Cognitive Disabilities
The book discusses the major issues surrounding the advantages and disadvantages of teaching
students with cognitive disabilities in the general education classroom. One of the major issues
addressed is the need and reasoning to why students with cognitive disabilities should be taught in
the general educationclassroom. The other issue addressed is the use of the Universal Learning
Design that allows for adequate adaptions and modifications for students with cognitive and
intellectual disabilities with the intentions to increase educational expectations and access to the
general curriculum. The author believes that all students regardless of severity of disabilitywill gain
some form of knowledge whether it is meaningful social interaction,

New Economics Consultant Charged With Analyze The Various...
I ve been hired by cities mayor and am now the newest economics consultant charged with
analyze the various local businesses market structures. This city has numerous businesses which
leads to many different market structures. There are large factories or plants, almost every chain
fast food restaurant, nicer sit down restaurants, mom and pop shops, along with our share of Wal
Mart s and other larger all in one stores, and we also have the city ran utilities. This town is
competitive and thriving with a strong economical foundation fueled by a good sized population
to keep many businesses from having to look too far for employees. New businesses have opened
recently and are thriving. With keeping a good mix of market structures the economy will
continue to grow. Multiple market structures will help to create a thriving economy, although they
are all different, they provide income to the city in way of taxes, employment to our citizens, and
understanding how each operates and prices their goods can help this city prepare for its financial
future. We will need to analyze each market separately to show the differences and the similarities
so as to understand their effects on the community and whether they allow room for entry and exit
of new firms in order to grow our city economically. There are four market structures that I will
provide analysis on. Perfect competitionis a market structure in which there any many sellers and
many buyers where not one firm (business)

Data Assemblage And Compilation Process Improves
The seemingly qualitative nature and vague definitions of the targets suggests that the accurate
measurement of the relevant data is challenging. However a rough estimation of all the targets can
easily be made through the many collection or modeling techniques available. Despite these
approximate results, as long as the measurement methods are kept constant, targets such as 7.2
and 7.3 can be assessed. Nonetheless if the data assemblage and compilation process improves,
this progress must be factored into the comparative results. Target 7.1 is less black and white in
nature, and would need a more specific target purpose to be effectively measured. Targets 7.a and
7.b are very qualitative and difficult to measure. They are however... Show more content on

For instance, some regions may be connected to the grid, but quality, reliability, and affordability
may render the utility inaccessible and/or outside of the individuals means CITATION UNE14 l
1033 (UN E, 2014).
Target 7.2 is the easiest of the targets to measure quantitatively. The indicator of concern is
renewable energy consumption, rather than renewable energy capacity. This is because most
renewable energy sources (solar, wind, etc.) have fluctuating production cycles, which lead to
large power losses CITATION UNE14 l 1033 (UN E, 2014). This data is collected by the
International Energy Agency and UN Statistics and prepared into a series of energy balance
reports where the renewable and conventional consumption can be analyzedCITATION IEAEd l
1033 (IEA, 2015 Ed). Currently the IEA reports the renewable share constitutes 15% of the energy
mixCITATION SE4151 l 1033 (SE4ALL(2), 2015). However inability to trace the source of
significant components of the renewable sector (wood/charcoal), does not differentiate between
sustainable production or not.
It is not possible to accurately measure Target 7.3 directly because of the broad range of outputs
involved. Instead, the use of a proxy, energy intensity (EI) makes it possible to model energy
efficiency (EE). EI is measured by the quantity of energy required to produce a monetary unit of
GDP, and is roughly inversely proportional to EE CITATION UNE14 l 1033 (UN E, 2014). This
however is not optimal, and the relationship

Effects Of Exposure Of Females To Androgen Agonists
Exposure of females to androgen agonists imbalances sex hormones in the brain. Anxiety, mood
disorders, and pathopsychological behaviors are the resultant effects 1. These presentations are
caused by alteration in the amygdala region of the brain. For example, the expression of AR gene
inhibits anxiety is suppressed while increasing the expression of the serotoninergic GABAergic
receptor1. Exposure also causes infertility in some females. Where children are born, males are
prone to insulin resistance and obesity while females develop high androgen secretion that may
lead to PCOS and psychopathological disorders1. Studies also show that exposure at a prenatal
stage affects sexual orientation where such females tend to be sexually drawn to... Show more

Knighthood And Chivalry In The Tales Of Marie De France
The tales of Marie de France, shed light on the romantic relationships and chivalry of this time
period. This is very insightful for modern people to be able to read and understand the culture of
that time. Knighthood and chivalry were respected by some, but many times they were disregarded
for passion. Love and marriageare largely connected to physical attractiveness of the person and
the passion involved. Marriage is not a very serious commitment and will be disregarded whenever
another presents themselves as a more attractive lover. Religion is not huge in the stories but can
be present when looking for a lover. Magic plays a part in the Yonec and Bisclavret stories, but is
not largely present throughout.
In the tale of Equitan, the nature of knighthood and chivalry is shown through the relationship of
Equitan and his knight. Although Equitan had said that he was a man who upheld chivalry,
throughout the story he lusts, lies, and takes his knight s wife for his own. He begs her and
claims being sick until she is willing to be his, and this does not shed a positive light on his
chivalry and king s honor.
In Milun, honor has a big place in the story. For example, Milun must go to the other country to
fight the one knight who claims to be better than him to defend his honor. Although when he
realizes he has been beat by him he shows respect for him because he has truly been beat. His son
also shows respect when he sees his gray hair and recognizes that he had hurt an older man. This
shows the good side of chivalry where the knights respected each other and good duels.
The stories show that marriage and love is not regarded highly, Equitan steamrolls through his
knight s trust by taking his wife and scheming to kill him. Love is presented as the desire for
someone because of their looks. In the tale of Bisclavret, his wife s love and marriage is secondary
to is thinking that it is weird that her husband turns into a wolf. She does not really love him or
care for their marriage. She then uses a knight of her husband s to scheme to kill him by taking his
clothes. This shows how easy it was in that time for people to find others who desire them and are
willing to turn on the people their king.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Evaluation
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
Reality television has become one of the most common forms of entertainment in the American
household since the early 2000 s. From The Bachelor to Jersey Shore , no plot seems too racy or
inappropriate for audiences of all ages. Recently, however, TLC aired their newest reality TV
show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo that is thought to be one of the most controversial reality TV
series of all time. The show encompasses the lives of a small town, southern Georgian family who
live a frugal lifestyle, and demonstrate the self proclaimed stereotype of rednecks. Fascinatingly, the
series captures the quirky attitude of seven year old Alana Thompson, and her mother, June
Shannon. Although the series has produced high ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Amy Winter, general manager of TLC released a statement disclosing that What you see is what

this one that glorify lack of education, obesity, and teenage pregnancy be accurate
representations of American culture? The answer seems to be obvious when put into
perspective, however the show s clever catchphrases such as A dolla makes me holla! and You
better redneckonize! make the series out to be irresistible to some viewers. Ironically enough,
TLC originated as The Learning Channel, and previously aired documentaries that were
educational and appropriate for viewers of all ages. Subjects ranged from science, to nature, and
even current events. Its rival was of course, The Education Channel. Over the years, however,
TLC has picked up several reality TV shows including Say Yes to the Dress , Little People Big
World , and 19 Kids and Counting. Although each of these shows receives its fair share of
criticism, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has received the heaviest hits by far. The question we
should ask ourselves is what does this mean for the state of Georgia s public image in the national
light? A state that was the centerpiece for the civil rights movement, and is home to a city, Atlanta,
which has been a major hub in

Verbal Communication Coursework
Essay #1 The communication breakdown is caused in part by verbal communication, after the use
of jargon, affected by the johari window theory, createds physical noise and when insults triggered
semantic noise, and nonverbal communication, with the use of kinesics, proxemics, and
paralanguage, and could have been avoided if the orthodontist had not used jargon and if both the
assistant and orthodontist had practiced mindfulness during the scene. The communication
breakdown is caused in part verbal communication, when the use of jargon, affected by the johari
window theory, creates physical noise and when insults trigger semantic noise. When the
orthodontist uses jargon as he instructs the assistant, he causes physical noise that contributes to the
communication breakdown. The orthodontist instructs the assistant by stating Give me a 95 wire

The breakdown occurs as the assistant hands the wrong wire and instrument to the orthodontist.
The use of jargon is also affected by the way the johari window theory applies to this scene. In
this scene, the open pane of the assistant is very small and her hidden pane is large because she
does not know the orthodontist. One of the pieces of information lying in the hidden pane is her
lack of understanding of the jargon used in the scene. Her lack of comfortability with the
orthodontist causes her to keep this lack of knowledge in the hidden pane, shown by the narrator s
statement, She didn t want to embarrass herself by saying she did not know which wire is which...
which lead her to hand Dr. Lipinsky the random wire . If the assistant had been comfortable and
expanded the open window, she would not have caused a communication breakdown. Another
instance of noise caused by verbal communication, is the semantic noise triggered by insults. As the

Make Me Like A Well Watered Garden
MAKE ME LIKE A WELL WATERED GARDEN
It was the spring of 1980. My husband Ken and I had been in our first pastorate in the San
Joaquin Valley of California, known as the nation s Garden Spot , for almost a year. During the
summer of 79, several of our church members had generously shared with us the fruits of their
labors in their gardens and it seemed that everyone had a garden. Thus, when the spring of 1980
arrived, I, who never liked working in the dirt; I, who would rather wash, starch and iron shirts
than dig in a flower bed or weed a garden, decided we should have a vegetable garden. The former
pastor had two BIG ONES so surely, with the help of my pastor husband, who was reared on the
farm, we could have a lovely garden that would produce enough vegetables to feed us through
what Californians refer to as winter. Being the submissive wife that I was, I asked Ken what I
needed to do first. He borrowed a tiller (whatever that is) and began to prepare the soil for seeding.
All the weeds were cleared away, so that nothing was left but beautiful rich, brown dirt. Then he
made these little indentations, called furrows, down through the freshly plowed dirt and
smoothed it all out to perfection. Then I had to do the REAL work I dropped the seeds in those
little furrows. He came along behind me, covered the seeds with dirt, patted it down just so, and
then watered the entire plot. I was so proud! I had planted a garden! About three days later I said to

Self-Assessment
Humans have a fundamental tendency to seek positive information of themselves, namely engage
in self enhancing (Sedikides, 1993; Swann, Pelham, Krull, 1989). However, individuals are also
motivated to seek the subjective truth of themselves, namely engage in self verifying. (Sedikides,
1993; Swann et al., 1989). Simultaneously, individuals struggle and deject to seek objective and
accurate truth of themselves, namely engage in selfassessing (Sedikides, 1993). Self assessment can
occur through the process of self awareness, where individuals become conscious about their
behavior and thoughts and regulate according to their internal standards and values (Huggon, 2014).

A school s climate either positively or negatively affects teaching and learning within the school.
School administrators have the responsibility to ensure the school climate supports learning. This
responsibility can be met only when school leaders have an accurate understanding of climate in the
schools they serve. This causal comparative study examines administrators and teachers perceptions
of school climate among the academic, social, affective and physical domains of school climate,
using the revised School Level Environment Questionnaire (R SLEQ). Data are examined using
multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) to determine whether statistically significant
differences in climate perceptions exist between administrators and

Positive And Negative Effects Of GM Crops
Genetically Modified, or GM, crops were first designed in the mid late 1900 s when the idea to
create DNA emerged. They have proven to be genetically resistant to many diseases, leading to
greater yields of crops and less manual labor. Approximately 150 million hectares of land are
currently being used solely for GM plants. Farmer profits have increased by 66% and crop yields
have increased by 22%. With this success rate, it might be difficult to see the negative effects of
increasing the prevalence of GM Crops throughout the world and in the food supply. Although GM
plants have increased the international food supply and made the process of farming more efficient,
GM crops have actually decreased the biodiversity present in the world, harming the environment
they inhabit and the society that depends on them. Many developing countries have have actively
introduced GM plants into their agricultural sphere while many others are skeptical. Other countries
are divided; though their government may approve of the use of GMO s , many groups within the
nation are in opposition for adopting them. The issue about the use of GM crops continues to
remain a national issue, with each country being responsible for addressing it for their own
individual nation and citizens. In the past, the United Nations has established agencies, such as the
Food and AgricultureOrganization (FAO), to help research and address the development of
biotechnology for the agricultural sector in rural areas.

Don T Call Me Ishmael Bullying Quotes
The brilliant author, Michael Gerard Bauer, raises a key topic that affects many people in today s
society in his extraordinary novel, Don t Call Me Ishmael! Bauer wisely uses humorous situations
to pinpoint to young adults a well known problem in our society today, bullying. There is an
abundance of bullyingby one of the key characters in the book, the toughest and the meanest kid
in school, Barry Bagsley. Not only does Barry bully Ismael, but he also bullies other characters in
the book. At first Ishmael blames himself for the constant bullying he receives off Barry, however,
as the story continues Ishmael grows confidence and realises that Barry was the real problem and
bullying is strictly not allowed.
The horrendous acts of Barry affects many characters over the course of the novel, including Bill
Kingsley, James Scobie and Ishmael himself. The first and most obvious act of bullying seen in
the book is during roll call when Ishmael s name is called out. Barry being the boy he is, he
shouted, Ishmael? That s a wussy crap name! This is the first sign of bullying and also the first
instance of the readers ultimately being told that Ishmael doesn t fit in at school. Mrs Torango,
Ismael s teacher, decides that she needs to put a stop to the bullying at the first given opportunity.
Giving Ishmael some hope that one day, he could be like Mrs Torango and stand up for himself....

Theophylline is inexpensive and worldwide it remains one of the most widely prescribed drugs for
the treatment of airway diseases. It has been used for over 70 years in the treatment of asthma and
chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Nonetheless, theophylline has newly turn into a
third line treatment in many modern countries that is only used in some poorly controlled patients.
Various protocols of therapy assisted this. It has even been recommended that theophylline is not
indicated in any patients with asthma. The prevalence of side effects and the comparably low

According to Singer, Acquiring new aggressive behavioral patterns is one of the first indications
that violent programs can influence a child to learn how to become more aggressive (70).
Second, Singer noted that violent programs can provide indications for the most functional
behaviors in a particular situation (70). If people have the wrong motives, then they are
punished, but if people have the right motives, they are rewarded. Another form is drawing
attention, Aggressive children are more inclined to watch violent programs (Van Der Voort 46).
Once children watch a violent program, children are led to be more aggressive and therefore
want to keep watching aggressive shows. Finally, the change in attitude towards violence in
children are as researchers say that the attitudes of violence decreases as the child gets more and
more involved in violent shows (Gunter 48). As children get older and older, their views of
violence change for the worse; they no longer see how hurting someone on purpose is wrong. Over
time, children not only become even more violent but also are increasingly getting more attached to
the violence portrayed on television.
There are several ways of proving that viewing violent shows can affect aggression in young
children. The first way is through direct effect. This is the result of actually doing harm to self or

Food Is A Way Of Life
Food has essentially become a way of life in our world. People identify by what kind of food they
grew up eating. People from the south feel that barbecue food is a way of life, while people in
Italy can t live without pasta. We can learn a lot about where are ancestors are from when we look
at what kind of food we eat, but we can also see the change that the culturewe live in has put upon
us. Since America is this beautiful melting pot of many different cultures we can see the blended in
all of us, but still know our heritage form the secret familyrecipes we have learned from our
parents, and grandparents. Food in essence is a part of our culture that shows us where we our
ancestors are from, where we currently live, where we grew up, what religion we partake in,
and just who we are as people. When my Grandparents immigrated to America from Italy, they
held on tightly to their Italian culture. One of the things they will not let go of is the prestigious
Italian food they grew up having. They wanted to pass on their love of Italian dishes onto their
children, who would then pass it down to their grandchildren. Make no mistake about it they
passed down their extreme love of Italian food down to us, but due to the fact that we grew up in
the heart of Texas our food preferences are a little different. My brother and I not only love the

Present Day Car Research Paper
As far as the lives of normal individuals are concerned, there is little uncertainty that the vehicle is
the most progressive innovation ever since the wheel itself. More than any other human invention,
the automobile has arguably shaped the modern era. The essential thought is straightforward: pick a

Direct Leadership Vs Organizational Leadership Essay
Direct Leadership versus Organizational Leadership Independent of the Army and country you
serve, leadership is always an important subject. There are many civilian books and military

three levels. These levels are Direct Leadership, Organizational Leadership, and Strategic
Leadership. In this paper, the focus will be only about the first two levels. According with you

Sanger Sequencing Essay
Sanger Sequencing was introduced in 1977 by Frederick Sanger and has been extensively used
for at least 35 years (10,11). Even now, it is still frequently used for small scale sequencing work.
No breakthrough of whole genome sequencing techniques was made until the launches of Roche
454 GS20 (12) and ABI SOLID (13) in the mid 2000. Soon after that, Ion Torrent (14), PacBio (15)
and Illumina (16) platforms have been introduced and quickly occupied the market of genomic
sequencing. Not until recently, the third generation sequencing, such as the nanopore (17), has been
commercialized and initially tested. A timeline of the development of DNAsequencing platforms
was described in Figure 1.

Illumina sequencing platform launches later than the other competitors but quickly dominate the

millions of base pairs of the whole genome sequence could be finished in a couple of hours.

Human Nature Establishes Political Authority
Now that we have an understanding of the three different accounts of the state of nature, it is
important to understand the differing accounts of how human nature establishes political authority.
Hobbes believes that because the state of nature is a constant state of war, the role of government
must be to protect the people to protect people from themselves. Therefore, the purpose of political
authority is to enforce law and order, and that the purpose of government is to control and be
authoritative and should not be responsible for representing the people. Hobbes believes that you
must give up your natural rights for peace. In the social contractman give up their rights to the
state, but the social contract can only be signed among those who are equal as it is a contract
established by the enforcer. Locke has a differing view that the establishment of political authority
is to ensure that men have their property rights protected. Locke believes that the greatest purpose
that men have for society is to be able to use their property, and to do safe while doing so.
Therefore, Locke believes that the most important positive law that society should establish is the
right to legislative power. To be governed under legislative power means that the government has to
have the consent of the people. By having a government that is accountable to the people they
represent, it will protect the people being governed against oppression, a government that has the
consent of the people

Middle Ages And Their Impact On Culture Essay
Influential Figures of the Middle Ages and Their Impact on Culture
The Middle Ages were a time of cultural development and lasting impacts that laid the groundwork
for the culture present in Western civilization today. Several influential figures contributed to the
cultural development in the Middle Ages. Hildegard of Bingen improved the status of women in
her day and through her, feminism continued to progress. Next, Thomas Aquinas created a
philosophy that left a lasting impression on the Catholic Church. Finally, Roger Bacon played a
hand in several scientific discoveries and created a system of natural knowledge that is still used
today. All three left a lasting mark on the Middle Ages in ways that have helped shape the culture of
the Western world today.
First, there was Hildegard of Bingen who played a crucial role in her day as an influential
female in an age where women were usually overlooked. Hildegard transcended the bans that
restricted women s social participation. As a visionary, she voiced her disapproval on simony and
helped reform the churches. Early feminists used Hildegard s success to argue for women s rights
to attend medical schools. In modern times, scholars used her in a new age movement for her
holistic view of healing. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

My Fellow America Rhetorical Analysis
I don t begin my speech today with the classic introduction My fellow Americans because I am
speaking to more than just Americans today. While several stories come to mind, a multitude
share one similar to mine, coming from a mixed background into a country that has opened its
doors as a land of opportunity and a second home. Those who have built a life of significance
have often extended a helping hand to many who did not have the same prospects or success in
their own ventures. This is the unifying thread in the saga of the American epic and what I seek to
revitalize as President of the United States.
Native to all tales of America are accounts of achievement, people who took from their sweat and
labor untold riches. The path to their goal was often marred by monumental obstacles, naturally
different to every story. While my family constructed their own road for progress, I spent my time
inside and outside the classroom making the greatest mark I could in my community. My time in

The Tale Of Two Visions Of Power
The Tale of Two Visions of Power On the eve of November 8th, 2016, secretary of the
Democratic Party Hillary Clinton or politician of the Republican Party Donald Trump will
become president of the United States. With their dividing views, it splits the nation in half with
their ideals and plans for the future. This election is what brings out the true form of freedom of
speech in America polarization between the Democrats and the Republicans. Not only does this
election bring out the significance of how important it is to vote, but also what kind of leader
people want to lead for the next four years. The vision of America s future could possibly be at
stake depending on who comes out as the winner in less than a week. Power will be given to either
Clinton or Trump, and that is what will determine the outcome of the fates for everyone residing in
the Unites States for the next four years. The fate of the United Statesdepends on the people s
beliefs of the constrained and unconstrained vision of power. By understanding the beliefs of the
people, it divides on the country s values of what they want for the future of the citizens. These
views of power can be rendered as different, yet, effective in a sense of what the people think
works best for them and possibly for others. For example, the constrained view sees people who
commit crimes as inherently evil and ..put their own interests or egos above the..lives of others.

The Importance of the Past in Willa Cather s My Antonia
In My Antonia, Willa Cather emphasizes the importance of the past through Jum Burden s
narration. Jim Burden realizes at the conclusion of the novel how much he enjoyed his childhood
days and how much his memories mean to him. There are three events that Cather included in the
novel which contribute greatly to the overall theme, concerning the importance of the past.
One event is in Chapter II of Book III. Jim decides to write about his youth in Nebraska as Vergil

It is the road of Destiny along which their lives have traveled.
Another event appears in chapter 14 of book II. Antonia and Jim are having a picnic by the river. It

The Sentimentality Of William Tavener Passage Analysis

choose to write this short story in the order in which it happened it helps the flow of the passage.
Because this story started as it was happening you have to figure out what the conflict in the story

it opens with Hester slightly persuading her husbands seemingly stubborn attitude. She states,

Sermon On The Baptist Of The Nazarene
This past Sunday, at Woodview Church of the Nazarene, we had the pleasure of hearing our
senior pastor, Mark Walker, preach. Pastor Mark had been on sabbatical for most of August, all
of September and the first part of October and has been back just a few weeks. This sermon was
just the second he has preached since coming back from that sabbatical. Pastor Mark, preaching
on All Saints Day, took the opportunity to preach a message on the importance of remembrance
and anticipation. He choose the text of Revelation 21:1 8, a passage concerning the age to come.
This was also tied into our monthly celebration of communion, although we frequently celebrate
communion more often than that. Pastor Mark spoke on the inspiration of those saints that
have gone before us, the future final redemptive work of Christ and the final judgment. Pastor
Mark s choice of text was fitting for All Saints Day and leading into the Eucharist. He utilized
the form of the text, being apocalyptic, to shape a message of hope inspired by the saints who
have gone before who have trusted in the promise of God s future redemptive work. Pastor Mark
took the promise of God s future in the age to come to inspire the congregation to follow
wholeheartedly after God, just as the saints within our congregation have before. He encourage
us to never forget what God has done in our lives and preserve in our walk. As with so many of
God s promises there is always a warning and Pastor Mark took an opportunity to

The Nature Of People s Beliefs
Philosophy allows people to study the nature of people s beliefs. Throughout history people s
beliefs have differed. At one time people may believe one idea and decades later people may
completely disagree with that idea. Not even the ideas of the law are exempt from this
occurrence. Since the spoken word, hundreds of philosophers have defined law in different
ways. Seeing law in different ways people can come to different conclusions about specific
cases. The Fugitive Slave Law was a controversial law in American history. The Fugitive Slave
Law allowed slave owners to capture their slaves who have fled north to free states. In United
States v Morris, the emancipators challenged the Fugitive Slave Law in Boston. A group of
emancipators helped an escaped slave flee to Canada; the Fugitive Slave Law states helping an
escaped slave is in violation of the law. In this case, the jurors let the emancipators free for
helping a slave escape slavery to Canada. Philosophy gives us the tools to analyze the legality of
the juror s actions and answer the question Did the jurors in Morris do the right thing? Natural
Law theory, Positivism, Legal Realism, Dworkin s neo natural law theory, and Butler s critical law
theory all provide different outlooks to answering this question. All of these philopshers have
differing beliefs of the role of moralityand law. However, these philosophies all conclude in the
answer the jurors in Morris, in fact, did the right thing. The Natural Law

Film Analysis Of The Great Gatsby
Director Baz Luhrmann s approach in producing The Great Gatsby was If some people are going
to hate it, why not go balls out? (Mensa, Time Magazine) No matter what there would be a myriad
of critics of The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Whether he followed the script entirely, used only
classical and jazzinfluences for the music or even produced a less intense film someone was going
to have a complaint. So why not give those who are going to hate it something substantial to hold
onto? That s just what he did; using his personal style of incorporating novel themed music with a
relative genre that s popular today. For The Great Gatsby, it was drawing inspiration from the Jazz
Ageand today s hip hop, similar to Jazz in the sense of it s uprise from the underground to
becoming widely known and appreciated. Overall the soundtrack touches on old Jazz, party
Jazz, and Hip Hop in a way that reflects the behavior and luxury of the 1920s. As well as aspects
of the characters in the novel, especially within the song $100 bill by Jay Z. Most of the
soundtrack was altered and produced specifically for the film based on the novel. The producers
of the film collaborated with several artists, including Jay Z, Lana Del Rey, and Florence+The
Machine to develop instrumentals that flowed with the scenes. The co producer and supervisor
Anton Monsted did not choose any song or artist by accident. He carefully researched the
background and relativity of the plot and genre for The Great Gatsby.

How Is Napoleon Bonaparte A Hero
Napoleon Bonaparte was the French leader in the late 1700s. He is known as an intelligent and
clever military leader. He went to military school at the age of nine, and finished school at the
age of 16 eventually becoming a lieutenant in the artillery. Napoleon Bonaparte had many
successes and failures, however his failures overpowered his successes which makes him a
tyrant. While leading he went into many wars and lost many soldiers. By the end many people
were not on his side and many did not believe in what he was doing as the leader of France,
therefore making him a villain for France. Napoleon Bonaparte had many weaknesses as a leader
which caused him to have many defeats. The Directory selected Napoleon to lead the French
army in 1796 and this is what got him started leading France and the people. To defend French
trade Napoleon took his army to Europe and the British army trapped Napoleon and his army.
Napoleon manipulated the people by keeping what had happened out of the news so that he

get this is to kill her because then no one else can have her and she would have died being with
him and no one else.
The Duchess appears to be a very happy person, which finds joy in the tiniest things. We gain the
impression that she is a well bread woman, who takes pride in her appearance. The duke is very
proud of her appearance he describes all her beauty as he talks. The duke believes she is easily
pleased too soon made glad and the pleasing her made not always be coming from him, this makes
him very jealous.
The first we hear about Porphyria s appearance is when she has just entered from being in the
rain, the lover is describing every thing as it happened in great detail, about her hair and how it
laid, etc. Porphyira worshiped her lover at that point and he wanted it to stay that way, he loved
her too much for things to change, for her to find someone else to worship, he had to act at that
time in order to keep her to him self.
These poems are very powerful in the way they are putting across the love from the Duke and
Porphyria s Lover, they are both very jealous even though they properly have no reason to be but
they believe they do. Action must be taken to keep their lover s from anyone else, so they believe
that they can do this by

Is Freedom Of Contract Outdated By Parliamentary And...
Is freedom of contract outdated by parliamentary and judicial intervention?
Freedom of contract is the right to choose ones contracting parties and to trade with them on any
terms and conditions one sees fit contract permits individuals to create their own legal rules,
adapted to their unique situations free from government interference, imposed values, and
Judgments of fairness. The main notion or ideology of freedom of contract was given one of it its
most famous legal expressions in 1875 by Sir George jessell. men of full age and competent
understanding shall have the utmost liberty of contracting when entered into freely and voluntarily
shall be held sacred and shall be enforced by the courts of justice the courts are not too ... Show

A case example would be Hutton v warren
Another method would be terms implied as fact are based on the imputed intention of the parties
and the courts have more than one way to imply this within a contract and therefore two tests have
been developed, first of all the officious bystander test which originated from the shirlaw v
southern foundries 1926 ( remember to reference LJ mackinnon prima facie) which in practically
had an officious bystander been present at the time the contract was being made and had suggested
that a such a term should be included, it must be obvious that both parties would have agreed to it.
The second test is the Business efficacy test (mention Moorcock) this asks whether the term is
necessary to give the contract business efficacy for instance would the contract make business
sense without it. The courts will only imply a term where is necessary to do so (contract law by Neil
Andrews 2015 pg 333 13.01 (4) ) but yet it is argued that (try to mention a case) the officious by
stander test trumps the test in the Moorcock (1889): if a putative term which is supported by the
business efficacy does not also satisfy the officious bystander test the courts will refuse to
recognise it as term to be implied in fact (paraphrase this text:) (Contract law by Neil Andrews 2015
pg 342 13.10)
Furthermore there would be circumstances in which courts will realise that the officious bystander
rule cannot apply. (Try

I ve been hired by cities mayor and am now the newest economics consultant charged with analyze the various local businesses market structures. This city has numerous businesses which leads to many different market structures. There are large factories or plants, almost every chain fast food restaurant, nicer sit down restaurants, mom and pop shops, along with our share of Wal Mart s and other larger all in one stores, and we also have the city ran utilities. This town is competitive and thriving with a strong economical foundation fueled by a good sized population to keep many businesses from having to look too far for employees. New businesses have opened recently and are thriving. With keeping a good mix of market structures the economy will continue to grow. Multiple market structures will help to create a thriving economy, although they are all different, they provide income to the city in way of taxes, employment to our citizens, and understanding how each operates and prices their goods can help this city prepare for its financial future. We will need to analyze each market separately to show the differences and the similarities so as to understand their effects on the community and whether they allow room for entry and exit of new firms in order to grow our city economically. There are four market structures that I will provide analysis on. Perfect competitionis a market structure in which there any many sellers and many buyers where not one firm (business) ... • 4. Data Assemblage And Compilation Process Improves The seemingly qualitative nature and vague definitions of the targets suggests that the accurate measurement of the relevant data is challenging. However a rough estimation of all the targets can easily be made through the many collection or modeling techniques available. Despite these approximate results, as long as the measurement methods are kept constant, targets such as 7.2 and 7.3 can be assessed. Nonetheless if the data assemblage and compilation process improves, this progress must be factored into the comparative results. Target 7.1 is less black and white in nature, and would need a more specific target purpose to be effectively measured. Targets 7.a and 7.b are very qualitative and difficult to measure. They are however... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, some regions may be connected to the grid, but quality, reliability, and affordability may render the utility inaccessible and/or outside of the individuals means CITATION UNE14 l 1033 (UN E, 2014). Target 7.2 is the easiest of the targets to measure quantitatively. The indicator of concern is renewable energy consumption, rather than renewable energy capacity. This is because most renewable energy sources (solar, wind, etc.) have fluctuating production cycles, which lead to large power losses CITATION UNE14 l 1033 (UN E, 2014). This data is collected by the International Energy Agency and UN Statistics and prepared into a series of energy balance reports where the renewable and conventional consumption can be analyzedCITATION IEAEd l 1033 (IEA, 2015 Ed). Currently the IEA reports the renewable share constitutes 15% of the energy mixCITATION SE4151 l 1033 (SE4ALL(2), 2015). However inability to trace the source of significant components of the renewable sector (wood/charcoal), does not differentiate between sustainable production or not. It is not possible to accurately measure Target 7.3 directly because of the broad range of outputs involved. Instead, the use of a proxy, energy intensity (EI) makes it possible to model energy efficiency (EE). EI is measured by the quantity of energy required to produce a monetary unit of GDP, and is roughly inversely proportional to EE CITATION UNE14 l 1033 (UN E, 2014). This however is not optimal, and the relationship ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Knighthood And Chivalry In The Tales Of Marie De France The tales of Marie de France, shed light on the romantic relationships and chivalry of this time period. This is very insightful for modern people to be able to read and understand the culture of that time. Knighthood and chivalry were respected by some, but many times they were disregarded for passion. Love and marriageare largely connected to physical attractiveness of the person and the passion involved. Marriage is not a very serious commitment and will be disregarded whenever another presents themselves as a more attractive lover. Religion is not huge in the stories but can be present when looking for a lover. Magic plays a part in the Yonec and Bisclavret stories, but is not largely present throughout. In the tale of Equitan, the nature of knighthood and chivalry is shown through the relationship of Equitan and his knight. Although Equitan had said that he was a man who upheld chivalry, throughout the story he lusts, lies, and takes his knight s wife for his own. He begs her and claims being sick until she is willing to be his, and this does not shed a positive light on his chivalry and king s honor. In Milun, honor has a big place in the story. For example, Milun must go to the other country to fight the one knight who claims to be better than him to defend his honor. Although when he realizes he has been beat by him he shows respect for him because he has truly been beat. His son also shows respect when he sees his gray hair and recognizes that he had hurt an older man. This shows the good side of chivalry where the knights respected each other and good duels. The stories show that marriage and love is not regarded highly, Equitan steamrolls through his knight s trust by taking his wife and scheming to kill him. Love is presented as the desire for someone because of their looks. In the tale of Bisclavret, his wife s love and marriage is secondary to is thinking that it is weird that her husband turns into a wolf. She does not really love him or care for their marriage. She then uses a knight of her husband s to scheme to kill him by taking his clothes. This shows how easy it was in that time for people to find others who desire them and are willing to turn on the people their king. In the tale of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

From The Bachelor to Jersey Shore , no plot seems too racy or inappropriate for audiences of all ages. Recently, however, TLC aired their newest reality TV show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo that is thought to be one of the most controversial reality TV series of all time. The show encompasses the lives of a small town, southern Georgian family who live a frugal lifestyle, and demonstrate the self proclaimed stereotype of rednecks. Fascinatingly, the series captures the quirky attitude of seven year old Alana Thompson, and her mother, June Shannon. Although the series has produced high ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Amy Winter, general manager of TLC released a statement disclosing that What you see is what you get and we are excited to share even more of Alana and her family s unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers. But the question remains; should reality television shows like this one that glorify lack of education, obesity, and teenage pregnancy be accurate representations of American culture? The answer seems to be obvious when put into perspective, however the show s clever catchphrases such as A dolla makes me holla! and You better redneckonize! make the series out to be irresistible to some viewers. Ironically enough, TLC originated as The Learning Channel, and previously aired documentaries that were educational and appropriate for viewers of all ages. Subjects ranged from science, to nature, and even current events. Its rival was of course, The Education Channel. Over the years, however, TLC has picked up several reality TV shows including Say Yes to the Dress , Little People Big World , and 19 Kids and Counting. Although each of these shows receives its fair share of criticism, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo has received the heaviest hits by far. One of the pieces of information lying in the hidden pane is her lack of understanding of the jargon used in the scene. • 9. Make Me Like A Well Watered Garden MAKE ME LIKE A WELL WATERED GARDEN It was the spring of 1980. My husband Ken and I had been in our first pastorate in the San Joaquin Valley of California, known as the nation s Garden Spot , for almost a year. During the summer of 79, several of our church members had generously shared with us the fruits of their labors in their gardens and it seemed that everyone had a garden. Thus, when the spring of 1980 arrived, I, who never liked working in the dirt; I, who would rather wash, starch and iron shirts than dig in a flower bed or weed a garden, decided we should have a vegetable garden. The former pastor had two BIG ONES so surely, with the help of my pastor husband, who was reared on the farm, we could have a lovely garden that would produce enough vegetables to feed us through what Californians refer to as winter. Being the submissive wife that I was, I asked Ken what I needed to do first. He borrowed a tiller (whatever that is) and began to prepare the soil for seeding. All the weeds were cleared away, so that nothing was left but beautiful rich, brown dirt. Then he made these little indentations, called furrows, down through the freshly plowed dirt and smoothed it all out to perfection. Then I had to do the REAL work I dropped the seeds in those little furrows. He came along behind me, covered the seeds with dirt, patted it down just so, and then watered the entire plot. I was so proud! I had planted a garden! About three days later I said to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 14. Positive And Negative Effects Of GM Crops Genetically Modified, or GM, crops were first designed in the mid late 1900 s when the idea to create DNA emerged. They have proven to be genetically resistant to many diseases, leading to greater yields of crops and less manual labor. Approximately 150 million hectares of land are currently being used solely for GM plants. Farmer profits have increased by 66% and crop yields have increased by 22%. With this success rate, it might be difficult to see the negative effects of increasing the prevalence of GM Crops throughout the world and in the food supply. Although GM plants have increased the international food supply and made the process of farming more efficient, GM crops have actually decreased the biodiversity present in the world, harming the environment they inhabit and the society that depends on them. Many developing countries have have actively introduced GM plants into their agricultural sphere while many others are skeptical. Other countries are divided; though their government may approve of the use of GMO s , many groups within the nation are in opposition for adopting them. The issue about the use of GM crops continues to remain a national issue, with each country being responsible for addressing it for their own individual nation and citizens. In the past, the United Nations has established agencies, such as the Food and AgricultureOrganization (FAO), to help research and address the development of biotechnology for the agricultural sector in rural areas. ... Don T Call Me Ishmael Bullying Quotes The brilliant author, Michael Gerard Bauer, raises a key topic that affects many people in today s society in his extraordinary novel, Don t Call Me Ishmael! Bauer wisely uses humorous situations to pinpoint to young adults a well known problem in our society today, bullying. There is an abundance of bullyingby one of the key characters in the book, the toughest and the meanest kid in school, Barry Bagsley. Not only does Barry bully Ismael, but he also bullies other characters in the book. At first Ishmael blames himself for the constant bullying he receives off Barry, however, as the story continues Ishmael grows confidence and realises that Barry was the real problem and bullying is strictly not allowed. The horrendous acts of Barry affects many characters over the course of the novel, including Bill Kingsley, James Scobie and Ishmael himself. The first and most obvious act of bullying seen in the book is during roll call when Ishmael s name is called out. Barry being the boy he is, he shouted, Ishmael? That s a wussy crap name! This is the first sign of bullying and also the first instance of the readers ultimately being told that Ishmael doesn t fit in at school. Mrs Torango, Ismael s teacher, decides that she needs to put a stop to the bullying at the first given opportunity. Human Nature Establishes Political Authority Now that we have an understanding of the three different accounts of the state of nature, it is important to understand the differing accounts of how human nature establishes political authority. Hobbes believes that because the state of nature is a constant state of war, the role of government must be to protect the people to protect people from themselves. Therefore, the purpose of political authority is to enforce law and order, and that the purpose of government is to control and be authoritative and should not be responsible for representing the people. Locke believes that the greatest purpose that men have for society is to be able to use their property, and to do safe while doing so. Therefore, Locke believes that the most important positive law that society should establish is the right to legislative power. At one time people may believe one idea and decades later people may completely disagree with that idea. Not even the ideas of the law are exempt from this occurrence. Since the spoken word, hundreds of philosophers have defined law in different ways. Seeing law in different ways people can come to different conclusions about specific cases. The Fugitive Slave Law was a controversial law in American history. The Fugitive Slave Law allowed slave owners to capture their slaves who have fled north to free states. In United States v Morris, the emancipators challenged the Fugitive Slave Law in Boston. A group of emancipators helped an escaped slave flee to Canada; the Fugitive Slave Law states helping an escaped slave is in violation of the law. In this case, the jurors let the emancipators free for helping a slave escape slavery to Canada. Philosophy gives us the tools to analyze the legality of the juror s actions and answer the question Did the jurors in Morris do the right thing? Natural Law theory, Positivism, Legal Realism, Dworkin s neo natural law theory, and Butler s critical law theory all provide different outlooks to answering this question. All of these philopshers have differing beliefs of the role of moralityand law. However, these philosophies all conclude in the answer the jurors in Morris, in fact, did the right thing. (Mensa, Time Magazine) No matter what there would be a myriad of critics of The Great Gatsby soundtrack. Whether he followed the script entirely, used only classical and jazzinfluences for the music or even produced a less intense film someone was going to have a complaint. So why not give those who are going to hate it something substantial to hold onto? That s just what he did; using his personal style of incorporating novel themed music with a relative genre that s popular today. For The Great Gatsby, it was drawing inspiration from the Jazz Ageand today s hip hop, similar to Jazz in the sense of it s uprise from the underground to becoming widely known and appreciated. Overall the soundtrack touches on old Jazz, party Jazz, and Hip Hop in a way that reflects the behavior and luxury of the 1920s. As well as aspects of the characters in the novel, especially within the song $100 bill by Jay Z. Most of the soundtrack was altered and produced specifically for the film based on the novel. The producers of the film collaborated with several artists, including Jay Z, Lana Del Rey, and Florence+The Machine to develop instrumentals that flowed with the scenes. To defend French trade Napoleon took his army to Europe and the British army trapped Napoleon and his army. Napoleon manipulated the people by keeping what had happened out of the news so that he could be known as a great hero to the French people. A Comparison of the Dramatic Monologues of Porphyria s Lover and My Last Duchess by Robert Browning Robert Browning (1812 89) was, with Alfred Lord Tennyson, one of the two most celebrated of Victorian poets. His father was a bank clerk, and Browning educated himself by reading in the family library. He published many verse dramas and dramatic monologues (poems, like My Last Duchess, in which a single character speaks to the reader), notably the collections Men and Women (1855) and Dramatis Personae (1864). His greatest success came in 1868 with The Ring and the Book a verse narrative in twelve books, spoken by a range of different characters. In her lifetime his wife, Elizabeth Barrett Browning ... He wants her all to him self, the easiest way for him to get this is to kill her because then no one else can have her and she would have died being with him and no one else. The Duchess appears to be a very happy person, which finds joy in the tiniest things. We gain the impression that she is a well bread woman, who takes pride in her appearance. The duke is very proud of her appearance he describes all her beauty as he talks. The duke believes she is easily pleased too soon made glad and the pleasing her made not always be coming from him, this makes him very jealous. The first we hear about Porphyria s appearance is when she has just entered from being in the rain, the lover is describing every thing as it happened in great detail, about her hair and how it laid, etc. Porphyira worshiped her lover at that point and he wanted it to stay that way, he loved her too much for things to change, for her to find someone else to worship, he had to act at that time in order to keep her to him self. These poems are very powerful in the way they are putting across the love from the Duke and Porphyria s Lover, they are both very jealous even though they properly have no reason to be but they believe they do. Action must be taken to keep their lover s from anyone else, so they believe that they can do this by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Freedom of contract is the right to choose ones contracting parties and to trade with them on any terms and conditions one sees fit contract permits individuals to create their own legal rules, adapted to their unique situations free from government interference, imposed values, and Judgments of fairness. The main notion or ideology of freedom of contract was given one of it its most famous legal expressions in 1875 by Sir George jessell. men of full age and competent understanding shall have the utmost liberty of contracting when entered into freely and voluntarily shall be held sacred and shall be enforced by the courts of justice the courts are not too ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A case example would be Hutton v warren Another method would be terms implied as fact are based on the imputed intention of the parties and the courts have more than one way to imply this within a contract and therefore two tests have been developed, first of all the officious bystander test which originated from the shirlaw v southern foundries 1926 ( remember to reference LJ mackinnon prima facie) which in practically had an officious bystander been present at the time the contract was being made and had suggested that a such a term should be included, it must be obvious that both parties would have agreed to it. The second test is the Business efficacy test (mention Moorcock) this asks whether the term is necessary to give the contract business efficacy for instance would the contract make business sense without it. The courts will only imply a term where is necessary to do so (contract law by Neil Andrews 2015 pg 333 13.01 (4) ) but yet it is argued that (try to mention a case) the officious by stander test trumps the test in the Moorcock (1889): if a putative term which is supported by the business efficacy does not also satisfy the officious bystander test the courts will refuse to recognise it as term to be implied in fact (paraphrase this text:) (Contract law by Neil Andrews 2015 pg 342 13.10) Furthermore there would be circumstances in which courts will realise that the officious bystander rule cannot apply.
