Pros And Cons Of Organ Donation Should Not Be Compulsory
Organ donation is based on a simple concept of respect, if you want to donate you can, or if you are
concerned about if you don t have to. It s a personal choice. Making organ donation compulsory isn t
as easy as it is said. I believe that there will be a lot of problems if organ donation is made compulsory
in Australia. Firstly, it would upset a lot of people who follow various religions. Secondly, a lot of
money would be required to make this a reality. Lastly, people will be deprived of their freedom of
choice. Therefore I believe that organ donation should not be made compulsory.
Mandatory organ donation would affect numerous people that follow various religions. Every religion
has its own beliefs about organ donation. For example in Hinduism they believe that the body should
not be tampered before cremation or they will be dammed in their after life. Now knowing this, if the
government make rules that force people to go beyond their consent and religion why do we call
ourselves a democratic country? Now this may sound ridiculous from a science point of view, but
those who believe in this it is a reality in the state of mind. Therefore I believe that forcefully
legislating laws in favour of compulsory organ donation is unreasonable, unnecessary and
unintelligent.
Making organ donation compulsory comes with an astronomical cost. The government would need to
spend the money we pay as taxes to hire skilled medical professionals, buy advanced surgical
equipment and create

Creationism Vs Evolutionism Essay
Evolutionism vs Creationism has been one of the largest ongoing debates ever since Charles Darwin
threw his theory on the table. So far, neither argument has enough evidence to be proven, yet we still
teach one as fact in public education. Every genesis is dependent on trust and acceptance. Religious
theories, such as Creationism, require a belief in an intelligent God or in gods, which can neither be
proved nor disproved. Evolution requires faith in chance, time, and natural selection to explain the
precision tuned conditions that make Earth perfect for life. The Big Bang concept requires acceptance
of something we cannot see (See Space.com or Universe Today). Today, evolution is one of main
geneses being taught in public education. It has, however, several holes that are often avoided when
taught. Let s just take a look at the origin of life. Life could not have started in the presence of oxygen,
like that in our atmosphere. Evolutionists claim earth s early atmosphere was void of oxygen.
Scientific evidence today shows that earth s early atmosphere may have had even more oxygen than
today. Even allowing that theory, without oxygen there would be no ozone and, without ozone, life
would have burnt from the ultraviolet radiation. To account for this, evolutionists say life started
underwater. The water would have quickly split the molecules of any proteins that formed.
Furthermore, of the 2,000 amino acids that exist, only around 20 are used in life. Every amino acid in
proteins ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is even more at the Answers in Genesis website. Creationists do not have all the answers, either.
Nor do they have scientific evidence that can prove whether God exists or not. In the light of this
obscurity, other genesis possibilities should be taught in public education and included in standardized
tests. In such an information oriented world, why would we want to keep information from

Socrates Law Beliefs And Society
Law, beliefs and society.
Laws are not standard. They changes from state to state and obviously from country to country.
Athenians judicial system condemned to death a man for having a different belief than theirs and in
this essay I claim that Socrates acceptance of death under a failing judicial system is unvirtuous
although he tries to make it seem as a virtuous and civic act. Socrates aberration for obeying the law is
pointless. If he wants to be virtuous he must go against the system. He needs to continue fighting back
and convince others to join his cause. Evidence will be shown from Apology and Crito to prove this
claim. Resistance as civic virtue isn t death a resistance?
Virtue is found in pointing out the wrong until something is done to make it right. Socrates tells Crito
whether we must follow the opinion of the many and fear it or instead the opinion of the one person, if
there is someone who has knowledge, whom we must defer to and fear more than all the others
together (Crito 47d). He is telling us that we must follow the right path, obey the one who is right and
ignore the mob but he is not that by subjugating to asthenias beliefs made laws. I consider his
subjugation an unvirtuous act that shows he has just given up on his cause, he prefers not to fight back
and every fleeing option suggested has already been marked as impossible.
When Socrates accepts death and stops caring for the spread of his beliefs he contradicts himself from
obeying the right and is following mobocracy. By saying And at the same time, I am not accustomed
to deem myself worthy of anything bad (Apology 38b) Socrates is expressing that he is living a
rightful examined life and if we evaluate this quotation from the cause effect point given by Socrates
we can say that an examined life (cause) is worth living (effect) which leads us to the outcome that If
he does not consider himself guilty of the accusations therefore he deserves to live. In both dialogues
Socrates expresses little or no desire for escaping which makes me think that either he gave up on his
cause or he does not want to go through the suffering of being seen as unvirtuous if he flees.
His life as a fugitive from justice is not the best life a

Everyone Is Mortal
Everyone will one day face mortality. This was also true for Prince Prospero in the short story by
Edgar Allen Poe, The Masque of the Red Death . In it is a version of the black plague, which is called
the Red Death . Prince Prospero secludes a thousand friends and himself from the death around them,
but finds that he cannot avoid the inevitable. The author uses many literary devices to develop the
theme of unavoidable death. One of the devices used is imagery, which evokes the events of the story
clearly in the reader s mind. Another is allegory, which is used by Poe to create another story within
his, as it is filled with double meanings. Lastly, Poe utilizes symbolism to give the story meaning.
Edgar Allan Poe uses imagery, allegory, and symbolism to add dimension to his story and to express
the theme that one cannot escape death, no matter how hard one tries.
Poe uses imagery to paint a picture in readers mind, create a mood, and emphasize the significance of
certain objects. One can envision the amazement of the chambers, which had ...a tall and narrow
Gothic window...of stained glass whose color varied in accordance with the...hue...of the chamber into
which it opened and was lit up by ...a brazier of fire that projected its rays through the tinted glass
(421). One can also imagine the way the crowd slows down to a pause when the ...chiming of the
clock... [causes] disconcert and tremulousness and meditations (423). These descriptions keep readers

Child Health And Human Development
INTRODUCTION
Many diseases have been discovered, studied, and are diagnosed to many individuals of different ages
today. Of all individuals premature babies are prime to acquiring diseases, as their immune system has
not reached full term. Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) derives from a European literature that help
define the disease as, necrotizing meaning death of tissues, entero referring to the small intestines,
colo is the large intestine, and itis meaning inflammation.8 Necrotizing enterocolitis is the most
common and devastating disease in neonates. It is a gastrointestinal disease that affects distant organs
such as the brain and places affected infants at substantially increased risk for neurodevelopmental
delays.3, 8 The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although many other factors may be involved with the development of necrotizing enterocolitis only
premature neonates are found to be involved in case controlled studies. 8 X rays can show the
abdomen having a bubbly appearance, a sign of air or gas present in the large intestines.14 With many
research findings and studies available medical researchers are able to help narrow the understanding
of NEC in the symptoms, causation, and medical treatment.
Infants with NEC are those 5% of infants who are most sick found in the NICU that display a large
amount of morbidity and mortality and low rate of survival. 3,13,14 Once an infant is diagnosed with
NEC there is little treatment that can differ the course of the disease. 8 The studies with NEC have
been able to help researchers with diagnosis, but it remains baffling.9 The treatment of NEC is
difficult, and faulty, pathogenesis is still to be proven, and no effective prevention strategy has been
complied with.9 With the lack of improvement shown in the mortality rate for NEC over the past
years, medical investigators have to re examine epidemiologic factors involved with NEC to search
for strategies to prevent and treat the disease. 8
EPIDEMIOLOGY
Neonates with necrotizing enterocolitis have been studied to be able to get a greater understanding of
how this disease occurs and the types of preventions that can be placed to be able to

Enoch Arden
Professor Beggs English 101 MW12 17 September 2009 Enoch Arden s Charity and Goodwill In
Alfred Tennyson s poem of skilled writing, Enoch Arden , Enoch leaves his family to better serve
them as a husband and father. The poem firmly establishes the perplexity of one s generous
personality. Enoch leaves his family to better the lives for each of them in a manner that reflects a
view of personal toil and hardship to support the family in economic downfall. Also in Enoch s
absence it is written that Philip Ray provides for Enoch s children and wife Annie Lee, enabling the
thought of generosity and charitable goodwill toward the character. As we are now living in the twenty
first century, one may see this poem as not a literary work of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The poem comes out and states Miriam s good character, Miriam Lane was good and garrulous.
Though her talkative personality she does not tell Annie nor Philip of Enoch s return. She promises
twice to Enoch that she d give his blessings to his family and to announce his death as Enoch repeats
his wishes to her on his deathbed. As these examples can now be seen self evident; there is no
argument to not see this poem as not a literary work of art but a reinforcement of charity and goodwill.
This work can be compared to any revolutionary writing; Enoch Arden revolutionizes today s world
by inspiring one to become charitable and goodwilled. Enoch Arden, Philip Ray, Annie Lee, and
Miriam Lane can all be seen as charitable and good willed people whom one may look up too. It is
apparent these character s have all suffered but have refused for it to get in the way of their charity and
goodwill manner. In our modern times of disillusioned goodwill, one can look to Enoch Arden . More
specifically one can look to these wondrous characters for insight on charity and goodwill; though this
may require sacrificing and downfalls one can only applaud Tennyson for creating such inspirational
role models for today s

The Rate a Drug is Released in the Body
Rate of drug release at any given location within gastrointestinal tract depends on the mechanism by
which the drug released from pellets and local environment within git. In order to predict in vivo
behavior of dosage forms, knowledge of release mechanism and physiological conditions of git should
be understood.
Type of coating and method of applying coating will determine dominant mechanism of drug release
from coated pellets. Release kinetic is predominantly determined by the behavior of coating material
under physiological conditions of git. Multiparticulates coated for extended release purpose; release
the drug by eighter diffusion or erosion or combination of these mechanisms.
Pellets coated with polymer not soluble under gi conditions releases drug by 4 different mechanisms:
1. Solution/ diffusion through the continuous plasticized polymer phase
This mechanism is based on assumption that the polymer forms a continuous phase in which the
plasticizer other additives are homogeneously dispersed. When polymer film is formed, it contains
molecular sized openings between crosslinked chains of polymer. Plasticizer other additives affects
wetting of these openings as well as interchain dimensions by changing the crosslinking properties of
polymer chains which are critical for diffusion of drug. Mostly, drug molecules diffuse through these
openings in a process known as hindered molecular diffusion. It is an activated process wherein
thermal fluctuations of chain segments

The Effects Of Drought On Human Consumption
Throughout the past century many areas of the Western United States have faced agricultural
concerns, many environmental hazards, and economical stressors stemming from severe drought.
According to livescience.com, a drought can be described as a period of unusually dry weather that
persists long enough to cause environmental or economic problems. (Oskin, 2014) Droughts are
natural occurrences that have been happening for hundreds of years, and although their effects haven t
been documented that long, scientists have been able to identify their impacts by using various
research methods. Droughts are fairly complex issues that can have many impacts on humans as well
as be influenced by human interactions with the environment. Negative impacts are being felt
currently in the Western US and are not showing signs of slowing up. Drought is highly dependent on
human consumption of water be it for agricultural, industrial, or household uses. There are many
issues regarding human consumption of water, but one of the most notable is the fact that we have
very little fresh water available that can be accessed and used by humans. According to the USGS,
about 71% of the Earth s surface is water covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5% of all Earth s
water (Perlman, 2014). This is a pretty humbling statistic, and brings to light how easily water can
become scarce. With less than 3% of the Earth s water being readily available for consumption,
humans do not have much room for waste.

Greek Government Vs Athenian Government
Ancient Government Government should be by those people with enough time on their hands to
pursue virtue. Aristotle, one of the greatest philosophers of all time, spoke these words. Researchers
believe that the Athenian Constitution is supposedly a copy of Aristotle s book, Politics, which was
made for research for his students. Aristotle defines the constitution as a certain ordering of the
inhabitants of the city state. (1) The ancient Athenian government was a democracy. Ancient Rome on
the other hand, had a mixed constitution (2). Polybius writes the analysis of Constitution of the Roman
Republic where he outlines the distinct branches of the Roman government and he explains why it
worked. Rome was the most successful society prior to 300 BCE, because of the improvements they
made in government, engineering, and the army, which still affects society today. ... Show more

It was developed in the city state of Athens and included the nearby city state of Attica, in 508 BCE.
Athens had the most powerful democracy around at that time. Several other city states followed the
same type of democracy because of the way it worked. The Athenian democracy had three branches of
government: the Ekklesia, the Boule, and the Dikasteria. It is truly amazing how the Athenian
democracy achieved the concept of equal rights and created a system where no person or group can be
more powerful than the other. The Athenian constitution is an interpretation on the development of
constitutional in ancient Greece. The text of the constitution is written history of from a political
standpoint. It outlines the progression of Greek rulers, and their rights and privileges. The constitution
traces rulers along with their constitutional reforms all the way back to 403 BCE. Aristotle touches on
topics of earlier Greek history where democracy first started. Depicting from Aristotle s analysis,

The Dangers Of Fennec Foxes
Fennec Foxes
There are over 30 different species of Canines in the world (Canidae. Wikipedia), and 18 of those
species are foxes. Foxes are known for their cunning, and slyness. They are often portrayed as beady
eyed tricksters whose goal is to harm someone. One reason for this is because of their resilient ability
to survive. No matter what is thrown at them, or what conditions they must live in, they always stand
strong. One of the most resolute of them all is the small but fierce fennec fox.
The fennec fox is the smallest canine in the world, ranging from 9 to 16 inches in length and weighing
only 2 to 3 pounds (World book. Fennec). These endearing creatures don t look like your typical
beady eyed tricksters. In fact, their big brown eyes look quite a bit like melted chocolate. They have
huge pointy ears, and a black tipped tail. They are normally an orange cream color, with layers of
brown mixed in. These colors help them to blend in with the landscape, while hunting for their
families, in their native home of northern Africa (World book. Fennec). ... Show more content on

But fennec foxes are different, because they live in communities. Going back to their devious
reputation, a group of foxes is often called a skulk, but fennec fox communities are more like one big
family. They support each other, and guard each other s backs. These communities, which range from
6 to 10 foxes, live in vast burrows under the sand. During mating season, the males often get into
skirmishes with each other, as they are overprotective of their mates. Fennec foxes are monogamous,
which means they have one mate for their whole life. Having so many mouths to feed is challenging,
especially for the male foxes, also called reynards, who bring food to the vixen, female foxes, and kits,
baby foxes (Animal Corner. Fennec

In the article it states The reason we have fast fashion is the cheap exploited labor around the world,

people were paid a living wage and working in safe and legal conditions. This explains that we rarely

Scafidi also states Yet with the demand for fast fashion an all time high, more and more clothes are
being made in the kinds of conditions that morally offend a lot of people in the Western world and
without these kinds of well publicized tragedies, shoppers don t even think about it. Scafidi displays

Compare And Contrast A Streetcar Named Desire And Death Of...
The end of World War II in the late 1940 s brought the opportunity to revitalize a bleeding nation. The
restoration of peace following this successful feat ushered in an era of optimism. If hard work could
win the war, then it could also bring possibility. Once again, the hope of achieving the American
Dream was alive with the belief of attainable success. However, such sentiment was not shared by
authors and playwrights of the modernism movement. Both Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller saw
past the shiny veneer of hope to the consequence of believing in such a dream. In his 1947 work, A
Streetcar Named Desire, Williams highlights the culture shock of the melting pot that is New Orleans.
Following in 1949, Miller focuses on the Death of a Salesman and the side effects of burgeoning
commercialization. Despite their differences in setting, both A Streetcar Named Desire and Death of a
Salesman delve into the facade of the American Dream and the cost many pay for desperately and
fruitlessly chasing after it. In prominent lines by Blanche and Willy, both playwrights explore the web
of misconceptions and false ideals that surround the perception of the American Dream. In A Streetcar
Named Desire, Blanche s seemingly quintessential Southern Belle demeanor is laid bare by Mitch s
curiosity. When attempting to see Blanche in bare light, Mitch s realism is met by Blanche s quick
rejection when she exclaims I don t want realism. I want magic! Yes, yes, magic! I try to give that

license plate reader is not discriminative and does not choose which license plate to read and raise
alarm; it is not discretionary, it reads all the plates. (Beyerlein 2009)
The license plate reader is also looks after the well being of an officer in that after picking up a

than where an officer flags down a suspect not knowing how dangerous the criminal is. (Hanlon 2007)

Bilingual Education Is Important For Students
For this investigative assignment, I interviewed three of my closest friends about their perspectives on
bilingual education in the United States. One of my friends, who I will call A, said that bilingual
education is important for students because it helps them broaden their perspectives on the world.
Students are exposed to learn different cultures and respect them, promoting multiculturalism in our
country. A said that if students were only exposed to English only classroom setting, they would most
likely be ignorant of other cultures. She also told me about her experience when she was in an ESL
program during her middle school year. She described the program as useless because she and her
classmates learned broken English from each other. She somehow managed to get out of the program
and put herself into the mainstream English class. My other friend, who I will call B, stated that
bilingual education is helpful in developing a wider cultural perspective and cultivating a person
suitable for the globalized world. As a foreign born American and working as an international student
coordinator, she emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and respecting different cultures. She
believes that bilingual education can help students to achieve better knowledge on growing
multiculturalism in our country. My last interviewee, who I will call C, also believes that bilingual
education is important to cultivate young minds by helping them to respect not only their own but

by her hasty marriage to Logan Killicks, a man far beyond the tumultuous spring of youth that Janie is
in the midst of in this passage.
The passages with the mulberry tree in Seraph on the Suwanee focus more on a sense of rebirth. When
Arvey first takes Jim to the mulberry tree, it is because she wants a cleansing of her sacred place from
her old feelings for Carl. The images of the new mulberries growing perpetuate this theme of rebirth in
this scene. The word green also repeats itself, implying a sense of youth. This is not so much
maturation for Arvey (as it was for Janie) as it is a rebirth, a changing of her ways as well as an
introduction into sexuality. The actual scene where Arvey loses her virginity is rife with violent
images; the tearing have cloth, the gritting of teeth, juxtaposed against images of passion. It is ironic
that this should occur in her green temple of peace, but at the same time, Arvey is essentially finally
crossing the bridge

Joel Kotkin The Problem With Being Global Summary
Greetings to All,
After reading the article The Problem with Being Global, by Joel Kotkin, it brought back memories
from when I used to work and live in Bedford Stuyvesant (Bed Stuy) in Brooklyn, NY from 2002 to
2005.
A Global city does accommodate both the global and local identity of the people that reside within the
area. Two perfect examples are Paris and Manhattan. Paris keeps the local atmosphere of times ago, to
include that there are tours that people can take to show the catacombs that exist under ground the city
from back in the days of the Black Plague and thousands died and graves had to be reused. Manhattan
has its areas dedicated to specific cultures that previously dominated them like Little Italy, China
Town, to the most ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As Kotkin quotes Kapur, [t]his leaves the primary global cities as centers for both concentrated wealth
and the greatest poverty, as we have seen in London, New York and other major global cities (Kotkin,
2014). There will still be wealthy people living in the outskirts of the urban environments, but what
about the inner city limits? This is where the middle and working class are driven to, and subcultures

Essay Fight Club
Chuck Palahniuk s Fight Club is a seductive novel which chronicles an unnamed narrator s ability to
cope with an emasculated, self centered, materialistic society by creating an alter ego. Throughout the
text, the theme of the emasculated modern man is presented both in the life of the narrator, and in the
lives of the male characters he surrounds himself with. Through notions of absent fathers,
consumerism and an innocuous/aimless existence, Palahniuk presents how men in modern society
have lost their masculine identity and the extreme actions they go to in order to obtain it again.
Belittled by their absent fathers, broken homes, and a feminine centered society, the men in Fight Club
present an incisive notion of the lives of modern ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Fight Club, then, is a way which men can express their angst in a much more masculine, albeit
sadomasochistic, way. The invention of Fight Club is never stated directly, but its intention is
indicated through the language of the narrator and the rationale of its members. Foremost, the narrator
describes the members of Fight Club as a generation of men raised by women (50). The masculine
identity, then, is an identity which has been lost to the feminized egotism in a deranged reality of
postmodernism. Coupled with the lack of absent fathers the generation of modern men are wildly
feminized. The narrator describes how his father abandoned him to set up new families or franchises
(50) every six years, and states that he is a thirty year old boy [...] wondering if another woman is
really the answer [he] needs (51). The absent fathers in the narrator s, and equally in Tyler s, life
eventually lead to the invention of Fight Club. Fight club is a way in which emasculated men can act
the way men are supposed to and finally find a masculine figure to model themselves after. In creating
Tyler, the narrator s search for a masculine model is taken to the extreme. Tyler is a manifestation of
man who the narrator and other men can model themselves after. Tyler represents the masculine
identity, Tyler is funny and charming and forceful and independent, and men look up to him and
expect him to change their world the narrator explains

Analysis Of Toni Morrison s The Book And The Conference
On November 3rd, I attended the conference in the United Nations building which was dedicated to
the International decade for people of African descent. The speakers not only spoke about the many
problems African American population in the United States faces today, more importantly, they
mentioned in their speeches slavery and slave trade, known as the Middle Passage. People of African
descent struggled and still struggle all over the world, fighting for their rights and against racism.
Coincidentally, prior to the conference, I ve finished re reading Toni Morrison Beloved. Morrison, who
won the Nobel prize for this book, directly addresses the issue of slavery and slave crossing in her
novel; the book and the conference inspired me to write on this topic. Beloved is not only a title of the
story, it is also a name, given to one of the main characters by her mother, who also appears to be her
killer. Toni Morrison narrates the story of the family that is placed in the magical realism where dead
come back to life; Beloved is not only the lost daughter, she also is the embodiment of all the dead
victims of slavery, who ask to be remembered. Beloved is the only book for as long as I can remember
I had difficulty while reading. It is very dense and complex to understand, because nothing makes
sense from the very beginning. I suspect that Toni Morrison challenged not only me, but many readers
all over the world. The topics she chose to write about is uncomfortable both the

Washington and his men forcing them to retreat to New Jersey. The Battle of Brooklyn was a

President Nkrumah s The Fight Against Imperialism
President Nkrumah s ideology and ability to mobilize a continent of individuals was based heavily on
his dedication to inform the oppressed about the current war being waged. This new war expanded
across continents and was described as neocolonialism. President Nkrumah inspired further
generations of likeminded individuals such as Kwame Ture who adopted Nkrumah s first name. In
order to understand both Kwame Ture and Kwame Nkrumah s influence in the fight against
imperialism it is important to understand both men s definition of colonialism in Africa and The
Americas. Both individuals offer a way to destroy these mechanisms in hopes that African and Latin
American countries can find unity and freedom from Imperialism. President Nkrumah describes neo
colonialism as a mechanism existing through economic, political, religious, ideological, and cultural
means at the hands of the Western World and their pre existing colonizers. Neo colonialism is
regarded as the birth child of early colonialism by European and American countries. Colonialism
sucked the resources dry from the countries in which they occupied. Colonizers then sold the products
in their home countries, leaving little to spare for the Indian, African, and Latin American inhabitants
who continued to live in poverty. President Nkrumah describes this new form of colonialism as
switching tactics. He describes these imperialist tactics; as methods of promoting independence and
freedom when in reality they are

Marriage of Love (Sonnet 116 by William Shakespeare)
Love is not love, alters when it alteration finds, or bends with the remover to remove the first phrase
Love is not love, alter when it alteration finds, simply means that love is not love when it continues to
change even when one person has noticed that their beloved has changed. However, If one partner
changes, the relationship should stay the same and not be affected by an alternative individual. The
second phrase used by Shakespeare is or bends with remover to remove, this phrase basically means
that love is not love if it changes with another individual or person. In order words, love is constant
and must work with an adapting or suitable individuals
Therefore, according to my close reading analysis the poem (Sonnet 116 by Shakespeare) is a fourteen
line poem that is organized into three quatrains, ending with a rhymed couplet. It also has a regular
stress pattern which makes the reader to go through some difficulty in understanding what the author
is trying to convey in his poem. The first quatrain of the poem began with a statement to puzzle upon

Plurality And Pluralism In Islam
Based upon my further observation as a scholar and a Muslim, I find a lot of incompatibility about
your interpretation of Islam with the Qur an. The Qur an implies that all religions shall be more
emphasis on pluralism (diversity and tolerance), and I do believe in it. According to my understanding
on pluralism in Islam, it emphasizes more to the religious tolerance, and does not view Islam as the
only religion to be recognized in the world. Pluralism I meant here also can simply be recognized as a
major foundation in maintaining the state and the society because basically people are diverse one
another. As a true pluralism means acknowledging that all members of society have a right to be able
to embrace the religion in which accordance with their beliefs and everyone is obliged to respect and

This verse explains that as human beings, we are not only taught to get to know each other, but also
have to respect each other and receive a plurality of the society such as religion. Do not get me wrong.
Once again, Pluralism I meant here is respect and tolerance between individuals in religions. We are
all created differently, but is equal in the eyes of Allah; therefore, we should all be able to respect and
tolerate all the differences that exist. In the Qur an itself, Allah also explained as the following verse:

The Arrival Of Islam And Islam
The arrival of Islam brought many changes to Arabian life and society as it then existed. One of these
changes was among the treatment of women and their place in society. Before the coming of Islam in
the 7th century, women were thought to be inferior servants to men. The arrival of Islam throughout
Arabia opened many opportunities for women that allowed them more rights and more influence on
the basis of equality.
The arrival of Islam is what was crucial for women to be seen as human beings. Women were thought
to have the same capabilities as men and seen to have the same chance as men at a fulfilling religious
life. Islam confirmed her capacity to carry out Allah s commands, her responsibilities and observation
of the commands that lead to heaven. Islam considered the woman as a worthy human being, with a
share in humanity equal to that of the man. Men and women also possessed equality within the context
of religious duties required by Islam. Both genders shared the same responsibilities. The woman is
also required to perform religious ordinances and forms of worship the way the man is. Praying,
fasting, Zakat (the alms sanctifying tax), pilgrimage and all the other fundamental practices in Islam
are required of Muslims in their capacity, both men and women, as responsible humans. While women
were given many responsibilities to carry out, having equal humanity also gave them more rights than
they had before.

Jack Russells Vs Boxers Essay
Robert Wagner once said, A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life,
things won t be too bad. Both Jack Russells and Boxers are dogs with big hearts full of love. Jack
Russells weigh about 10 to 12 pounds, and live 13 to 15 years. Boxers on the other hand, are 60 to 70
pounds and live 10 to 12 years. The two dogs also have similar body structures which is strange
considering how different they look. One similar body structure is that they are both born with long
tails. Boxers usually get their tails clipped, therefore they can keep their Boxer look. Jack Russells
keep their long tails throughout their whole life. Both companions need room to run outside. The two
dogs have a lot of energy and they love to be outdoors. Both animals are big bundles of fun when it

Due to the dramatic changes in the culture of the United States like flappers and such, many of these
fundamentalists, who had mainly protestant and traditionalist ideals, felt as if what they were so
passionate about was being disregarded and disrespected. Moreover, this cannot be seen more like in
the monkey trial. As noted in the article, Change and Reaction in the 1920s , many states enacted a
law that did not allow schools to teach evolution because that went against the bible, on of those states
was Tennessee. A teacher from Tennessee named John Scopes was soon put on trial due to him
breaking this law. Also, Scopes trial was the first ever broadcast over radio and became a national
event primarily because of the notoriety of the attorneys representing each side... The high point came
when Darrow called Bryan, a recognized lay authority on the Bible, as a witness, and Bryan admitted
on the stand that it was possible that creation may not have taken place in six, 24‐hour days, thereby
refuting a literal interpretation of the Bible. Nonetheless, the jury found Scopes guilty of violating the

Pickleball Experience
This unit was about pickleball. I had never heard of pickleball before this unit.We were asked to study
it and played it several times in our lessons. It was quite fun as we played and learned all the rules too.
Pickle ball can be a two player game or a four player game. It uses a wooden paddle and a plastic ball
and a net. The plastic ball is light weight and empty so that it doesn t sink down really quick. We
played two player games and four player games. At first I found it quite fun,I was paired with my
friend. One time I forgot the starting rules, I needed to hit the ball with an under arm hit while
standing on the right side and hit the opposite left side of the court. Instead the ball landed on the right
of the court which resulted

WAP Gateway WAP does not offer end to end security. WAP contraptions talk with web servers

The Importance Of Cultural Identity
We all have unique identities that we develop within our cultures, but these identities are not fixed or
static (Trumbull and Pacheco 8). People should examine their culture to have a better understanding of
how it affects their identity and perceptions. In order to understand one s cultural identity, he or she
need to understand what the term means. According to one source, cultural identity can be defined as,
These different experiences and the new values, beliefs, and ideas they produce contribute to the
dynamic nature of cultures (Trumbull and Pacheco 10). Considering this definition, I realize that my
cultural identity can be best represented by ethnicity because it expresses my individuality as a person.
Various aspects of a person s life that may determine his or her cultural identity includes ethnicity,
language, art, location, food, traditions, and history. After analyzing several texts, the reader
recognizes that three important elements of a person s cultural identity include ethnicity, location, and
food. An important element of a person s cultural identity is ethnicity. A person s ethnicity has an

M2 Part
M2 part Considering your work for Task 2 e or f, indicate how some of the fundamental principles of
HCI have been applied and how the specific need has been met. In this part of the assignment I will be
reflecting on the specialist input (e) design I have designed. I have designed a keyboard which has
Braille keys, for the purpose of the people who are blind, as this keyboard will be an advantage for the
blind which means that they will not be isolated just because they are blind, but in fact using this
keyboard the blind can continue their daily lives like others going to work and schools etc. One of the
Fundamental principles of HCI is that the user has ease of use, and I have applied this principle in my
design allows people to type ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The effectiveness of HCI can also be measured by doing tests on that HCI to see how much errors it
has, and after doing tests if the results show that it has a lot of errors then that HCI will not be a very
effective. This is because a lot of errors on a HCI can make the user slow down when interacting with
the HCI, but if there are not that much errors then it can be known as an effective HCI, because the
user can use it effectively without having to troubleshoot. The effectiveness of HCI can be measured
by the understanding of the user and to what extent the user has the knowledge and understanding of
the HCI. If it seems as though that the user does not have the understanding of the HCI then the
conclusion would be that the HCI is not very effective. But if the user is understanding the HCI and
can easily interact with the HCI then

  • 2. Pros And Cons Of Organ Donation Should Not Be Compulsory Organ donation is based on a simple concept of respect, if you want to donate you can, or if you are concerned about if you don t have to. It s a personal choice. Making organ donation compulsory isn t as easy as it is said. I believe that there will be a lot of problems if organ donation is made compulsory in Australia. Firstly, it would upset a lot of people who follow various religions. Secondly, a lot of money would be required to make this a reality. Lastly, people will be deprived of their freedom of choice. Therefore I believe that organ donation should not be made compulsory. Mandatory organ donation would affect numerous people that follow various religions. Every religion has its own beliefs about organ donation. For example in Hinduism they believe that the body should not be tampered before cremation or they will be dammed in their after life. Now knowing this, if the government make rules that force people to go beyond their consent and religion why do we call ourselves a democratic country? Now this may sound ridiculous from a science point of view, but those who believe in this it is a reality in the state of mind. Therefore I believe that forcefully legislating laws in favour of compulsory organ donation is unreasonable, unnecessary and unintelligent. Making organ donation compulsory comes with an astronomical cost. The government would need to spend the money we pay as taxes to hire skilled medical professionals, buy advanced surgical equipment and create ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Creationism Vs Evolutionism Essay Evolutionism vs Creationism has been one of the largest ongoing debates ever since Charles Darwin threw his theory on the table. So far, neither argument has enough evidence to be proven, yet we still teach one as fact in public education. Every genesis is dependent on trust and acceptance. Religious theories, such as Creationism, require a belief in an intelligent God or in gods, which can neither be proved nor disproved. Evolution requires faith in chance, time, and natural selection to explain the precision tuned conditions that make Earth perfect for life. The Big Bang concept requires acceptance of something we cannot see (See Space.com or Universe Today). Today, evolution is one of main geneses being taught in public education. It has, however, several holes that are often avoided when taught. Let s just take a look at the origin of life. Life could not have started in the presence of oxygen, like that in our atmosphere. Evolutionists claim earth s early atmosphere was void of oxygen. Scientific evidence today shows that earth s early atmosphere may have had even more oxygen than today. Even allowing that theory, without oxygen there would be no ozone and, without ozone, life would have burnt from the ultraviolet radiation. To account for this, evolutionists say life started underwater. The water would have quickly split the molecules of any proteins that formed. Furthermore, of the 2,000 amino acids that exist, only around 20 are used in life. Every amino acid in proteins ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 4. Socrates Law Beliefs And Society Law, beliefs and society. Laws are not standard. They changes from state to state and obviously from country to country. Athenians judicial system condemned to death a man for having a different belief than theirs and in this essay I claim that Socrates acceptance of death under a failing judicial system is unvirtuous although he tries to make it seem as a virtuous and civic act. Socrates aberration for obeying the law is pointless. If he wants to be virtuous he must go against the system. He needs to continue fighting back and convince others to join his cause. Evidence will be shown from Apology and Crito to prove this claim. Resistance as civic virtue isn t death a resistance? Virtue is found in pointing out the wrong until something is done to make it right. Socrates tells Crito whether we must follow the opinion of the many and fear it or instead the opinion of the one person, if there is someone who has knowledge, whom we must defer to and fear more than all the others together (Crito 47d). He is telling us that we must follow the right path, obey the one who is right and ignore the mob but he is not that by subjugating to asthenias beliefs made laws. I consider his subjugation an unvirtuous act that shows he has just given up on his cause, he prefers not to fight back and every fleeing option suggested has already been marked as impossible. When Socrates accepts death and stops caring for the spread of his beliefs he contradicts himself from obeying the right and is following mobocracy. By saying And at the same time, I am not accustomed to deem myself worthy of anything bad (Apology 38b) Socrates is expressing that he is living a rightful examined life and if we evaluate this quotation from the cause effect point given by Socrates we can say that an examined life (cause) is worth living (effect) which leads us to the outcome that If he does not consider himself guilty of the accusations therefore he deserves to live. In both dialogues Socrates expresses little or no desire for escaping which makes me think that either he gave up on his cause or he does not want to go through the suffering of being seen as unvirtuous if he flees. His life as a fugitive from justice is not the best life a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In it is a version of the black plague, which is called the Red Death . Prince Prospero secludes a thousand friends and himself from the death around them, but finds that he cannot avoid the inevitable. The author uses many literary devices to develop the theme of unavoidable death. One of the devices used is imagery, which evokes the events of the story clearly in the reader s mind. Another is allegory, which is used by Poe to create another story within his, as it is filled with double meanings. Lastly, Poe utilizes symbolism to give the story meaning. Edgar Allan Poe uses imagery, allegory, and symbolism to add dimension to his story and to express the theme that one cannot escape death, no matter how hard one tries. Poe uses imagery to paint a picture in readers mind, create a mood, and emphasize the significance of certain objects. One can envision the amazement of the chambers, which had ...a tall and narrow Gothic window...of stained glass whose color varied in accordance with the...hue...of the chamber into which it opened and was lit up by ...a brazier of fire that projected its rays through the tinted glass (421). • 6. Child Health And Human Development INTRODUCTION Many diseases have been discovered, studied, and are diagnosed to many individuals of different ages today. Of all individuals premature babies are prime to acquiring diseases, as their immune system has not reached full term. Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) derives from a European literature that help define the disease as, necrotizing meaning death of tissues, entero referring to the small intestines, colo is the large intestine, and itis meaning inflammation.8 Necrotizing enterocolitis is the most common and devastating disease in neonates. It is a gastrointestinal disease that affects distant organs such as the brain and places affected infants at substantially increased risk for neurodevelopmental delays.3, 8 The ... Infants with NEC are those 5% of infants who are most sick found in the NICU that display a large amount of morbidity and mortality and low rate of survival. 3,13,14 Once an infant is diagnosed with NEC there is little treatment that can differ the course of the disease. 8 The studies with NEC have been able to help researchers with diagnosis, but it remains baffling.9 The treatment of NEC is difficult, and faulty, pathogenesis is still to be proven, and no effective prevention strategy has been complied with.9 With the lack of improvement shown in the mortality rate for NEC over the past years, medical investigators have to re examine epidemiologic factors involved with NEC to search for strategies to prevent and treat the disease. 8 EPIDEMIOLOGY Neonates with necrotizing enterocolitis have been studied to be able to get a greater understanding of how this disease occurs and the types of preventions that can be placed to be able to ... Enoch Arden Professor Beggs English 101 MW12 17 September 2009 Enoch Arden s Charity and Goodwill In Alfred Tennyson s poem of skilled writing, Enoch Arden , Enoch leaves his family to better serve them as a husband and father. The poem firmly establishes the perplexity of one s generous personality. Enoch leaves his family to better the lives for each of them in a manner that reflects a view of personal toil and hardship to support the family in economic downfall. Also in Enoch s absence it is written that Philip Ray provides for Enoch s children and wife Annie Lee, enabling the thought of generosity and charitable goodwill toward the character. As these examples can now be seen self evident; there is no argument to not see this poem as not a literary work of art but a reinforcement of charity and goodwill. This work can be compared to any revolutionary writing; Enoch Arden revolutionizes today s world by inspiring one to become charitable and goodwilled. Enoch Arden, Philip Ray, Annie Lee, and Miriam Lane can all be seen as charitable and good willed people whom one may look up too. It is apparent these character s have all suffered but have refused for it to get in the way of their charity and goodwill manner. • 8. The Rate a Drug is Released in the Body Rate of drug release at any given location within gastrointestinal tract depends on the mechanism by which the drug released from pellets and local environment within git. In order to predict in vivo behavior of dosage forms, knowledge of release mechanism and physiological conditions of git should be understood. Type of coating and method of applying coating will determine dominant mechanism of drug release from coated pellets. Release kinetic is predominantly determined by the behavior of coating material under physiological conditions of git. Multiparticulates coated for extended release purpose; release the drug by eighter diffusion or erosion or combination of these mechanisms. Pellets coated with polymer not soluble under gi conditions releases drug by 4 different mechanisms: 1. Solution/ diffusion through the continuous plasticized polymer phase This mechanism is based on assumption that the polymer forms a continuous phase in which the plasticizer other additives are homogeneously dispersed. When polymer film is formed, it contains molecular sized openings between crosslinked chains of polymer. Plasticizer other additives affects wetting of these openings as well as interchain dimensions by changing the crosslinking properties of polymer chains which are critical for diffusion of drug. Mostly, drug molecules diffuse through these openings in a process known as hindered molecular diffusion. It is an activated process wherein thermal fluctuations of chain segments ... • 9. The Effects Of Drought On Human Consumption Throughout the past century many areas of the Western United States have faced agricultural concerns, many environmental hazards, and economical stressors stemming from severe drought. According to livescience.com, a drought can be described as a period of unusually dry weather that persists long enough to cause environmental or economic problems. (Oskin, 2014) Droughts are natural occurrences that have been happening for hundreds of years, and although their effects haven t been documented that long, scientists have been able to identify their impacts by using various research methods. Droughts are fairly complex issues that can have many impacts on humans as well as be influenced by human interactions with the environment. Negative impacts are being felt currently in the Western US and are not showing signs of slowing up. Drought is highly dependent on human consumption of water be it for agricultural, industrial, or household uses. There are many issues regarding human consumption of water, but one of the most notable is the fact that we have very little fresh water available that can be accessed and used by humans. According to the USGS, about 71% of the Earth s surface is water covered, and the oceans hold about 96.5% of all Earth s water (Perlman, 2014). This is a pretty humbling statistic, and brings to light how easily water can become scarce. With less than 3% of the Earth s water being readily available for consumption, humans do not have much room for waste. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Aristotle defines the constitution as a certain ordering of the inhabitants of the city state. (1) The ancient Athenian government was a democracy. Foxes are known for their cunning, and slyness. They are often portrayed as beady eyed tricksters whose goal is to harm someone. One reason for this is because of their resilient ability to survive. No matter what is thrown at them, or what conditions they must live in, they always stand strong. One of the most resolute of them all is the small but fierce fennec fox. The fennec fox is the smallest canine in the world, ranging from 9 to 16 inches in length and weighing only 2 to 3 pounds (World book. Fennec). These endearing creatures don t look like your typical beady eyed tricksters. In fact, their big brown eyes look quite a bit like melted chocolate. The restoration of peace following this successful feat ushered in an era of optimism. If hard work could win the war, then it could also bring possibility. Once again, the hope of achieving the American Dream was alive with the belief of attainable success. However, such sentiment was not shared by authors and playwrights of the modernism movement. Both Tennessee Williams and Arthur Miller saw past the shiny veneer of hope to the consequence of believing in such a dream. In his 1947 work, A Streetcar Named Desire, Williams highlights the culture shock of the melting pot that is New Orleans. Following in 1949, Miller focuses on the Death of a Salesman and the side effects of burgeoning commercialization. Despite their differences in setting, both A Streetcar Named Desire and Death of a Salesman delve into the facade of the American Dream and the cost many pay for desperately and fruitlessly chasing after it. In prominent lines by Blanche and Willy, both playwrights explore the web of misconceptions and false ideals that surround the perception of the American Dream. In A Streetcar Named Desire, Blanche s seemingly quintessential Southern Belle demeanor is laid bare by Mitch s curiosity. In 1924, Art and Archaeology stated Grauman s Egyptian is not made up of grotesque statues, sphinxes, pyramids, and meaningless signs in lieu of hieroglyphics, but is a replica of real Egyptian art and architecture (Handy, 2008). Concrete, plaster and stone blocks were used to save costs and looked similar to those used in Ancient Egyptian architecture (Ames Wagner 2009, p 125). The entire theatre s decor consisted of motifs such as hieroglyphs, animal headed gods, pharaohs, jackals, winged scarabs, bas relief sphinx heads (Handy, 2008). The Veldt, By George And Lydia Hadley In The Veldt, George and Lydia Hadley are the parents of Wendy and Peter Hadley, and they live in a technologically driven house that will do everything for its inhabitants transport them upstairs, brushes their teeth, cook their food, and clean the house. The story begins when Lydia asks George if he s noticed anything wrong with the nursery, the most expensive and exciting room of the house. The glass walls have the ability to project the landscape and environment of any place that the mind of the visitor wishes. During this particular visit, George and Lydia are surrounded by the African countryside. In the distance, lions are licking the bones of their prey clean. The images are so startlingly life like that when the holographic lions begin to charge, George and Lydia run for the door to escape. Outside of the nursery, Lydia comments that she heard screams coming from the room earlier in the day, but George tries to ease her worries. He wants to believe that the children are psychologically healthy, not that they are fixated on blood and violence. After all, one of the selling points of the room was that the children would be able to use the room as an outlet for their emotions, and the places that the room visited would provide information for the adults who were curious about the young minds. Lydia senses that something dark is brooding in her children s brain. As they sit down to dinner, which is all provided through the house s technology, George suggests ... Nature Themes in Hurston s Novels, Their Eyes Were Watching God and Seraph on the Suwanee Nature themes resound throughout Hurston s Their Eyes Were Watching God and Seraph on the Suwanee. Perhaps two of the most notable instances where the lush Florida scenery augments the novels plot lines are the tree scenes , in which Janie kisses Johnny Taylor beneath the pear tree in Their Eyes Were Watching God (p. 10 12) and Arvey loses her virginity to Jim beneath the mulberry tree in Seraph on the Suwanee (p. 37 pp. 50 53). In Janie s revelation about her sexuality, she longs to be a pear tree any tree in bloom! This metaphor for Janie s youth and vitality suggest she is in the spring of her life, with her glossy leaves and bursting buds and struggling to make sense of the marriage that is buzzing through the air with bees. Thus in this scene, Janie crosses the threshold from childhood to adulthood, a passage made complete by her hasty marriage to Logan Killicks, a man far beyond the tumultuous spring of youth that Janie is in the midst of in this passage. The passages with the mulberry tree in Seraph on the Suwanee focus more on a sense of rebirth. When Arvey first takes Jim to the mulberry tree, it is because she wants a cleansing of her sacred place from her old feelings for Carl. The images of the new mulberries growing perpetuate this theme of rebirth in this scene. The word green also repeats itself, implying a sense of youth. This is not so much maturation for Arvey (as it was for Janie) as it is a rebirth, a changing of her ways as well as an introduction into sexuality. The actual scene where Arvey loses her virginity is rife with violent images; the tearing have cloth, the gritting of teeth, juxtaposed against images of passion. It is ironic that this should occur in her green temple of peace, but at the same time, Arvey is essentially finally crossing the bridge ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay Fight Club Chuck Palahniuk s Fight Club is a seductive novel which chronicles an unnamed narrator s ability to cope with an emasculated, self centered, materialistic society by creating an alter ego. Throughout the text, the theme of the emasculated modern man is presented both in the life of the narrator, and in the lives of the male characters he surrounds himself with. Through notions of absent fathers, consumerism and an innocuous/aimless existence, Palahniuk presents how men in modern society have lost their masculine identity and the extreme actions they go to in order to obtain it again. The Fight Club, then, is a way which men can express their angst in a much more masculine, albeit sadomasochistic, way. The invention of Fight Club is never stated directly, but its intention is indicated through the language of the narrator and the rationale of its members. Foremost, the narrator describes the members of Fight Club as a generation of men raised by women (50). The masculine identity, then, is an identity which has been lost to the feminized egotism in a deranged reality of postmodernism. Coupled with the lack of absent fathers the generation of modern men are wildly feminized. The speakers not only spoke about the many problems African American population in the United States faces today, more importantly, they mentioned in their speeches slavery and slave trade, known as the Middle Passage. People of African descent struggled and still struggle all over the world, fighting for their rights and against racism. Coincidentally, prior to the conference, I ve finished re reading Toni Morrison Beloved. Morrison, who won the Nobel prize for this book, directly addresses the issue of slavery and slave crossing in her novel; the book and the conference inspired me to write on this topic. Beloved is not only a title of the story, it is also a name, given to one of the main characters by her mother, who also appears to be her killer. Toni Morrison narrates the story of the family that is placed in the magical realism where dead come back to life; Beloved is not only the lost daughter, she also is the embodiment of all the dead victims of slavery, who ask to be remembered. Beloved is the only book for as long as I can remember I had difficulty while reading. It is very dense and complex to understand, because nothing makes sense from the very beginning. President Nkrumah describes neo colonialism as a mechanism existing through economic, political, religious, ideological, and cultural means at the hands of the Western World and their pre existing colonizers. Neo colonialism is regarded as the birth child of early colonialism by European and American countries. Colonialism sucked the resources dry from the countries in which they occupied. Colonizers then sold the products in their home countries, leaving little to spare for the Indian, African, and Latin American inhabitants who continued to live in poverty. Women were thought to have the same capabilities as men and seen to have the same chance as men at a fulfilling religious life. Islam confirmed her capacity to carry out Allah s commands, her responsibilities and observation of the commands that lead to heaven. Islam considered the woman as a worthy human being, with a share in humanity equal to that of the man. Men and women also possessed equality within the context of religious duties required by Islam.
