It seemed at the start of the show they sang songs that where at the start of their
music careers and progressed through their career. They sang each song as a duet
no matter if it was a Tim or Faith song. My favorite song of the night was Tim s

The first landmark in my mind, is the house I grew up and was raised in, I lived
there till I was eight years old. I attended a school fifteen minutes from my house
for kindergarten through 2nd grade, until we have moved. Then came the second

Racial Discrimination
Race today is crucial because there is still prejudices against black communities or
people of color. One major issue that is caused through racial discrimination is police
brutality. There have been racial profiling reports that have resulted to and created
problems such as looting, civil lawsuits that are taken to court, and excessive media
attention. In many of these cases, the victims are African American. Most reports on
the news detail a story about an African American who has been a victim of police
brutality. In many of these cases, policeofficers claim that the victims posed a threat
or were a danger to their own well being.
Moreover, one example that led to looting was the Rodney Glen King case which
was about an American taxi driver who became nationally known after being
beaten by Los Angeles Police Department officers following a high speed car chase
on March 3, 1991. The police attempted to pull him over in Lake View Terrace in

police on a short pursuit because he knew being pulled over would violate his

Reading Jane Austen has never appealed to me. The combination of dated prose, a
general aversion to plots I deemed to be too romantic , and my viewing of the film
adaptations were enough to keep me away from her novels. When I was asked to
read Persuasion for a class, I was hesitant and unwilling to fully engage with the
material. This prevented me from enjoying the book fully. I didn t quite know what
was holding me back from enjoying the book, but I knew that it was something
more than my explicit biases against Austen. After a little reflection, I realized that
my implicit biases were shaping my reading of Austen. My implicit bias against a
novel and author that I perceived as overly feminine was coloring how I was
interacting with and what messages I was taking from Persuasion (Austen).

that fit the expository, observational, and poetic style of documentary. At the

In this essay I will talk about what simple subjectivism is and the problems of the
impossibility of moral disagreement. First I will define ethical subjectivism and the
different version of subjectivism known as simple subjectivism. Then I will explain
