place and briefly look at the regulations governing employers.
The module then addresses how to attend to a casualty in a
first aid situation, and details the steps of The Primary Survey.

should include.

The First Aid In The
Workplace training course
provides the learner with a
comprehensive grounding in
first aid and details the
practical skills needed to
confidently deliver assistance
in a workplace emergency.
The course meets the
standard required to comply
with Health and Safety (First
aid) regulations. The course is
designed to be instructive and
engaging, with a balance of practical
and theoretical information, and
engaging video content to illustrate
learning points.
This course is designed for people who
are new to the subject of workplace first aid
and who want by the end of the course to have
the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
In Module Two we move on to the stages of The Secondary
Survey and how to safely put a casualty into the recovery posi-
tion. The module also explains how to practically respond in
some common first aid situations such as choking.

In Module Three we explore some other commonplace inju-
ries that can occur in the workplace, such as burns, broken
bones and head injuries.

of the common secondary illnesses and conditions that you
may come across in your workplace and explains how to iden-
tify and treat each one.
• Asthma
• Epilepsy
• Allergic reactions and anaphylaxis
• Heart attacks
• Diabetes

Further Secondary Illnesses and Conditions This module looks
at more secondary illnesses and conditions that have the
potential to be life-threatening if not identified and dealt with
quickly.
• Hyperventilation

• Making an arm sling
• Recordkeeping

By the end of the course learners will be able to demonstrate that they can:
