If you keep in your mind that the end goal of these processes is to find out which one is the most
applicable along the broadest possible ranges of situations businesses and other organizations face.
The first step is to understand both process modeling and configuration management and be able to
see the contrast between the two. The definition of the two are as follows process modeling is the

Abstract: This study was carried out to evaluate the effects of adding polyethylene glycol (PEG 4000),
sodium bentonite to Acacia saligna hay as a roughage in the diet to deactivate it s content of tannins.
Twenty healthy growing Barki lambs averaged of 30.90±4.63 Kg body weight were randomly divided
into four groups (five animals of each) in fattening trial lasted for 180 days. Nutrients digestibility,
nitrogen balance, blood serum metabolites, rumen parameters, weight changes and average daily gain
(ADG) were determined.
Animal groups were fed on concentrate feed mixture (CFM)+ berseem hay (G1), CFM + acacia hay
(G2), G2 diet + 5% PEG (G3) and G2 diet + 4% bentonite (G4). Results revealed that group one had
higher values of digestibility coefficients for DM, OM, CP, CF, EE and NFE than the other groups. All
animals were in positive

Economic and Social Costs of Inequality in Australia
Analyse the economic and social costs and benefits of inequality in distribution of income in
Australia. Income inequality describes the extent to which income is distributed unevenly among
residents of an area. High levels of inequality indicate that a small number of people receive most of
the total income, and that most people receive only a small share of the total. There are many
advantages and disadvantages associated with the inequitable distribution of income. Income
inequality can lead to an increase in the productive capacity of resources and so an increase in real
GDP per capita. Economic benefits are mainly derived from the incentive effects of inequality. Firstly,
inequality encourages the labour force to increase ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Class divisions can result in tensions between people and different regions. Wage disputes between
workers and employers in which workers try to improve their income levels are a common cause of
dispute. These divisions can sometimes lead to social and economic instability. As shown earlier,
inequality leads to poverty problems but the facts have not been explored. Australia has a very high
level of relative poverty with 12.2% of Australians living below the poverty line, defined as receiving
an income below 50% of the median income level. Poverty tends to trap families into a vicious cycle
of low incomes and limited economic opportunities. High poverty levels also tend to be associated
with increased levels of crime, suicide, disease and reduced life expectancy. As you can see, there are
many economic and social costs and benefits of inequality in the distribution of income but in general,
having high levels of income inequality is bad for an economy and individuals so Australia has
continually attempted to have relatively low levels of income

What Are The Ethical Implications Of The Kfc Business
Task 2, (2.1)
P2. Under this criteria I will explain the implications for the KFC Company and stakeholders which
operating ethical.
The implications of businesses operating ethically
Adapting Business Behavior
Within our world communication through each other is better now than it was 45 years ago, that
means to communicate with each other is now easier and better not like before now we can give
messages and save each other easy, such as Kfc Company will be able to keep up to date on what
happens in their factories will be aware of anything new in a matter of seconds. KFC has factories
along the road in Oman, any things happened in Kfc Company it will be easier to reach any messages
for their employees without waiting to know what happen so they will be able to come up with
solutions if they have any ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
So managers of Kfc Company they have the ethical pressure as they have to make sure they are
engaged in a moral and also on the right track. The benefits to the KFC when the moral response is
that they are doing business the right way and follow the laws and regulations. The disadvantage of
KFC moral response is that it would be difficult for them to be on top of morality (the implications of
businesses operating, 2016).
Implementing ethical practices
Some well known names have begun to implement the moral position on the issues that affect us all.
For example, working with consumer walker s change in their mind as they make changes to their
products. So it would be KFC to bear in mind the welfare of consumers when making products. The
benefits to the KFC Company s is that they can make products with the fact to meet the needs of
consumers. The disadvantage of the KFC is that they have to bear in mind what consumers will think
of their products, and that can be benefit them.

The Pros And Cons Of Immigrants In Canada
Imagine Canada without immigrants? Without having they wonderful multiculturalism that
immigrants bring into Canada we wouldn t be the diversite country we are now. In my essay I am
going to talk about how Canada benefits from immigration. I m going to be talking about the positive
and negative of these three classes: Economic class, Family class and the refugee class. This is how
the fantastic country of Canada benefits from the three classes of immigrants. These three classes of
immigration have all this wonderful advantages that help create the safe and secure country of Canada
but they do have some disadvantages that make our country not so safe. First of all the economic class
of immigrants are taking all the jobs from the aboriginal people in Canada. This issue resulted in

This doesn t seem like a big number but if you think about it all of these people have something tragic
happening in there country like: war, torture and cruel punishment. One of the most important part is
they have a act called the Immigration And Refugee Protection Act. This act has three key points to it:
to save lives, to meet the legal obligations that Canada has agreed too and lastly to offer a place of
refuge. This act was made because of the Singh Decision. In 1985 Canada supreme court ruled that the
1976 immigration act was a violation of section 7 of The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms
witch is the right to life, liberty and security of the person. After this discussion they came up with the
Immigration and Refugee Protection Act that doesn t violate immigrants rights. Refugees are also very
great workers they come to Canada ready to work hard and start a new life. In 2016 the amount of
immigrants that came to Canada was 46,700, that is the highest it has been since 1980. Helping
refugees is an amazing way to spend life and Canada has done it

Illegal Drugs And The United States
On June 18, 1971, United States President Richard Nixon declared a war on drugs. Since then the
United States has focused their efforts on the criminalization and prohibition of drug use, possession,
trafficking, sale, and the production of it. The issues pertaining to the War on Drugs has become a
bigger issue throughout the years due to the United States being the largest market place for illegal
drugs and substances. The United States has spent billions a year on drug war policies to help and try
to discourage the production, distribution, and consumption of any drugs that are found illegal in the
United States. When it comes to drug use, efforts to lower the use and flow of illegal drugs in the
United States have yet to be succeeded. On the contrary, the use and production of illegal drugs have
only seemed to grow. Sadly, punitive laws have not reduced the use or the availability of illegal drugs
but have actually had collateral damage. Example of said collateral damage is drug related violence,
health epidemics, mass incarceration, and the waste of law enforcement. Sadly, many have been
murdered due to the act of violence between criminal activity fighting over territory and or power
made due to drug trade. Since 2000, the amount of people living with HIV has tripled due to injecting
drugs. In the last 30 years, prison population, in the United States, has quadrupled and nearly a quarter
of federal inmates are convicted of drugs. Lastly, the amount of money being spent

The Equal Pay Act For Women And Women Working Under The...
In 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed into effect a landmark legislation that would guarantee
equal pay to both men and women working under the same employer. However, to this present day,
women still only make, on average, 77 cents to every dollar that a male earns. This paper focuses on
some of the underlying problems as to why there is still such a large gender pay discrimination over
half a century later. More specifically, some of the policies maybe could be put in place and the
positive impact(s) each policy could have on women in the work place. Lastly, we will look at some of
the laws that have been in place, and how effective or ineffective they have been.
Introduction
More than fifty years ago, in 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed landmark legislation that would
guarantee equal pay to both men and women working under the same employer. The Equal Pay Act
was the first in a series of major federal and state laws that had a profound effect on job opportunities
and earnings for women over the next half century, and laid the foundation for the movement of
women into the paid labor force at unprecedented levels (whitehouse.gov).
However, there is still much more to be done. According to a recent study, American women today
who work full time, year round, are still only paid 77 cents for every dollar paid to their male
counterparts (Kim p.1). Women s median earnings are also lower in nearly every occupation
regardless of whether they work in male dominant

The Accusing Angel In John Steinbeck s The Book Of Job
The Book of Job tells the story of a man who is a servant of God, perfect in integrity, who fears God
and avoids evil. (Pg.6). The story centers on the profound suffering Job faces when an Accusing Angel
decides to challenge Job s faith in God (pg. 6). As Job is tested the following questions have risen
from its readers. Is Job patient? Is he impatient? Some people read The Book of Job and think it tells
the story of an incredibly patient man, who withstands immense trials and yet never experiences
aggravation with the test God allows to fall upon him. Others see Job as impatient; because he
expresses frustration with the trials he is given and cries out to God to end his life (pgs. 8, 13, 21, 48,
57). I argue that Job is both patient and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Job is tested for his faith, trust, and love for God (pg. 6). The Accusing Angel is focused on proving
God wrong, on making Job lose faith (pg.6). Job is called a great follower of God, by God Himself
and the Accusing Angel clearly does not like that God has shown so much favor on Job (pg. 6). The
test that Job is given by the Accusing Angel, and allowed to be given by God, challenges Job s
relationship with God to see if it is a legitimate relationship or not. As humans we know that every
relationship is tested at some point or another, whether it be a friendship, a relationship with a family
member, or a relationship with a significant other. When relationships are challenged they fall apart or
make it through the struggle, this is how we know if a relationship with our loved one is strong and
durable or if it is shallow and weak. God and Job have a relationship; God says that they do on page 6
when He references Job as one of his servants. As Job is tested, so is his relationship with God, does
he truly love and trust God to be able to make it through the struggle? On page 33 Job makes it clear
that Only God is wise and he will do his part and stay faithful to God in the trial so that they can still
have a relationship. Job does not know why God allows for this test to fall upon him and cause the
potential destruction of their relationship, but he believes that God is doing what needs to be done,
whether he understands it or not and whether he agrees with it or not (pg. 27,

Pride And Prejudice By Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a satire novel from 1813. The story is about a couple named the
Bennets who try to get their five daughters to marry kind and rich gentlemen. The main characters
however are the Bennets second and headstrong daughter Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy, her
aristocratic suitor. Throughout the entire novel, the two lovers must overcome pride and prejudice
before love can bring the novel to its magnificent conclusion . During the novel, there are two
marriage proposals between Darcy and Collins, Mr. Bennets cousin, which are both for Elizabeth.
Both proposals have similarities but also have many differences.
Mr. Collins and Darcy s proposals are similar in three ways: They both are ill timed; they are both
ridiculous, and Elizabeth rejects both of them.
The first reason Mr. Collins and Darcy s proposals are similar is that they both are ill timed. When
Collins proposes to Elizabeth, it is right after she finishes breakfast with her sisters and before she can
do anything else to make herself more presentable. (Austen, Jane. Pride and Prejudice. 3rd ed .Vol.
1.Ch.19 New York: Norton, 2001. Print.) When Darcy proposes to Elizabeth, she is suffering a
headache after she finds out that he was the one who separated her sister Jane and her husband
Bingley and blurts out the proposal without any sympathy for her health. (Austen, Jane. Pride and
Prejudice. 3rd ed. Vol. 2. Ch. 11 New York: Norton, 2001. Print.)

Hybrid Vehicles Are Environmentally Friendly Vehicles
Hybrid vehicles, which are environmentally friendly vehicles, which will replace fossil fueled car in
the future but they have a limited range and long fueling time. As fossil fuel resources start to become
limited and non environmentally friendly, car manufacturers are looking to find ways to make hybrid
vehicles the future of transportation. Hybrid vehicles are beneficial since they are efficient, reduce
pollution, and cut global emission than the current hybrids models. As such, hybrid electric vehicles
can have real public benefits for both the environment and for energy security. Hybrid vehicles can
help reduce smog pollution by ninety percent or more in comparison to the cleanest conventional
vehicles today. Hybrids also give a rewarding tax insensitive in a way to get more people to buy and
drive hybrid vehicles to help keep the environment clean. As for now, hybrids have their strengths and
weaknesses that haven t been perfected yet, but they keep on getting better each year. The reason
hybrid vehicles get better gas mileage is because of the small electric motor that provides a little extra
power to the small engine compared to the big gasoline powered engines. Even though hybrid vehicles
have a short mile range with a small electric engine you can drive an extra mile to the gas station in
case of an emergency when you accidentally run out fuel. Hybrid cars are known to get five miles per

Libraries Should Use Software Filters for Internet Access
Libraries Should Use Software Filters for Internet Access
Public libraries provide us with a large amount of information. Residents can borrow books from
libraries. Libraries also provide Internet access for everyone, including children. Since parents cannot
control what then children are seeing on the Internet in libraries, children can access pornographic or
violent sites easily. So, public libraries should restrict Internet access by utilizing filtering software to
prevent children from seeing those inappropriate sites. The American Libraries Association (ALA)
insists that it is improper for public libraries to use filtering software since libraries have to provide
broad materials for patrons. Their claim that filtering software ... Show more content on

Finally, the ALA says that filtering software is made for the parental control in homes. It is not
suitable, they assert, for public libraries to use the software. Libraries should provide broad,
uncensored for their patrons. So information in libraries may be limited by filtering control. The ALA
also claims that public institutions are supported primarily by local public tax monies, so libraries are
obligated to meet the information needs of the entire community or school population, while
upholding the basic principles of the First Amendment ( American Library 1). People tend to think that
a lot of adult sited exist on the web pages because accessing rates of those sites are very high. So
people also think that restriction limits a large amount of information and sites on the Internet. In fact,
the adult sites account for a small percentage of all. Estimates of the prevalence of adult sites range
from one to three percent of all the Internet web sites (Burt 2). The numbers of those sites look big,
but it is just because there are many visitors to those pages. Since the adult sites account for a small
percentage of all sites, the web sites that are restricted by filtering software must be a small portion as
well. A library s mission is to provide proper observation to patrons in communities, since it is free for
everyone to get information

Section Two: Key Dynamics and Players Involved
Upon arrival on February 27th, Yoav Galant, Minister of Construction, stressed the utmost importance
of eliminating the housing crisis in Israel. Galant offered the proposal of Mordot Arnona where there
would be 2000 new housing units that will aid growing populations inside the new territory added to
Jerusalem. (Powerpoint for Ministry of Construction, February 27 Minutes) This suggestion worried
the Minister of Internal Security, Gilad Erdan, because of its capability to threaten the security of
Israel. Galant s reasoning behind this proposal is the expansion of housing in Jerusalem. The
neighborhood will allow for the continuation of growth and development, providing for the housing
demand. With this implemented, it will strengthen Jerusalem as the capital. The lack of housing is one
of the highest concerns for Galant. On the basis of needing 250,000 houses due to a shortage of
housing, there was a 75% increase in housing costs from 2008 2015. Galant proposed the annexation

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy Theory
Introduction I believe that every one has different problem, because every one has different beliefs.
Therefore, solving our problems should be connecting with our beliefs. Rational emotive behavior
therapy is one of my favorite counseling theories because it helps the clients to change their feeling
acting via change the client thought.
Two Types of Disturbance Rational emotive behavior therapy argues that a defining characteristic of
humans is that we have desires. We want certain things to happen and other things not to happen.
However, we also a have a strong tendency to transform these desires into absolute musts. When we
hold rigid beliefs of this nature, we disturb ourselves. Thus, in REBT, rigidity is seen as being at the
core of psychologically disturbed responses to adversity (Neenan Dryden, 2010). Rational emotive
behavior therapy suggests that human beings defeat or disturb themselves in two main ways: (1) by
holding irrational beliefs about their self (ego disturbance) or (2) by holding irrational beliefs about
their emotional or physical comfort (discomfort disturbance). Frequently, the two go together. Ego
disturbance represents an upset to the self image. It results from holding negative self evaluations
about one s self such as I am no good and so on. These beliefs create ego anxiety. Thus, emotional
tension resulting from the perception that one s self or personal worth is threatened. Furthermore, it
may lead to other problems such as avoidance

Canucks early years, their greatest players, and their numerous trips to the Stanley Cup Finals, a
clearer picture can be formed. Exploring these areas show that the Canucks were, and are, a

trade, a new star would be arriving in a few years: goaltender Roberto Luongo. When he arrived,
Luongo was an instant hit with the fans, and his play on the ice was the same. Known for never giving

Misconceptions of Rastafarianism
Sam Cook 12/1/2012 Rhetoric of Reggae Tuna (Professor Snider) Common Misconceptions of the
Rastafarian People When an average person hears the word Rastafarianism, several things come to
mind. Some examples would be the stereotypical images of dreadlocks (long braids or natural locks of
hair), the smoking of ganja (marijuana), the busy streets of Trenchtown, and the reggae rhythms of the
one and only Bob Marley. Unfortunately, those things are not necessarily the makings of what truly
embodies the Rastafari culture. With the growing international popularity of reggae in the 1970 s, the
Rastafarian movement gained headway in Jamaica. Yet this came as both a blessing and curse for the

a cult religion. First of all, Rastafari is not a cult. According to www.merriam webster.com, a cult is 1.)
A formal religious veneration. and 2.) A system of religious beliefs and ritual. If someone were to say
that Rastafarianism is a cult based on the first definition, then the same assumption would therefore
have to be made across the board about all organized religions. Secondly, and perhaps even more
importantly than the first definition, Rastafari is not a religion. It is a spiritual livity. (Bisnauth 195

My favorite is that all Rastafarians are from Jamaica. Though the origins of the livity were formed in

Barry Schwartz s The Paradox Of Choice
Barry Schwartz titled his talk The Paradox of Choice because choice presents both good and bad
things. Because of this, choice is a paradox. We live in a world full of a million different choices:
where to eat, what car to buy, what phone to get, who we associate with, the list goes on and on. If we
didn t have any choices, our lives would be dull and mediocre at best. But with so many choices,
studies have shown that we are less happy because of specific factors that have to do with having large
amounts of choices to make and options to chose from.
According to Schwartz, choices make us miserable because of a few different things. One of which is
the opportunity cost. The opportunity cost causes us to think about what we are missing because when
you choose one thing, you sacrifice another. This can make people miserable because while they
should be enjoying one thing, all they can think about it what they are missing because of what they
gave up. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are so many options to choose from. Surely we can find one that makes everybody happy right?
Because of the paradox of choice, this can actually easily be wrong. We debate for so long about
where to eat because there are so many options it feels impossible to decide. Once we have made a
decision, some of us may feel disappointed because of opportunity cost and the escalation of
expectations. Because there were so many options to choose from, we had to give one thing up to get
something else. For example, if I gave up Texas Road House for Olive Garden, the whole time I m at
Olive Garden eating breadsticks, I may be thinking about how much I wish I had a Texas Road House
role. Also, by choosing among many options, people s expectations may have escalated. This is
because people think they have chosen the best possible option and their minds, they make the food
unrealistically delicious. When the food comes, they may be let

Satrapi s Resistance In Persepolis
To understand and obey any law forcing individuals to change their way of life causes resistance. In
the graphic novel Persepolis, although she effectively remembers those who suffered, Marjane Satrapi
excels in showing Iranians as very ordinary but interesting people. Satrapi illustrates their normalcy
through everyday activities and their responses to the situation they face within their country.
Although Persepolis is a graphic novel, it portrays issues of politics through the innocence and
lightheartedness of a child. Satrapi acknowledges those who were forced to leave their homes, as well
as, remembering loved ones who have died and suffered. Many were forced to leave and flee their
homeland as it becomes too dangerous to live in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satrapi portrays herself as an average modern teen through her personal style and music choice. For
instance, she has a Kim Wilde and Iron Maiden poster which her parents smuggled in from Turkey; as
Satrapi describes, two posters, one of Kim Wilde and one of Iron Maiden (126). Although it was
forbidden, Satrapi listened to the music and enjoyed expressing it by the way she dressed. Satrapi is
allowed to wear whatever she pleases as her mother is very permissive; Satrapi explains, I only knew
two or three other girls who could go out alone at thirteen (131)Although, alcohol is strictly forbidden,
Satrapi s family drinks alcohol often as it is an essential to their daily lives. Satrapi discloses her, uncle
was the vintner he had built a genuine winemaking lab in his basement (106) where, Mrs. Nasrine,
who was also his cleaning lady, crushed the grapes (106). They are able to relax and drink as long as
they do not get caught which shows Satrapi s family does not believe in restricting an individual from
being able to consume anything they wish. Nevertheless, Satrapi demonstrates they have kept their
sanity through the madness and bombings, while still retaining time to enjoy themselves. In spite of all
the dangers (106), her family threw parties as, without them it wouldn t be psychologically bearable
(106) and without parties they, might as well just bury [themselves] now (106). The parties were ways
of not only celebrating events (like the birth of Satrapi s cousin), but also coping with the bombings
and dangers which lie outside their homes; distract themselves from their problems. Although Satrapi
is surrounded by eminent threats to her safety, she still risks everything to keep her rationality and
normality as being true to herself is most important to her. Overall, Satrapi uses daily life to express

A Game For Price And Tampa Bay

We issued 12,000 passes, and around 2,000 people took advantage of the free offer per game. You can
agree with me that filling up seats is a good thing, correct? Even if that means giving away tickets for
free, it leads to more parking revenue, sales of concessions, and a greater overall atmosphere inside
the stadium. We aren t going from having the least amount of fan attendance to a sold out stadium
overnight. I suggest we continue down this path of giving away free tickets for a while to help fill
more seats. Give them to different groups per game. Besides the veterans, some examples would be
sponsors, nearby companies, little league teams, etc. Bringing these people in would give them a new
experience that they could share with their friends. Think about it. If a kid comes home from baseball
practice with free tickets, his parents won t turn him down. That would bring a whole family into the
stadium. Then at school the next day, that boy would be telling his friends what a great time he had.
Word of mouth is the cheapest and best method of advertising. The biggest problem leading to low
attendance is the location of our stadium. It is located in St. Petersburg, which only has a population of
about 250,000 people (refer to the map at the end). Tropicana Field is within a 30 minute drive for

David Robert Mitchell s It Follows
In It Follows, director David Robert Mitchell combines the tale of ordinary adolescents coming to age
with a shapeshifting antagonist, as he masterfully blends the paradoxical topics of youthful, romantic
realism and paranormal horror. While more subtle than the stereotypical slasher horror film, exploring
loftier themes such as existentialism, sexual socialization, mortality, and sexual morality, it never
strays from its main purpose: bringing fear and terror to the audience. Mitchell uses a number of
ambitious and creative techniques to navigate this movie of contrast, none more prevalent or important
than his use of diegetic and non diegetic sound. The natural sound, sound effects, and music set the

Not only is there a conflicting dissonance between the diegetic and non diegetic sound as discussed
previously, this element is equally present within the incidental music itself. Quite frequently a single
beat or rhythm is introduced and subsequently grouped with differing, often incongruent beats, sound
effects, noises, and tones. Combining a huge assortment of audio techniques, varying greatly in style,
tone, and tempo, the background score is erratic and unpredictable and it injects the film with a
volatile, unrelenting feel. Futuristic melodies, distorted and muffled noise, screeching static sounds,
pulsating beats, siren like music, pounding, banging, grating, and soft, echoing tunes are all combined
and jumbled together at different times, never letting the audience get comfortable with anything it
hears. This effect is amplified by suddenly starting and stopping, changing speeds, and alternating
levels of volume to the already perplexing and unnerving soundtrack. These strategies, much like the
foreboding antagonist, constantly remind the audience of the looming, impending doom the characters
face, even in the safest of settings and in the most mundane

The New Wembley Stadium
Description of the project
The New Wembley Stadium was envisioned as the one of the most ambitious projects in the world. It
was called the home of football and considered to be one of the largest and glorious stadiums in the
world. The 133m arch looks breathtaking when lit up at night shining magnificently across London.
Wembley is known as England s icon of football. Football Association (FA) was the client of the
project and its subsidiary was the Wembley National Stadium Ltd (WNSL). The main contractor
involved in the project was Multiplex Constructions with Mott MacDonald being the Lead Designers
who designed it as a state of the art stadium with a seating capacity of 90,000. The project had two
main project advisors; Tropus at the initial stages (1997 2001) and Capita Symonds (2001 2006). The
primary material supplier for steel and truss was Cleveland Bridge (Lewis, 2007).
Project successes
Now in the world the Wembley stadium is known for one of the best innovative stadium even having
lot of hindrances related to different segment of the project. The stadium has inbuilt retractable roof
which can be adjusted to allow sunlight to reach every inch of the pitch and cover the seats during a
bad weather. It not only host football games but also concert and Rugby game. Moreover, it consists
2618 toilets ,34Bars,688 snacks bar and 250 types of grass.
Project issues
Lot of issues cropped up during the construction of the Wembley Stadium.
Indecisiveness of the management before the project began caused a lot of delays. The construction
was delayed for two years due to political and financial issues. It was supposed to get completed by
May 2006 for hosting the FA Cup final but was later transferred to Cardiff as per what Multiplex had
advised them.
Multiplex also sued the stadium designer Mott McDonald for £253m statin that he denied access to
the design information which led to the increased steelwork costs.
Initially during the construction and execution some minor problem arises which later on become
major hurdle in the project. Initially the problem started with the conflict between multiplex and steel
contractor company Cleveland Bridge. Focus Areas and Key Learnings.

Dbq Causes Of World War 1
There were many causes that contributed to World War I like: Imperialism, Militarism, and Alliances.
Europeans thought they could make the world their oyster and take over any areas they pleased. Most
countries did not appreciate their land being taken from them. For example, Serbia wanted
independence from their mother country Austria Hungary, so a nationalist group called the Black
Hand, decided to assassinate the Archduke. If Serbia didn t assassinate the Archduke of Austria
Hungary the war probably wouldn t have happened at all. Europe s imperialism is what caused the
Great War that went for four long years from 1914 to 1918 and had over 30,000,000 million

The Structural Adjustment Program Project
The structural adjustment program project is one project of the World Bank that created substantial
problems for the assisted nation, which in this case is Burundi. The structural adjustment program is a
sort of lending program by the World Bank for countries whose economies are experiencing crisis.
However, this lending program requires certain reforms and policies to be implemented by the
receiving country in exchange for loans. In other words, the loans are strictly conditional, and these
conditionality attachments are the root cause through which the project creates problems for the
assisted nation. According to the CIA, Burundi is one of the world s poorest countries having poor
resources with a high rate of poverty, an undeveloped manufacturing sector and foreign aid represents
42% of Burundi s national income. Retrieved from https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the world
factbook/geos/by.html. Due to expanding budget deficits, debt servicing accumulated in the 1970s, a
coffee boom period, and war, Burundi adopted the structural adjustment program project around the
late 1980s to the 90s. The structural adjustment program emphasized the need to pursue the policy
program with special attention to macroeconomic and public sector management. It recommends
further policy actions to reinforce the restructuring of the Burundian economy: a) active export
promotion policies; b) liberalization of the labor and financial markets; and c) promotion of private

Fice Of The Governor Of India
Introduction
The office of the Governor, as envisaged by the framers of the Constitution has a lot of important
functions to perform and is of paramount importance. In a Federal setup like India, Centre State
relations carry a lot of importance and weightage in governance. A carry forward of the British era, the
institution of the Governor is not merely a figurehead, but performs the important function of being an
intermediary between the Centre and the State. Unfortunately, the post has lost much respect and
consideration nowadays. Sarojini Naidu, the first woman Governor of India once famously remarked
that she felt like a bird in a golden cage . It has become a resting place for old politicians. The
Governors are appointed by the President under Article 156, based on recommendations of the
Council of Ministers at the Centre, effectively giving a lot of power to the Centre in matters of
gubernatorial appointments, which allows the Centre to operate a free will in a capricious manner in
appointment and removal of Governors. The recommendations of Commissions constituted for the
purpose of suggesting alternatives to the already existing situation were seldom incorporated. The
above problems pose a critical situation not only for the Federal system of India, but also attack at the
very root of fair and democratic procedure. The paper aims to look at these problems of appointment
of Governors, and come up with recommendations in order to tackle this falling sanctity in hope

Kidney Injury And Hormonal Failure
The kidneys play host to a variety of different important functions in our bodies. The kidney s primary
function is the removal of toxins, which is excreted in the form of urine. The second extremely
important role of the kidneys is maintaining the body s acid base balance. This is balance is
maintained by the excretion of fixed acids and the reabsorption of bicarbonate. The hormonal
functions of the kidneys include the regulation of blood pressure and the manufacturing of red blood
cells.

There are a variety of options for anticoagulation in CRRT patients. Heparin is the least expensive and
drug with the shortest half life, which is why it is the preferred method of anticoagulation. Heparin
does require frequent PTT monitoring and dose adjustments. The disadvantages to heparin use are
increased bleeding risk and thrombocytopenia. For those patients who develop heparin induced
thrombocytopenia (HIT), the use of a direct thrombin inhibitor is recommended. Argatroban and
Lepirudin are the two direct thrombin inhibitors of choice. Deciding between the two is based on
patient history, current medical condition and method of CRRT used. Argatroban is eliminated by the
liver, whereas Lepirudin is eliminated by the kidneys and may not be used in patients with AKI. For
those patients with an allergy to Heparin, the use of citrate is an option. Citrate binds to calcium in the
patients blood within the CRRT circuit and will help prolong circuit life. Citrate requires monitoring
of labs, specifically ionized calcium, sodium and acid base status. Citrate is contraindicated in patients
with hepatic failure or with lactic acidosis. When the use of anticoagulates are contraindicated, sodium
chloride is used. Small boluses, approximately 100 200 milliliters, are used to flush the CRRT circuit.

Whilst in the second dream layer, the emotional trigger I will create something for myself examines
the establishment of self identity, further underpinned by the utilisation of first person and high

his emotional proclivity to aspiration and self esteem. Finally, in the third dream layer, the emotional

Fischer has chosen this permanent reality unconditionally and independently, albeit unwillingly, and
this choice cannot be disputed.
Another example, but much more exaggerated, is epitomised by Mal s germination of a relative

Ideo s Innovation Process And The Development Of...
IDEO s innovation process is unique when compared to traditional companies and is constantly
evolving. Brainstorming and prototyping are tools that are central for the development of innovation.
Effective brainstorming, allows the group to stay focused on the topic, generates many ideas early,
defers judgment to avoid interrupting the flow of ideas, builds on the ideas of others, and can be
visual.
Client engagement is key and is accomplished by frequent meetings. Whereas, rapid prototyping
followed the three R s (Rough use hand drawn sketches, speed is more important than making it
pretty, Rapid do not get emotionally attached, and Right work on the right problems and tasks) is used
to quickly communicate ideas. The real aha s in product development occur here. IDEO s innovation
principle sums it up best If a picture is worth a thousand words, a prototype is worth ten thousand. The
entire process resembles a funnel, with several ideas at the top, three or four at the base, and only one

In Salinger s The Catcher in the Rye, Salinger creates a unique narration through the way Holden

Salinger s writing. Salinger writes the book as if Holden Caulfield speaks directly through the reader,
like a kid telling a story to his friends. Like with most conversations, there is more to infer from not
only the speaker says, but also how the speaker says it. In the book, readers can infer that Holden is

is Holden s vocabulary. Holden even states it himself: he has a lousy vocabulary (11) and most of it
consists of profanities and swear words. In part, Salinger creates a teenage tone to Holden s voice
through the mass amount of profanities in the writing. Most mature adult characters in the book use
vulgar words little to none, and all the children in the book do not even know any swear words. Only
the characters close to Holden s age and maturity levels swear like Holden. In addition, Salinger also
creates a feeling of separation between Holden and the adults through the differences in the amount of
profanities the characters speak. More than once someone more mature tells Holden to [s]top swearing

throughout the whole novel. In a way, Salinger creates a rebellious streak to Holden a way that he will

something is not right when it comes to profanities. When childlike identities mix with profanities,
Holden feels uncomfortable. He hates how young and childlike Sunny is as a

Comparison between Metropolis and Blade Runner
Comparison between Metropolis and Blade Runner
From the silent epic of Fritz Lang Metropolis 1927 to Ridley s Scott s spectacular Blade Runner 1982
the connection between architecture and film has always been intimate. The most apparent concepts
that connect these two films are the overall visuals of both films and their vision of city of the future.
The futuristic city of both Scott and Lang are distinct in their landscapes, geography, and social
structure. These two films sought to envision a future where technology was the basis by which
society functioned. Technology was the culture and the cities would crumble without it. Metropolis
and Blade Runner uses the themes relationships amongst female sexuality and male vision, and
technology. However, Gender roles and technology seems to be the most important part in both films.
Blade Runner became a cult classic. The film may have survived long enough to benefit from a
renewed taste for darker, more violent sci fi. It s appeal has less to do with a fascination for outer
space (which does not feature beyond reference in a few lines of dialogue) than with a vision of earth
and humankind in the near future (Roberts and Wallis Pg 157 8). Both films have a timeless quality to
it, as they are representative of the future of our planet earth. I find it so interesting that even though
these films were made in different times their ideas about the futuristic city and society are almost
identical.

nature can support mental clarity and uplift your mood. William Wordsworth and John Muir use
diction and syntax in I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud and Calypso Borealis to ultimately illustrate their
love and appreciation for nature.
In I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud, William Wordsworth uses diction and syntax as he guides us
through a journey in nature that greatly impacted him. In stanza one, Wordsworth uses the phrase, I
wandered lonely as a cloud (Wordsworth). The words wandered and lonely generally have a negative
connotation, and therefore ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This Calypso meeting happened some forty five years ago, and it was more memorable and
impressive than any of my meetings with human beings excepting, perhaps, Emerson and one or two
others (Muir). Words such as frail and lovely that were used in paragraph four create delicate and
beautiful imagery. However, paragraph two couldn t be more different. I had been fording streams
more and more difficult to cross and wading bogs and swamps that seemed more and more extensive
and more difficult to force one s way through (Muir). The contrast between paragraph two and four
was intended to shock the reader with difference. In paragraph two, Muir sounds like he cannot hold
on any longer. This is shown by his use of words like difficult and extensive. He later switches his
attitude completely in paragraph four by using words such as frail and lovely. This is to show the
reader how important the Calypso Borealis meeting was to him, and the impact that was created. Once
again, this demonstrates vulnerability and makes the author s story more appealing. When a reader is
able to clearly see how the writer feels based upon their analysis of the author s word choice, it forms
a connection and causes the reader to further analyze how they can relate to the feelings or emotions

The Role Of Beatty In Fahrenheit 451
Beatty and the rest of the firemen caught Montag in his act of having books in his home. The firemen
were called to a burning job, and it ended up being Montag s home. His wife called in the alarm. They
forced Montag to burn his house down with a flamethrower. With this same flamethrower, Montag
burnt and killed Beatty. Beatty never really tried to stop him, and Montag discovered this later on
during his escape from the city. After Montag killed Beatty and the other firemen, he began to run. He
ran and ran, knowing that he would probably die. He knew that he shouldn t, but he went to Faber s
house. He and Faber watched the news. War was being declared, and they were out for Montag. They
were beginning to let out the hound. The Hound would be able to track ... Show more content on

Montag ran as the helicopters and the Hound were gaining on him fast. He made it to a river just in
time. This had been his goal because Faber had told him that he would be safe if he reached it, along
with the railroad. Once he got there, he changed clothes and sent himself floating down the river. He
floated until he was washed upon the shore. Montag was safe from the Hound. He walked through the
woods and through huge piles of leaves to discover the railroad. He came across many men who lived
there, and they welcomed him. They were very intelligent because they had had a lot of experience
with books in their past, which was why they had escaped the city to live there. All of them including
Montag watched the news and saw an innocent man framed as Montag killed by the Hound because
the government had given up their search. They and Montag talked about books. Montag gave them
the Book of Ecclesiastes. They talked about how they each had

Foreign Exchange Market Essay
Introduction Any time someone travels to a foreign country, chances are they needed to exchange their
money, and in doing so, participated in ForEx trading. For many first time traders the Foreign
Exchange market can seem very confusing. ForEx is short for Foreign Exchange, it is the market in
which people can exchange currencies from all over the world (Peters, J. 2012). When someone trades
on the foreign exchange market, they are buying once currency and selling another. Buying and selling
occurs at the same time in the ForEx market, which is why currencies are always quoted in pairs
(Peters, J. 2012). Various factors such as economics and geopolitics cause exchange rates to fluctuate,
so currencies rise and fall against each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When viewing a currency table, or deciding to trade a pair, the symbol of the currency in which you
are buying and selling, for example EUR/USD. The first currency mentioned, which in this case is
called the euro, is considered the base currency. The second currency listed in the pair is called the
counter currency. The most commonly traded pairs are called the majors, and these include
EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GPD/USD, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, and USD/CAD (Kritzer, A. 2012). Notice
that the US dollar is always listed as one of the currencies in a major pair. The major pairs make up a
large portion of the ForEx market, and as a result, have high liquidity (Kritzer, A. 2012). In addition to
the major pairs, there is also something called crosses (Kritzer, A. 2012). Cross pairs do not contain
the US dollar as a currency, but contain other major currencies, For example the Euro and the Swiss
Franc EUR/CHF. The last type of pair traded on the ForEx market is the exotics. Exotics are pairs that
have one major currency, and another that is from an emerging market, such as the Singapore dollar
SGD or South African rand ZAR (Kritzer, A. 2012). Why is Asia Different? When trading on the
ForEx market with currencies from Asia, things can be a little tricky. Unlike the US and most of
Europe, there is no dominant currency in Asia. Almost every country uses its own

I m the light in the mall when the power is gone
The shadow in the corner, just playin along
I ma lay right in my bed, I m rolling aside

Linear Regressions
This project set out to determine the accuracies of predicting movie box office revenue and classifying
the success. Using various techniques and data from reputable movie sites, we were able to generate
numerous prediction and classification models with their own accuracies attached. We were guided by
what previous literature have covered on the two topics we wanted to investigate. The literature
review gave us a clear pathway to follow in terms of where to collect data, what type of data to use,
what techniques and methods work best and what type of results to expect. There were a few movie
sites that were used that were used regularly by researchers. The type of data that the researchers
collected were wither movie features or social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
We decided to keep movies in the dataset that were English and from the USA. We also wanted to
only include movies that were released in USA and abroad. The data we did not need was filtered out
and the data features that were not pre release were removed. When it came to predicting the
worldwide box office revenue, we wanted to use linear regression and SVM. This was because many
researchers had used these techniques. When using linear regression we realised that our data needed
transforming as the linear regression assumptions were violated. The Box Cox transform we used
transformed our dependent variables and worked well. The assumptions of the linear regression were
met. The forward selection procedure used helped identify which variables were good predictors in the
models. Linear regression has certain assumptions, so in order to not violate those assumptions, it is
crucial to pick the best variables for the model. The best model we found using this procedure met all
the assumptions and gave good prediction accuracies. The results obtained from the linear regression
and SVM models indicated that the accuracies all of the models were very high. Linear regression and
SVM achieved similar results with SVM just slightly achieving better accuracy rates As we were
predicting box office revenue using pre release data only, the accuracies of 80% plus were a good
surprise. Transforming the worldwide box office revenue

  • 4. Economic and Social Costs of Inequality in Australia Analyse the economic and social costs and benefits of inequality in distribution of income in Australia. Income inequality describes the extent to which income is distributed unevenly among residents of an area. High levels of inequality indicate that a small number of people receive most of the total income, and that most people receive only a small share of the total. There are many advantages and disadvantages associated with the inequitable distribution of income. Income inequality can lead to an increase in the productive capacity of resources and so an increase in real GDP per capita. Class divisions can result in tensions between people and different regions. Wage disputes between workers and employers in which workers try to improve their income levels are a common cause of dispute. These divisions can sometimes lead to social and economic instability. As shown earlier, inequality leads to poverty problems but the facts have not been explored. Australia has a very high level of relative poverty with 12.2% of Australians living below the poverty line, defined as receiving an income below 50% of the median income level. Poverty tends to trap families into a vicious cycle of low incomes and limited economic opportunities. High poverty levels also tend to be associated with increased levels of crime, suicide, disease and reduced life expectancy. As you can see, there are many economic and social costs and benefits of inequality in the distribution of income but in general, having high levels of income inequality is bad for an economy and individuals so Australia has continually attempted to have relatively low levels of income ... Since then the United States has focused their efforts on the criminalization and prohibition of drug use, possession, trafficking, sale, and the production of it. The issues pertaining to the War on Drugs has become a bigger issue throughout the years due to the United States being the largest market place for illegal drugs and substances. The United States has spent billions a year on drug war policies to help and try to discourage the production, distribution, and consumption of any drugs that are found illegal in the United States. When it comes to drug use, efforts to lower the use and flow of illegal drugs in the United States have yet to be succeeded. On the contrary, the use and production of illegal drugs have only seemed to grow. Sadly, punitive laws have not reduced the use or the availability of illegal drugs but have actually had collateral damage. Example of said collateral damage is drug related violence, health epidemics, mass incarceration, and the waste of law enforcement. Sadly, many have been murdered due to the act of violence between criminal activity fighting over territory and or power made due to drug trade. Since 2000, the amount of people living with HIV has tripled due to injecting drugs. Kennedy signed into effect a landmark legislation that would guarantee equal pay to both men and women working under the same employer. However, to this present day, women still only make, on average, 77 cents to every dollar that a male earns. This paper focuses on some of the underlying problems as to why there is still such a large gender pay discrimination over half a century later. More specifically, some of the policies maybe could be put in place and the positive impact(s) each policy could have on women in the work place. Lastly, we will look at some of the laws that have been in place, and how effective or ineffective they have been. Introduction More than fifty years ago, in 1963, President John F. Kennedy signed landmark legislation that would guarantee equal pay to both men and women working under the same employer. The Equal Pay Act was the first in a series of major federal and state laws that had a profound effect on job opportunities and earnings for women over the next half century, and laid the foundation for the movement of women into the paid labor force at unprecedented levels (whitehouse.gov). However, there is still much more to be done. According to a recent study, American women today who work full time, year round, are still only paid 77 cents for every dollar paid to their male counterparts (Kim p.1). The story centers on the profound suffering Job faces when an Accusing Angel decides to challenge Job s faith in God (pg. 6). As Job is tested the following questions have risen from its readers. Is Job patient? Is he impatient? Some people read The Book of Job and think it tells the story of an incredibly patient man, who withstands immense trials and yet never experiences aggravation with the test God allows to fall upon him. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Job is tested for his faith, trust, and love for God (pg. 6). The Accusing Angel is focused on proving God wrong, on making Job lose faith (pg.6). Job is called a great follower of God, by God Himself and the Accusing Angel clearly does not like that God has shown so much favor on Job (pg. 6). The test that Job is given by the Accusing Angel, and allowed to be given by God, challenges Job s relationship with God to see if it is a legitimate relationship or not. As humans we know that every relationship is tested at some point or another, whether it be a friendship, a relationship with a family member, or a relationship with a significant other. When relationships are challenged they fall apart or make it through the struggle, this is how we know if a relationship with our loved one is strong and durable or if it is shallow and weak. God and Job have a relationship; God says that they do on page 6 when He references Job as one of his servants. As Job is tested, so is his relationship with God, does he truly love and trust God to be able to make it through the struggle? On page 33 Job makes it clear that Only God is wise and he will do his part and stay faithful to God in the trial so that they can still have a relationship. • 11. Pride And Prejudice By Jane Austen Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is a satire novel from 1813. The story is about a couple named the Bennets who try to get their five daughters to marry kind and rich gentlemen. The main characters however are the Bennets second and headstrong daughter Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy, her aristocratic suitor. Throughout the entire novel, the two lovers must overcome pride and prejudice before love can bring the novel to its magnificent conclusion . During the novel, there are two marriage proposals between Darcy and Collins, Mr. Bennets cousin, which are both for Elizabeth. Both proposals have similarities but also have many differences. Mr. Collins and Darcy s proposals are similar in three ways: They both are ill timed; they are both ridiculous, and Elizabeth rejects both of them. The first reason Mr. Collins and Darcy s proposals are similar is that they both are ill timed. When Collins proposes to Elizabeth, it is right after she finishes breakfast with her sisters and before she can do anything else to make herself more presentable. (Austen, Jane. • 19. Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy Theory Introduction I believe that every one has different problem, because every one has different beliefs. Therefore, solving our problems should be connecting with our beliefs. Rational emotive behavior therapy is one of my favorite counseling theories because it helps the clients to change their feeling acting via change the client thought. Two Types of Disturbance Rational emotive behavior therapy argues that a defining characteristic of humans is that we have desires. We want certain things to happen and other things not to happen. However, we also a have a strong tendency to transform these desires into absolute musts. When we hold rigid beliefs of this nature, we disturb ourselves. Thus, in REBT, rigidity is seen as being at the core of psychologically disturbed responses to adversity (Neenan Dryden, 2010). Rational emotive behavior therapy suggests that human beings defeat or disturb themselves in two main ways: (1) by holding irrational beliefs about their self (ego disturbance) or (2) by holding irrational beliefs about their emotional or physical comfort (discomfort disturbance). Frequently, the two go together. Ego disturbance represents an upset to the self image. It results from holding negative self evaluations about one s self such as I am no good and so on. These beliefs create ego anxiety. Thus, emotional tension resulting from the perception that one s self or personal worth is threatened. Although not defensive, Bure contributed on the scoreboard, achieving back to back 60 goal seasons with Vancouver. Disappointingly, Bure was traded to the Florida Panthers in 1999. Despite the trade, a new star would be arriving in a few years: goaltender Roberto Luongo. When he arrived, Luongo was an instant hit with the fans, and his play on the ice was the same. Known for never giving up, Luongo once said It doesn t matter how many times you get knocked down. The only thing that matters is how many times you get up (AZ quotes). At 6 3 and 205 lbs., it was hard for Luongo to get knocked down, but when he did fall, he always rebounded and improved his play. Mainly known for his cat like reflexes and agility, Luongo also had one of the best glove hands in the NHL. In 2010, Luongo s dedication was recognized, and he was chosen to play for Canada in the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. After winning gold, Luongo certainly lived up to his reputation. Soon after, in 2011, he came close to a Stanley cup, leading the Canucks to the finals. Astoundingly, Vancouver decided to trade Luongo in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Misconceptions of Rastafarianism Sam Cook 12/1/2012 Rhetoric of Reggae Tuna (Professor Snider) Common Misconceptions of the Rastafarian People When an average person hears the word Rastafarianism, several things come to mind. Some examples would be the stereotypical images of dreadlocks (long braids or natural locks of hair), the smoking of ganja (marijuana), the busy streets of Trenchtown, and the reggae rhythms of the one and only Bob Marley. Unfortunately, those things are not necessarily the makings of what truly embodies the Rastafari culture. First of all, Rastafari is not a cult. According to www.merriam webster.com, a cult is 1.) A formal religious veneration. and 2.) A system of religious beliefs and ritual. If someone were to say that Rastafarianism is a cult based on the first definition, then the same assumption would therefore have to be made across the board about all organized religions. Secondly, and perhaps even more importantly than the first definition, Rastafari is not a religion. It is a spiritual livity. • 22. Barry Schwartz s The Paradox Of Choice Barry Schwartz titled his talk The Paradox of Choice because choice presents both good and bad things. Because of this, choice is a paradox. We live in a world full of a million different choices: where to eat, what car to buy, what phone to get, who we associate with, the list goes on and on. If we didn t have any choices, our lives would be dull and mediocre at best. But with so many choices, studies have shown that we are less happy because of specific factors that have to do with having large amounts of choices to make and options to chose from. According to Schwartz, choices make us miserable because of a few different things. One of which is the opportunity cost. The opportunity cost causes us to think about what we are missing because when you choose one thing, you sacrifice another. This can make people miserable because while they should be enjoying one thing, all they can think about it what they are missing because of what they gave up. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are so many options to choose from. Surely we can find one that makes everybody happy right? Because of the paradox of choice, this can actually easily be wrong. We debate for so long about where to eat because there are so many options it feels impossible to decide. Once we have made a decision, some of us may feel disappointed because of opportunity cost and the escalation of expectations. Because there were so many options to choose from, we had to give one thing up to get something else. For example, if I gave up Texas Road House for Olive Garden, the whole time I m at Olive Garden eating breadsticks, I may be thinking about how much I wish I had a Texas Road House role. Also, by choosing among many options, people s expectations may have escalated. This is because people think they have chosen the best possible option and their minds, they make the food unrealistically delicious. When the food comes, they may be let ... In a Federal setup like India, Centre State relations carry a lot of importance and weightage in governance. A carry forward of the British era, the institution of the Governor is not merely a figurehead, but performs the important function of being an intermediary between the Centre and the State. Unfortunately, the post has lost much respect and consideration nowadays. Sarojini Naidu, the first woman Governor of India once famously remarked that she felt like a bird in a golden cage . It has become a resting place for old politicians. The Governors are appointed by the President under Article 156, based on recommendations of the Council of Ministers at the Centre, effectively giving a lot of power to the Centre in matters of gubernatorial appointments, which allows the Centre to operate a free will in a capricious manner in appointment and removal of Governors. The recommendations of Commissions constituted for the purpose of suggesting alternatives to the already existing situation were seldom incorporated. The above problems pose a critical situation not only for the Federal system of India, but also attack at the very root of fair and democratic procedure. In stanza one, Wordsworth uses the phrase, I wandered lonely as a cloud (Wordsworth). The words wandered and lonely generally have a negative connotation, and therefore ... This Calypso meeting happened some forty five years ago, and it was more memorable and impressive than any of my meetings with human beings excepting, perhaps, Emerson and one or two others (Muir). Words such as frail and lovely that were used in paragraph four create delicate and beautiful imagery. However, paragraph two couldn t be more different. I had been fording streams more and more difficult to cross and wading bogs and swamps that seemed more and more extensive and more difficult to force one s way through (Muir). The contrast between paragraph two and four was intended to shock the reader with difference. In paragraph two, Muir sounds like he cannot hold on any longer. This is shown by his use of words like difficult and extensive. He later switches his attitude completely in paragraph four by using words such as frail and lovely. This is to show the reader how important the Calypso Borealis meeting was to him, and the impact that was created. Once again, this demonstrates vulnerability and makes the author s story more appealing. When a reader is able to clearly see how the writer feels based upon their analysis of the author s word choice, it forms a connection and causes the reader to further analyze how they can relate to the feelings or emotions in the ... • 40. The Role Of Beatty In Fahrenheit 451 Beatty and the rest of the firemen caught Montag in his act of having books in his home. The firemen were called to a burning job, and it ended up being Montag s home. His wife called in the alarm. They forced Montag to burn his house down with a flamethrower. With this same flamethrower, Montag burnt and killed Beatty. Beatty never really tried to stop him, and Montag discovered this later on during his escape from the city. After Montag killed Beatty and the other firemen, he began to run. He ran and ran, knowing that he would probably die. He knew that he shouldn t, but he went to Faber s house. He and Faber watched the news. War was being declared, and they were out for Montag. They were beginning to let out the hound. The Hound would be able to track ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Montag ran as the helicopters and the Hound were gaining on him fast. He made it to a river just in time. This had been his goal because Faber had told him that he would be safe if he reached it, along with the railroad. Once he got there, he changed clothes and sent himself floating down the river. He floated until he was washed upon the shore. Montag was safe from the Hound. He walked through the woods and through huge piles of leaves to discover the railroad. He came across many men who lived there, and they welcomed him. They were very intelligent because they had had a lot of experience with books in their past, which was why they had escaped the city to live there. All of them including Montag watched the news and saw an innocent man framed as Montag killed by the Hound because the government had given up their search. They and Montag talked about books. Montag gave them the Book of Ecclesiastes. They talked about how they each had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 41. Foreign Exchange Market Essay Introduction Any time someone travels to a foreign country, chances are they needed to exchange their money, and in doing so, participated in ForEx trading. For many first time traders the Foreign Exchange market can seem very confusing. ForEx is short for Foreign Exchange, it is the market in which people can exchange currencies from all over the world (Peters, J. 2012). When someone trades on the foreign exchange market, they are buying once currency and selling another. Buying and selling occurs at the same time in the ForEx market, which is why currencies are always quoted in pairs (Peters, J. 2012). Various factors such as economics and geopolitics cause exchange rates to fluctuate, so currencies rise and fall against each ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When viewing a currency table, or deciding to trade a pair, the symbol of the currency in which you are buying and selling, for example EUR/USD. The first currency mentioned, which in this case is called the euro, is considered the base currency. The second currency listed in the pair is called the counter currency. The most commonly traded pairs are called the majors, and these include EUR/USD, USD/JPY, GPD/USD, USD/CHF, AUD/USD, and USD/CAD (Kritzer, A. 2012). Notice that the US dollar is always listed as one of the currencies in a major pair. The major pairs make up a large portion of the ForEx market, and as a result, have high liquidity (Kritzer, A. 2012). In addition to the major pairs, there is also something called crosses (Kritzer, A. 2012). Cross pairs do not contain the US dollar as a currency, but contain other major currencies, For example the Euro and the Swiss Franc EUR/CHF. The last type of pair traded on the ForEx market is the exotics. Exotics are pairs that have one major currency, and another that is from an emerging market, such as the Singapore dollar SGD or South African rand ZAR (Kritzer, A. 2012). Why is Asia Different? When trading on the ForEx market with currencies from Asia, things can be a little tricky. Unlike the US and most of Europe, there is no dominant currency in Asia. Almost every country uses its own ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 44. Linear Regressions This project set out to determine the accuracies of predicting movie box office revenue and classifying the success. Using various techniques and data from reputable movie sites, we were able to generate numerous prediction and classification models with their own accuracies attached. We were guided by what previous literature have covered on the two topics we wanted to investigate. The literature review gave us a clear pathway to follow in terms of where to collect data, what type of data to use, what techniques and methods work best and what type of results to expect. There were a few movie sites that were used that were used regularly by researchers. The type of data that the researchers collected were wither movie features or social ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We decided to keep movies in the dataset that were English and from the USA. We also wanted to only include movies that were released in USA and abroad. The data we did not need was filtered out and the data features that were not pre release were removed. When it came to predicting the worldwide box office revenue, we wanted to use linear regression and SVM. This was because many researchers had used these techniques. When using linear regression we realised that our data needed transforming as the linear regression assumptions were violated. The Box Cox transform we used transformed our dependent variables and worked well. The assumptions of the linear regression were met. The forward selection procedure used helped identify which variables were good predictors in the models. Linear regression has certain assumptions, so in order to not violate those assumptions, it is crucial to pick the best variables for the model. The best model we found using this procedure met all the assumptions and gave good prediction accuracies. The results obtained from the linear regression and SVM models indicated that the accuracies all of the models were very high. Linear regression and SVM achieved similar results with SVM just slightly achieving better accuracy rates As we were predicting box office revenue using pre release data only, the accuracies of 80% plus were a good surprise.
