Eleven million people were killed during the Holocaust. To put that in perspective, imagine waking up
and all the people in New York and Chicago combined were killed. That is how many people had lost
their lives because of what they believed in and how they looked. Racism, hatred, and bigotry toward
the Jewish, gypsy, and others caused a genocide of innocent people. The ones who survived were left

Michael Herskovitz is a man who lived through the Holocaust to tell his story. Born in Botfalva,
Czechoslovakia in 1929, he grew up with 2 brothers and 2 sisters and raised by his mother and father.
Their family owned a small store and lived in the town as one of two Jewish families. Herskovitz was
told he wasn t allowed to go to school anymore and soon after German soldiers caused his family
business to close down. Not to long after, Herskovitz and his family were told to leave his home and
were transported to a ghetto named Uzhhorod. They were transported from the ghetto to a
concentration camp soon later. They were placed at Auschwitz. Here, Herskovitz was separated from
his family. His little brother and mother had been placed in a line for those who were incapable of
work, his sisters were put in the line for girls and women, his father went in the line for adults, and

Throughout this paper I will be giving a synopsis for a book entitled Who Moved My Cheese, as well
as answering questions that relate to the story. The story is a parable which stresses the importance of
being able to adapt to change. The story includes four main characters: two mice, Sniffy and Scurry,
and two little people, Hem and Haw. All four characters inhabit a maze, and spend their time seeking
out cheese. The story peaks as both the mice and humans stumble upon a vast amount cheese at
Cheese Station C. After finding the cheese the two humans become content with their find, and stop
searching for more. In contrast the mice continue their search for cheese. The humans begin to become
use to the vast amount of cheese, thus they begin a pattern of consuming the cheese without
resupplying it. Eventually the cheese diminishes until there is none left. This slow decline of cheese is
no surprise to the mice. Through observation during the period where both humans and mice consume
the cheese, the mice mentally prepare themselves for the depletion of cheese. The mice then leave
Cheese Station C to search for more cheese. Hem and Haw react differently to being void of cheese
once again. When they arrive to Cheese Station C they are shocked to find out they do not have any
more cheese. Hem becomes angry and proposes that someone has moved their cheese. After returning
next day, it becomes confirmed to Hem and Haw that the cheese is gone. Haw proposes that they

The book, Peter Pan, is the most famous work of Scottish novelist and playwright, Sir James Matthew
Barrie. He first staged the story of Peter Pan in 1904 into the form of a play and subsequently
published a following novel in 1911. It is an endearing and alluring book about an eccentric and

As does any opera, Tchaikowky s Russian Opera Eugene Onegin portrays a storyline overrun with
tragedy. Eugene Onegin has inherited his uncle s estate giving him access to acres of hunting ground
on which he meets Lensky, whom he becomes rather good friends with. The friendship does not last
long however, as a vast misunderstanding comes between them. Lensky had recently been engaged to
Olga, a neighbor of Onegin s, and finds himself incredibly joyful and very much in love. Lensky sees
Onegin dancing with his fiancé , and takes Onegin to be attempting to seduce his fiancé, yet this is not
the case. Onegin was only dancing with Olga to be cruel to her younger sister Tatyana who has

Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is an essential nutrient used for the creation of certain biological compounds
and is naturally found in citrus fruits. 1 Ascorbic acid has a chemical formula of C¬¬6H8O6 and
reacts with Iodine to cause the reaction:2 C6H8O6(aq) + I2(aq) C6H6O6aq) +2I¬ (aq) + 2H+
To determine the amount of vitamin C an amount of KIO3 solution with a known concentration had it
s iodine freed with the chemicals KI and H2S04, this allowed the iodine to react with the dissolved
vitamin C tablet. This was then titrated against a primary standard of sodium thiosulfate at a
concentration of 0.01102*10 5¬¬M. These chemicals cause the following reactions3:
KIO3(aq) + 5KI(aq) +3H2SO¬4(aq) 3I2(aq) + 3K2SO4(aq) + 3H2O(l)
2Na2S2O3(aq) + I2(aq) 2NaI(aq) + Na2S4O6(aq)
Since the volume of KIO3 solution and so is the molarity we can determine the amount of KIO3
solution that was freed. We can then compare that to the amount of primary standard used to

Procedure
The procedure given in the First Year Chemistry Lab Manual for Experiment G4 was followed with
the modifications below.

In Behrendt et al (2014) in summary of the article reviewing continuous bedside pressure mapping
(CBPM) devices were studied on the effects of pressure ulcer prevention. It focused on reducing the
number of hospital associated pressure ulcers. Prevention of pressure ulcer is a very important in

substantial areas of skin that do not get relieved and remain at risk for pressure ulcers regardless of
routine repositioning by experienced nurses (Peterson et al., 2013). The study was done to reduce
pressure ulcers prevention by revealing that other areas of the skin were still at risk after repositioning
the patient. Further studies would reveal inconsistencies in this study whether or not these triple
