● You can also use an electric jigsaw

9. Joining with joints
● Involves cutting slots into both parts so that they fit together
● joints can be strengthened with adhesive

10. Drilling and boring
● To bore holes by hand, use gimlets and braces
● You can use an electric drill with wood drill bits

11. Finishing
● Wood is usually protected using paint or varnish
