Moral Lessons in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein
Mary Shelley s Frankenstein has become a classic in modern literature. Her tale is full of moral
lessons that encompass a wide variety of subjects but one of the most prevalent is the theme of
knowledge and its pursuit. Frankenstein, Walton, and the Monster all have an appetite for acquiring
knowledge and actively pursue their perspective interests, but it soon turns to the obsessive and
proves to be dangerous. Each of the character s desires demonstrates to be detrimental to them when
no boundaries are established. Through the use of consequences, Shelley s Frankensteinshows that
the relentless and obsessive pursuit of knowledge can lead to dangerous and disastrous situations.
The primary example for the search of knowledge that quickly turned obsessive is Victor
Frankenstein. His profound interest for the pursuit of knowledge and the production of life
quickly becomes obsessive, thinking of nothing but the cause and generation of life (Shelley 31).
His primary virtue, his love for learning, quickly became obsessive. Frankenstein ignores his
family and friends, and seemed to have lost all soul or sensation but for this one pursuit (Shelley
33), becoming oppressed by his obsession, and failing to care for himself. His intense need to learn
and expose all the secrets of nature drive him beyond all reason, clouding his judgment and
compelling him forward even when his human nature turned with loathing from what he was
attempting to do and create (Shelley 33).

Compare And Contrast Chimps And Gorillas
As you walk through the jungle, listen. What do you hear? The cry of a gorilla? The scream of
a chimpanzee? You only hear one, or you may hear both. There may be a flash of color and you
not know what it is because gorillas and chimps have very similar characteristics and habits, but
their eating habits are very different. I m going to tell you about chimps and gorillas to show
you how closely related they really are. Chimps and gorillas look very different. Such as size
and weight. The only thing that hey have in common is the same colors but some of the
markings are different. Adult male gorillas have a silver back and all gorillas can weigh up to
600lbs and grow to 6ft tall. But chimps only weigh 120 lbs and and grow to 4ft

Research on Marine Vessels
CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of study
There are four classes of vessels and four zones. The vessel for class A will sail in the area of
zone A, vessel of class B at zone b and so on. Those vessels have their own fish catches. Trawling
is a fishing method that very profit and this method have been used in the world and catch every
marine organism through the open mouth of the trawl net. There are various type of gear sizes,
from the small gear size to the bigger size that will sail in the middle of the ocean. However,
trawling will catch a big number of marine organism. The trawling techniques are expands within
the short times in the gear size, which can catch a big quantity of fishes. The weakness of the
trawl gear is the trawlers are always catch the non target organisms that must be avoided such as
juvenile, threatened species, lower price fishes, and the charisma species such as sea turtle ad
marine mammal (Fonteyne, 2000). Trawl net can be classified to several categories such as
demersal otter trawling or bottom trawling, shooting and hauling otter trawl gear, twin rig trawling,
demersal pair trawling, beam trawling, pelagic pair trawling or mid water trawling, and pelagic
single boat trawling (Sainsbury, 1986). In our country, the trawlers use bottom trawling and mid
water trawling.
Bottom trawling is the method of towing the trawl along the sea floor. Mid water trawling is the
method of towing the trawl through the column of water above the bottom of

Human Condition
One of the reasons the movement is so difficult to define is because many of these thinkers have
differing views on what the human condition is, which is at the center of the study of
existentialism. Something that is found to be common between many existentialist, though, is their
consistent and utter rejection to any and all systems, theories and organizational constructs that
attempt to answer the question of the human condition, and give value to our existence in a
comprehensive approach whether they are based in religion, science or philosophy.
One of the most historically outstanding systems which claims to explain some core existential
questions about the human condition is religion. Religion was something that filled the void of the
existential question for as long as humanity has existed, and alleviate the concern of creating
meaning and purpose. Existentialist thinkers have adopted the belief that following organized ...

Oftentimes, constructs such as religion offer a partial experience, often such systems will see the
meaning and purpose to life as somehow emanating from an alternative, objective realm, such as
heaven. However; in doing so they lose sight of the perspective of what life is like for an
individual living on this earth and experiencing all the fears, anxieties, hopes and disappointments
that are a part of the human condition. For example, many of the mass organized religions often
provide answers to many of the vexing questions of life from the perspective of an all knowing and
all powerful God, whose word is thought to be communicated to us through prophets. However,
existentialists stress that what we most need is not a divine perspective of the human condition, but
a human perspective, for as Nietzsche put it we are ultimately, much to his chagrin, human, all too

Propaganda In The Handmaid s Tale By Margaret Atwood
The doublespeak or propaganda is a significant manipulate language that has been used in The
Handmaid s Tale by Margaret Atwood, especially in VIII. Birthday. This manipulate language is
being used to persuade and encourage people by individual judgements and attitudes. The first
significant circumstance that Aunt Lydia uses her personal judgement to blame other women that
they are not good. In the novel, Of course, some women believed there would be no future, they
thought the world would explode. That was the excuse they used. They said there was no sense in

Logical Fallacies And Decision Making
Most arguments, whether intentional or otherwise contain some sort logical fallacy. It can be
deceptive in its nature or it can be an honest misconception, caused by the party s inability to
present an effective argument because it does not thoroughly understand the logical result of the
relationship between premises. Although it is not easy to memorize the many forms and terms of
logical fallacies, it is crucial identify any inconsistencies within the premise conclusion of someone

Representations Of Discovery In Robert Frost s Tuft Of...
It takes a monumental experience to recognise discovery and to that extent the composer s
manipulate their ideas on discovery and represent them in a way that is memorable. Robert Frost s
Tuft of flowers , Mending wall and Jean Marc VallГ©e s Wild have intertwining ideas of Nature
and Relationships that leads to emotional and intellectual discoveries. In this speech I will present
to you my understanding of how Representations of discovery are made memorable through the
composer s ways of communicating .
In Robert Frost s Tuft of flowers , the connection of man and nature leads the composer to make an
emotional discovery. Frosts unorthodox rhyming style of having 5 iambs in each line makes the
poem unique and its quest to realising discovery unique. With that in mind by choosing an unusual
form, Frost makes the idea apparent to me in a way that is memorable. Also Frost contrasts the
flower with the cut grass shows that he has encased a connection between them and himself as he
recognises the beauty of the flower in ...and led my eye to look/At a tall tuft of flowers beside a
brook this new understanding lead him on the path of finding the emotional discovery. Through this
poem, Frost showed me that discoveries can lead to refinding yourself and finding new perceptions
and by demonstrating this idea he has further my understanding of discovery through the notion of
making it memorable.
In the notion of discovery, a connection with nature leads to an unparalleled growth in one self as
shown by Jean Marc VallГ©e s Wild . Like Frost s Tuft of flowers , Wild shows the connection to
nature is essential to the path of discovery. VallГ©e uses naturalistic lightning on the face of his
character to shows the emotions, and expressions the character has on the various of landscape
from the desert to the snow. The uses of the lighting highlights the changes of the characters emotion
throughout her journey across the land and thus illustrates her new found discovery of her
emotions. In some sense, both Tuft of flowers and Wild , makes their ideas memorable by using
different techniques to elevate their characters, by doing so the concept of discovery becomes more
apparent to me.
In Robert Frost s Mending

Vada Sultenfuss In My Girl
The movie I have chosen to explore is My Girl. The main character, Vada Sultenfuss, is an 11
year old girl experiencing middle childhood with her best friend, Thomas J (Zieff, 1991). This
paper will cover the following points, identity and self esteem, gender roles and sexuality, and
dealing with death in middle childhood.
Identity and self esteem
According to Erik Erikson s eight stages of grief, the main character is in stage four, industry versus
inferiority. Between the ages of five and twelve, industry versus inferiority occurs. During this
time if the child cannot develop a specific skill he/she feels society is demanding then the
probability of experiencing feelings of inferiority is highly likely (Sigelman and Rider, 2015).

Loved ones will experience these five stages after a death. The five stages are denial, anger,
bargaining, depression, and acceptance. There is not a set amount of time for any stage, a stage
may be skipped or repeated, and a person may stay suspended in one stage (Sigelman and Rider,
2015). Vada experiences death twice during the movie, with her mother and her best friend.
Vada s mother died from complications of giving birth to Vada. Vada is stuck in the stage of
depression because she believes she is at fault for her mother s death. Through the first half of
the movie, Vada is so sure she is dying that she has become a hypochondriac. She takes herself to
the doctor to let him know she is dying. She lays on the floor writhing in false pain and dying.
Vada feels so guilty about causing her mother s death, that she feels she needs to be punished. The
ultimate punishment for Vada would be her own death. The expression of her feelings and her
father s willingness to listen and explain might have propelled Vada through the stages and on to

Ruisi et al, (2015) worked on 15 accessions of lentil during two years and stated that high
variation existed among genotypes in terms of pheno morphological and agronomic traits. In the
present study, most (21.54%) and lowest (4.79%) values of the coefficient of variation of error

NSA Persuasive Essay
Since the Edward Snowden leak in 2013, the controversy over NSA surveillance has focused on
the invasion of privacy of United States citizens. Specifically the bulk collection programs that have
picked up American phone data, even of those who haven t done anything wrong. This invasion of
privacy has been deemed unconstitutional by many and for good reason.
In recent years, the NSA controversy has become more eminent, mostly due to the Edward
Snowden Leak in 2013. This leak revealed sensitive information about the NSA tracking the
movements of millions of people using cell phone metadata and the action of the NSA
intercepting and storing data on billions of people all over the world. More recently, in 2015, key
provisions of the Patriot Act, a law intended to help the United States government detect and
prevent acts of terrorism or the sponsorship of terrorist organizations, were debated over whether
or not they should be allowed to expire. Due to their mass cellphone data collection program, other
programs involving the wiretapping of suspects, and more that were possible threats to the privacy
of U.S. citizen s, there was substantial discourse about what to do with these key provisions. These
key provisions, specifically, Section 215, were renewed until 2019, with the exception of the mass
collection of phone data, which was revised with more restrictions because it was the most
controversial.
With the opportunity to track terrorists comes the opportunity to invade

Franz Kafka s A Hunger Artist And The Metamorphosis
Self insertion, a literary device in which a character who is the real author of a work of fiction
appears as a character within fiction, either overtly or in disguise. Imagine yourself being unable
to obtain the recognition of your parents your whole life and leaving this world as a nobody. The
writings of Franz Kafkanot only spoke of the absurdity of life, but also about who he was. They
told about what type of human being he was, and how he was feeling. You can see this in both of
his well known short stories, A Hunger Artist and The Metamorphosis. I believe that there is a
personal link between author and character and that it can be found in most of his works.
Franz Kafka was born on July 3, 1883, in Prague. The writer grew up in a middle class Jewish
family and studied law at the University of Prague. By the time Kafka was six he had lost his
two younger brothers, they were only infants, leaving Franz as the only boy in the family. This
tragedy shaped the family for the rest of their lives. Growing up Kafka s relationship with his
parents suffered, neither of them supporting his desire of become a writer. Hermann Kafka,
Franz s father, was a forceful man and made it apparent throughout the household. Kafka s father
had a profound impact on both Kafka s life and writing. He was a tyrant of sorts, with a wicked
temper and little appreciation for his son s creative side ( Franz Kafka. Bio. A E Television

Treatment includes forms of therapy like psychotherapy and drugs depending on the severity of
depression. Family and friends are important in recovery of depressed individuals by offering
support needed to follow prescriptions and support during recovery. Depressive disorders are
diverse, but they all affect the wellbeing of individuals in relation to their work, social relations,
and education needs (NIH, 2015).
Depressive Disorder
Concept
Every once in a while an individual experiences sadness and blue moods however they pass after
some time and the person resumes their life. Depressive disorders are characterized by sadness
and loss of interest in things that were once pleasurable (APA, 2013). In contrast to a mood that
goes away a person suffering from depressive disorders experience persistent episodes of
sadness. Depressive disorders in contrast to a bad mood affect the mental and physical
functioning of a person and cause deterioration in those functions. Depressive disorders change
the thinking, feelings and behavior of the affected person and they can become a threat to
themselves and others (Olfson et al. 2005). People snap out of bad moods, but individuals
suffering from depressive disorders are sick and need medical attention. Depressive disorders are
common, and they vary from individual to individual in symptoms and behavior. The symptoms
will vary among males, females, young, elderly and even children. Depressive disorders are

Military Bureaucratic Model
Position Paper
1.What is the difference between the military bureaucratic model implemented by Peel and the
military style model implemented by MacDonald?
First off, what is the military bureaucratic model? It was first created by Sir Robert Peel in 1829
and according to Christopher Murphy and Paul McKenna it can be described [as] the conventional
and standard model of urban police departments (2007). Later in the journal it is described that this
model brings advantages such as organizational stability, a recognized form of administrative
control and a level of personal discipline (2007). This model combines military origins and modern
bureaucratic theories, consequently leading the public being more involved in this policing style. ...

Historically, agencies were looking for tall and strong white males; however today, agencies are
looking for minorities, females, and individuals who do not need to be a certain height or weight.
This supports the concept of Peels model that diversity allows for better cooperation with the public
since people within that ethnicity, or race can understand each other better than an outsider, as well
as, equality in these agencies. The module also talked about what is considered to be organizational
fit. As mentioned previously, many agencies in Canada are adopting the community based policing
model. The module three notes state changing the culture requires changing behaviours... the
organizational fit... becomes clear (Dreaddy, 2016). With change in society, it would make sense for
agencies to alter their organizational fit standards to meet the criteria. As agencies adjust, this
supports the concept Peel had in regard to ensuring the publics respect and cooperation by
modifying their organizational

Metaphors And The Natural World
Whether we know it or not, we make use of metaphors daily in many ways to help us make sense
of the world. A metaphor is defined as a figure of speech that identifies an object or an idea that is
similar to an unrelated thing. The use of metaphors and the language that they portray help to create
new insight into the universe. They not only help classify the natural world, and help interpret the
scientific world, but they also set outlooks on individuals culture and society; however, some
may argue that metaphors are an impractical use of our language that only complicate things that
can instead be stated clearer. Our perspectives and the way we think are directly linked to how
we talk and communicate in in the natural world and how we are viwed by society. This is
explained further in detailed in Metaphors We Live By, because it clearly shows how individuals
shape their perspectives based on their experiences in society: In most of the little things we do
every day, we simply think and act more or less automatically along certain lines, (Lackoff
Johnson 3). This furthers proves how much metaphors can affect the way we think and the way
we see the world from what we undergo and experience in our life it is what gives us an opinion
on certain matters of race, gender, religion, etc. We all think and act according to how we interact
with our society and it is the power of metaphors that help guide and change one s beliefs to help
portray our own perspective for others.

A Research Study On Biotechnology Essay
The scientists who are conducting biotechnology research from the government grant like NIH,
they have to deal with the government before their research take place from thoughts to laboratory
and laboratory to in the real field. They have to prove the subject safety during each stage of the
research from pre clinical to clinical phase I to phase IV to the regulatory agencies. Biotechnology
research experts put maximum efforts to follow the regulatory mechanism than any other
technology users. There is no evidence that biotechnology carriages additional risk, but there are
uncertainties that concern the public. Biotechnology product put the same risk on subjects as the
airplane put on travellers. The cost of new biologic product development through the approval is
approximately $2.6 Billion, means $2600 million plus the cost of post marketing surveillance is
$312 million, which is many times higher than one Airbus A380 800 that cost $428 million. The
regulatory program may differ for different field of biotechnology. The plant related biotechnology
researches are rolling fast, and some potential products are in the pipeline with less requirement
comparable to animal based and human base biotechnology products. Animal related biotechnology
research has showed more complex than scientists expected, both in terms of genetics and social
issues. Most people are not worrying much about transferring genes from one plant to another plant

How Societal Pressures Affect Individuals Within War Torn Environments Many common
objects, such as a paperweight, can hold significant value to its possessor. Memories that are
associated with these types of objects can create a strong bond that may sometimes weigh more
than the object itself. This type of correlation between memories and objects is an important
theme within Emily St. John Mandel s novel, Station Eleven, as well as Tim O Brien s short
story, The Things They Carried. At a young age Kirsten, the protagonist of Station Eleven, is
abrasively thrust into a new and desolate world where most of the population has been killed by a

Symbolism in any type of short story, poem, novel, or drama, can help a reader to better
understand a character and their associated background. Through a symbol intricate details of a
characters psyche can be revealed. For Jimmy, the letters he carries helps the reader to come to
the conclusion that he is just a young kid at war; he does not necessarily believe in violence and
surely does not wish to be in Vietnam. The reader can infer this because he is constantly
distracted by thoughts of Martha and how he wished he were with her, Kneeling, watching the
hole, he tried to concentrate on Lee Strunk and the war, all the dangers, but his love was too
much for him, he felt paralyzed, he wanted to sleep inside [Martha s] lungs and breathe her blood
and be smothered. (O Brien 328). Similarly Kirsten carries a comic book that she uses to escape
her reality. Despite not having much recollection of the Arthur, the man who gave her the comic,
she finds purpose in this item. Readers can deduce this from the fact that although she should only
carry what she needs to survive Kirsten still lets the comic take up storage space. PROOF QUOTE

also considered a single region in South America (239). Both of these regions have very large
populations in comparison to the other regions of their realms. Mexicos current population of 102

Appropriation In Art History
Appropriation in art and art history refers to the practice of artists using pre existing objects or
images in their art with little transformation of the original (Tate, no date). Artists have been
appropriating for many centuries and tend to use the most iconic of masterpieces from the past and
make them more contemporary for today s style. The Mona Lisa by Leonardo Da Vinciis one of the
greatest examples of this act. It is one of the most famous and well known paintings ever created;
however the piece has been manipulated by other artists, so much that the meaning behind the
original is indefinite. If a piece of which is so recognisable in our society be stolen from other
artists, this leaves us with the question Is art original?... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But knowing makes me have a different opinion. This still puzzles my thoughts of originality in art
and whether it matters in our society.
This is a representation of the Marilyn Monroe Piece by Yu Youhan produced in the Chinese
century of political pop.
Youhan replicated the same method to Warhol s all time famous artwork but altered the subject
of the design. Instead of Monroe he replaced the figure as the chairman Mao. He used Mao as
part of a memorial as he played a big part in his political life. By doing this, it changes the meaning
of the painting and Mao becomes the centre of attention and the main topic of the piece.
I am now going to discuss Cindy Sherman and her film scenes. She was a big believer in
Feminism and is well known for recreating film stills replacing the original actors with her.
Although Sherman s work is entitled as one of those artists who appropriate, I would consider
her work to be quite original. Yes, you could say that because she has copied film scenes that her
work isn t original but personally I believe that her work is trying to make a change and represent

Americans Views Of The Pharmaceutical Industry
Americans views of the pharmaceutical industry slipped back into negative numbers in 2015.
Gallup s annual measure of 25 major U.S. business sectors revealed that the percentage of
Americans with a positive view of the pharmaceutical industry dropped from 40% in 2014 to 35%
in 2015. The percentage with a negative view rose from 36% to 43%. This leaves the
pharmaceutical industrywith a negative net positive rating of 8 in 2015 (Norman). This negative
opinion of the pharmaceutical industry is due the recent increasing controversy surrounding
pharmaceutical marketing, influence, and also over private companies who own the manufacturing
licenses of various drugs that allow them to control drug prices and their availability on the market.

The 5,556 percent price increase of a common anti parasitic drug, Daraprim, used to treat patients
with AIDS earned Shkreli the nickname the most hated man in America (Pollack). Private
pharmaceutical companies should not be able to set their own drug prices because this allows them
to gain enormous profit over the health and well beings of the humans it serves. Prescription drug
prices continue to rise in the U.S., mainly driven by the introduction of specialty drugs. There are
very little indications that costs will stabilize soon. The issue has moved back into the national
political scene. Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has announced he will introduce a bill that

the pharmaceutical industry, one must understand their history. The modern pharmaceutical
industry traces its origin to two sources: apothecaries that moved into wholesale production of
drugs such as morphine, quinine, and strychnine in the middle of the 19th century and dye and
chemical companies that established research labs and discovered medical applications for their

Wine And Dating Research
In the 1900 s, dating was a felony. During the same time in history, BC had archaic liquor laws.
Thank goodness to progress! The similarities between wine and dating don t end at the turn of the
century. The two articles led me to notice the similarities between the stages of dating and learning
about wine.
After all, both have the same fear of looking stupid and worrying what the other thinks of us.
Since the reward for either is so good, we go ahead anyways. All those fears fade away the more
we practice and get comfortable with it. Somehow, we forge ahead thinking about all the promise it
may bring.

about the future with ease will you move in together or take a trip to Burgundy next year? Despite
the comfort that comes at this level, there is always more to learn about wine or a person.
For the purpose of this article I have shown the parallels between wine and dating, but dating is
much more complicated in real life. The level of dedication to learning about wine is more
flexible and personal. In the wine world, few will ever have the resource to try a Chateau Lafite

The costs for CVS should be less than Target s costs, which in theory, would allow them to drop
prices significantly. However, CVS needs to be careful that they don t lower the cost beyond
perceived value to avoid a costly price war which will just eat away at their profits. With that said,
some cost savings should be passed onto the consumer, to attempt to gain their loyalty and start the

CVS presumably already has a well developed distribution channel and supply chain. Expansion
into new markets may require additional resources such as outsourcing or additional distribution

Hereditary Multiple Exostoses
Hereditary multiple exostoses (HME) is a pediatric skeletal disorder which develops between birth
and 12 years of age. The disorder has an occurrence of 1 out of 50,000 children. HME is
characterized by the development of multiple benign bone tumors, referred to as exostoses, which
develop throughout the skeletal system. Tumors usually develop on the end of long bones and flat
bones during growth of the child and stop developing once the child has stopped growing
(National Library of Medicine [NLM], 2013). HME is characterized by the development of
multiple tumors on bone called osteochondromas which are composed of bony components with a
cartilage cap. These tumors usually are not malignant, or noncancerous, and occur in two different
forms. The first form being a broad based sessile osteochondroma and the second being a small
based stalked osteochondroma (Ryckx et al., 2013). These exoctoses are very painful and
discomforting to the affected child and cause functional impairment due to either compression of
soft tissue or obstruction as a result of its size. Because the tumors develop during growth, limb
deformities can develop causing physical distortions such as uneven limbs (Ham, 2013; NLM,
2013).
The number of osteochondromas and area where they occur vary between patients. Bones
throughout the whole body from the clavicle to the foot are affected. A study performed by
Clement and Porter. (2011) revealed 5361 exostoses in sites all over the body as seen in

Its long term impact is that it influenced many beliefs in China up until the nineteenth century.
What was the popular appeal of Buddhism? How does it compare and contrast to Hinduism?
The appeals of Buddhism are that there is less dependence on Brahmins for ritual services, there
was no caste or jati, and it did not demand the rigorous asceticism of Jainism. Buddhism is different
from Hinduism because Buddhists use vernacular tongues instead of Sanskrit. It is similar to
Hinduism because they both believe in reincarnation, originated in india, made people live
according to a certain way (dharma/eightfold path) and they both have the idea of heaven or a
spiritual union (nirvana and moksha).
How did early Buddhism evolve into Mahayana Buddhism? How did that help spread the religion?
Buddhism evolved into Mahayana Buddhism because innovations opened the road to salvation for
large numbers of people. This helped it because education institutes preferred it to the other form of
the religion, thus spreading it efficiently.
How did Hinduism evolve in India during this period?
Three epics of Hinduism, the Mahabharta, Ramayana, and the Bhagavad Gita reinforced the caste
system by emphasizing active life and adherence to caste over the ascetic life. This message opened
Hinduism to common people who are used to the caste system and allowed Hinduism to overtake
Buddhism.

The story of Laocoon is popularly found in the Aeneid, where Laocoon warned the Trojans
against bringing the wooden horse into Troy; as he suspected soldiers to be hiding in it.
According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, Laocoon was from Troy and was the priest of the god
Apollo. Laocoon had made a promise to Apollo to be celibate, as he was his priest. Laocoon
ended up breaking this promise and got married and had children. Apollo was mad about this.
While Laocoon and his two sons were preparing a sacrifice for Poseidon, two giant serpents, sent

and status links, each having their own criteria and way of connecting verses. Reverberation links
focus on linking the intensity of emotions and the tension found in the previous link, either through
a character or through scenery. Status links, however, are done by linking through socioeconomic

The Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh Of Iran Essay
In mid 1953, democratic leader Mohammad Mossadegh of Iran was overthrown in favor of
electing General Fazlollah Zahedi the new Iranian Prime Minister. This was caused by a coup led
by the British Secret Intelligence Service and the US Central Intelligence Agency, though plans
for the coup began in Britain about 2 years before the US became involved. Britain, since the
early 18th century, had been very involved in Iranian economic affairs, due to Iranian leader Nasir
al Din Shah selling large chunks of Iranian industry to foreign investors in order to fund his well
known over exuberance. Of his foreign investors, Britain bought into Iranheavily, purchasing rights
to run a telegraph through Iran to India, exclusive rights to tobacco in Iran, and exclusive rights
to industry, farmland, resources, roads, banks, and currency in Iran, though the latter would later
be revoked (31). This decision to subsequently, over time, led to control over the nation s most
valuable assets to be given to foreigners, rather than the Iranian people (32). After Nasir al Din
Shah s death in 1901, his son Muzzaffar sold the rights to Iranian oil to Britain for 60 years. This
decision led to Iranian riots because this would take oil out of Iranian control and Iranian economy
would suffer as a result. To combat this, in 1906, Iran formed an Iranian parliament, known as the
Majlis, to defend the Iranian people and keep Iran out of poverty. Feeling threatened, Britain

Manual pumps, rediscovered in Europe after 1500 (allegedly used in Augsburg in 1518 and in
Nuremberg in 1657), were only force pumps and had a very short range due to the lack of hoses.
German inventor Hans Hautsch improved the manual pump by creating the first suction and
force pumpand adding some flexible hoses to the pump. In 1672, Dutch artist, and inventor Jan
Van der Heyden s workshop developed the fire hose. Constructed of flexible leatherand coupled
every 50 feet (15 m) with brass fittings. The length remains the standard to this day in mainland
Europe whilst in the UK the standard length is either 23m or 25m. The fire engine was further
developed by the Dutch inventor, merchant and manufacturer, John Lofting (1659 1742) who had
worked with Jan Van der Heyden in Amsterdam. Lofting moved to London in or about 1688,
became an English citizen and patented (patent number 263/1690) the Sucking Worm Engine in
1690. There was a glowing description of the firefighting ability of his device in The London
Gazette of 17 March 1691, after the issue of the patent. The British Museum has a print showing

Fashion And Gender Roles In Gabrielle Roy s The Tin Flute
Publications based upon historical fiction are written to yield readers with an opinion or perception
into history. Gabrielle Roy s The Tin Flute portrayal exhibits facts to fit onto the story in a clever
demeanor, The Tin Flute dramatization with love and betrayal helps create excitement about
history. Implementing that excitement can preview readers to factual accounts of history in an
entertaining way. Fashion seemed to play an essential role in the identification of classes; Srigley
implements fashion as an essential attribute. Due to the constant condemnation and disapproval

Working women also provided domestic help (39) within households, Srigley states that as
daughters were taking on greater economic roles, brothers and other family members did not
assume more domestic responsibilities(48). This was also the case in The Tin Flute; the primary
breadwinner Azarius, he had shown a tendency to give up a sure thing for a gamble (41). Domestic
duties within a household were still primarily the woman s job even with the additional array s of
duties. Women in general completed all the duties in The Tin Flute; Eugene(Florentine s brother)

primary source of income is sugarcane production. However, due to the reducing prices of sugar,
the island s government seeks to expand the economy. Saul Amron is a successful researcher in

The World War I Led From The Imperialist Age Of The 19th...
World War I led to the deaths of over 70 million people in Europe, and destroyed the already weak
infrastructure left from the imperialist age of the 19th century. During this time of rebuilding,
Germany turned to people they believed would help them rebuild. The people who would rebuild
would also destroy the freedoms of the German people through their aggressive takeover. This
takeover by the German National Socialist Party, dubbed the Nazi Partyby Bavarians, was defined
for the brutality and the totalitarian government by which it ruled. So the question is, how did
they take over? How did a party made from the hands of but 5 people manage to conquer all of
Germany during the 1930s? This is due to the harsh stipulations enforced by the post war efforts of
the allied powers and the following collapse of many European countries. Lack of International
Cooperation led to the blaming of the Central Powers of Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and the
Ottoman Empire after the first World War. The only problem with this was that Germany was the
only nation intact after the Armistice Day in 1918. Germany s Imperial government had been
overthrown in the German November Revolution of 1918 and had been set up as the new Weimar
Republic. This meant that, reluctantly, the German Reichstag had to accept blame for all damages
created by the war and the Central Powers. In 1919, after the conclusion of World War I, a formal
treaty was signed. This treaty, known as the Treaty of Versaille,

Science Fair Project Research Report
Engineering Project Robert Lauv Period 3 Science Fair Project Research Report Magnification is
one of the world s greatest inventions. It made people learn about the creatures that are too small
for the human eye to see normally. But sometimes, the image given by magnification is unclear.
And here is a solution: colored magnifying lens. Colored glasses lens change the way people see,
so why not improvise and add that feature to magnifying glasses? (not saying to create prescription
magnifying glasses) One of the most basic tools for magnificationis the magnifying glass, invented
by Alhazen and used for scientific studies by Roger Bacon. The magnifying glass is a tool used to
make things appear bigger. They are made of a convex lenses,... Show more content on

Resolution makes an item seem to be closer to the views another. Without resolution, the virtual
world would be confusing. Focal length is the distance from the point that light rays meet to the
area the virtual image is actually shown. The longer the focal length, the higher the magnification.
The lower the focal length, the lower the magnification. Magnification helps scientists learn about
microscopic life and things far away, which is why it s so important. A couple of things our planet
learned about using magnification are about how bacteria lives and the creatures that live with
them, about the planets, asteroids, and even galaxies. Magnification is one of the world s great
discoveries. There is nothing online about how colored lenses affects magnification, which is what
this engineering project is planned to be about (increasing one thing about magnification using
colored lenses). But the thought that the color of a convex lens could change something is the
reason for continuing this project. Okay, no that s a lie. The only reason for continuing this project
instead of starting a new one is the belief it s too late to change projects and the engineer of this
project doesn t want to think

Northrop Grumman Values
Northrop Grumman Corporation is one of the largest, American, aerospace and defense technology
companies in the world. As of 2015, Northrop Grumman is the 5th largest defense contractor and
has reported revenues of over twenty five billion dollars, making Northrop Grumman number 7 on
the Fortune 500 list. With these facts in mind, it should be clear as to just how important Corporate
Social Responsibility, Integrity, Diversity, and all the other aspects of Human Resources
are to
creating and maintaining the visions, strategies, and goals of Northrop Grumman. In order to get a

employee had a habit of posting that he worked nine hours instead of the actual seven. As it is
with most evil or immoral things, no one was getting hurt by this little lie and when the
allegations were brought to the employee s manager, a blind eye was turned. After all, the work
was getting done, was it not? The truth eventually reached a Business Conduct Officer, Mr. de le
Fortrie, from a disgruntled and secret source and in order to maintain and salvage the company s
good name, the hammer had to fall. Mr. de le Fortrie explained to the manager and employee that
not only did this act of dishonesty harm Northrop Grumman s reputation, but it also affected them
financially, since the company was obligated to refund the Department of Defense for every faked
hour the employee falsely claimed. Based on the recommendation of Mr. de le Fortrie and several
other company officers, the employee was eventually terminated from the company and the
manager was given a one year letter of concern and required to attend integrity training. Mr. de le
Fortrie went on to say that this story underlines the biggest challenge he faces in managing human
resources at Northrop Grumman, the challenge of determining peoples futures, like he did with the
manager and terminated employee. Following up this answer, the interviewer asked, What is your

Monarch Butterfly Research Paper
When people think of a monarch butterfly they think of a small creature with wings and antennae.
But monarch butterflies are way more than that. They have beautiful colors, they go through
metamorphosis to become the beautiful butterflies they are, and they travel across the country. This
is why I believe monarch butterflies are amazing creatures.
How they become a monarch Monarchs are amazing creatures because they go threw the process of
metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is the transformation of an immature form (caterpillar) into an
adult form or adult stage (butterfly). The Monarchs lay their eggs on milkweed which is the plant
they eat. Monarch butterflies do not have a live birth they are born in eggs. When the eggs hatch
the larvae come out of the shell and eat the eggshell they hatched from and they eat the milkweed
the eggs were laid on. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Larvae have three distinct body parts: the head, thorax, and abdomen. Their head is equipped
with a pair of antennae, an upper lip, mandibles, a lower lip, and six simple eyes called ocelli.
Even with many eyes their vision is still poor. But that is what their antennae are for. The
Monarchs antennae help them guide them because of their poor sight. The antennae are also
helpful for eating. This is because the antennae help guide the food into the butterflies jaws. During
the larvae, pupa, or caterpillar stage the butterflies only live on Milkweed plants. The Milkweed
plants glycogen toxins which don t have any effect on the Monarchs, but this plant is poisonous to
the Monarchs predators. Monarchs eat all sections of the milkweed plant and they store the toxins
in their bodies. Adult Monarchs eat nectar from a big range of flowers, including the milkweed.

What Is The Social Class Status In Pride And Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice A classical, romantic satire set during the Georgian era, Pride and Prejudice,
dives deeper than the surface of love and daily life among upper class English citizens. Pride and
Prejudice was written by Jane Austen in 1797, and published in 1813. Austen wrote the story based
on her own opportunities and experiences as the society she lived in progressed from the
Enlightenment to the Romanticism era. Pride and Prejudiceis full of rich historical context. As
readers, we are able to analyze the social classsystem of the British Regency, how wealth is passed
on, and the contrast between men and women during the era.

She expressed her views through her writing and characters in all of her novels, noticeably in Pride
and Prejudice. Courtship became the most important task of a woman, as it was for all the
Bennet daughters. Once the women married, their most important role was to produce male
heirs. By law and tradition, women could not receive any money or property themselves. All the
land and belongings of the family were required to be in the man s name. It was a law that all
women obtained a sum of money or a dowrie from their families once they got married or their
father passed. If the woman married, which was the only socially acceptable option, she would
pass along the money to her husband. If she remained single, she would use that money and only
that money to pay for her living expenses (ВЁHistorical Context Pride PrejudiceВЁ). In the novel,
Elizabeth was close friends with a women who was near the age of thirty, Miss Charlotte Lucas.
Mr. Collins proposed to Elizabeth in chapter nineteen of the novel, within one day of meeting each

marrying Mr. Collins. Elizabeth was hurt, as she knew Charlotte had absolutely no romantic

Health And Safety At The Workplace
Health and Safety in the Workplace The health and safety in the workplace for workers has created
a continual concern in the United States since the country was discovered. Although, a healthy and
safe work environment can be described as a work area free of health risks and absent unsafe
conditions. Indeed, the definition encompasses additional legal, moral, ethical issues. Particularly,
reporting safety issues rather than choosing to ignore them, refusing to fall under peer pressure or
fear of retaliation, not accepting bribes and making the conscious decision to report violators of the
rules. Initially, certain accidents and injuries within industries were accepted and considered a
consequence of the job, eventually workers became less accepting of inadequate working
conditions began demanding safer work environments. Therefore, numerous labor unions and
organizations formed throughout the history of the United States intended to resolve and mediate
issues between employees and employers, including the health and safety of the workers in the
workplace. Nevertheless, in an effort to avoid confusion on the accountability of employee health
and safety in the workplace the author of this paper has examined the separate entities of OSHA,
employers and employees. Although, a minute majority of workers believe that OSHA exclusively
is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of workers in the workplace; the alternative belief
is that it is the individual responsibility of

How Did Indian Ocean Trade Dbq
From 600 to 1450 CE, trade thrived through the Indian Ocean trade routes. Large and powerful
states provided security for merchants and travelers, allowing them to follow these routes with ease.
While the spread of goods and ideas along the Indian Ocean trade routes remained constant, the
states controlling them changed, leading to the creation of new states and the addition of European
participation in this network.
At the beginning of this time period, Malay sailors began riding monsoons to go to China and India.
This led to the passing of knowledge to others as well as making connections with various people.
The merchant and traveller s reliance on monsoon winds would remain constant through the period.
There was a great desire for cotton

  • 2. Moral Lessons in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein Mary Shelley s Frankenstein has become a classic in modern literature. Her tale is full of moral lessons that encompass a wide variety of subjects but one of the most prevalent is the theme of knowledge and its pursuit. Frankenstein, Walton, and the Monster all have an appetite for acquiring knowledge and actively pursue their perspective interests, but it soon turns to the obsessive and proves to be dangerous. Each of the character s desires demonstrates to be detrimental to them when no boundaries are established. Through the use of consequences, Shelley s Frankensteinshows that the relentless and obsessive pursuit of knowledge can lead to dangerous and disastrous situations. The primary example for the search of knowledge that quickly turned obsessive is Victor Frankenstein. His profound interest for the pursuit of knowledge and the production of life quickly becomes obsessive, thinking of nothing but the cause and generation of life (Shelley 31). His primary virtue, his love for learning, quickly became obsessive. Frankenstein ignores his family and friends, and seemed to have lost all soul or sensation but for this one pursuit (Shelley 33), becoming oppressed by his obsession, and failing to care for himself. His intense need to learn and expose all the secrets of nature drive him beyond all reason, clouding his judgment and compelling him forward even when his human nature turned with loathing from what he was attempting to do and create (Shelley 33). ... • 6. Human Condition One of the reasons the movement is so difficult to define is because many of these thinkers have differing views on what the human condition is, which is at the center of the study of existentialism. Something that is found to be common between many existentialist, though, is their consistent and utter rejection to any and all systems, theories and organizational constructs that attempt to answer the question of the human condition, and give value to our existence in a comprehensive approach whether they are based in religion, science or philosophy. One of the most historically outstanding systems which claims to explain some core existential questions about the human condition is religion. Religion was something that filled the void of the existential question for as long as humanity has existed, and alleviate the concern of creating meaning and purpose. Existentialist thinkers have adopted the belief that following organized ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Oftentimes, constructs such as religion offer a partial experience, often such systems will see the meaning and purpose to life as somehow emanating from an alternative, objective realm, such as heaven. However; in doing so they lose sight of the perspective of what life is like for an individual living on this earth and experiencing all the fears, anxieties, hopes and disappointments that are a part of the human condition. For example, many of the mass organized religions often provide answers to many of the vexing questions of life from the perspective of an all knowing and all powerful God, whose word is thought to be communicated to us through prophets. However, existentialists stress that what we most need is not a divine perspective of the human condition, but a human perspective, for as Nietzsche put it we are ultimately, much to his chagrin, human, all too ... • 11. Representations Of Discovery In Robert Frost s Tuft Of... It takes a monumental experience to recognise discovery and to that extent the composer s manipulate their ideas on discovery and represent them in a way that is memorable. Robert Frost s Tuft of flowers , Mending wall and Jean Marc VallГ©e s Wild have intertwining ideas of Nature and Relationships that leads to emotional and intellectual discoveries. In this speech I will present to you my understanding of how Representations of discovery are made memorable through the composer s ways of communicating . In Robert Frost s Tuft of flowers , the connection of man and nature leads the composer to make an emotional discovery. Frosts unorthodox rhyming style of having 5 iambs in each line makes the poem unique and its quest to realising discovery unique. With that in mind by choosing an unusual form, Frost makes the idea apparent to me in a way that is memorable. Also Frost contrasts the flower with the cut grass shows that he has encased a connection between them and himself as he recognises the beauty of the flower in ...and led my eye to look/At a tall tuft of flowers beside a brook this new understanding lead him on the path of finding the emotional discovery. Through this poem, Frost showed me that discoveries can lead to refinding yourself and finding new perceptions and by demonstrating this idea he has further my understanding of discovery through the notion of making it memorable. In the notion of discovery, a connection with nature leads to an unparalleled growth in one self as shown by Jean Marc VallГ©e s Wild . Like Frost s Tuft of flowers , Wild shows the connection to nature is essential to the path of discovery. VallГ©e uses naturalistic lightning on the face of his character to shows the emotions, and expressions the character has on the various of landscape from the desert to the snow. The uses of the lighting highlights the changes of the characters emotion throughout her journey across the land and thus illustrates her new found discovery of her emotions. In some sense, both Tuft of flowers and Wild , makes their ideas memorable by using different techniques to elevate their characters, by doing so the concept of discovery becomes more apparent to me. This paper will cover the following points, identity and self esteem, gender roles and sexuality, and dealing with death in middle childhood. Identity and self esteem According to Erik Erikson s eight stages of grief, the main character is in stage four, industry versus inferiority. Between the ages of five and twelve, industry versus inferiority occurs. During this time if the child cannot develop a specific skill he/she feels society is demanding then the probability of experiencing feelings of inferiority is highly likely (Sigelman and Rider, 2015). Vada experiences death twice during the movie, with her mother and her best friend. Vada s mother died from complications of giving birth to Vada. Vada is stuck in the stage of depression because she believes she is at fault for her mother s death. Through the first half of the movie, Vada is so sure she is dying that she has become a hypochondriac. She takes herself to the doctor to let him know she is dying. She lays on the floor writhing in false pain and dying. Vada feels so guilty about causing her mother s death, that she feels she needs to be punished. Kumar et al, (2012) by studying 43 genotypes of lentil under field conditions found high diversity for biological yield, seed yield and harvest index. Ruisi et al, (2015) worked on 15 accessions of lentil during two years and stated that high variation existed among genotypes in terms of pheno morphological and agronomic traits. • 14. NSA Persuasive Essay Since the Edward Snowden leak in 2013, the controversy over NSA surveillance has focused on the invasion of privacy of United States citizens. Specifically the bulk collection programs that have picked up American phone data, even of those who haven t done anything wrong. This invasion of privacy has been deemed unconstitutional by many and for good reason. In recent years, the NSA controversy has become more eminent, mostly due to the Edward Snowden Leak in 2013. This leak revealed sensitive information about the NSA tracking the movements of millions of people using cell phone metadata and the action of the NSA intercepting and storing data on billions of people all over the world. More recently, in 2015, key provisions of the Patriot Act, a law intended to help the United States government detect and prevent acts of terrorism or the sponsorship of terrorist organizations, were debated over whether or not they should be allowed to expire. Due to their mass cellphone data collection program, other programs involving the wiretapping of suspects, and more that were possible threats to the privacy of U.S. citizen s, there was substantial discourse about what to do with these key provisions. These key provisions, specifically, Section 215, were renewed until 2019, with the exception of the mass collection of phone data, which was revised with more restrictions because it was the most controversial. • 15. Franz Kafka s A Hunger Artist And The Metamorphosis Self insertion, a literary device in which a character who is the real author of a work of fiction appears as a character within fiction, either overtly or in disguise. Imagine yourself being unable to obtain the recognition of your parents your whole life and leaving this world as a nobody. The writings of Franz Kafkanot only spoke of the absurdity of life, but also about who he was. They told about what type of human being he was, and how he was feeling. You can see this in both of his well known short stories, A Hunger Artist and The Metamorphosis. I believe that there is a personal link between author and character and that it can be found in most of his works. Franz Kafka was born on July 3, 1883, in Prague. The writer grew up in a middle class Jewish family and studied law at the University of Prague. By the time Kafka was six he had lost his two younger brothers, they were only infants, leaving Franz as the only boy in the family. This tragedy shaped the family for the rest of their lives. Growing up Kafka s relationship with his parents suffered, neither of them supporting his desire of become a writer. Hermann Kafka, Franz s father, was a forceful man and made it apparent throughout the household. Kafka s father had a profound impact on both Kafka s life and writing. He was a tyrant of sorts, with a wicked temper and little appreciation for his son s creative side ( Franz Kafka. Bio. A E Television Networks). Although it was difficult to get along with his ... Family and friends are important in recovery of depressed individuals by offering support needed to follow prescriptions and support during recovery. Depressive disorders are diverse, but they all affect the wellbeing of individuals in relation to their work, social relations, and education needs (NIH, 2015). Depressive Disorder Concept Every once in a while an individual experiences sadness and blue moods however they pass after some time and the person resumes their life. Depressive disorders are characterized by sadness and loss of interest in things that were once pleasurable (APA, 2013). Depressive disorders in contrast to a bad mood affect the mental and physical functioning of a person and cause deterioration in those functions. First off, what is the military bureaucratic model? It was first created by Sir Robert Peel in 1829 and according to Christopher Murphy and Paul McKenna it can be described [as] the conventional and standard model of urban police departments (2007). Later in the journal it is described that this model brings advantages such as organizational stability, a recognized form of administrative control and a level of personal discipline (2007). This model combines military origins and modern bureaucratic theories, consequently leading the public being more involved in this policing style. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Historically, agencies were looking for tall and strong white males; however today, agencies are looking for minorities, females, and individuals who do not need to be a certain height or weight. The module also talked about what is considered to be organizational fit. As mentioned previously, many agencies in Canada are adopting the community based policing model. The module three notes state changing the culture requires changing behaviours... the organizational fit... becomes clear (Dreaddy, 2016). • 19. Metaphors And The Natural World Whether we know it or not, we make use of metaphors daily in many ways to help us make sense of the world. A metaphor is defined as a figure of speech that identifies an object or an idea that is similar to an unrelated thing. The use of metaphors and the language that they portray help to create new insight into the universe. They not only help classify the natural world, and help interpret the scientific world, but they also set outlooks on individuals culture and society; however, some may argue that metaphors are an impractical use of our language that only complicate things that can instead be stated clearer. Our perspectives and the way we think are directly linked to how we talk and communicate in in the natural world and how we are viwed by society. This is explained further in detailed in Metaphors We Live By, because it clearly shows how individuals shape their perspectives based on their experiences in society: In most of the little things we do every day, we simply think and act more or less automatically along certain lines, (Lackoff Johnson 3). This furthers proves how much metaphors can affect the way we think and the way we see the world from what we undergo and experience in our life it is what gives us an opinion on certain matters of race, gender, religion, etc. We all think and act according to how we interact with our society and it is the power of metaphors that help guide and change one s beliefs to help portray our own perspective for others. ... How Societal Pressures Affect Individuals Within War Torn Environments Many common objects, such as a paperweight, can hold significant value to its possessor. Memories that are associated with these types of objects can create a strong bond that may sometimes weigh more than the object itself. This type of correlation between memories and objects is an important theme within Emily St. John Mandel s novel, Station Eleven, as well as Tim O Brien s short story, The Things They Carried. Symbolism in any type of short story, poem, novel, or drama, can help a reader to better understand a character and their associated background. Through a symbol intricate details of a characters psyche can be revealed. For Jimmy, the letters he carries helps the reader to come to the conclusion that he is just a young kid at war; he does not necessarily believe in violence and surely does not wish to be in Vietnam. The reader can infer this because he is constantly distracted by thoughts of Martha and how he wished he were with her, Kneeling, watching the hole, he tried to concentrate on Lee Strunk and the war, all the dangers, but his love was too much for him, he felt paralyzed, he wanted to sleep inside [Martha s] lungs and breathe her blood and be smothered. Despite not having much recollection of the Arthur, the man who gave her the comic, she finds purpose in this item. Readers can deduce this from the fact that although she should only carry what she needs to survive Kirsten still lets the comic take up storage space. PROOF QUOTE 11. The Greensboro Sit Ins were meticulously planned and executed and those participating in the sit ins were faced with harassment, name calling, and constant threats of violence from those in opposition. The Montgomery Bus Boycott left many participants walking, hitchhiking, or cycling to work and called for the organization of alternative forms of travel such as carpools. Those in alliance with the boycott faced both acts of violence and jail time. Likewise, some participants in the Mississippi Freedom Summer Project were viciously kidnapped and murdered, while others were beaten, shot at, and arrested. • 45. The Iranian Prime Minister Mohammad Mossadegh Of Iran Essay In mid 1953, democratic leader Mohammad Mossadegh of Iran was overthrown in favor of electing General Fazlollah Zahedi the new Iranian Prime Minister. This was caused by a coup led by the British Secret Intelligence Service and the US Central Intelligence Agency, though plans for the coup began in Britain about 2 years before the US became involved. Britain, since the early 18th century, had been very involved in Iranian economic affairs, due to Iranian leader Nasir al Din Shah selling large chunks of Iranian industry to foreign investors in order to fund his well known over exuberance. Of his foreign investors, Britain bought into Iranheavily, purchasing rights to run a telegraph through Iran to India, exclusive rights to tobacco in Iran, and exclusive rights to industry, farmland, resources, roads, banks, and currency in Iran, though the latter would later be revoked (31). This decision to subsequently, over time, led to control over the nation s most valuable assets to be given to foreigners, rather than the Iranian people (32). After Nasir al Din Shah s death in 1901, his son Muzzaffar sold the rights to Iranian oil to Britain for 60 years. This decision led to Iranian riots because this would take oil out of Iranian control and Iranian economy would suffer as a result. To combat this, in 1906, Iran formed an Iranian parliament, known as the Majlis, to defend the Iranian people and keep Iran out of poverty. Feeling threatened, Britain stepped in and integrated ... World War I led to the deaths of over 70 million people in Europe, and destroyed the already weak infrastructure left from the imperialist age of the 19th century. During this time of rebuilding, Germany turned to people they believed would help them rebuild. The people who would rebuild would also destroy the freedoms of the German people through their aggressive takeover. This takeover by the German National Socialist Party, dubbed the Nazi Partyby Bavarians, was defined for the brutality and the totalitarian government by which it ruled. So the question is, how did they take over? How did a party made from the hands of but 5 people manage to conquer all of Germany during the 1930s? This is due to the harsh stipulations enforced by the post war efforts of the allied powers and the following collapse of many European countries. Lack of International Cooperation led to the blaming of the Central Powers of Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, and the Ottoman Empire after the first World War. The only problem with this was that Germany was the only nation intact after the Armistice Day in 1918. Germany s Imperial government had been overthrown in the German November Revolution of 1918 and had been set up as the new Weimar Republic. This meant that, reluctantly, the German Reichstag had to accept blame for all damages created by the war and the Central Powers. In 1919, after the conclusion of World War I, a formal treaty was signed. This treaty, known as the Treaty of Versaille, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
