The Nazis And The Superior Race
It is strange to study one of Europe s darkest periods and wonder how on Earth so many people
believed in the Nazis and the superior race. As much as anyone hates to admit it, Hitler was one
heck of a leader, by amassing millions of followers and being able to keep them. He could have
only held so much power by believing in his cause so much that others could not help but
believe it too. Hitler, Rosenburg, and other Nazi leaders saw the Jews as a separate, inbred,
greedy, race who were trying to dominate the economy and essentially take over the world.
Though anti semitism had existed for many centuries prior to this, it was enflamed like never
before by propaganda and publications such as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. These racist
ideals were codified in the Nuremberg Laws set forth in 1935. This modern anti semitism was
different in both kind and intensity than previously seen in Europe. Interesting enough, are the
influences the different leaders of the Nazi party had on each other in their ideologies that
became the platform for their party. Hitler was the most well known leader of this cause.
Everything Hitler believed was inspired by Karl Lueger, the mayor of Vienna when Hitler was
studying art there. Lueger was the leader of the anti Semitic Christian Social Party in Vienna.
Hitler got his idea for the Final Solution from Lueger s advocacy for the partial extermination of
Austria s Jews. During his time in Vienna, Hitler had a world view with the notion that

The Electronic Toll Collection in Malaysia, Questions and...
Introduction (Maximum 2 pages)
Two decades ago, the answer of the following question of possibilities of cash disappeared as a
payment method is clearly No . Cash represents as financial transaction of any products or
services. The idea of having a cashless world has been thinking long times ago.
The risks of handling cash are high compared to electronic money including toll fares. The
introduction of electronic payment system has created an opportunity for the other payment system
to be begun. It may be difficult for cash to be as payment method to complete with new emerging
payment system (Taylor, 2006).
The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) in Malaysia has been introduced in the year 1994 at PLUS
Expressway. It has evolved since then many changes have been made. ETC consists of system and
device that must be used together. It is types of complementary items. To use the SmartTag, users
must have Touch n Go card. The ETC penetration has been grown steadily on June 2006. The
average ETC penetration rate nationwide is 37% and 50% for Klang Valley toll highways.
Electronic Toll Collection is a technology enabling the electronic collection of toll payments. This
system is capable of determining the car is registered or not, and then informing the authorities of
toll payment violations (Khadijah and Dr. Wahid, 2010). Example of violation that can be recorded
is exemption violation and also long journey time.
ETC is the system that offers electronics passes that can be

Privy Council vs . Caribbean Court of Justice
Course: HM323
Date: February 13th 2013
Topic: The Privy Council vs. Caribbean Court of Justice
The Privy Council vs. Caribbean Court of Justice At the center of the judicial system in the
Commonwealth Caribbean lies the English Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. The Judicial
Committee of the Privy Council is primarily the final Court of Appeal for those Commonwealth
territories which have retained the appeal to Her Majesty in other matters. The Privy Council is an
institution that became established as the final court for the individual countries during the era of
colonialism. The Privy Council is the British Crown s private council. It is composed of more than
three hundred members, including cabinet members, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The members of the Council are collectively known as The Lords of Her Majesty s Most
Honourable Privy Council . The Sovereign appoints Privy Counselors on the advice of the
government and generally consists of senior members of Parliament, the church and judiciary. The
Privy Council shows a more complex structure than the CCJ. The CCJ is the highest appellate court
for Barbados Guyana and Belize however all the other islands retain the Privy Council as their final
appellate court. Another distinguishing feature is that the CCJ can interpret the Treaty and apply it
to our legal systems only where possible. This limitation means that it has to be done within the
confines of the different laws of the islands. This feature is unlike to the EU system where the EU
court could make direct laws which would affect member states. The Privy Council would be
interpreting Caribbean laws based on the examples they have had with the Single European
Community. On the other hand the Caribbean Court of Justice would have an active role in
resolving trade disputes and trade integration based on the laws relating to the Caribbean community
.

Badaracco s Moral Flexibility
Badaracco introduces the concept of moral flexibility in his observations of the legendary
Okonkwo from African literature. As the chief tribal leader of Umuofia, Okonkwo s upbringing
causes him to develop the character traits of strength, courage, and perseverance. He holds firmly
to his personal convictions and the traditions of Umuofia. However, Okonkwo s failures reveal
his true moral code after he beats one of his wives and lies about it during the Week of Peace.
Rather than adapting his convictions to the concerns and values of his community, Okonkwo clung
to his traditional values at the cost of his relationships. Towards the end of his life, Okonkwo went
into exile while Umuofia embraced the change and influence of Westerners. Finally, Okonkwo
commits the greatest act of cowardice as a leader and kills himself.... Show more content on

As Badaracco describes, a moral code must supersede personal convictions and adapt to the
convictions and needs of the community. The opposition between Badaracco s moral flexibility and
Kouzes and Posner s integrity of values is the primary determinant of moral values. The idea of
moral flexibility is based on the external environment. In this situation, the determinant of a person s
values is the environment and community a person finds him or herself in. The source of a moral
code, according to moral flexibility, is not a set of unchanging principles, but harmony with the ever
changing environment and the universal values of human dignity, love, and goodwill. On the other
hand, the integrity of values is based on an internalized foundation of values. The determinant of
these values is the individual s personal convictions based on unchanging

Program Evaluation and Review Technique Article
PROGRAM EVALUATION AND REVIEW TECHNIQUE (PERT) Category: Planning
/ Monitoring Control ABSTRACT Program (Project) Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT)(G)
is a project management tool used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks within a project. It is
basically a method to analyze the tasks involved in completing a given project, especially the time
needed to complete each task, and to identify the minimum time needed to complete the total
project. PERT planning involves the following steps: пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® Identify the
specific activities and milestones. Determine the proper sequence of the activities. Construct a

Determine the critical path. The critical path is determined by adding the times for the activities in
each sequence and determining the longest path in the project. The critical path determines the total
calendar time required for the project. If activities outside the critical path speed up oe slow down
(within limits), the total project time does not change. The amount of time that a non critical path
activity can be delayed without the project is referred to as a slack time. If the critical path is not
immediately obvious, it may be helpful to determine the following four quantities foe each activity:
ES Earliest Start time EF Earliest Finish time LS Latest Start time LF Latest Finish time These
times are calculated using the expected time for the relevant activities. The earliest start and finish
times of each activity are determined by working forward through the network and determining the
earliest time at which an activity can start and finish considering its predecessors activities. The
latest start and finish times are the latest times that an activity can start and finish without delaying
the project. LS and LF are found by working backward through the network. The difference in the
latest and earliest finish of each activity is that activity s slack. The critical path then is the path
through the network in which none of the activities have slack. The variance in the project
completion time can be calculated by

To prevent exposure to dangerous viruses and bacteria many people use sanitizers such as Purex

Isopropyl Alcohol can kill 99.99% of all non spore forming bacteria types in under 30 seconds.
In a large clinical study in 2004 a test showed that placing hand sanitizer dispensers in an office
resulted in a 21% reduction in absences. In schools the test showed 51% less of absences, and
43% in college dormitories. The standard for hand sanitisers used in clinics and hospitals is a
alcohol concentration of at least 70% but in U.S. stores hand sanitisers that have as low as 40%
concentrations are available. In the food industry workers are not allowed to use only alcohol
antiseptics. Certain spore forming bacteria, especially the endospores of gram positive bacteria
are usually resistant to hand sanitizers as well as soap and water but are visible in spore
formation. Gram positive bacteria is impenetrable to sanitizers because of its thick and well
built plasma membrane which is thicker than most viruses and fungus cell s membranes. This
attribute gives great difficulty to alcohol antiseptics and is hard to destroy the proteins inside the
cell because of the thick wall. Most alcohol based sanitizers are effective against most viruses
and funguses better than simply hand washing with soap. Never the less it is good to wash your
hands frequently and not rely solely on alcohol based hand sanitiser. By washing your hands with
soap and warm water you are able to get rid of most of the bigger more visible funguses and

Jayber Crow
Slowly, patiently, the observer becomes the participant; a cub hunting for its first meal. Have
you ever come across a friend like this? This friend often being reserved and standoffish then
turning into a pariah? Jonah Crow, an orphan at the age of ten grew up in the face of adversity
he knew the feelings of loneliness and want; seeing as his mother, father, aunt and uncle died
leaving him helpless at an orphanage in the town of Port William, Kentucky. This is a book about
Heaven, or the fact that Jayber could actually be living in a hell where the participants fail to love
one another, where they hate and destroy the objects and people they love, everything done is done

He was intermittent, always moving frantically from task to task, building his empire purely on
money, which entirely meant an empire built on his debt, which, again, means an empire built on
accountability which Troy was not. An agribusinessman is a person who works in or manages an
agricultural business. During the time Jayber Crow existed agriculture was all the rage. Family
farms made up 40% of the American workforce. Readers could see why family farming was so
important. So why would people want to bring in top gun machinery and ruin the land for future
crops? For money and growth of themselves, not for the farming industry because in the late
1900s farming dropped from 40% to a glum 4.6%. Agribusiness arrives and begins to slowly tear
apart small farms in Jayber Crow s world. Even in today s society big businesses tower in our
economy. It seems that agriculture is not given any thought when it comes to making a profit and
this tremendous defect in humans is another reason people can not live just to please and benefit
themselves.
People who live to help people and become saints of the land and vow to protect it are the people
who made the land last. Mattie Keith, Troy Chatham s wife is an example of giving with no
purpose to receive unlike big agribusiness men. Jayber several times throughout the novel
expresses his great love for Mattie but what strikes Jayber like a is the fear that he and Troy are the
same man

Michael Pollan Foods
Michael Pollan once said, In America we eat, collectively with a glum urge for food to fill us. We
are ignorant of flavor. We are as a nation taste blind. I agree with his statement; fast foods and
frozen foods are slowly killing people s taste buds. Fast and frozen foods leaves our taste buds blind
towards true flavor of homemade meals. People need to stop eatingfoods that are not freshly
cooked, and they should start eating foods that are freshly made with rich seasonings. The
problem is that people do not take the time to realize that fast and frozen foods are causing them to
become blind to the taste of cooked traditional homemade dinners. Americans have to wake up,
open their eyes, and spend more time making homemade foods to enjoy the true meaning of flavor.
Until then, our nation s taste buds will be blunted by fast foods and frozen foods.... Show more

Rhetorical Analysis Of Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa continued her uses of pathos in her speech by recalling a past experience she had
with a poor woman. She reflected on the poor people as great people which allowed the audience to
see them as something other than a stereotype. She remembered how the poor woman thanked her
and many others about the importance of abstaining and having self control in regards to having
children. As she died, the womanlooked at MotherTeresa, said
Thank you , and died with a smile on her face. She told her audience this story to get them to see
a side of people that they didn t necessarily know about. They got to see how this woman was poor

Doctors usually ask family members if it is okay to donate the organs, even if they say they are
donors on their licence. The opt out policy would allow you to donate your organs regardless of
your family members saying no when approached upon your death. An opt out policy is not the
only thing that we can do to help increase the number of available organs. Despite the fact it is
illegal to sell organs, to help increase the numbers of donors, some states are offering to pay the
family indirectly. If a family agrees to organ donation, Pennsylvania pays $300 directly to the
family s funeral home to help defray the cost of the funeral (Organ Donation). With some states
paying the family indirectly, there has been an increase in the number of donors. Being paid

Sunset Boulevard Movie Essay
Sunset Boulevard is a movie that needs no introduction, but to keep to proper essay format, I
will give it one anyways. This 1950 classic is a staple in the book of Billy Wilder s film making
genius. Directed and written in part by Wilder, this film not only utilized Billy s classic comedy
noir charm, but paired him with the incredible John Seitz, and Franz Waxman. William Holden and
Gloria Swansondo a marvelous job at capturing the depth of their characters, and embody the style
of everything that makes 50 s Hollywood incredible. But the combination of the three
aforementioned men make for a hard hitting behind the scenes team, one that near outshines the
actors themselves.
This being the only film that Wilder made which focused on film making as a topic in its fictional
story arc; he made a few key decisions which made this a great movie. Wilder chose to allow the
setting to portray itself. While this may be an obvious choice for a movie about Hollywood, using
real locations keeps the setting alive. Wilder also had many actors and directors portray themselves.

very small portions of the screen, and are shot on a downward angle, as if to make us literally

In Alex Rider: Snakehead, teenage agent Alex Rider is held hostage by Chinese British gangster
addressed as Major Yu after being illegally smuggled into Australia under the cover of an Afghan

particular quotes, that Alex will successfully flee from Major Yu s grip and will be in the
possession of M16 or possibly the Australian Secret Intelligence Service; both intelligence services
in which Alex has served for in the past. This prediction is due to the fact that Major Yu remarks
about his condition which is known as osteoporosis. Osteoporosis, more commonly known as brittle

Tiananmen Square Massacre Essay
With thousands left wounded, a seemingly countless number of citizens reported dead, and a
country left with a reputation in jeopardy. All of these were the consequences of a shocking and
devastating event which happened on the 4th of June 1989, the Tiananmen Square massacre.
Overtime this has been viewed as a major turning point in Chinese history. It catalyzed movements
for generations across the world.
Tiananmen Square is a city square in the centre of Beijing, China. It is named after Tiananmen,
Gate of Heavenly Peace. The square contains the Monument to the People s Heroes, the Great Hall
of the People, the National Museum of China, and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong. Mao Zedong
died on September 9, 1976. At the time of his death, China was in a political and economic
dilemma. The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution (1966 1976) and factional fighting had left the
country much poorer, weaker, and isolated than it had been in 1965. A large amount of
experienced party officials, intellectuals, and professionals were deteriorating in prison or working

Disadvantages Of Marjoram
Marjoram
Marjoram (Origanum Majorana) is an aromatic herb in the mint family. It grows wild in
Mediterranean countries such as Cyprus, Turkey and Greece and is a popular additive to their
cuisine (used in sauces, soups and meat dishes).
Sweet or knotted marjoram is considered to be a perennial herb but it does not survive cold
temperatures, so must be sown every year. It prefers full exposure to the sun and is best planted
in well drained soil where it has room to spread. In common with other aromatic herbs, such as
Fennel, Basil, Dill, etc., it is not subject to the attack of birds as many other seeds are.
Marjoram has a slightly minty, citrusy taste and it can be used as fresh or dried leaves to season
foods. It is included in popular English ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also believed that if marjoram grows on a grave, it s a sign that the departed soul has found
happiness. Throughout the middle ages it was worn by bridal couples to signify love, honour and
happiness. In Germany bunches of the wild herb was hung over the door to protect against any
spells that might have been cast by passing witches.
It is said that a man named Amarakos in service to the king, broke a bottle of precious perfume.
He fell down into a swoon and the Gods changed him into Marjoram.
Marjoram is bound to Mercury and air. A mixture of marjoram and violets is to protect the family

The Theme Of Money In The Great Gatsby
There is no point in denying it, we all love money and want plentiful amounts of it. We yearn to
be like the richest people in the world, who have so much money they can do whatever they want.
Maybe some of us even want to be the richest person in the world, at this moment the richest man
in the world is Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon. He has a net worth of 90.6 billion dollars,
something none of us will ever experience, but can dream about. But dreams pertaining to money
can only get us so far. Money is a theme consistently expressed throughout two novels, The Great
Gatsbyby F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. Fitzgerald s novel considers
money primarily through the life of a wealthy man who flourishes in life,... Show more content on

Through meeting and knowing Daisy, Gatsby falls in love with her and the idea of having her in
his life, which makes him motivated to work in order to make money. In contrast, George
Wilson lives in a setting of adversity (Fitzgerald 25). He works to supply for himself and his wife,
but nothing ever comes out of his work because he does not know people to help him become
successful, and he is unable to make much money. In The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsbythrives in life,
while George Wilson does not. Fitzgerald compares characters of different social classes and their
capabilities of success, while Steinbeck supplies the reader with decidedly different experiences of
success through the two main characters, George and Lennie, and their lives.
In Of Mice and Men the main characters, Lennie and George, are unfortunate and have poor
qualities of life because they do not have much money, and do not know people who can guide
them into better situations. George and Lennie are unsuccessful because they are simply
ranchers who work for another man, they don t do the work to make money for themselves
(Steinbeck 6). Instead, they do the work for the boss and get paid by the boss. Lennie and George
are forced to leave Weed. They can be found nonstop in precarious situations. This can show that
success and quality of life is determined by who you know because George travels around with
Lennie, and Lennie is more of a hindrance than a help. George constantly talks about what he

The Flaws of Non-Governmental Organizations in Developing...
The role of Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in the world today has been increasingly
questioned in recent literature as people begin to recognize the flaws of our development aid
industry. The article NGOs A Tainted History by Firoze Manji and Carl O Coill explores the
history of the rise of NGOs in Africain order to demonstrate that their aim is to control and colonize
Africa. Similarly, the novel Damned Nations: Geed, Guns, Armies Aidby Samantha Nutt
emphasizes the patriarchal tendencies of the aid industry and the influences of the political
objectives of donor countries with descriptions of her first hand experiences on the field. With the
articles Challenging Indifference to Extreme Poverty: Considering Southern Perspectives on Global
Citizenship and Change by Barbara Heron and International NGOs and the Aid Industry: constraints
on international Solidarity by Molly Kane in mind, I considered the effects and roles of NGOs as
development organizations and instruments of change. Whereas the compilation of stories in
Generation NGO, edited by Alisha Apale and Valerie Stam, recollected individual experiences of
development workers, highlighting the moral and ethical challenges they faced day to day.
Analysis of the abovementioned readings allowed me to conclude that NGOs are destructive in the
developing countries in which they are situated because they impose colonialist influences, are
biased towards their political supporters, are ineffective when faced

Solubility Product Constant Lab Report
Determine the solubility product constant (Kв‚›в‚љ) of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)в‚‚) by using
the concentrations of calcium and hydroxide found during titration.
The solubility product constant, or Kв‚›в‚љ, represents the level at which a substance dissolves in a
solution at equilibrium. A higher Kв‚›в‚љ value means the more soluble a substance is in a solution.
The solubility product constant, similar to solubility, is temperature dependent. When writing the
expression for Kв‚›в‚љ solids and liquids do not appear since their concentrations do not change,
only aqueous solutions are expressed.
The Kв‚›в‚љ equation would be written as Kв‚›в‚љ= [C]^c[D]^d. The reason the reactant aA is not
included is because it is a solid, therefore not represented in the expression. ... Show more content

So the 0.050 concentration of HCl affects how fast the rate of solubility will occur. If there was a
higher concentration the faster the reaction would occur.
The temperature affects how effective the solute molecules break apart. The higher the temperature
the more kinetic energy is formed, which increases the effectiveness of finding the solubility
constant.
If the Ca(OH)в‚‚ was not filtered correctly during the experiment the concentrations of the
experiment would be off. If cloudiness still remained in the solute after filtration then the more HCl
would have been used to find the solubility of calcium hydroxide. Filtering correctly helps with the
effectiveness of breaking apart molecules to find specific concentrations to find the total solubility
product constant. The best option to finding the correct final product is to filter until clear.
If too much or too little of the saturated solute was used how could that affect the experiment? More
solute means more solvent, but however, with the final calculations, the final product should be the
same if data was recorded

Western Honey Bee Essay
In recent years, many citizens have been pushing the idea that we need to save the bees,
specifically the western honey bee. Advocates for saving the bees spread information on social
media. These posts can show how to start a bee garden and list off the plants that would become
extinct without honey bees and claim that without honey bees agriculture in the United States
would cease to exist. Others have bees that say If we die, you die with us, and state that the
ecosystem would fail without the honey bee. But are either of these claims true?
Western honey bees are one of the many pollinators that inhabit North America. There are around
four thousand bee species native to North America, but the western honey bee is not one of them.
The exact etymology of the honey bee has always been a question. Entomologists first put the
origin of the honey bee in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These species include bees, such as the western honey bee, along with flies, beetles, moths, and
butterflies. Pollination, as far as honey bees are concerned, is a process where honey bees legs get
coated in pollen which they transfer from flower to flower to fertilize the plant. Plants rely on
pollinators to grow and produce offspring. Without pollination, many plants would die off and
would not be around the next growing season. Pollination is the sole reason the U.S. has as many
fruits, vegetables, and nuts that it does. The western honey bee is one of the many important
pollinators that have become a huge part of North American agriculture, but they might not be
necessary.
Many industries rely in some way on the honey bee. Agriculture relies on the western honey bee
for pollination. Honey and beeswax are both byproducts of the honey bee. Even the western honey
bee itself has its own industry. In order to understand if the western honey bee is necessary to the
U.S., it is important just how influential the honey bee is in these

Ethical Proposal For Worldcom
I believe that the proposals will not be effective in preventing another WorldCom for several
reasons. First, I believe that many companies operate within their own corporate bubble and that
many officers and directors probably believe that the problems at WorldCom could never occur at
their company. Because of this, they will largely ignore the corporate structural undertakings of
companies around them. Next, very few boards will voluntarily shake things up at their company,
especially if their growth and financials are positive. With the highly competitive nature of many
industries, I can t imagine too many company taking preemptive steps to change their corporate
governance during a period of success, but in the case of WorldCom, ironically this successful
growth period is exactly where they uncovered the wrongdoing. As a shareholder, you should
always be asking questions about a company s performance, even when they are outperforming.
While Breeden s proposal is certainly an outline for corporate governance success, due to human
nature, the principle agent problem will exist within companies that have less than reputable
directors and officers. Another reason this report won t stop another WorldCom from happening is
that there is an inherent flaw in our corporate structure that doesn t exist in the corporate structures
in countries such as Japan and Germany. In those countries, the shareholder is not the primary
stakeholder that a company looks to satisfy, but

Essay On Hyperthermia
Many people have an understanding of what hyperthermia is and the reasons it may occur in an
individual. Hyperthermia occurs when the body s core temperature reaches between 37 38В°C
due an inability to dissipate heat. In most cases, the occurrence of hyperthermia can be credited to
a known reason. Examples include being outside in extremely hot temperatures without any
cooling mechanism or vigorous exercise in extreme heat causing the body s temperature to rise.
Hyperthermia is determined by an increase in core temperature at a rate of 1 2В°C every five
minutes (2, 11). However, in certain individuals, the use of general anesthesia can cause individuals
to suffer from an inherited disorder known as malignant hyperthermia. When malignant
hyperthermia is triggered, individuals are at risk of hypoxemia, metabolic acidosis,

The increase in metabolic activity occurs in response to inhalational anesthetics and depolarizing
muscle relaxers, such as succinylcholine, and causes individuals to suffer from muscle rigidity,

treatment is not initiated quickly, the individual may die from ventricular fibrillation or, if the
situation is extended, the patient may die from renal failure (1). For treatment, patients are given
dantrolene, a muscle relaxer that prevents the release of calcium. Once dantrolene was widely used
as a treatment for malignant hyperthermia, the mortality rate from the disorder dropped from more
than 80% to less than 7% (1, 5, 6). Overall, the rate at which malignant hyperthermia occurs is
between 1:5,000 and 1:75,000 (2). While the physical results of malignant hyperthermia are known,

Police Subculture Analysis
I.Question I have been assigned to define the concept of police subculture and the role it plays in
police relations with African Americans, and to describe the six subculture perspectives of police
officers as they are presented in the text, and to discuss whether I believe those perspectives are
still valid today.
II.Answer In his article, Strecher describes the police subculture, as when police officers are
working together, they often develop the same set of values, customs, and artifacts that regulate
how members behave and which establish the boundaries of appropriateness, and can also be
determined by what ethnic group one belongs to (Strecher, 1971, P.224). For instance, according to
Strecher, there are large groups of police officers that work primarily within subcultures, with
African Americans, Hispanics, Native Americans, Asian, Jewish, etc. (Strecher, 1971, P.224). With

Analysis Of The Book Maus
Adolf Hitler stated, The Jews are undoubtedly a race, but they are not human. (2) Adolf Hitler
was the man who started the Nazi Regime which became the biggest massacre in the world. The
massacre was known as the Holocaust in which millions of Jews were killed. Maus tells the story
of father who was a Polish Jew at the time of the Holocaust. Maus is also portrayed visually with
high angle shots, low angle shots, curved lines, shadows and rule of thirds. Art Spiegelman drew his
graphics in specific way, which was to grab the reader s attention more to the pictures rather than
the words because a photo can explain a thousand words. There are two underlining stories in
Maus. One story is telling how Vladeck survived Auschwitz and the other story is how Art,
Vladeck s son, gets his story from his father and the relationship between Art and Vladeck.

Importance Of Internet Neutrality
In the United States the Internet is the first place that everyone goes to when they want to get
information. The Internet provides everything that anyone could possibly want and on the Internet
everyone is considered as equals. That can quickly all go away. The only way to keep the Internet
the way it is, is to preserve Internet neutrality. Internet neutrality, also known as network neutrality,
is defined broadly, is non discriminatory interconnectedness among data communication networks
that allows users to access the content and to run the services, applications, and devices of their
choice (Meinrath, Pickard 1). This means that the Internet is not restricted and the government or
Internet service providers have no rule over how the Internet is run or what people can and can t

the individual rocks, the faster the weathering rate would be. At the end of this experiment, I have

Adam Weishaupt Biography Essay
Adam Weishaupt was born on February 6, 1748. After graduating from the University of Ingolstadt
in 1768, Weishaupt went on to become a professor of law. Through his work he adopted Kantian
Idealism, which would influence his ideals and lead him to start the Illuminati. At first, Weishaupt
attempted to join the Freemasons, but found that it was too expensive and that his ideas would not
fit into the order, leading him to form his own group. On May 1, 1776, Adam Weishaupt
founded the
Bavarian Illuminati, which began with 5 members consisting of Weishaupt and 5 of his students.
Despite being unable to join the Freemasons, Adam used them as a prototype, using some elements
while also learning from their mistakes. Weishaupt also drew on organizational... Show more

Niall Ferguson writes in his book The square and the Tower, from Freemasons to Facebook The
Illuminati were from the offset a contradiction in terms: an organization in the service of the
Enlightenment that shrouded itself in obfuscation. One thing to keep in mind is that the
Illuminati was founded during the Enlightenment era where orders such as the Illuminati were
not uncommon. Italy was still experiencing social unrest caused by the likes of Galileo and
Copernicus in their discoveries. Their beliefs however, are quite interesting. Their main goal was
essentially was to take over the world. They believed there was some hidden thing they could
learn to enlighten themselves. Seth Belfour writes in The Illuminati Vol 1 ...a hidden, out of sight
mechanism which can be grasped by our minds if we are enlightened enough to see it. Their
actual belief was that our whole reality works under a certain logical system. Members were
instructed to seek knowledge, know the aims of their society, and observe persons and events.
Essentially the Illuminati was formed as an order that watched and controlled all and for its
members to be the smartest, wisest, best, etc. of all the

Food Wasting In America Essay
When I was little I was never able to finish my food, and my mom would always tell me that I
should always finish my food because not everybody has a chance to eat. Food wasting in
america is well talked about problem with $165 million dollars worth of food is being wasted
every year. Food wasting in america can be caused by many things, but three main reasons are
overstocking their produce, misconceptions with the due date, and business. Many businesses waste
foodespecially by overstocking. In farmer s markets many farmers overstock their crates with
produce to have appeal to the buyers. Delaney Zayac gives us an example that if he would have
sold more chard if people saw more of it in the crate compared to seeing only some (Last Week
Tonight). This is because many people have the assumption that if it s the last one there must be
something wrong with it. With that being the case many farmers overstock produce so that it takes
away that assumption and people would buy their product. But overstocking also causes food
waste, with farmers overstocking their produce to make it look appealing to buyers they... Show

Harold McClarty, the owner of HMC farms, say Getting into the hands of somebody to eat it isn
t free... It s a lot easier and cheaper to just throw it away (Last Week Tonight). Businesses throw
away their produce as a way to save money, because in order to send it to food banks they would
have to box it and ship it over to them which costs them resources compared to throwing it away
which is a lot faster and at little to no cost at all. Businesses aren t given any incentive to donate
their food so if they re not receiving any benefit to donate food to food banks then there s no
reason for them to donate at all, and they just waste tons of their product which doesn t get to be

The Discovery Of North America
The discovery of North America sparked a new era of exploration, expansion, and colonization.
Many European countries took the opportunity to develop a new territory where they could prosper
financially and benefit their home country as much as possible. The trip overseas was strenuous, as
was maintaining positive relationships with Native Americans and running a successful colony.
Although all European countries who showed interest in establishing territories in the Americashad
their own reasons for doing so, some countries did a better job executing their colonizing than
others. Britain, France, and Spain were the three most successful countries in terms of colonizing a
new land for their country.
The Spanish were amongst the best explorers at the time, establishing settlements in Hispaniola and
Mexico. They were looking for wealth, power, and to expand their territory. An explorer named
Hernan Cortes invaded the massive Native empire of the Aztecs, which was far richer and larger
than any town in Spain. When invited into the city, Cortes sought to conquer, enslave and steal
from the wealthy city. By forming many alliances with Native tribes who hated the Aztecs, the
Spanish overtook the city, showing no mercy towards their enemies. They enslaved those they didn
t kill, and disassembled some of the former Aztec pyramids into Christian Cathedrals. Cortes was
eventually named governor of Mexico after his victory. The Spanish had more urban establishments

Renaissance And Humanism In The Middle Ages And Renaissance
The Middle Ages and Renaissance where microcosms apart in every aspect of human life with the
Renaissance literally means awakening or rebirth . In areas of art, tools such as perspective,
realism, and individualism showed the great leap in creativity during the Renaissance. Likewise, the
worldly individual, or the RenaissanceMan , was an improvement over the ignorant, spiritual man of
the middle Ages. Also, the revival of classical learning and education that occurred in the
Renaissance was the exact opposite of the suppression of learning during the Middle Ages
compared to the renaissance philosophy of humanism that emphasize the potential of individual
achievement and stipulating that humans were rational beans capable of truth and goodness. The
amount of unique advances made in the Renaissance in all areas cannot be paralleled by the
progress set forth during the Middle Ages. So if I had the opportunity to be transferred back in time
and I can only choose between the renaissance and the Middle Ages, The renaissance would be my
first choice, with such philosophies as humanism, neoclassicism sought to reconcile humanism with
Christianity, to blend the teachings of Plato and other ancient philosophers with the teachings of
the Church. Neo Platonism flourished throughout Italyas the primary philosophy by which artists
rationalized their more secular works. We re on the other hand Middle Ages had to deal with the
reality of feudalism, a combined economic and social

Hedda Gabler Role In Society
In the play Hedda Gabler, Henrik Ibsen has clearly shown the audience how the end of the 19th
century has influenced his own portrayal of his characters and their role in society. It is important
to take into consideration the expectations placed upon women at that time and to understand the
limited roles they had to play in society. However in Ibsen s play, he has decided to show an ideal
society by giving a greater amount of freedom to women by showing them to be more independent.
These ideologies have been shown through the character of Hedda Gablerand the play is a reaction
to how society would react to a woman with such liberties . Through the setting of the play, the
feeling of entrapment of Hedda Gabler is going to be explored: a feeling... Show more content on

When Mrs. Elvsted leaves a bouquet of flowers on the piano, it s a symbol of gratitude. I believe
that the flowers depict relationships that Hedda has with people. However by the end of act 2
most of the flowers have been removed showing that her relationships with other characters have
become limited. This is further brought across through to the audience because they are placed
in glasses and vases which are very fragile objects; ones that can easily be broken just like Hedda
s relationships with other people. This could be one of the reasons why she decides to take her
own life with the pistol. Her relations with other people gradually dissipate and she believes that no
one understands her as she has different perspectives. The feeling of frustration and anger could

so doing the ten minute turn was born, and was the standard ground time for many years.[16]
Southwest turned its first annual profit in 1973, and has done so every year since a record
unmatched by any other commercial airline.[17] Southwest has used financial techniques such as
fuel hedging to bolster its profitability and counteract many of the fiscal disadvantages of operating
an airline.
Fuel cost containment measures
Southwest Airlines earned a reputation for being very aggressive and proactive about containing
fuel costs as a key to maintaining profit margins. [19] With fuel being an airline s most important
variable cost, Southwest s measures have become a model for the industry.
[edit] Hedging fuel
Southwest has a longtime program to hedge fuel prices. It has purchased fuel options years in
advance to smooth out fluctuations in fuel costs.
In 2000, Southwest said it had adjusted its hedging strategy to utilize financial derivative

  • 2. The Nazis And The Superior Race It is strange to study one of Europe s darkest periods and wonder how on Earth so many people believed in the Nazis and the superior race. As much as anyone hates to admit it, Hitler was one heck of a leader, by amassing millions of followers and being able to keep them. He could have only held so much power by believing in his cause so much that others could not help but believe it too. Hitler, Rosenburg, and other Nazi leaders saw the Jews as a separate, inbred, greedy, race who were trying to dominate the economy and essentially take over the world. Though anti semitism had existed for many centuries prior to this, it was enflamed like never before by propaganda and publications such as The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. These racist ideals were codified in the Nuremberg Laws set forth in 1935. This modern anti semitism was different in both kind and intensity than previously seen in Europe. Interesting enough, are the influences the different leaders of the Nazi party had on each other in their ideologies that became the platform for their party. Hitler was the most well known leader of this cause. Everything Hitler believed was inspired by Karl Lueger, the mayor of Vienna when Hitler was studying art there. Lueger was the leader of the anti Semitic Christian Social Party in Vienna. Hitler got his idea for the Final Solution from Lueger s advocacy for the partial extermination of Austria s Jews. During his time in Vienna, Hitler had a world view with the notion that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction (Maximum 2 pages) Two decades ago, the answer of the following question of possibilities of cash disappeared as a payment method is clearly No . Cash represents as financial transaction of any products or services. The idea of having a cashless world has been thinking long times ago. The risks of handling cash are high compared to electronic money including toll fares. The introduction of electronic payment system has created an opportunity for the other payment system to be begun. It may be difficult for cash to be as payment method to complete with new emerging payment system (Taylor, 2006). The Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) in Malaysia has been introduced in the year 1994 at PLUS Expressway. It has evolved since then many changes have been made. ETC consists of system and device that must be used together. It is types of complementary items. To use the SmartTag, users must have Touch n Go card. The ETC penetration has been grown steadily on June 2006. The average ETC penetration rate nationwide is 37% and 50% for Klang Valley toll highways. Electronic Toll Collection is a technology enabling the electronic collection of toll payments. This system is capable of determining the car is registered or not, and then informing the authorities of toll payment violations (Khadijah and Dr. Wahid, 2010). Caribbean Court of Justice Course: HM323 Date: February 13th 2013 Topic: The Privy Council vs. Caribbean Court of Justice The Privy Council vs. Caribbean Court of Justice At the center of the judicial system in the Commonwealth Caribbean lies the English Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. The Judicial Committee of the Privy Council is primarily the final Court of Appeal for those Commonwealth territories which have retained the appeal to Her Majesty in other matters. The Privy Council is an institution that became established as the final court for the individual countries during the era of colonialism. The Privy Council is the British Crown s private council. It is composed of more than three hundred members, including cabinet members, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The members of the Council are collectively known as The Lords of Her Majesty s Most Honourable Privy Council . The Sovereign appoints Privy Counselors on the advice of the government and generally consists of senior members of Parliament, the church and judiciary. The Privy Council shows a more complex structure than the CCJ. The CCJ is the highest appellate court for Barbados Guyana and Belize however all the other islands retain the Privy Council as their final appellate court. Another distinguishing feature is that the CCJ can interpret the Treaty and apply it to our legal systems only where possible. This limitation means that it has to be done within the confines of the different laws of the islands. This feature is unlike to the EU system where the EU court could make direct laws which would affect member states. The Privy Council would be interpreting Caribbean laws based on the examples they have had with the Single European Community. On the other hand the Caribbean Court of Justice would have an active role in resolving trade disputes and trade integration based on the laws relating to the Caribbean community . • 5. Badaracco s Moral Flexibility Badaracco introduces the concept of moral flexibility in his observations of the legendary Okonkwo from African literature. As the chief tribal leader of Umuofia, Okonkwo s upbringing causes him to develop the character traits of strength, courage, and perseverance. He holds firmly to his personal convictions and the traditions of Umuofia. However, Okonkwo s failures reveal his true moral code after he beats one of his wives and lies about it during the Week of Peace. Rather than adapting his convictions to the concerns and values of his community, Okonkwo clung to his traditional values at the cost of his relationships. Towards the end of his life, Okonkwo went into exile while Umuofia embraced the change and influence of Westerners. Finally, Okonkwo commits the greatest act of cowardice as a leader and kills himself.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As Badaracco describes, a moral code must supersede personal convictions and adapt to the convictions and needs of the community. The opposition between Badaracco s moral flexibility and Kouzes and Posner s integrity of values is the primary determinant of moral values. The idea of moral flexibility is based on the external environment. In this situation, the determinant of a person s values is the environment and community a person finds him or herself in. The source of a moral code, according to moral flexibility, is not a set of unchanging principles, but harmony with the ever changing environment and the universal values of human dignity, love, and goodwill. On the other hand, the integrity of values is based on an internalized foundation of values. The determinant of these values is the individual s personal convictions based on unchanging ... Program Evaluation and Review Technique Article PROGRAM EVALUATION AND REVIEW TECHNIQUE (PERT) Category: Planning / Monitoring Control ABSTRACT Program (Project) Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT)(G) is a project management tool used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks within a project. It is basically a method to analyze the tasks involved in completing a given project, especially the time needed to complete each task, and to identify the minimum time needed to complete the total project. PERT planning involves the following steps: пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® пЃ® Identify the specific activities and milestones. Determine the proper sequence of the activities. Construct a network diagram. The critical path is determined by adding the times for the activities in each sequence and determining the longest path in the project. The critical path determines the total calendar time required for the project. If activities outside the critical path speed up oe slow down (within limits), the total project time does not change. The amount of time that a non critical path activity can be delayed without the project is referred to as a slack time. If the critical path is not immediately obvious, it may be helpful to determine the following four quantities foe each activity: ES Earliest Start time EF Earliest Finish time LS Latest Start time LF Latest Finish time These times are calculated using the expected time for the relevant activities. The earliest start and finish times of each activity are determined by working forward through the network and determining the earliest time at which an activity can start and finish considering its predecessors activities. The latest start and finish times are the latest times that an activity can start and finish without delaying the project. LS and LF are found by working backward through the network. The difference in the latest and earliest finish of each activity is that activity s slack. The critical path then is the path through the network in which none of the activities have slack. The variance in the project completion time can be calculated by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Isopropyl Alcohol can kill 99.99% of all non spore forming bacteria types in under 30 seconds. In a large clinical study in 2004 a test showed that placing hand sanitizer dispensers in an office resulted in a 21% reduction in absences. In schools the test showed 51% less of absences, and 43% in college dormitories. The standard for hand sanitisers used in clinics and hospitals is a alcohol concentration of at least 70% but in U.S. stores hand sanitisers that have as low as 40% concentrations are available. In the food industry workers are not allowed to use only alcohol antiseptics. Certain spore forming bacteria, especially the endospores of gram positive bacteria are usually resistant to hand sanitizers as well as soap and water but are visible in spore formation. Gram positive bacteria is impenetrable to sanitizers because of its thick and well built plasma membrane which is thicker than most viruses and fungus cell s membranes. This attribute gives great difficulty to alcohol antiseptics and is hard to destroy the proteins inside the cell because of the thick wall. Most alcohol based sanitizers are effective against most viruses and funguses better than simply hand washing with soap. Argumentative Essay On Jayber Crow Mahogany Professor Argumentative Essay 1 December 2017 Jayber Crow Slowly, patiently, the observer becomes the participant; a cub hunting for its first meal. Have you ever come across a friend like this? This friend often being reserved and standoffish then turning into a pariah? Jonah Crow, an orphan at the age of ten grew up in the face of adversity he knew the feelings of loneliness and want; seeing as his mother, father, aunt and uncle died leaving him helpless at an orphanage in the town of Port William, Kentucky. This is a book about Heaven, or the fact that Jayber could actually be living in a hell where the participants fail to love one another, where they hate and destroy the objects and people they love, everything done is done ... He was intermittent, always moving frantically from task to task, building his empire purely on money, which entirely meant an empire built on his debt, which, again, means an empire built on accountability which Troy was not. An agribusinessman is a person who works in or manages an agricultural business. During the time Jayber Crow existed agriculture was all the rage. Family farms made up 40% of the American workforce. Readers could see why family farming was so important. So why would people want to bring in top gun machinery and ruin the land for future crops? For money and growth of themselves, not for the farming industry because in the late 1900s farming dropped from 40% to a glum 4.6%. Agribusiness arrives and begins to slowly tear apart small farms in Jayber Crow s world. Even in today s society big businesses tower in our economy. It seems that agriculture is not given any thought when it comes to making a profit and this tremendous defect in humans is another reason people can not live just to please and benefit themselves. People who live to help people and become saints of the land and vow to protect it are the people who made the land last. Mattie Keith, Troy Chatham s wife is an example of giving with no purpose to receive unlike big agribusiness men. Jayber several times throughout the novel expresses his great love for Mattie but what strikes Jayber like a is the fear that he and Troy are the same man ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I agree with his statement; fast foods and frozen foods are slowly killing people s taste buds. Fast and frozen foods leaves our taste buds blind towards true flavor of homemade meals. People need to stop eatingfoods that are not freshly cooked, and they should start eating foods that are freshly made with rich seasonings. The problem is that people do not take the time to realize that fast and frozen foods are causing them to become blind to the taste of cooked traditional homemade dinners. Americans have to wake up, open their eyes, and spend more time making homemade foods to enjoy the true meaning of flavor. There has been many disbeliefs about donating your organs over the years. The organ demand drastically exceeds the available supply, which is why more people need to be organ donors. The opt out policy would allow you to donate your organs regardless of your family members saying no when approached upon your death. An opt out policy is not the only thing that we can do to help increase the number of available organs. Despite the fact it is illegal to sell organs, to help increase the numbers of donors, some states are offering to pay the family indirectly. This 1950 classic is a staple in the book of Billy Wilder s film making genius. Directed and written in part by Wilder, this film not only utilized Billy s classic comedy noir charm, but paired him with the incredible John Seitz, and Franz Waxman. William Holden and Gloria Swansondo a marvelous job at capturing the depth of their characters, and embody the style of everything that makes 50 s Hollywood incredible. But the combination of the three aforementioned men make for a hard hitting behind the scenes team, one that near outshines the actors themselves. This being the only film that Wilder made which focused on film making as a topic in its fictional story arc; he made a few key decisions which made this a great movie. Wilder chose to allow the setting to portray itself. While this may be an obvious choice for a movie about Hollywood, using real locations keeps the setting alive. To illustrate, Major Yu is snakehead general and part of the Scorpia executive board of sabotage and terrorism. Moreover, I predict, based upon various strings of evidence and particular quotes, that Alex will successfully flee from Major Yu s grip and will be in the possession of M16 or possibly the Australian Secret Intelligence Service; both intelligence services in which Alex has served for in the past. This prediction is due to the fact that Major Yu remarks about his condition which is known as osteoporosis. Osteoporosis, more commonly known as brittle bone disease, is a type of infection that influences the bones and joints of an individual. The solubility product constant, or Kв‚›в‚љ, represents the level at which a substance dissolves in a solution at equilibrium. A higher Kв‚›в‚љ value means the more soluble a substance is in a solution. The solubility product constant, similar to solubility, is temperature dependent. When writing the expression for Kв‚›в‚љ solids and liquids do not appear since their concentrations do not change, only aqueous solutions are expressed. If the Ca(OH)в‚‚ was not filtered correctly during the experiment the concentrations of the experiment would be off. If cloudiness still remained in the solute after filtration then the more HCl would have been used to find the solubility of calcium hydroxide. Next, very few boards will voluntarily shake things up at their company, especially if their growth and financials are positive. As a shareholder, you should always be asking questions about a company s performance, even when they are outperforming. Food Wasting In America Essay When I was little I was never able to finish my food, and my mom would always tell me that I should always finish my food because not everybody has a chance to eat. Food wasting in america is well talked about problem with $165 million dollars worth of food is being wasted every year. Food wasting in america can be caused by many things, but three main reasons are overstocking their produce, misconceptions with the due date, and business. Many businesses waste foodespecially by overstocking. In farmer s markets many farmers overstock their crates with produce to have appeal to the buyers. Delaney Zayac gives us an example that if he would have sold more chard if people saw more of it in the crate compared to seeing only some (Last Week Tonight). This is because many people have the assumption that if it s the last one there must be something wrong with it. With that being the case many farmers overstock produce so that it takes away that assumption and people would buy their product. • 44. The Discovery Of North America The discovery of North America sparked a new era of exploration, expansion, and colonization. Many European countries took the opportunity to develop a new territory where they could prosper financially and benefit their home country as much as possible. The trip overseas was strenuous, as was maintaining positive relationships with Native Americans and running a successful colony. Although all European countries who showed interest in establishing territories in the Americashad their own reasons for doing so, some countries did a better job executing their colonizing than others. Britain, France, and Spain were the three most successful countries in terms of colonizing a new land for their country. The Spanish were amongst the best explorers at the time, establishing settlements in Hispaniola and Mexico. They were looking for wealth, power, and to expand their territory. An explorer named Hernan Cortes invaded the massive Native empire of the Aztecs, which was far richer and larger than any town in Spain. When invited into the city, Cortes sought to conquer, enslave and steal from the wealthy city. By forming many alliances with Native tribes who hated the Aztecs, the Spanish overtook the city, showing no mercy towards their enemies. They enslaved those they didn t kill, and disassembled some of the former Aztec pyramids into Christian Cathedrals. Cortes was eventually named governor of Mexico after his victory. • 46. Renaissance And Humanism In The Middle Ages And Renaissance The Middle Ages and Renaissance where microcosms apart in every aspect of human life with the Renaissance literally means awakening or rebirth . In areas of art, tools such as perspective, realism, and individualism showed the great leap in creativity during the Renaissance. Likewise, the worldly individual, or the RenaissanceMan , was an improvement over the ignorant, spiritual man of the middle Ages. Also, the revival of classical learning and education that occurred in the Renaissance was the exact opposite of the suppression of learning during the Middle Ages compared to the renaissance philosophy of humanism that emphasize the potential of individual achievement and stipulating that humans were rational beans capable of truth and goodness. The amount of unique advances made in the Renaissance in all areas cannot be paralleled by the progress set forth during the Middle Ages. So if I had the opportunity to be transferred back in time and I can only choose between the renaissance and the Middle Ages, The renaissance would be my first choice, with such philosophies as humanism, neoclassicism sought to reconcile humanism with Christianity, to blend the teachings of Plato and other ancient philosophers with the teachings of the Church.
