The Seven Wonders of Ancient World Essay
There are seven most remarkable structures of ancient times and I m going to write about four out of
the seven. The statue of Zeus, which was created in 432 B.C., by Phidius, the lighthouse Of
Alexandria that was created by Sostratus in 290 B.C. and took 20 years to complete. The Temple of
Artemis at Ephesus that was first created in 800 B.C. by Croesus and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
that was built around 353 and 350 B.C. These are only four out of the seven wonders I will be writing
about who commissioned and created each one of them. How they were built, where they were
located, when was it constructed, why they were considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient
world and what happened to them. The Statue of Zeus, which was ... Show more content on

The Lighthouse of Alexandria was located in Alexandria, Egypt the Pharos was actually located on the
tiny limestone island that sat in front of the harbor, it was built on the island of Pharos, to help guide
trade ships into the harbor at Alexandria (Woods). The Lighthouse was constructed in 290 BC and
took 20 years to complete, it also was the first lighthouse as well as the tallest building in the world at
the time, except for the Great Pyramid and that is also why it was considered one of the seven
wonders of the ancient world. The Lighthouse stood and used until 2 earthquakes, in 1303 and 1323,
reduced it to rubble. In 1994, underwater archaeologists located some of the remains of the lighthouse
in the Alexandrian Harbor, and more have recently been located using remote imaging. Some remains
of the Pharos were also used in the construction of Fort Qaitbey in the 15th century (Curlee), which
stands on the very same spot today. Cherisiphron commissioned the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and
also known as the temple of Diana, along with his son Metagenes who were from Crete (Curlee).
There is an extensive history behind the temple of Artemis at Ephesus. It was built three times before
the temple was destroyed for good and never to be rebuilt in 401 A.D. By St John Chrysostom, now a

Chief In One Flew Over The Cuckoo s Nest
From the beginning of the novel, Chief establishes a trustworthy rapport by showcasing his apparently
coherent state of mind. Chief discloses to us the state of the ward and that he often cannot differentiate
between reality and not; However, what he explains is the irrefutable truth only it s his version of the
truth. They don t bother talking about their hate secrets...because they think I m deaf and dumb
(Kesey, 3). Although neither deaf nor dumb, Chief has tricked the whole ward into believing he is, and
as such demonstrates that he has a grip on reality and is able to distinguish when to keep his act up.
Chief is able to shows u that he is able to differentiate his own hallucinations and reality to some

McMurphy keeps the fog at bay from Chief and prevents him from being submerged in it again. Chief
is no longer subjugated to the complete control of Ratched due to McMurphy s therapy in helping
wean Chief off Ratched, thus allowing Chief to stay conscious of the events around him. On the way
to the fishing trip, McMurphy talks his way out of any situation that could be a possible roadblock
against their trip, such as the gas fillers that question the sanity/credibility of the patients as a whole
even showing the patients that acting crazy and lunatic can be to their benefit (Kesey, 239). By acting
crazy, the patients are no longer restrained by the unnerving sense of uncertainity about everything
and are able to set loose all the subdued emotions. Seeing this, Chief lets loose as he can finally be
himself around McMurphy, something that he hasn t been able to do for a long time. Not only Chief,
but all the patients gain a sense of confidence, something that Ratched had tried to suppress in order to
maintain ultimate control and prolong their stay at the ward. Because of McMurphy s constant
challenging of control of the ward through various staged rebellions , Ratched orders a thorough
cleaning of the patients after their fishing excursion, and George Sorensen, one of the patients, has
germaphobia. When one of the aides forced salve, a thick, black, cleaning solution onto George s
body, Knowing the mental suffering that George goes through when else touches him, McMurphy
engages in an altercation with the aides for furthering the mental problems George has even though it
is under the authorization of Ratched. Chief follows suit and both are sent up to the Disturbed ward
(274 5). By Chief s entering into the fight, Chief acts as the walk in McMurphy s talk. Chief is

The Healthful Benefits of Gratitude Essay example
Gratitude has become defined as deeply appreciative attitude for kindnesses or benefits acquired.
Several parts of gratitude have been identified. First, a person experiences a warm sense of
appreciation toward an individual who performs a generous or desired kind act. Second, appreciation
and kindness are expressed toward the person who completed the desired act. Finally, the person to
whom appreciation is expressed, sensing the goodwill, is inclined to act positively and/or
appreciatively toward the individual expressing gratitude. Gratitude is often interactive and also seems
to have the capacity to enhance the sense of well being and goodwill among individuals and groups
throughout an institution. Grateful individuals show higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

In this research, Danner, Snowden, and Friesen (Danner, DEBBIE. D., D. Snowden, and W. V.
Friesen) discovered a significant inverse relationship between your positive emotional content in
handwritten autobiographies of 180 Catholic nuns (at the average age of 22) and the risk of death later
through life (ages 75 to 95). Having a grateful attitude is a lot more than just saying thank you on
occasion. Grateful people show far more intensity around some positive event than do less
appreciative folks. Over time, individuals with a higher outlook for gratitude oftener express grateful
behavior than individuals inclined to be less thankful. Grateful people have a broader span of life
events, or more life circumstances, for which they are thankful, such as spouse and children, job,
health, and even life itself. Dr. Robert Emmons on the University of California at Davis has been
studying gratitude for nearly ten years and is considered by many to be this world s leading authority
on gratitude. He s the author of all the book, The information in this book is based on research
involving thousands of people conducted by several unique researchers around the world. One of the
things these reports show is that practicing gratitude can increase happiness levels as a result of
around 25%. This is significant, among other things, because as there s a certain weight that feels

Theme Of Identity In Twelfth Night
In the play Twelfth Night, Shakespeare delves into the concept of personal identity through his
exploration of the character Viola. After discovering that her twin brother is dead after a boat wreck,
Viola decides to reshape her identity in the new country she is in. She hides her maiden clothes with
the sea captain and takes on the name Cesario. By taking on a new name, and not the name of her
brother Sebastian, Viola is not miming her twin, but instead forming a male identity of her own. As
Viola makes new acquaintances under the identity Cesario, she alludes to the trickery in her identity, I
am not that I play (1.5 175). Viola controls her own identity and since she knows that biologically she
is not a man, she can hint at her biological identity accordingly. She shapes her identity by deciding
how she wants to be viewed by others. When Olivia, the countess in the play who forms a liking to
Cesario, asks Viola What are you? (I.5 204), Viola responds What I am, and what I would, are as
secret as maidenhead (I.5 207 8). Again, Viola admits that her identity is a secret and that she is not
who she appears to be. Throughout the play Viola is implying her identity is a false one, however, the
other characters in the play do not pick up on this trick. The concept of forming one s personal identity
is also influenced by others perspectives. Viola may try and refer that she is not who she is, but the
other characters in the play have already shaped their perspectives of

Strengths Of Toyota
For my analysis, I chose Toyota which is the second biggest car company following Volkswagen. It is
known to be really competitive and sold in many places around the world.
Toyota has many strengths. It has a strong global position and cars manufactured by Toyota have been
sold in many places in the world. It sold 9.7 million cars and trucks, and had 45.5% of the market
share in Japan in 2012. It has a market share of 12.2% in North America, 13.4% in Asia and 4.3% in
Europe. (Anon, 2015) Such strong global position is because of company s high quality products and
strong brand recognition with its well known environmental friendliness, durability, social

It has conducted a numerous number of vehicle recalls over the last few years, which affected its
brand image and its financial performance. For instance, during 2009 and 2010, more than 9 million
Toyota and Lexus vehicles were recalled due to the wrong floor mats installed that were interfering
with the gas pedal, and the firm suspended production and sales. In 2011, 111,000 vehicles from
Toyota and Lexus were again recalled due to the damage to the element of the substrate shutdown of
hybrid system. And later in the year, Toyota announced to recall 181,000 vehicles due to the non
ordinary noise and oil leakage, which have resulted from the bolts that were loosely attached.
(MacKenzie, 2015) Beside these recalls, there have been lawsuits for vehicle failure. Toyota has a
lower return on equity (13.9%) and return on asset (4.9%) than other auto companies such as Honda
and Nissan. If you compare Toyota and Honda, you can tell that asset turnover ratio for Nissan is 81%,
while Toyota only has 60%. (Basu, 2015) This shows that Honda is using its asset more efficiently to
make profits. Lower return on equity and asset shows that Toyota is not generating much returns for
its shareholders compared to other companies and inefficient use of shareholders

Challenges And Opportunities For Product Managers
Never in history has there been more challenges and opportunities for product managers bringing new
and innovative products to the marketplace. However, competitive pressures in the form of economic
and global shifts have made it more difficult for product managers to respond to increased customer
demands and infidelity. Many product managers are asking; Are we building the right products with
the right features? Which features or technologies should I invest in or which features should we
cease? What should I end of life, and how can I better serve my end user customers? All of these
questions, while not new, are more complicated due to advances in technology, changes in lifestyles,
increased trade and tariffs, as well as shifts in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Above and beyond technology expertise, product managers must maximize their limited budgets and
resources from the start to ensure they have the tools to be successful. Many organizations are turning
to design manufacturers like Jabil to enable their business to decrease production costs, increase
capacity, and achieve economies of scale they cannot attain themselves. Thereby reducing overall risk
and to ensure they can meet agreed upon NPI (new production introduction) schedules and quality
standards. Product managers must do more with less, be more informed about the markets and
technology they serve, and most importantly become resourceful with both internal and external
resources they engage to bring their products to market. There are many reasons to work with a design
manufacturer, and each are definitely not created equally. Below are the top reasons product managers
should consider working with a to design manufacturer that has the expertise, scale, and history to
ensure success: 1. End to end insight into the supply chain One of the key differentiators top design
manufacturers leverage is their ability to have visibility and insight into all aspects of the supply chain,
especially when manufacturing goes global. This visibility helps companies to understand their
products demand, inventories, service parts management, and the products overall viability. Finally,
when choosing a design

The Murderer-Personal Narrative
It was a cold grey day in late November. The weather had changed overnight, when a backing wind
brought a granite sky and a mizzling rain with it, and although it was now only a little after two o
clock in the afternoon the pallor of a winter evening seemed to have closed upon the hills, cloaking
them in mist. It would be dark by four. The air was clammy cold, and for all the tightly closed
windows it penetrated the interior of the coach. The leather seats felt damp to the hands, and there
must have been a small crack in the roof, because now and again little drips of rain fell softly through,
smudging the leather and leaving a dark blue stain like a splodge of ink. The wind came in gusts, at
times shaking the coach as it travelled round the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

reproaches was carried away in the wind, for the old fellow, after waiting a moment, put up the

his corner, wrapped his blanket about his knees and muttered in his beard. His nearest neighbour, a
jovial, red faced woman in a blue cloak, sighed heavily, in sympathy, and, with a wink to anyone who
might be looking and a jerk of her head towards the old man, she remarked for at least the twentieth
time that it was the dirtiest night she ever remembered, and she had known some; that it was proper
old weather and no mistaking it for summer this time; and, burrowing into the depths of a large basket,
she brought out a great hunk of cake and plunged into it with strong white teeth. Mary Yellan sat in the

The History of Jews in the United States of America.
Why and when did they migrate?
The history of Jews in the United States of America is a long and arduous one. This relationship began
in the first week of September 1654, when 23 Jewish immigrants landed at New Amsterdam, the
Dutch colony ( Now known as Manhattan), and was immediacy ask to leave by the then governor

The second wave, the Eastern Europe migration took place (1881 1924),this saw many Jews migrating
from Russia and its territories due to the political persecution that they received after the assassination
of, Czar Alexander II In 1881 for which the Jews were blamed , This lead to the deterioration of living
and working conditions for the Jews. Following the assassination, mass rebellions broke out and the
situation in Russia became anarchic and chaotic for everyone. Pogroms broke out everywhere, mainly
in the form of looting; some murders and rapes were also committed. Decades of persecution against
the Jewish population followed. This upheaval of anti Semitism coupled with deplorable economic
conditions was the reason 2 millions of Jews from Eastern Europe came to the USA
In addition laws were passed that punished the Jews for the pogroms. This led to restrictions on
Jewish landownership, prohibited Jews from living in villages, and the number of Jews studying in
secular schools was limited to 10% in the Pale of Settlement and 3 5% everywhere else. These laws
were strictly applied by the police, which lead to the Jews being embittered to the Russian society.
Subsequently In 1891, Jews were systemically expelled from Moscow in 1891

Photographic Images Hanging On The Gallery Wall

Photographic Art Images.
There are many books, fine art prints, articles in journals and magazines about architectural
photography by some excellent photographers, emphasising architecture s visual strength, design and
conceptual quality, without which there would be no challenges for the photographer to attempt to
capture in the first instance. Architectural photography has an immense capacity to stimulate the
wonder of the man made world in a virtuoso manner. The intrinsic worth of a successful work of
decorative art photography is that it can open up new perceptions. Through photography buildings
exude a visual charge and imaginative possibilities beyond their everyday functions, giving the viewer
an interesting and engaging ocular experience, and a visual understanding of the world.
The picture hanging on the gallery wall leaves itself wide open to scrutiny, criticism or study but
ultimately invites, with visual intrigue the aesthetic pleasure and satisfaction, which the viewer derives
from sensory involvement of the image before them.

Thesis About Music Shaming
Music Shaming: leave it all behind By Huang Cheau Ning The judging comments came in batches,

What kind of music do you like? is the question that always send Teo into a state of panic when
someone ask about her music choice. Music shaming is an act of criticizing someone music
preferences that different from their own, and make them feel like they should be ashamed by what
they enjoy. It s a problem that most of the people don t even realised, but it happens all the time as
everyone does it to some degree. It might sound exaggerated, it s very much a real issue that faced by

criticism. It appears that music shaming comes from a person inherent need to make them feel
superior to another. I really enjoy pop music especially listening to Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber s
songs. I don t know why they get so much hate, but putting aside their living lifestyle, they actually

The World s Biggest Trader
Introduction Accounting for 20 percent of global imports and exports, the European Union (EU) is the
world s biggest trader. This should not come as a surprise because free trade among its members is one
of the founding principles of the EU. With trade policy being in the exclusive jurisdiction of the EU,
this creates new market opportunities for European exporters, workers and investors. The creation of
this global market also creates the need for the EU to protect the interest of its 28 members from
serious injury by resolving trade issues that go far beyond tariffs. The Safeguards Agreement (SG
Agreement) sets forth the rules for application of Safeguard measures pursuant to Article XIX of the
Global Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994. These measures are temporary, emergency
actions resulting in import restrictions that a country is allowed to impose on a product if imports of
that product are or have the potentiality to cause a serious injury to a domestic injury of a directly
competitive product. Safeguards are one of three types of contingent trade protection measures, along
with anti dumping and countervailing measures, available to WTO Members. Imagine Company X,
who exports sneakers to a country Y. If country X imports sneakers in numbers in such ways that it
affects the level of sales for the domestic producer of sneakers in Country Y. Country Y may consider
implementing a raise in tariffs on sneakers so that Country Y s domestic producers may keep

Risk Factors Leading For Blood Myeloid Dendritic Cells
risk factors such as tobacco smoking, male gender, race/ethnicity, stress, and aging. As an example,
Carrion et al. (2012), proposed a role for blood myeloid dendritic cells in sheltering and circulating
pathogens from the subgingival microbial biofilm in the periodontal pocket which are then transported
to atheromatous plaques lining coronary and other arteries. This and other pathways may play a role in
providing key signals for myeloid dendritic cell differentiation and atherogenic changes (39).
However, in recent years, the host response, rather than periodontopathogens, seems to be the primary
focus for elucidating the link between periodontal disease and CVD. Of particular interest, when pro

This hypothesis links inflammatory periodontal disease to CVD, such as atherosclerosis, without
necessarily invoking bacteria or their products interacting with the cardiovascular system (38). In this
regard Craig et al. (2003) found that the patients with severe rapidly progressing periodontitis showed
a 100% higher hs CRP level in the circulation (plus other biomarkers) than patients with mild
periodontitis (37). Regarding mechanisms, CRP can form a complex with oxidized low density
lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol which, when phagocytosed by macrophages infiltrating
atheroscleromatous plaques, can differentiate into foam cells (52). The production of MMPs, for
instance MMP 8 (collagenase 2) and MMP 9 (gelatinase B), by these modified inflammatory cells, can
destroy the thin collagen cap that covers cholesterol rich plaques lining the coronary arteries leading to
plaque rupture, thrombosis, and acute myocardial infarction (53 55).
3.2. Diabetes
Many studies in the literature have linked periodontitis and both type I and type II diabetes
(17,30,56,57). Diabetes mellitus is characterized by hyperglycemia which historically has been the
main diagnostic feature of the disease. Long term hyperglycemia produces a range of

Chase Andrew Miner Research Paper
It s a boy!! That s what the doctor said when I was born. I was born in Decatur County Hospital in

special moment and not just for my family, but the county. The reason for that was because I was the
millennial baby for Decatur County. There were many people who had known the name Chase
Andrew Miner. I was given the name Chase Andrew Miner. My mom had liked the name Chase and
Chance, but she finally decided on Chase. While that decision wasn t too hard for her to make, (at
least she said it wasn t) my last name, Miner, was an even easier decision. My mom was married to
my dad and she took his last name, so the obvious last name would be Miner. My mom told me she
had a really difficult time figuring out a middle name for me. She couldn t find a name that fit in well.
One day my aunt, Lori, called my mom and asked about the name Andrew. My mom had thought
about it and she decided that that name fit. So from that day I was Chase Andrew Miner. The joke my

poking into the deep parts of my mind that even I hadn t explored. Who are they to do that, right?
They haven t earned anything. They get paid a hundred dollars an hour just to tell me that, oh, yes, this

Analysis Of The West In My Antonia
The Frontier
(An analysis of the west) My Antonia is a novel about the frontier. It is set in the early 1900 s and is
about what happened during this time. Nebraska is the state My Antonia is set in, but most of the
novel goes for a lot of the states in the west. According to Kathleen Norris, Cather had the great good
fortune to have lived among the first generation of white settlers in 1880s Nebraska, and she gives
witness to their time and place in such a way that American literature will never forget them (Norris).

The environment is very important to do with the way people lived. The environment includes the
weather they had their and the condition of the soil. They considered the area a vast treeless wasteland
(Settlers). This quote shows that it didn t have many trees which made the weather worse because
there were no trees to stop the blizzards and storms. The book has a great example of this, All day the
storm went on. The snow did not fall this time, it simply spilled out of heaven, like thousands of
featherbeds being emptied. This shows that it doesn t just fall it pours out, almost like a rain storm.
Many saved up their food for the winter, so they didn t have to go outside as much. They still had to
take care of their fields and such, but they mostly stayed inside. In anyone s life their environment is
vital to how they turn out in life and how they act around others. Although it can t decide for he or she,
it can lead to a certain way of living. The environment in the west leads most of the people that live
there to be hard workers and they are also not as affectionate

The Representation of Children in the Media Essay
The Representation of Children in the Media
I am writing about how children are represented in the media, after a group investigation carried out to
see how they are portrayed in different papers; local newspapers, tabloids and broadsheets. We were
looking to see if newspapers showed positive or negative images of children and how they portrayed
them in general.
In local papers there are usually articles of local news from around the area, items for sale and
advertisements. Local papers highlight local stories and issues. Local papers usually have the scores or
information about local teams in the sport section. The local papers are distributed to a specific area
and usually contain news about ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You often get emotional views of people s life, if sometimes good or bad has happened to a famous
person. You also get a biography or diary about someone s life and how they lived, mostly successful
people or important people who have died. Tabloids do tend to run sensational emotional stories.
Broadsheets are similar to tabloids, but most of the broadsheets present a more balanced view of the
news. They fund to be not as sensational and more factual and informative.
Local papers have more pictures then any other kind of paper, they have more pictures of children,
and the readers are able to see children of their own or children that they know of. In the most positive
pictures you see children achieving or being brilliant. In some pictures you will see children as
victims, but often they will have happy endings. They also show brave little angels that have helped
their community and someone shown as accessories to local heroes or famous people e.g. David
Beckham and his son s Brooklyn and Romeo.
Tabloids often don t have many pictures of children, and it is unusual to see a child achieving
something in a tabloid. The international stories are often extreme and very emotive. The children are
either devils or angels. Tabloids are biased and

At this point my friend declared that she plus her four children all absolutely hated the kitchen area

The Effect Of Inverse Square Law On A Beam Of X Ray Photons
Experiment 1
Introduction:
The aim of this experiment is to investigate the effect of the inverse square law on a beam of x ray
photons. The inverse square law states that the intensity of an x ray beam is inversely proportional to
the square of the distance (Ball, J.L., Moore, A.D. and Turner, S., 2008). Similar triangles (Appendix
A Image 1) are a proof of the inverse square law as it shows that if the distance from the beam is
doubled, the intensity falls to one quarter of its original value. If it is trebled the intensity falls to one
ninth and at four times the distance it is one sixteenth its value, etc (Holmes, K., Elkington, M. and
Harris P., 2013). The formula used to calculate this is:
This law only applies if the radiation is from a point source, the radiation of the beam is homogenous
(the photons must all have the same energy) and if there is no attenuation between the source of
radiation and the detector (Holmes, K., Elkington, M. and Harris P., 2013). However, the x ray beam
cannot satisfy these three conditions of the inverse square law. This is because the x rays produced are
not emitted from a true point source as the focal spot has a finite size. They are not emitted equally in
all directions as the anode heel effect causes the intensity to vary across the beam and the absorption
and scattering of the x ray beam occur as it passes through the air (Graham, D., Cloke, P. and Vosper,
M., 2012). Despite this, the inverse square law can still be applied

Definition Of Image Quality Of Digital Imaging
CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION
1.1. Background
1.1.1. Limits to image quality
Digital imaging systems have a lot of applications including digital photography for recreational and
commercial purposes, electronic surveillance, satellite imaging and ground based geographic
information systems, medical imaging systems like computed tomography (CT) and magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI), forensics and even particle physics.
In many applications of digital imaging, a high quality image is required to allow human interpretation
or machine perception. Image quality is defined in terms of spatial resolution, pixel resolution,
temporal resolution and spectral resolution. For our application, we are interested in spatial resolution.
Spatial resolution is measured in terms of pixel density and refers to the number of pixels used per
unit area to construct the image. It defines the minimum separation distance for 2 features in the
original scene for them to be distinguishable. Spatial resolution is determined by the density of
imaging sensors. Imaging sensors are charge coupled devices (CCD) or CMOS active pixel sensors,
arranged in a two dimensional array. The higher the sensor density, the higher the spatial resolution.
Higher sensor density can be achieved either by reducing the sensor size or increasing the size of the
chip carrying the sensors. Increasing the pixel density is limited by:
1. Reducing the size of sensors results in less light falling on the sensors, thus generating shot

Chouinard Equipment Case Study
Chouinard Equipment, an outdoor gear and climbing equipment company, was founded by Yvon
Chouinard, a mountaineer that went into the business of running stores not necessarily for profit but
for the environment (Cortina, 2017). The Patagonia labeled was first created in 1973 (Cortina, 2017).
Patagonia committed to donating to environmental groups. Since 1985, the company has made $79
million (Cortina, 2017). The values of Patagonia s brand are to tell people what the company stands
for. The elements of the Patagonia s environmental philosophy are to: lead an examined life, clean up
the environment through environmental assessment program, do the penance of the organization,
support civil democracy, do good and to influence other companies. Chouinard business was like no
other business. The culture of this organization is built for the people of the organization. The culture
of the organization encourages employees to enjoy life, if employees can maintain a suitable
atmosphere. This company allows employees to be individuals without strict stipulations. Patagonia s
business incentive makes sure employees have time to pursue sports and try out new gear (Farrell,
Hirts Farrell, 2009). The organization also offers free yoga, organic café, free scooters and skateboards
and hiking trails (Schulte, 2014). Because of the great incentives, turnover at Chouinard is minimal
and employees are loyal to this organization (Schulte, 2014). Patagonia pampers its works while
making a profit. This organization is not built upon values that devalue associates or deprive
associates of personal life. Associates are allowed to do the things that are loved while making a
difference in the environment. This is an organization that puts family in its priorities and is one of the
first companies in America to offer on site child care (Schulte, 2014). By doing so the organizations is
doing something for employees that is accessible for families. Child care today is so expensive and it
also time consuming for many. On a daily basis, trying to get kids to and from daycare requires too

the richest countries in the importance it gives to its culture and heritage. Marriage forms an important

This would justify parents wanting to choose a spouse for their children, especially for the daughters

Coming back to the freedom to marry out of choice, even in A Stench of Kerosene , written by Amrita

although Guleri liked Manak, the decision of marriage was not hers and Manak would have to ask her

1. The first way in which this patient s fluid balance is altered is by the presence of vomiting noted by
the emergency department. Vomiting can cause a significant loss of electrolytes as well. The patient
also has a fever of 102.3, which has probably caused some heat release by sweating leading to fluid
loss. The doctor notes the patient is breathing quickly which indicates he may be losing fluid through
hyperventilation. The large quantity of alcohol consumed by this patient also contributes to the
alteration of fluid balance by inhibiting the pituitary gland from secreting anti diuretic hormone

Knowing God by J.I Packer
In this modern day, many people claim to be Christians, but I believe that there is a distinction
between Christians and disciples . Throughout my day, I ve realised that almost any person can call
themselves Christians, but to be called a disciple is completely different. To call yourself a Christian
you carry the gift of salvation with authenticity. A disciple also carries the responsibility of living in
holiness. As scripture shows us in Hebrews 12:14 follow peace with all man, and holiness, without
which no man shall see The Lord. Therefore there are various distinctions between those who claim
they are Christian and those who are truly disciples. One value that the disciple must hold dear to his
life is that he/she should know God, and J.I. packer shows us how to know The Lord by introducing us
to the study of God.
Packer begins his proposal to know God by explaining the study of God and his divinity, which is
theology. He explains that the theory of theology should begin to humble one s mind, which
expanding it. Packer states that he who often thinks of God, will have a larger than the others. This
also implies the distinction on christians and disciples. Packer then introduces five basic, interesting
principles for genuinely knowing God. The first principle is the bible. The bible is Gods word here on
earth, many many times, all the answer we need for any type of afflicting dilemma can be found in
Gods word. I totally agree with J.I. Packer when he

The Importance Of Rape Views
Sometimes it feels like students get the same lectures over and over, ones with the same content, same
lessons, and same takeaways. Understandably, it becomes harder to feel involved in these lectures and
even more difficult to want to change because of one whether that change comes from altering how
you act around others or how you fundamentally react to situations. This is unfortunately very true for
how educators are teaching the student body and faculty about how rape cases are handled and the
preventative and reactive measures in place at Brigham Young University. The instructions have
become tedious, boring, and repetitive. Because of this, students aren t investing in the problem, they

In order to get everyone and anyone invested in learning about how to confront rape, lecturers and
workshops need to begin teaching in ways that engage the listeners, to employ methods that will get
their listeners interested in what they re teaching and to be better prepared. It s easy to agree that you
would rather know how to perform CPR before you re faced with someone who needs it to save their
life and aren t trying to look up a demo on Youtube video while someone s life is in danger. Although
rape is a different scenario completely and I understand that it has far more traumatic consequences
than I could even imagine, but, heaven forbid, if I am ever faced with a situation of sexual assault
either personally or with someone I love I certainly would wish I had known everything about the
policies beforehand. What we need are lecturers who are able to reach us on a more personal level,
who can look us in the eye and grab our attention then help us to have a change in heart, to create a
desire to learn more, to become professionals and advocates of knowledge, especially relating to cases
of sexual assault. Unfortunately, there is still an issue of students who feel like they know

Does Medea Have No Sympathy For Jason Essay
Although we may sympathise with Medea s plight, Jason is worthy of nothing more than our contempt
Do you agree?
Euripides Greek tragedy, Medea follows the feud of the relationship between the protagonist Medea,
and the antagonist, her disloyal husband Jason. Although Jason s actions are unforgiveable, his
decisions to leave Medea did not authorise the actions of revenge that Medea took to guarantee Jason s
complete downfall. Medea s situation of exile that she has been placed in is a result of her lover Jason
s decision to leave her and marry a younger female, as a result of this it helps the reader sympathise
and have remorse with Medea, but does not lead us to approve of her actions of revenge, anger and

In summarizing these suggestions, most of school computers and even the ones at poor urban districts
normally come with Excel. Furthermore, many of teachers if not all have personal computers at home
which they can use to learn and practice with Excel spreadsheets. Even if teachers don t have
computers at home, they could also take advantage of computer resources at the public library (Zhao

are often open all week some of them even on Sundays where the use of the Internet or spreadsheets

development which has a unique role of curriculum development (Staples, Pugach Himes, 2005). On
the other hand, school officials in conjunction with technology leaders who make the decision
regarding how a school will invest in technology would first need a good understanding on how
technology use to boost learning of the curriculum and technology use for productivity (Staples,

Poetry Is Often Used As An Outlet To Express One’S Feelings
Poetry is often used as an outlet to express one s feelings or ideas. Sometimes it is possible to find out
a person s mental state from reading their poetry. Violeta Parra was an artist in many senses including
poetry. In her poem and song Here s to Life , it appears that Parra is celebrating life but may hint at
certain factors in her life such as racism, poverty, exhaustion, mixed emotions, and her love life that
lead to her depression and impending suicide. An ironic tone is established in the poem by the speaker
giving contradictions to the things she is grateful for. The first line of every stanza starts with the
phrase Thanks to the life that has given me so much (1). This phrase alone seems to be genuinely
grateful. The speaker ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is suggested that the speaker may not happy with her life and expresses that with an ironic tone is
when she is talking about being grateful for sounds. The first sounds she talks about are generally
thought of as appealing sounds like crickets and birds. She then goes on and describes loud and
unsettling sounds Hammers, turbines, barking, squalls (14). Very few people would consider these
pleasant sounds and many would avoid hearing them. They also seem to suggest a low income area
that is perhaps near to construction or a factory. I do not know if the speaker is from a place of poverty
but even if she is not, this section appears to be referencing poverty and poverty is reason to make
someone unhappy. Exhaustion is another part of the speaker s life that is that lead to the conclusion
that the speaker was unhappy. This is when she talked about being thankful for walking. She names all
of these cool places to walk such as beaches and mountains. She names places that allude to her
having traveled all over the world and yet she describes her own feet as tired. If one was to describe
their adventures they might say after a long day of walking they were tired but the way the speaker
talks about her tired feet is not that they became tired from walking but that they were always tired.
Tiredness is often considered a symptom of depression. The inability to find energy, even when one
can travel all over the world would

I don t want to worry Dask, but I have no idea what I m doing. I mean, how does a guy even be
boyfriends with another guy?
Lying on my bed, I was trying to read a book we d been assigned for English, but the trouble was, I
kept reading the same paragraph over and over and it still wasn t making sense to me. My mind kept
drifting off to think about him.
We d been together for two weeks, and while it was great to be able to make out with him regularly
and it was awesome to know he liked me a lot, I have to say it felt a little strange too.
With Kelly, she d hug me and I d kiss her when I saw her and we d hold hands sometimes at school.
With Dask, instead of feeling like I should go hold his hand and kiss him on the cheek to greet him

I didn t have a problem with that, but sometimes I wondered if I was meant to do something else too.
Sometimes I d see Clara shooting me dirty looks and I d wonder if I was doing something wrong, or I
d see Dask get a slight crinkle between his brows like he was bothered by something, but it would be
there no longer than a second before it was gone.
I kept forgetting to ask him if anything was wrong because we didn t seem to get enough time together
these days, and when we did, we were all over each other.
I looked down at the book in my hands, Hamlet. What was it with Shakespeare and schools? Even I
could spell better than him. Also, a play is even more difficult to read, for me anyway.
Jo?
My head whipped towards the bedroom door to see Dask there standing in the archway.
My brain went blank for a moment. What was he doing here? I felt like I d conjured him up from
nowhere by thinking about

How Does A Plate Boundary When Earthquakes Occur
Plates, when plates move earthquakes occur, and volcanoes activate. How would you feel if you
constantly had earthquakes and volcanic activity on your face?
How do you think the Jalisco block feels? There are two types of plate boundaries that causes volcanic
and earthquake activity and as a scientist I was determined to find out. The boundary could be either
divergent or convergent. Divergent is when the boundary is moving the plates apart and soft, solid
rock will fill the gap forming a mid ocean ridge. A convergent boundary is when a plate boundary
brings plates closer to each other and create a trench. I think the cause of all this activity is caused by a
divergent boundary and I can prove it. Divergent movement of the Jalisco block away

Analysis Of Nino Ricci s Lives Of The Saints
In Nino Ricci s Lives of the Saints, Vittorio s grandfather, Lu Podesta, has a high reputation as the
mayor of Valle del Sole. He behaves like a holy catholic like everyone else, especially he sits on the
front pews every single week in church. However, he despises what Cristina has done. Firstly, he
resigns as a mayor for saving his own daughter. Last but not least, he isolated himself from the village
including his family.
First of all, Lu Podesta resigns from mayor because his daughter is being accused of having an affair.
For instance, It s not for an old cripple like me to be involved in politics, he d said. There are plenty of
young men anxious to take my place. Let one of them step forward (Ricci, 70). It seems he wants to

Comparing Descartes And Skepticism
This essay will analyse the relation between Descartes ad scepticism and I will argue that he is not a
philosophical sceptic. Firstly, philosophical scepticism is questioning whether any knowledge can be
known with certainty. Descartes was doubtlessly sceptical of whether the things he knew were certain
or not, he wants to find a foundation of knowledge that is so certain that it can dismiss the doubts of
the strongest scepticism. He believes that we acquire most our knowledge through our sense
perception, however, he argues that our senses are not error proof and therefore he doubts his entire
foundation of knowledge. He further proves his argument by saying that when we are dreaming we are
not aware that this is not our reality so what is there to stop us from thinking that the experiences we
re having now are not reliable. Furthermore, he gives the example of things we know through intellect
such as Arithmetic and Geometry, and he poses this argument by ... Show more content on

He uses another argumentative device to disproof the credibility of the knowledge we acquire through
intellect of an all powerful demon that employs his whole energies in deceiving him. Yet, he says that
god is ultimately good, so He is not going to deceive human kind, but it is possible that contrary to his
goodness He did allow him to be deceived by this evil genius; coming to the conclusion with this that
he doubts having a body or any senses yet acknledging that he falsely believes he does because of this
evil genius. This is how he ends he first meditation; with lack of certainty where the knowledge that is
acquired by senses are doubted through his dream argument while knowledge acquired through
intellect are doubted by the demon argument. In his second meditation, Descartes has come to find the
one foundational belief that he is certain of and that was that he was doubting, this

Google SketchUp offers some great tools to use, and you can visit various websites showing tiny
home designs in order to inspire your creativity.
Speak with an Engineer
When you are planning to make extensive modifications to the structure of your shipping container, it
can jeopardize the integrity of the entire unit. By consulting with a qualified engineer, you can avoid
these risks. It is well worth the investment to pose these questions to an expert beforehand, rather than
having major problems arise down the line that could make then entire structure unsafe for humans.
Buy Your Containers
Since you have the design figured out, and have the safety of it verified by a professional, you are
ready for the next step, which is to purchase the containers. Depending upon where you purchase
them, this could take a few days or several months.
You should be aware that used containers have held unknown contents that may have seeped
contaminants into the structure. Of course, these are easier to find and are potentially more affordable
than new ones.
You can use the Internet to locate containers that are already available in your area. If possible, inspect
them before purchase. This is especially vital for used containers, which may have suffered damage
during their previous use.
Construct the Foundation
While waiting for the containers to arrive, you can begin placing the foundation. Depending upon the
size and scope

Compare and Contrast Brutus and Macbeth
Brutus vs. Macbeth through Power, Ambition, and Honor Absolute power corrupts absolutely, unless
one knows how to use it, it shall not corrupt. Everyone has ambitions, a strong desire of achieving
great things, and some will do whatever it takes to achieve their goal. Honor is a title one receives
through their noble acts; but some honorable and strongly ambitious people may go as far as to give
up their noble title to accomplish their purpose. William Shakespeare is a well known English poet
and playwright, a big participant in creating the English language. Among his twelve tragedies, two
has very similar plot and tragic heroes. The play Julius Caesar is about a noble, honorable, and trusted
man named Brutus, who killed his friend and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It must be by his death; and for my part,/ I know no personal cause to spurn at him,/ but for the
general. (Julius Caesar, II.i.10 12). Brutus has no other reason to kill Caesar than for the greater good
of Rome, whereas Macbeth killed more than three people for his own benefit. Macbeth first kills
Duncan to become king; then Banquo and his son to make sure that they shall not be kings, but
unfortunately for him, Fleance escaped; and finally Macduff s family, though he was mainly aiming
for Macduff himself. The heroes ambitious deed also led them to lose everything. Aforementioned,
Brutus only killed Caesar for the good of Rome. However, in allowing Mark Anthony to speak at
Caesar s funeral, Brutus made himself and the conspirators the most hated people in Rome. To have
the citizens despise him was not what Brutus had planned, therefore he has lost half of what he had
admiration from the people, the meaning of his life. To make matters worse, Portia, Brutus s noble
wife, killed herself by swallowing coal. It is not known if Brutus had other family members, therefore
it can safely be concluded that he had lost everything, his fame and wife. Macbeth falls in a similar
matter, first losing his friend and relative Duncan; then his comrade in the field, Banquo; his wife; and
most importantly himself. For killing countless people, Macbeth s guilt slowly builds in him, and at
his end, was exposed in the

Helping Interaction
This 15 minute helping interaction gave me a real experience of being a therapist, making me learn
more about myself through helping interaction and deeply understand how to be an empathic therapist.
This experience gave me opportunities to explore myself and my inner world. I never realized before
that I am a highly emotional person. Being an emotional person is not a bad thing; however, being a
highly emotional person makes me very sensitive to everyone and everything. During the process of
helping my partner with her issue of smoking, I tried to use great manner to build a trust and
respectful relationship with her. However, when I did not get positive responses from her as I
expected, I felt very upset. Also, I felt bad and uncomfortable when my helper told me what I did
wrong and what I needed to fix. In the whole helping session, I gave many emotional responses to my

I found that I need to make improvements in many respects. First, I need to improve my opening
statement to make it more clearly and smoothly and give my client an open question to encourage her
to talk about her issue. Moreover, I need to make an improvement on identifying specific emotions
that clients are feeling. In this session, I failed to use feeling vocabulary to reflect her feelings and
create an empathic environment. In addition, I need to learn not to let my own experience and
judgement influence the helping process. For example, when my client was talking about how
smoking habit took away her studying time, I was thinking, exactly, bad habits always influence many
students academic performance in a negative way. Although I did not say it, I wanted to say this to
help her feel accepted and understood. This may not what she was thinking, but I was thinking it
because I have experienced it before. To effectively help people explore themselves, I should make an

Why The Hpv E6 Oncoprotein With The Help Of Bioinformatics...
Purpose of the project: The purpose of the project is to understand the HPV E6 oncoprotein with the
help of bioinformatics tools like Rasmol, Blast, ClustalW, Prosite and Palign.
Introduction: Human Papillomavirus commonly called as HPV has been known to cause genital
infections in males and females. It is a DNA virus from the papillomavirus family and one of the most
common virus that are known to cause tumors. There are about more than 120 different viruses but
only about 40 of them are transmitted sexually. HPVs usually infect the mucosal membranes and
different sites in the body like skin, mouth, throat and genitals.
HPVs are divided into two different categories low risk and high risk depending how they behave
overtime. High risk mucosal HPVs are the causative agents of cervical cancers, with HPV16 and
HPV18 being the most common oncogenic types associated with 50% and 20% of the carcinomas
respectively (Bosch et al., 1995). There are two viral protein that causes the degradation of the tumor
suppressor genes; E6 and E7. These two protein work together to cause the tumor by destroying the
host machinery. E6 oncoprotein has the capacity to block apoptosis, changes the function of several
proteins and thereby modifying the signals of the cells. One of the major function of the E6 protein is
to target the p53 (a tumor suppressor protein), it inactivates and recruit the E3 ubiquitin ligase E6AP
(Huibregtse et al., 1991; Scheffner et al., 1993) by binding to a conserved

The statue of Zeus, which was created in 432 B.C., by Phidius, the lighthouse Of Alexandria that was created by Sostratus in 290 B.C. and took 20 years to complete. The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus that was first created in 800 B.C. by Croesus and the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus that was built around 353 and 350 B.C. These are only four out of the seven wonders I will be writing about who commissioned and created each one of them. The Lighthouse of Alexandria was located in Alexandria, Egypt the Pharos was actually located on the tiny limestone island that sat in front of the harbor, it was built on the island of Pharos, to help guide trade ships into the harbor at Alexandria (Woods). The Lighthouse was constructed in 290 BC and took 20 years to complete, it also was the first lighthouse as well as the tallest building in the world at the time, except for the Great Pyramid and that is also why it was considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The Lighthouse stood and used until 2 earthquakes, in 1303 and 1323, reduced it to rubble. In 1994, underwater archaeologists located some of the remains of the lighthouse in the Alexandrian Harbor, and more have recently been located using remote imaging. Some remains of the Pharos were also used in the construction of Fort Qaitbey in the 15th century (Curlee), which stands on the very same spot today. Cherisiphron commissioned the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus and also known as the temple of Diana, along with his son Metagenes who were from Crete (Curlee). They don t bother talking about their hate secrets...because they think I m deaf and dumb (Kesey, 3). By acting crazy, the patients are no longer restrained by the unnerving sense of uncertainity about everything and are able to set loose all the subdued emotions. Seeing this, Chief lets loose as he can finally be himself around McMurphy, something that he hasn t been able to do for a long time. • 6. The Healthful Benefits of Gratitude Essay example Gratitude has become defined as deeply appreciative attitude for kindnesses or benefits acquired. Several parts of gratitude have been identified. First, a person experiences a warm sense of appreciation toward an individual who performs a generous or desired kind act. Second, appreciation and kindness are expressed toward the person who completed the desired act. • 8. Theme Of Identity In Twelfth Night In the play Twelfth Night, Shakespeare delves into the concept of personal identity through his exploration of the character Viola. After discovering that her twin brother is dead after a boat wreck, Viola decides to reshape her identity in the new country she is in. She hides her maiden clothes with the sea captain and takes on the name Cesario. By taking on a new name, and not the name of her brother Sebastian, Viola is not miming her twin, but instead forming a male identity of her own. As Viola makes new acquaintances under the identity Cesario, she alludes to the trickery in her identity, I am not that I play (1.5 175). Viola controls her own identity and since she knows that biologically she is not a man, she can hint at her biological identity accordingly. She shapes her identity by deciding how she wants to be viewed by others. When Olivia, the countess in the play who forms a liking to Cesario, asks Viola What are you? (I.5 204), Viola responds What I am, and what I would, are as secret as maidenhead (I.5 207 8). Again, Viola admits that her identity is a secret and that she is not who she appears to be. Throughout the play Viola is implying her identity is a false one, however, the other characters in the play do not pick up on this trick. The concept of forming one s personal identity is also influenced by others perspectives. Viola may try and refer that she is not who she is, but the other characters in the play have already shaped their perspectives of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Architectural photography has an immense capacity to stimulate the wonder of the man made world in a virtuoso manner. The intrinsic worth of a successful work of decorative art photography is that it can open up new perceptions. Through photography buildings exude a visual charge and imaginative possibilities beyond their everyday functions, giving the viewer an interesting and engaging ocular experience, and a visual understanding of the world. This should not come as a surprise because free trade among its members is one of the founding principles of the EU. With trade policy being in the exclusive jurisdiction of the EU, this creates new market opportunities for European exporters, workers and investors. The creation of this global market also creates the need for the EU to protect the interest of its 28 members from serious injury by resolving trade issues that go far beyond tariffs. The Safeguards Agreement (SG Agreement) sets forth the rules for application of Safeguard measures pursuant to Article XIX of the Global Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) 1994. These measures are temporary, emergency actions resulting in import restrictions that a country is allowed to impose on a product if imports of that product are or have the potentiality to cause a serious injury to a domestic injury of a directly competitive product. This and other pathways may play a role in providing key signals for myeloid dendritic cell differentiation and atherogenic changes (39). • 24. The Effect Of Inverse Square Law On A Beam Of X Ray Photons Experiment 1 Introduction: The aim of this experiment is to investigate the effect of the inverse square law on a beam of x ray photons. The inverse square law states that the intensity of an x ray beam is inversely proportional to the square of the distance (Ball, J.L., Moore, A.D. and Turner, S., 2008). Similar triangles (Appendix A Image 1) are a proof of the inverse square law as it shows that if the distance from the beam is doubled, the intensity falls to one quarter of its original value. If it is trebled the intensity falls to one ninth and at four times the distance it is one sixteenth its value, etc (Holmes, K., Elkington, M. and Harris P., 2013). The formula used to calculate this is: This law only applies if the radiation is from a point source, the radiation of the beam is homogenous (the photons must all have the same energy) and if there is no attenuation between the source of radiation and the detector (Holmes, K., Elkington, M. and Harris P., 2013). However, the x ray beam cannot satisfy these three conditions of the inverse square law. This is because the x rays produced are not emitted from a true point source as the focal spot has a finite size. They are not emitted equally in all directions as the anode heel effect causes the intensity to vary across the beam and the absorption and scattering of the x ray beam occur as it passes through the air (Graham, D., Cloke, P. and Vosper, M., 2012). Despite this, the inverse square law can still be applied ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 26. Definition Of Image Quality Of Digital Imaging CHAPTER 1: INTRODUCTION 1.1. Background 1.1.1. Limits to image quality Digital imaging systems have a lot of applications including digital photography for recreational and commercial purposes, electronic surveillance, satellite imaging and ground based geographic information systems, medical imaging systems like computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), forensics and even particle physics. In many applications of digital imaging, a high quality image is required to allow human interpretation or machine perception. Image quality is defined in terms of spatial resolution, pixel resolution, temporal resolution and spectral resolution. For our application, we are interested in spatial resolution. Spatial resolution is measured in terms of pixel density and refers to the number of pixels used per unit area to construct the image. It defines the minimum separation distance for 2 features in the original scene for them to be distinguishable. Spatial resolution is determined by the density of imaging sensors. Imaging sensors are charge coupled devices (CCD) or CMOS active pixel sensors, arranged in a two dimensional array. The higher the sensor density, the higher the spatial resolution. Higher sensor density can be achieved either by reducing the sensor size or increasing the size of the chip carrying the sensors. Increasing the pixel density is limited by: 1. Reducing the size of sensors results in less light falling on the sensors, thus generating shot ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

India is one of the richest countries in the importance it gives to its culture and heritage. Marriage forms an important of Indian culture and traditions and is considered as one of the major pillars of society. Coming back to the freedom to marry out of choice, even in A Stench of Kerosene , written by Amrita Pritam and from her collection called, Land of Five Rivers Stories from the Punjab , we see that although Guleri liked Manak, the decision of marriage was not hers and Manak would have to ask her father for permission, If you want me, go and ask my father for my hand. Vomiting can cause a significant loss of electrolytes as well. The patient also has a fever of 102.3, which has probably caused some heat release by sweating leading to fluid loss. • 30. Knowing God by J.I Packer In this modern day, many people claim to be Christians, but I believe that there is a distinction between Christians and disciples . Throughout my day, I ve realised that almost any person can call themselves Christians, but to be called a disciple is completely different. To call yourself a Christian you carry the gift of salvation with authenticity. A disciple also carries the responsibility of living in holiness. As scripture shows us in Hebrews 12:14 follow peace with all man, and holiness, without which no man shall see The Lord. Therefore there are various distinctions between those who claim they are Christian and those who are truly disciples. One value that the disciple must hold dear to his life is that he/she should know God, and J.I. packer shows us how to know The Lord by introducing us to the study of God. Packer begins his proposal to know God by explaining the study of God and his divinity, which is theology. He explains that the theory of theology should begin to humble one s mind, which expanding it. Packer states that he who often thinks of God, will have a larger than the others. This also implies the distinction on christians and disciples. Packer then introduces five basic, interesting principles for genuinely knowing God. The first principle is the bible. The bible is Gods word here on earth, many many times, all the answer we need for any type of afflicting dilemma can be found in Gods word. I totally agree with J.I. Packer when he ... Although I did not say it, I wanted to say this to help her feel accepted and understood. This may not what she was thinking, but I was thinking it because I have experienced it before. To effectively help people explore themselves, I should make an improvement in these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. Why The Hpv E6 Oncoprotein With The Help Of Bioinformatics... Purpose of the project: The purpose of the project is to understand the HPV E6 oncoprotein with the help of bioinformatics tools like Rasmol, Blast, ClustalW, Prosite and Palign. Introduction: Human Papillomavirus commonly called as HPV has been known to cause genital infections in males and females. It is a DNA virus from the papillomavirus family and one of the most common virus that are known to cause tumors. There are about more than 120 different viruses but only about 40 of them are transmitted sexually. HPVs usually infect the mucosal membranes and different sites in the body like skin, mouth, throat and genitals. HPVs are divided into two different categories low risk and high risk depending how they behave overtime. High risk mucosal HPVs are the causative agents of cervical cancers, with HPV16 and HPV18 being the most common oncogenic types associated with 50% and 20% of the carcinomas respectively (Bosch et al., 1995). There are two viral protein that causes the degradation of the tumor suppressor genes; E6 and E7. These two protein work together to cause the tumor by destroying the host machinery. E6 oncoprotein has the capacity to block apoptosis, changes the function of several proteins and thereby modifying the signals of the cells. One of the major function of the E6 protein is to target the p53 (a tumor suppressor protein), it inactivates and recruit the E3 ubiquitin ligase E6AP (Huibregtse et al., 1991; Scheffner et al., 1993) by binding to a conserved ...
