Interventional Radiology was running slow today during clinical. It first started off
by the nurses explaining what the day was going to consist of. After that they
explained, how to get everything ready to start the day. We did not start procedures
until around 0845. First patient was in for a cat scan, an I.V. was placed. The first
nursewas not the best person to explain a procedure, therefore I just watched as she
did the I.V. The second procedure was another cat scan, and I.V. placed too. This
nurse was more willing to explain as she did the procedure. However she did have
a harder time doing the I.V. because she was not having blood return. Another nurse
helped her but she also had trouble getting the I.V. placed. Later after that patient,
another patient was in, but he was going to be taken to catheterization lab. I did not

In the United States, all citizens are entitled to a freedom of choice, under which
they may choose their beliefs and ideals. Unfortunately, with this freedom , people
lose their sense of truth and reality, and must rely upon the ideals of times past and
present to ground themselves in this world. The Fire Next Time, written by James
Baldwin, examines this issue in Down At The
Cross , an account of the author s experience with founding his reality on religion and
with his continuing struggles with race and society. In this religious record,
Baldwin discusses how he finds a home in religion and how he spends the majority
of his life in his religious career, both of which offer a sense of safety for his lost

situation of fear taking over a person by showing it in the main character, a young

have been subjected to patriarchal oppression in various forms. From economic

gendered challenges in addition to racial discrimination in the forms of slavery, unfair
taxation, red lining, unequal access to education and derogatory media representation

Justice Sandra Day O Connor wrote the majority opinion along with justices Stephen
Breyer , Anthony Kennedy and chief justice William Rehnquistwrote that they
understood that enemy combatants should be detained at all costs because of the
(AUFM) Authorization For Use Of Military Force that was passed after the
incidents that took place in September 11. This allows for the president to use all
the power that he is authorized to use to punish those that took part in the September
11 event. Being born in the United States allowed Yaser to have his natural rights.
Due process allows for Hamdi to go against his charge of being an enemy combatant.
Justice O Connor also wrote that Unquestionably has the right to a fair trial in
connections to the proceedings in remand .
Concurrence: Justice David Souter and justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg both agreed with
the majorities opinion that he should be allowed to the Due Process protection so he
can fight his charges. Justice Antonio Scalia and justice John Paul Stevens also
completely went against the executive power of detention. That if congress were to
trial Yaser it should be under the normal criminal law.

Meditations is a series of personal writings which embodies Marcus Aurelius s view
on the Stoic philosophy. The collection of writings consists of 12 books written over
the course of his life in which by reminding himself he reminds us to be human, to
practice empathy, humility, kindness, and to realize that time is short in this world.
Going through the text, we discover an emperor who was a simple man and who did
not linger on his royal status. Rather, he was a man of simplified tastes which shows
him as being wise and humble. The theme of the book is mainly focused on the
nature of man and the universe. He argues that everything came into existence from
nature and when the things complete their destined time they return back to nature.
Marcus also focuses on the importance of having composure in one s life. He
believes that man should be strong and steadfast, and should strive to become better
and serene.
Marcus Aurelius is also a strong advocate of freeing oneself from the allure of the
material world. He believes that the worldly distractions do nothing but lead us astray
from our true potential and that man should be strong enough to overcome his urges.

Adolescence is a period of clear gains in intelligence and cognitive skills and one of
intense emotions and impulsive behavior (Johnson de Haan, 2015). We experience a
higher sensitivity to rejection during this time and place great importance of peer
relationships (Masten et al., 2009). Frequent experiences of social rejectionhave been
linked with lasting somatic, psychosomatic, and internalizing disorders (Wolke
Lereya, 2015), such as depression and anxiety (Rigby, 2000; as cited in Masten et
al., 2009). Educators and researchers alike have attempted to intervene in hopes of
reducing antisocial behaviors like bullying, a form of social rejection. In this paper,
I will (1) go over what adolescence is and broad developmental changes during this
period; (2) affective causes of social rejection; (3) some effects of social rejection
during adolescence; and lastly (4) some concluding statements and future directions.
Adolescence and broad changes during this period
According to Crone and Dahl (2011), adolescence is a transition phase between
childhood and adulthood. They, and many other researchers (e.g, Arnett, 2015), do
not believe that the beginning and end have clear cut boundaries. Somewhat
helpfully, a general range of adolescence has been agreed upon in the literature and
is between the ages of 9 and 19; this uses the onset of pubertal maturation as a
