would happen to
Dawson and Amanda s relationship when they reconnected after two decades? The movie seemed to
include the social exchange theory (a theory that predicts people seek relationships where the benefits
out weight the costs), social penetration theory (theory that predicts as a relationship grows,
communication increases in depth) and gendered communication (women disclose more personal info
and use more words, while men are task oriented and direct). (Burns, Di Novi, Greenspan,
Kavanaugh, Sparks and Hoffman, 2014) Dawson s life was anything but easy. His father was abusive
and was against him getting an education, his father said that he was acting like he was too good for
them. Dawson s father got abusive once again and Dawson left. Dawson ended up breaking into an

They are basically textbook examples. Amanda spoke more deeply, while Dawson didn t speak as
much and talked more about how something could be fixed. Their communication deepened as it
grew. Amanda seemed to believe that the benefits or being with Dawson outweighed the risks. If their
communication hadn t deepened, the relationship may have ended soon after starting and if Amanda
didn t believe that the benefits outweighed the risks, the relationship wouldn t have become anything
at all. The gendered communication doesn t seem like it would have had any impact on the short or
long term aspects of their relationship. (Burns, Di Novi, Greenspan, Kavanaugh, Sparks and Hoffman,

Deaf Culture Vs Deaf People
It is known that hearing people are superior to Deaf people. No one can sit and prove it, but you can
tell how a hearing person acts compared to how a deaf person acts when they walk into a room. The
hearing people are chit chatting and enjoying their time. The deaf person is looking around trying to
read lips but deep down is feeling isolated. Most Deaf people understand that they are equal to hearing
people and should not feel discriminated against. Deaf people sometimes still get treated different, but
most of the world is starting to treat them equally. They have been able to get more employment,
higher education, and higher job positions. In Bernard Bragg s book, Lessons in Laughter: The

learned about Deaf Culture is that since the Deaf community is usually small in a town, the Deaf
people usually keep up with each other. When Braggs asked about Silver, no one knew where he was
after graduation. At Gallaudet, Braggs had ended up going to the prom with Ruth. His friends joked
with him that he was going with her. Then he ended up being glad he went with her once he had a
good time at prom and she expressed how she was to be blind along with being deaf in six months.
Braggs was not always just all play; he did a load of work as well.
Jobs are more fun when people enjoy them instead of going just for the money. Braggs was a typical
man in changing his mind about what he wanted to do. In the beginning of this book, he is working so
hard on the set of a television show that he forgets his birthday was coming up. He became a teacher
after he graduated at Gallaudet. So glad that he finally graduated, he goes to rub it in his father s face
that he got an education. He ends up going to an empty theatre where Marceau was there and saw his
acting skills. Marceau then invited him to France to act with his troupe. No one in France knew about
Deaf Culture, so they did not understand his breathing and made him work on it for the play. This

Clark Accomplishments
Beginning on February 9, 1779, Clark and his men embarked for Vincennes 240 miles away through
the now flooded region. The major faced a test of morality as the company trudged through frozen dirt
and in freezing waters. In the rain, the troops sung to keep high hopes and when they were close
enough to the village, Clark had to post a riflemen at the rear to encourage the tired individuals (Davis
98). Their ambitions rose when they captured an Indian hunting canoe carrying buffalo meat, corn,
tallow, and kettles. After devouring their finds, the unit made it the final miles within eyesight of Fort
Sackville on February 23(Davis 99). The Kentuckian Major promptly entered the village and took the

The Breath Of Other People Killed Them
Throughout the eighteenth century great strides were being made in the medical field regarding the
understanding of disease, biology, and public health. With the contributions of scientists, doctors, and
researchers the overall health of the ever growing population in the eighteenth century began to
improve dramatically. By the early nineteen hundreds, life expectancy had risen to about 55 years. The
introduction and understanding of antiseptics, sterilization, and etiology and discoveries of Pasteur,
Lister, and Koch invoked a rise against disease which lead to a rise in life expectancy. All throughout
history humans have had to face disease in all of its many different forms. This forced them to develop

One of the greatest breakthroughs in medicine occurred in the late eighteenth with the discovery of
Louis Pasteur and his experiments regarding the growth of bacteria and their ability to travel from
place to place. After countless years of research and analyzation, Pasteur used his findings to develop
pasteurization (Haigh). Pasteurization is a process which involves heating certain liquids to kill
bacteria and prevent fermentation. Pasteur also developed an anthrax vaccine along with a way to
weaken the effects of the rabies virus. Using the work of Pasteur another scientist by the name of
Joseph Lister developed antisepsis, a way of killing disease causing germs. In 1865 before an
operation, Lister cleaned a leg wound with carbolic acid and performed the surgical procedure with
heated instruments, heating the instruments sterilized them (Gieson). The patient in question would
have needed an amputation if it was not for Lister sterilizing medical instruments and the surgical
field. Eventually, Lister incorporated the use of sterilization in all of his surgical procedures,
decreasing the amount of postoperative mortality. The use of antiseptics did not just reduce
postoperative mortality it also helped out in the treatment of wounds and making childbirth a less
risky process for both women and their children.

Optimization Of Water And Nano Fluid
Constructal optimization of water and nano fluid flow for micro channel heat sinks with rectangular
cross section
Abstract
In this paper, three dimensional water and Al2O3 water nano fluid flow and heat transfer is optimized
geometrically using constructal theory. A numerical code based on the finite volume method and
SIMPLER algorithm is developed to solve the governing equations. The code is carefully validated by
comparing numerical predictions with experimental data. In this study we consider aspect ratio,
number of channels in the heat sink and solid fraction factor as degrees of freedom. Given a specific
volume and axial length of the micro channel heat sinks and a fixed pressure drop, we want to find out
the best possible number of channels in the system, and geometry of each channel that maximizes the
global thermal conductance. Furthermore we investigate the effect of different pressure drops. The
results show that the geometric parameters have a strong effect on the performance of micro channel
heat sink. Comparison of the results of water and Al2O3 water nano fluid indicate that neither Re nor
pressure drop along the channel are good parameters to compare the thermal performance of nano
fluid and water.

Psychology, Theology, And Spirituality
Psychology, Theology, and Spirituality in Counseling by Mark R. McMinn is a book that discusses
two different characteristics of the Christian Counseling field: in counseling sessions and life beyond
the counseling sessions for example, the counselor s job and the counselor s life. Dr. McMinn starts
his book with a brief section written with James Wilhoit that discusses religion in the counseling
office.
This first section talks about the importance of making good use of the Christian faith in counseling
and not focusing on the relationship between psychology and theology (McMinn, 1996, p. 25). It also
states the challenges that religion brings in counseling sessions and how to handle those. In the
chapters that follow, McMinn talks about six Christian concepts in counseling.
McMinn talks about a few challenges when a counselor attempts to integrate psychology and
theology. Some of these are complications of spiritual formation, blurred professional and personal
life, training problems, worldview differences, no scientific support, and unique ethical elements in
religious counseling (McMinn, 1996, p. 46). McMinn talks about three areas that Christian counseling
makes stronger: sense of self, an awareness of human need and limitations that everyone has, and
talking about personal relationships we have with God and others.
In the third chapter, McMinn talks about prayer in counseling. Prayer is a part of life for many people.
Prayer is more than a form of counseling; it

Mitron Employee Performance Summary
There are some organizations that uses the team based pay approach to improve performance at the
organization (Balkin Montemayor, 2000). Team based bonuses may work for some business.
Consequently, I am not convinced that this approach is beneficial to Mitron. The scenario states that
technicians with multiple skills often have to fill in for those that are absent or lack the skill needed in
a team, that is needed to complete the production. That individual requires the flexibility to be rotated
to any given team, at any time. The technician at Mitron would only benefit from having the
knowledge or compensated for acquiring a skill related to the job. Furthermore, no additional
compensation would be granted for assisting in the task completion. The technician would receive
compensation as a team as do any other member of that team, that did not perform at the same rate.
Recommendations would be made to Holly for elimination of the team based bonuses at Mitron. The
scenario states that technicians receive very little incentives for attending trainings. THe scenario also

Examples Of Confucianism In The True Story Of Ah Q
The late nineteenth century to the early twentieth was an important period for China, in which a large
number of reformers and revolutionaries, in the hope of changing the old China, struggled to make
China powerful and stable. The voice of abandoning Confucianism grew stronger and stronger, which
they contended that it was Confucian that hindered the development of Chinese. Just take Lu Xun for
example. He argued that Confucianism was the man eating manners , which gave birth to those who
just cared about themselves without any conscience of protecting their family. Moreover, Lu Xun put
forward that China should learn from the Western. Another example is Hu Shi. He extremely called

The prominent character of him was self deceiving and self important, which exactly reflected the
farmer s ideas at that time. He was not only the symbol of the poor proletarian but also a farmer
suppressed by authority. In addition, he did not have a name at all, and the only name he got was
deprived by Mr. Zhao.
The method that Ah Q most often used was spirit victory. That was kind of expression of self
deceiving. For example, when he was beaten, he comforted himself by using Son hit his father .
Moreover, while other people teased him that he was poor, he argued that my ancestors were richer
than yours. His characters, in essence, were devoid of self awareness. He judged people with his own
standard, where anything that not conform to his standard would be wrong.
From this novel, Lu Xun seriously criticized the social reality at that time when people were self
deceiving, who always took themselves as the center of the world. The attitude of Lu Xun toward
farmers was that on the one hand, he felt sympathetic to them. On the other hand, he hated that they
did not fight for themselves. With his sharp pen, he analyzed the reason why the farmers always lag
behind others, while showing sympathy to them. Meanwhile, he tempted to use his novel to warn
Chinese reformers, although May Fourth movement awakened a part of Chinese people like students,
most Chinese peasants were still ignorant and

second day involved a plate being screwed into the skulls of the 11 kittens and they were placed in a
prone position with clamps on their backs and above the pelvis. The third day involved incisions being
made to insert electrodes into the nerves around the spine and rib cage, exposing a large portion of
their spinal cord. Finally, part of the skull was removed so an electrode could be inserted to measure
brain activity. All of these cats were given anesthesia, and more than half were given a fatal overdose.

To demonstrate effective communicational skills one must use one to one interaction for example to

The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse, the first game in the series, was released for the Super
Nintendo Entertainment System during 1992 and 1993 and later re released for the Game Boy
Advance in 2002. In six different levels and with four different special power outfits it features
Mickey Mouse on his journey to find his dog Pluto.[7] The game, and especially its outfit system and
graphics, received mostly positive reviews. It was criticized, however, for being relatively short. A
port for Sega Mega Drive was originally planned, but was abandoned.[8]
Story
Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck are playing catch in the park. When it is Goofy s turn
to throw the ball, he accidentally throws it too far. Pluto runs off chasing the ball and Goofy runs after
Pluto, leaving Mickey alone.[9] Mickey goes searching for his friends after a while, but falls down a

Types Of Relationships Between Parents And Adolescents
Types of relationships. There are different types of relationships between adults and adolescents and
they all have different dynamics. Miller Day discussed four different types of relationships between
parents and adolescents. Although they were discussed as parent adolescent relationships, these types
of relationships can also exist between school counselors and adolescent students. Miller Day
described laissez faire, consensual, pluralistic, and protective relationships. These types of
relationships all differ in their combination of conversation orientation and conformity orientation.
Laissez faire relationships have low conversation and low conformity, consensual relationships have
high conversation and high conformity, pluralistic relationships have high conversation and low
conformity, and protective conversations have low conversation and high conformity (2008).
Awareness of the different types of relationships is important because it determines how an adolescent
receives a message from an adult. Conversation orientation refers to the amount of discussion on a
subject and the amount of individual input. Conformity orientation refers to the amount of conformity

Why Did Texas Fight In The Civil War
Friend versus friend, brother against brother. The Civil War was an extremely bloody war that tore
families apart. In the year 1861, Texas, an American slave state, seceded from the Union, joining the
Confederate states of America. Prior to the state s secession, Abraham Lincoln was elected president;
he was an abolitionist, so tensions rose throughout the nation and that resulted in southern secession.
Shortly after that, tensions snapped and the Civil War began. The question is, why did the people of
Texas fight in the Civil War? Texans fought in the Civil War because they were pro slavery, supported
State s Rights, and were loyal to Texas. One of the main reasons Texans fought in the Civil War was
the issue of slavery. According to the

Dark Souls 3 Research Paper
If you enjoy a challenge and have the patience of a saint, then Dark Souls 3 is the game for you. The
Dark Souls series is an action role playing game that is infamous about its difficulty. The past games
are known for its sharp learning curve and unforgiving mechanics; Dark Souls 3 is no exception. But
don t let that discourage you, or the well known community war cry GIT GUD or Get Good that
seems to draw many people away from the series, I know it did for me. But I decided to throw caution
into the sprays of my own blood and despair and pick it up, and after a few hours of playing I would
have to say that Dar Souls 3 is a difficult game, but not as impossible as many would have you
believe.
In Dark Souls 3 you need patience. It s not a hack and slash game where you just run up and smash
one button. The game focuses on defense, and learning how to use your black and roll is key to
victory, not to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These classes dictate what your stats, level, and gear you start out with. These classes are what you
would expect from a fantasy based game. From the Knight, Cleric, to Sorcerer, yes there is magic as
well. It s not just sword and board or swinging a zweihander. You can focus on spell casting for
combat, but I m not going to get into the specifics.
Now, I m not an expert on the game, but if you re new to the series and want to give it a try I suggest
starting out as a Knight. The Knight starts out if really good armor, sword, and shield. From what
many other experienced players have said, most of that armor is good through a good chunk of the
game, so you won t be needed to worry about upgrading. If you go the Knight route prioritize your
Vigor and Strength while increasing your Endurance and Stamina as you need it. If you want to wear
more heavy duty armor put points into Vitality as needed.
If you ve been playing the game, post what builds like to roll with, or your favorite starting

The Monk In The Canterbury Tales
A traditionally monk is, typically, a skinny old man who is wise or a young, fit man who is stilling
learning. They are, usually, kind people who prefer peacefully resolutions to problems, also they do
not indulge themselves with worldly desires they only use what they need to survive and nothing
more. They are people that are strong of mind and body and like to help those in need even if they do
not have much to give themselves. They are scholarly people who give up everything to pursue higher
state of mind, soul, and body. They do not hunt animals as a sport they are, mostly, vegetarians and
those who do eat meat will hunt enough to feed themselves and not a single animal more. That is what
a monk, in the eyes and minds of others, is in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are colors in his attire that show the sins that he allowed to take him from the path of a true
monk. There are two colors that describe him completely. The colors are yellow and blue these three
colors represent the emotions greed and lust. The first emotion, greed, is shown and represented by
how much gold he wears and he dressed in expensive clothes instead of the normal, plain clothes that
monks usually wear. Greed is an emotion that monks left go when they a join a monastery. They do
this because when they become they must let go of their greed because monks are people that give to
others to make their lives easier while not caring for their own needs and wants. The Monk has not let
go of his greed which brings of the question of why he cannot let go of it. Is he that consumed by his
own wants and needs that he does not help feel the others or is because he is scared that he gives too
much and in up in the situation as them. The next sin that the Monk displays is lust. He displays it in
three different ways in lust for women, hunting, and riding. Hunting and riding are act lust because
lust is not just the yearning of sex with a woman (or a man) it is when a person loses self control and
acts on desires that are supposed to be acted upon. His lust for women that is be allowed because a
monk must remain celibate and must think of the lord. They do not hunt or ride because they mostly

Nat Turner Essay
Enslave Me Not
Throughout the colonial period and the time leading up to the American civil war, one of the most
important and controversial topics facing Americans was the idea of slavery. The notion of slavery is
an odd and incredibly horrifying concept, that one man can own another man, or two men, or an entire
family, just because of the color of their skin. No doubt the idea was racist and repulsive, but to many
Men and Women in history, across the country and across the world, slavery was just a part of
everyday life: they knew no different. So when those people who were being stripped from their
homeland and brought over on ships to be sold at auction to the highest white bidder, began to
question the sacredness of this terrible ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Telling the story behind the scenes of how the insertion developed, and how the slaves could think for
themselves and design the plan without the help of outside forces, an idea that many whites refused to
believe in the time following the rebellion. Though Nat was finally captured, and in turn tried, then
executed, the battle that he won was much greater than his own life.
Nat is without a doubt a freedom fighter and although his fight ended in blood, it was necessary at the
time to help to end the continuance of such a cruel and inhuman practice. Slavery in itself was much
more horrifying than every white death that ensued following the rebellion combined. Oates s
assertion that Turner s rebellion was the first war against slavery is incredibly accurate, except in one
sense, one does not need to be African American to agree with this claim. Though an African
American could view slavery as a much more personal subject, because it affected and enslaved many
of their own ancestors, one does not need to be black to understand how terrible slavery actually is.
Any single person who can assess slavery with an open mind and completely unbiased will see that
the suggestion that one person can own another person solely because of the color of one s skin is
completely inhumane, and it s absolutely no surprise that those who were being enslaved decided to
react. Nat did in fact commit a crime, he started a

The four dentist with PO Boxes are Dentist 253093, 530853,657378, 730751, 338127. 7. The second question in which my expert opinion was requested was whether there were any dentist that were submitting sequential claims? In order to properly analyze this data set I needed to use a pivot table. After setting up the pivot table as follows: dates as rows, dentist as columns, and having the claim date in the value section. By setting my pivot table up in this fashion I was able to see how many claims were made by the dentist each day. Afterwards, I hid the dentist that had fewer than 10 claims. The short stories The Follower by Jack Gantos and Sucker by Carson McCullers both illustrate events in which one s actions had negative lasting effects on another. This essay will examine the poor actions by characters in the text and the effects those actions triggered. The Follower by Jack Gantos features three main characters. Jack, a tween who meets two brothers who lives next door, Scary Gary and Frankie. Depicted as a teenager, Jack also portrays Scary Gary as a crazy type of person. He doesn t enjoy dangerous situations, he enjoys others experiencing them. Scary Gary takes pleasure in seeing others getting put through pain. Frankie, Scary Gary s test dummy before Jack came along, always complied to Scary Gary s commands, even if it s as extreme as catapulting himself to the neighbor s yard. When Jack meets the two, he becomes fascinated by them and their antics, even though they re a poor influence. He aspires to hang out with them, even though he has to go through the same harming ... She is most known for sharing in her writings the experiences and ways of life in African American communities. She devoted a lot of her time to help improve social change for African Americans. She won The American Book Award, recognizing the hard work she put in creating her stories. In her short story, The Lesson, Bambara uses many building blocks of fiction. In this journal entry, I am going to talk about a few symbols throughout the story. I will show how Bambara used this building block to develop a powerful short story. First, Bambara uses the title as a symbol. The title The Lesson to show what the short story was all about. It was about an older woman named miss Moore, teaching a lesson about money and ... Female Phenotypes There are many cases of natural gender transformation in human populations that have been reported, particularly in the Caribbean islands of North America, however the National Institutes of Health (NIH) have reported some cases in Turkey, Egypt and Papua New Guinea. Some males with female phenotypes at birth begin to develop physical male characteristics when they hit adolescence. This is commonly known as Guevedoces, which is translated to mean penis at age twelve, or machihembras meaning first a woman, then a man (1). Testosterone signals to developing germ cells and then can be translated directly to changes in gene expression, known as the traditional pathway. Another way is testosterone can activate kinases to maintain spermatogenesis which is known as the nontraditional pathway. In the absence of testosterone, spermatogenesis does not proceed beyond the meiosis stage. The traditional testosterone signaling pathway starts off with the testosterone diffusing through the plasma membrane to bind with the androgen receptors (AR). The receptor then undergoes an alteration in conformation which activates receptor proteins in the cytosol. AR is then able to translocate to the nucleus where it binds to androgen response elements. It is after this that the androgen response elements and the receptors can alter the expression of genes to change cellular function. The non classical kinase activation pathway is when testosterone interacts with the androgen receptor then activate Proto oncogene tyrosine protein kinase, Src, which is a non receptor tyrosine kinase protein (3). This activation of Src causes the activation of the EGF receptor via intracellular pathway. The EGF receptor then activated the MAP kinase cascade through Ras resulting in activation of RAF and MEK then later ERK (3). Once these are activated, they turn on the genes that control male sex characteristics These steps are critical to maintain spermatogenesis and male ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The nature and functions of public heritage facilities as part of Australia s National Estate are first explained. Next, because of their nature and functions, it is shown why public heritage facilities are public goods. The economic theory of public goods is used to justify why some goods should be provided by governments and funded from taxation and others on a commercial basis by business firms. The theory is based on the existence of certain types of externalities in markets. Whether public heritage facilities are assets or liabilities and a part of the government s financial position is assessed against the SAC4 (1992) concepts of assets and liabilities. It is shown that they do not satisfy the concepts because of their public goods nature. The proposal is then advanced that public heritage facilities should be regarded as assets of the nation which are managed by government as a trustee for the benefit of society; and that, as trust assets, they should be accounted for separately from administrative assets of government. Finally, the types of information required for their good management is explained and it is shown that full accrual accounting information designed for commercial firms is not appropriate for the management of public heritage facilities. While Miranda and Ferdinand s love story resembles the pattern of Dido and Aeneas s love story in Virgil s epic poem The Aeneid, Shakespeare s modification of the old material in the new context alters the tragedy into a happily ever after, giving the readers an opportunity to reassess the characters through the new context. • 20. Essay On Fetal Viability Countries, cultures and different societies around the world have different views on the question of when life begins. Some believe that life begins the moment an egg is fertilized by a sperm (Kelly, 1995, p. 65). In Great Britain abortion is currently legal up until the end of the 24th week of gestation (BBC Ethics, 2014). Unfortunately neither side of the debate can draw much support upon this topic and there is no definitive answer given from medical, philosophical and religious theories and ideologies. Dawson came from an abusive family that dealt drugs and Amanda came from a loving family that had the money to live very comfortably. Their relationship wasn t easy, but not because of anything they had personally done. What would happen to Dawson and Amanda s relationship when they reconnected after two decades? The movie seemed to include the social exchange theory (a theory that predicts people seek relationships where the benefits out weight the costs), social penetration theory (theory that predicts as a relationship grows, communication increases in depth) and gendered communication (women disclose more personal info and use more words, while men are task oriented and direct). One of the greatest breakthroughs in medicine occurred in the late eighteenth with the discovery of Louis Pasteur and his experiments regarding the growth of bacteria and their ability to travel from place to place. After countless years of research and analyzation, Pasteur used his findings to develop pasteurization (Haigh). Pasteurization is a process which involves heating certain liquids to kill bacteria and prevent fermentation. Pasteur also developed an anthrax vaccine along with a way to weaken the effects of the rabies virus. Using the work of Pasteur another scientist by the name of Joseph Lister developed antisepsis, a way of killing disease causing germs. In 1865 before an operation, Lister cleaned a leg wound with carbolic acid and performed the surgical procedure with heated instruments, heating the instruments sterilized them (Gieson). The patient in question would have needed an amputation if it was not for Lister sterilizing medical instruments and the surgical field. Eventually, Lister incorporated the use of sterilization in all of his surgical procedures, decreasing the amount of postoperative mortality. • 28. Optimization Of Water And Nano Fluid Constructal optimization of water and nano fluid flow for micro channel heat sinks with rectangular cross section Abstract In this paper, three dimensional water and Al2O3 water nano fluid flow and heat transfer is optimized geometrically using constructal theory. A numerical code based on the finite volume method and SIMPLER algorithm is developed to solve the governing equations. The code is carefully validated by comparing numerical predictions with experimental data. In this study we consider aspect ratio, number of channels in the heat sink and solid fraction factor as degrees of freedom. Given a specific volume and axial length of the micro channel heat sinks and a fixed pressure drop, we want to find out the best possible number of channels in the system, and geometry of each channel that maximizes the global thermal conductance. Furthermore we investigate the effect of different pressure drops. The results show that the geometric parameters have a strong effect on the performance of micro channel heat sink. Comparison of the results of water and Al2O3 water nano fluid indicate that neither Re nor pressure drop along the channel are good parameters to compare the thermal performance of nano fluid and water. • 29. Psychology, Theology, And Spirituality Psychology, Theology, and Spirituality in Counseling by Mark R. McMinn is a book that discusses two different characteristics of the Christian Counseling field: in counseling sessions and life beyond the counseling sessions for example, the counselor s job and the counselor s life. Dr. McMinn starts his book with a brief section written with James Wilhoit that discusses religion in the counseling office. This first section talks about the importance of making good use of the Christian faith in counseling and not focusing on the relationship between psychology and theology (McMinn, 1996, p. 25). It also states the challenges that religion brings in counseling sessions and how to handle those. In the chapters that follow, McMinn talks about six Christian concepts in counseling. McMinn talks about a few challenges when a counselor attempts to integrate psychology and theology. Some of these are complications of spiritual formation, blurred professional and personal life, training problems, worldview differences, no scientific support, and unique ethical elements in religious counseling (McMinn, 1996, p. 46). McMinn talks about three areas that Christian counseling makes stronger: sense of self, an awareness of human need and limitations that everyone has, and talking about personal relationships we have with God and others. In the third chapter, McMinn talks about prayer in counseling. Prayer is a part of life for many people. Prayer is more than a form of counseling; it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From this novel, Lu Xun seriously criticized the social reality at that time when people were self deceiving, who always took themselves as the center of the world. The attitude of Lu Xun toward farmers was that on the one hand, he felt sympathetic to them. On the other hand, he hated that they did not fight for themselves. Miller Day discussed four different types of relationships between parents and adolescents. Although they were discussed as parent adolescent relationships, these types of relationships can also exist between school counselors and adolescent students. Miller Day described laissez faire, consensual, pluralistic, and protective relationships. These types of relationships all differ in their combination of conversation orientation and conformity orientation. Laissez faire relationships have low conversation and low conformity, consensual relationships have high conversation and high conformity, pluralistic relationships have high conversation and low conformity, and protective conversations have low conversation and high conformity (2008). Awareness of the different types of relationships is important because it determines how an adolescent receives a message from an adult. The Dark Souls series is an action role playing game that is infamous about its difficulty. The past games are known for its sharp learning curve and unforgiving mechanics; Dark Souls 3 is no exception. But don t let that discourage you, or the well known community war cry GIT GUD or Get Good that seems to draw many people away from the series, I know it did for me. But I decided to throw caution into the sprays of my own blood and despair and pick it up, and after a few hours of playing I would have to say that Dar Souls 3 is a difficult game, but not as impossible as many would have you believe. In Dark Souls 3 you need patience. It s not a hack and slash game where you just run up and smash one button. The game focuses on defense, and learning how to use your black and roll is key to victory, not to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now, I m not an expert on the game, but if you re new to the series and want to give it a try I suggest starting out as a Knight. The Knight starts out if really good armor, sword, and shield. From what many other experienced players have said, most of that armor is good through a good chunk of the game, so you won t be needed to worry about upgrading. If you go the Knight route prioritize your Vigor and Strength while increasing your Endurance and Stamina as you need it. If you want to wear more heavy duty armor put points into Vitality as needed. They are scholarly people who give up everything to pursue higher state of mind, soul, and body. There are colors in his attire that show the sins that he allowed to take him from the path of a true monk. There are two colors that describe him completely. The colors are yellow and blue these three colors represent the emotions greed and lust. The first emotion, greed, is shown and represented by how much gold he wears and he dressed in expensive clothes instead of the normal, plain clothes that monks usually wear. Greed is an emotion that monks left go when they a join a monastery. They do this because when they become they must let go of their greed because monks are people that give to others to make their lives easier while not caring for their own needs and wants. The Monk has not let go of his greed which brings of the question of why he cannot let go of it. Is he that consumed by his own wants and needs that he does not help feel the others or is because he is scared that he gives too much and in up in the situation as them. The next sin that the Monk displays is lust. He displays it in three different ways in lust for women, hunting, and riding. Hunting and riding are act lust because lust is not just the yearning of sex with a woman (or a man) it is when a person loses self control and acts on desires that are supposed to be acted upon. • 44. Nat Turner Essay Enslave Me Not Throughout the colonial period and the time leading up to the American civil war, one of the most important and controversial topics facing Americans was the idea of slavery. The notion of slavery is an odd and incredibly horrifying concept, that one man can own another man, or two men, or an entire family, just because of the color of their skin. No doubt the idea was racist and repulsive, but to many Men and Women in history, across the country and across the world, slavery was just a part of everyday life: they knew no different. So when those people who were being stripped from their homeland and brought over on ships to be sold at auction to the highest white bidder, began to question the sacredness of this terrible ... Telling the story behind the scenes of how the insertion developed, and how the slaves could think for themselves and design the plan without the help of outside forces, an idea that many whites refused to believe in the time following the rebellion. Though Nat was finally captured, and in turn tried, then executed, the battle that he won was much greater than his own life. Nat is without a doubt a freedom fighter and although his fight ended in blood, it was necessary at the time to help to end the continuance of such a cruel and inhuman practice. Slavery in itself was much more horrifying than every white death that ensued following the rebellion combined. Oates s assertion that Turner s rebellion was the first war against slavery is incredibly accurate, except in one sense, one does not need to be African American to agree with this claim. Though an African American could view slavery as a much more personal subject, because it affected and enslaved many of their own ancestors, one does not need to be black to understand how terrible slavery actually is. Any single person who can assess slavery with an open mind and completely unbiased will see that the suggestion that one person can own another person solely because of the color of one s skin is completely inhumane, and it s absolutely no surprise that those who were being enslaved decided to react. Nat did in fact commit a crime, he started a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
