2. Against Same-Sex-Marriage
Against Same Sex Marriage Marriage is the formal relationship between a man and a woman, usually
recognized by the law, by which they become husband and wife. In terms of legal recognition and
acknowledgement, the majority of states, authorities, and jurisdiction limit marriage to opposite sex
couples or two persons of opposite gender. Same sex marriage would weaken the definition and
respect for the institution of marriage. When discussing same sex marriage, the true meaning and
definition of marriage is the topic that often comes up, which is why it is very significant to remember
the true importance of marriage. I strongly believe that same sex marriage should not be legalized
because it would harm many individuals. If same sex marriage is legalized, the birth rates would
decrease, fewer children would be raised by an opposite married parents, and medical insurance
costs/charges would rise. Legalizing same sex marriage would cause the birth rates to decrease. One
of the most basic tasks or responsibilities of any human society is to reproduce. Marriage, which is the
privilege of male female sexual relationship, is given to every human society because it is the only
type of relationship that has the capability of natural procreation. Offering the benefits and status of
marriage to those who are not capable of natural procreation would dramatically and negatively
change the society. The long term consequences would be that fewer opposite sex relationships would

Professor David A. Ostrowski
Agile Methodology is an approach to project management that for the most part is used with software
development. Agile Methodology is a very important part of software development. Throughout this
paper I intend to discuss what the movement toward agility means for the future of systems analysis
and design (Hoffer, George, amp; Valacich, 2011). In the year of 2001 many proponents met in Utah
and came to discuss and agree on underlying principles (Hoffer, George, amp; Valacich, 2011).
Through this discussion they came up with the The Agile Manifesto (Hoffer, George, amp; Valacich,
2011). There is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last thing to discuss a focus on self adaptive processes which means that over time software
should be improved a refine and people should adapt to the way new software is compared to later
versions (Lin, 2011). This makes me think of program Windows the newer version are a little bit
trickier that the later version but are made to make things easier and run smoother for the consumer. In
conclusion to this paper I have found that the Agile Manifesto is a great approach to use when it
comes to understanding Agile and was that it can better our future. The three principals can be viewed
as 1) prediction do not always come out to expectations but learn to adapt to the outcome,2) find
people with the skills needed to accomplish the goal but that can also work as a team and 3) figure a
way to adapt to new and refine way of things. I know that the principals that have been established are
not only great tools to help build, maintain and move software but are great steps to use when really
working with any type of project.

dominated for several years by Blockbuster, with its pioneer business model of delivering convenience

the 80 s, 90 s, but with the new age of online movies, the consumer behavior changed drastically, and
other companies, as Netflix and Redbox, providing online content and innovative services, started to

Beethoven said, Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy. This has been an
absolute truth in my life. Music has paved the way for me to traverse the obstacles in life; Broadway
musicals especially. West Side Story soundtrack helped me through my first breakup, while Bring it
On , encouraged me while training for a triathlon. My connection with music has been, but one would
never expect to find an integral piece of themselves in a musical about a founding father.
Hamilton: An American Musical is my favorite Broadway musical. Countless hours have been spent
listening to the score, and putting on one woman shows, singing all forty six songs for anyone who
will listen.. Although the production is centred around the charismatic personality of Alexander
Hamilton, the deepest for me lies with Eliza Hamilton, the dutiful wife of Alexander Hamilton.
Eliza s transformation from a shadow of a girl to a fearless, strong woman hit home with me. Through
great personal sacrifice and sheer will, Eliza is able to create her own distinct legacy, one that
resonates to this very day. Eliza in Act I is demure and naive. After she falls head over heels in love
with Alexander, she never truly stands up for herself even when he continually chooses his work over

A hospitals HIM director needs to understand how to maintain the integrity and security of all
financial and clinical data as it travels seamlessly across a network of different applications. For this to
happen, the applications must first go through a hardwired translation process to ensure proper
communication between the various software systems; this is called integration. However, none of this
is possible without interfaces which connect the multitude of hardware devices and software
applications that are used throughout the different departments in a hospital system. Information

architecture or standards that make it possible for diverse EHR systems to work compatibly
(American Health Information Management Association, 2013). The system should include standard
functional interface capabilities to ensure data integrity, and privacy is kept between different
departmental and care setting information systems. For example, can the proposed vendor support the
transmission of data to and from various department information systems? Accurate lab results need to

7. The American Political Tradition Summary
Richard Hofstadter examines the political beliefs of the founding fathers in the first chapter of the
American Political Tradition. Ideas thought about by most Americans to be the center of our
organization, our founders viewed liberty, democracy, and property, as evil. The composition can be
depicted to be vicious as well, because liberty, democracy, and property are linked to the United States
Constitution.
Democracy is first stated in the chapter by Hofstadter, democracy is evil according to our founding
fathers. Men are selfish and argumentative. Hofstadter says, Calvinistic sense of humor, evil and
damnation. Basically saying that our democracy is bound to fail. It also has been said that the most
seen dangers rest in the democratic parts of America s constitution. Our founding fathers believed that
democracy could potentially be the root problem in our country. During the time period democracy
wasn t seen as a political party that brought progression to our country and didn t last very long.

Like the words in brackets suggest, Boesman in this monologue is angry and has an element of
aggressiveness. This monologue is recited at a very violent voice. The monologue however resembles
an irony as Boesman speaks so much about freedom that he claims to have and yet does not have at

the film, it is planned that Eve shoots Roger with blanks and that they would meet elsewhere after
Roger was pronounced dead. As Roger exits the car to meet Eve, the audience can see that
compositionally the scene is divided down the middle. The trees in middle divides Roger s world from

in this scene would have to be Eve s white car. The

Abstract: Portfolio matrix is probably the most important tool for strategic marketing planning,
especially in the strategy selection stage. Position of the organization in the portfolio matrix and it s
corresponding marketing strategy depends on the aggregation of values of relevant strategic factors.
Traditional approach to portfolio matrix analysis uses averaging function as an aggregation operator.
This approach is very limited in realistic business environment characterized by complex ... Show

It is clear that the use of weighted arithmetic mean as an aggregation operator can t express all the
possible interactions between strategic factors that exist in a realistic business environment. This
explains why the traditional approach to portfolio matrix analysis is highly limited, with the inherited
weaknesses that can t be overcome without substantial modification. Therefore, under previous
conditions, it is obvious that a new approach to portfolio matrix analysis is needed. This new approach
must take in consideration all the possible forms of interactions between strategic factors that can
occur in a realistic business environment.
These interactions can be expressed with a logical aggregation operator, so a new approach to
portfolio matrix analysis can be based on this operator. W eighted arithmetic mean and other known
aggregation operators are just, as we will see in the following sections, special cases of logical
aggregation operator.

13. The Need For Holistic Education
Over the last few years the need for holistic Education has drastically expanded as the parents,
students, and educators have expressed their need for a different option for mainstream education is
required. Holistic education is a philosophy of education based on the assumption that each person
finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community of interest, to the
natural world, and to humanitarian values such as compassion and peace. Within this holistic
perspective, the student is situated as a dynamic, participatory and critical learner who sees and
comprehends him. The holistic vision incorporates a feeling of the individual who is associated with
his or her encompassing setting and environment (J, Miller 2004). Holistic education is an adventure
for both the teacher and the student.

education is a radical endeavour. As mentioned by Hare (2010), the educational journey starts the

things that seem to be obvious. The yellow wallpaper itself is presented as a symbol of creativity. With

I have been studying Chinese history for a long time, but the interesting phenomenon is in 5000 year
history of China, there is only one formal empress called Wu Zetian, and the amounts of emperors are
four hundred and eight. The percentage of women to be a leader of China is 0.25%. Nowadays, Hilary
Clinton has been reported by all the newspaper and TV shows, because she is the only woman who
has possibility to be the first female president. Comparing Chinese history and American history, it is
rare to see that the women become the decision maker of the country. Also there is an article points
that
Studies show that women in the United States often face doubts about their leadership and are judged
more harshly than men. Alice Eagly, who teaches management and psychology at Northwestern
University, points to studies showing that female college presidents and police chiefs face additional
criticism when they fail. (1)
After looking at these information, there are some questions suddenly popped in my head about
women in leadership. Why women have lower percentage of being a leader than man? Can women
achieve true equality?
Depending on the research, of all the people in parliament in the world, 13 percent are women. In the
corporate sector, women at the top, C level jobs, board seats tops out at 15, 16 percent. The numbers

18. Characters In Alice Munro s Differently
In Alice Munro s short story Differently, the main character Georgia recounts memories of Maya and
their fallout when she visits her friend s widowed husband many years later. Upon her visit, her mind
is flooded with memories of friendship, infidelity, and broken trust which inevitably disconnected her
from Maya and Ben (Georgia s husband). Throughout the text, the author highlights the main
character s inability to filter through many details as she describes the end of various relationships
following Maya s betrayal. The author s thorough description of settings, characters, and events
emphasizes Georgia s difficulty in focusing on what details of her life are important, as most of them
seem important to her.
The opening words of Alice Munro s Differently introduce the style the author uses throughout the
short story: Georgia once took a creative writing course, and what the instructor told her was: Too
many things. Too many things going on at the same time; also too many people [...] What do you want
us to pay attention to? Think (Munro 1). These lines echo in the mind of the reader as they dive further
into the text, reading about too many things and meeting too many people.
Munro introduces Georgia, Raymond, Maya, Ben, Harvey, Anne, Hilda and her former creative
writing instructor all within the first few pages. The role of each character (aside from the creative
writing instructor) is clouded with the details of their physical appearance or small mannerisms.

I. Introduction In the August 2015, most of the Australian business media reported that the board of
Federation Centre ( FDC ) sacked Steven Sewell as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and then
replaced him with Angus McNaughton as a new CEO. This removal subsequently surprised investors
and markets because it occurred just two months after the completion of the merger between FDC and
Novion Property Group ( Novion ). Moreover, there is no further explanation from the board of FDC
about the reason of removal Steven Sewell. Consequently, the shares of the FDC declined 6% since
the replacement. The removal of a director by the board in the FDC case creates legal and ethical
issues, which ultimately led to the onset of commercial issues. Despite the legal, ethical and
commercial issues, this case is strongly indicated that there are some problems in the mechanism of
removal directors stipulated in the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) ( Corporations Act ) S 203D and S
203E. This indication is underpinned by some cases in the Australian court in which directors are
removed also by the board. Therefore, this paper will analyse the legal, ethical and commercial issues

directors stipulated in the legislation, and compare other regulations in the common law and civil law

We likewise found that, regarding application security, most associations utilize strategic measures

security strategy. This is principally because of time to market weights, detaches in the middle of
designers and security experts, and the absence of compelling application security motivating forces.
Seventy percent of our review respondents don t gauge designers with security related measurements,
and 57% don t send security prerequisites downstream to guide quality and security testing.
Looking forward, as organizations ponder a more advanced and threatening risk scene, developing

24. Conuncianitarianism And Confucianism
Confucianism does not explicitly encourage war given its emphasis on humanity. This combination of
moral vision and political realism combined with his advocacy of strong political authorities that
nevertheless rule justly in service of the common good. Xunzi s vision of the good society and how it
fits into a multi state world which undergirds his critique of alternate discourses about war and the
government. Xunzian s vision of politics and war as a source for contemporary Confucian theory of
civilian military relations. The early Confucian figure Xunzi (xunzi, during 310 c. 220 BCE) gives a
sophisticated analysis of war, which he develops on the basis of a larger social and political vision that
he works out in considerable detail. This larger vision of human society is thoroughly normative in the
sense that Xunzi both argues for the value of his ideal conception of society, and relates these moral
arguments for the Confucian Dao or Way. Xunzi s led him to argue about war in ways that look
distinctive to Western ethicists, but still his preferred issues are revealing themselves as suggestive in
relation to current debates in military ethics. Judaism does not regard violence and war to promote
justice as always wrong. It accepts that certain kinds of war will be ethically justified, and that it is
sometimes morally acceptable to kill people. Before declaring war or starting a battle there must be a
genuine attempt to make peace and avoid the conflict. In much

25. Acute Renal Failures
Acute Renal Failure The kidneys are vitals organs that are responsible for various function in the
human body such as reabsorption, secretion and excretion. They are the filters that enable us to get
waste materials that are produced by metabolism or ingested. The most important element that they
filter is blood plasma. The kidneys simultaneously eliminate unwanted substances by excreting them
into the urine and return substances that are needed back in to the blood. While filtration is the
primary function the kidneys are responsible for regulation of arterial pressure, acid base balance and
excretion of hormones. Any injury to the kidney may result in an interruption of these functions. The
kidneys are highly vascular organs that receive on average about 1100ml of blood per min. which is
20 25% of total cardiac output. This large volume is necessary to provide enough plasma for the high
glomerular filtration rate needed to effectively regulate fluid volumes and solute concentrations.
Therefore when the blood supply to the kidneys is compromised the kidneys start to show signs of
failure. The causes of renal failure can divided into three categories prerenal, intrarenal, and postrenal.
Prerenal cute renal failure is a result of decreased blood flow to the kidneys. It can be a result cardiac
failure and of intravascular volume depletion such as hemorrhage and burns. Without adequate blood
flow the glomerular filtration rate is reduced as well as the amount of

26. Play Macbeth
At the beginning of the play, Macbeth is a respected general, a devoted husband, and a loyal subject of
the king. The first of the witches prophecies bring out his ambitious nature, but he struggles with
killing the king. By attacking his manhood, Lady Macbeth convinces him to committ the first of his
evil deeds. Macbeth s evil deed causes him to suffer from fear and guilt, which leads to even more evil
crimes. Then Macbeth becomes paranoid, suffering from hallucinations and sleeplessness. He
becomes less human as he tries over and over to establish his manhood. His ruthlessness in killing
Banquo and Macduff s family shows how perverted his idea of manliness really is.
Macbeth s degeneration is also seen in the collapse of his marital ... Show more content on

Learning of this flaw in the execution of his scheme, Macbeth laments: Then comes my fit again. I had
else been perfect; Whole as the marble (III.iv.19 21). From Macbeth s standpoint, the reason that the
ghost of Banquo appears at the feast is that the loose end of Fleance s remaining alive has left him
cabin d, cribb d, confin d, bound in to saucy doubts and fears (III.iv.23 24).
Those doubts and fears lead Macbeth back to the witches and toward still more evil deeds. Having
dispatched Banquo to prevent one prophecy from coming true, he is later warned about Macduff and
then seemingly reassured that no harm can befall him unless miraculous conditions occur the
marching of a wood, the appearance of a man not born by woman. These things, of course, do take
place, making Macbeth a victim of his own understanding. Macbeth reaches tragic heights in the
soliloquy on the meaninglessness of life that he speaks after learning of Lady Macbeth s death. But
even after it is plain that the prophecies of the witches are working toward his destruction, Macbeth
displays his mettle. In their final encounter, Macbeth tells Macduff that The mind I sway by, and the
heart I bear / Shall never sag with doubt, nor shake with fear (V.iii.9 10). He is then told by Macduff
that his adversary is not of woman born. Yet even after the last prop has fallen, Macbeth tells Macduff

27. Compare And Contrast When Wilson Smith Goes To Washington
Jefferson Smith shares almost no similarities with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. The movie Mr.
Smith goes to Washington portrays this statement very well. Jefferson Smith was honest, civilized, and
of good character. However, Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are immature, liars, and not kind to
each other at all. Throughout this election process and the movie, these three different characters
cannot be compared to each other for similarities. In this movie, Mr. Smith goes to Washington, we
see Mr. Smith was the only honest character found in the movie. Everyone was lying against him
throughout the movie, and Mr. Smith couldn t do anything about it. He proved his honesty when he
filibustered for about twenty four hours. It really showed how loyal he was to what he wanted. We see
the candidates for the twenty sixteen election are the complete opposite. They are dishonest with all
the small details and the big issues. Whether it s about sending and deleting emails, or sexually
harassing women, we see these two candidates have it covered. ... Show more content on

Mr. Smith was mature and civilized. He was kind to everyone around him and looked towards the
younger generation to assist their growth. In this election, we cannot help but notice the order in which

28. The Theory Of Liberal Ideology
Political Science Midterm I will be speaking on important political terms, explain the development of
liberal ideology in the United States of America, and touch on a few other areas of political culture.
First off liberalism; liberalism is a way of political worldview by the ideas of liberty and equality.
Although in a certain time in our history equality was somewhat of a lie. Slavery, racism, and
feminism prove that not every single person on the planet had equal rights. In the 1650 s to 1780 s
western Europe had people that were thinking of ways to enlighten the people and bring change to the
world they all live in, called the Age of Enlightenment. Mostly philosophers emphasized reason,
analysis, and individualism. People like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are liberal liberals, conservative liberals, and radical liberals. Which mostly all follow the basic
structure of liberalism. For example liberal liberals believe that for social safety people need help to
feed their families and take care of themselves because not everyone can make it in this world and put
food in peoples mouths, afford medical insurance, civilized people try to help each other, not leave
them starving and without care. On the conservative side, there views are that people should be
responsible for themselves, if they are given the chance they are completely capable of supporting
themselves and their families. They also believe that if government always picks up and pampers the
poor or needy, they will be weak and lose their motivation to work. For money, taxes, and the part that
the government plays; the conservatives believe that government should serve the people. Not the
other way around. The liberals say that the proper function of a government is to solve issues,
decrease poverty, protect civil rights and liberties. And to make sure that all Americans have a fair
chance to succeed.
The dimensions of the ideology of liberalism are political and economic liberalism. Political
liberalism underlines the social contract. Where citizens can make laws and agree to follow those
laws. Most people believe that individuals know what is best for them. Also it allows people to
represent themselves without the need to worry

29. The Pros And Cons Of College
Remember when you were little and you d fall on the trampoline and everyone would keep jumping so
you couldn t get back up? That s college. Unknown
College is said to provide individuals of a better career opportunity, secured job, and higher paycheck.
Every year, students all around globe debate on what college they want to attend, or if they want to
attend college at all. In the United States, only 65.9 percent of students, who has graduated from high
school the previous spring, had chose to enrolled into college (Norris, para. 2). So the question here is,
if college is so great, why are the percent of participants so low? In this paper, two universities,
University of Kentucky and University of Louisville, will be compared by their admission rates,
prices, and student to faculty ratio.
In 2017, college admission rate dropped as low as 4.65% for the first time ever ( Admission Statistic ,
par. 2). College is competitive even for those who are extremely intelligent. In the University of
Kentucky, admission rate is around 70 percent ( UK Acceptance Rate , par. 2). The average composite
score is roughly a 21, meaning that about 50 percent of test takers score below a 21 (Ellen, par. 5).
This college s requirement for ACT ranges from a 23 to a 28, according to acceptancerate.com ( UK
Acceptance Rate , par. 2). The GPA, following the admission rate and ACT, is acceptable also. The
essential GPA goes from 3.23 to 3.52, which

The civilization known as the Sumerians, developed in the Mesopotamia era, are considered to be the
first culture to become civilized. As the Sumerians settled in Mesopotamia, a class structure gradually
took shape which allowed them to progress their society. The second characteristic which shows the
civilization of the Sumerians was their ability to create progress in agricultural skills and techniques.
The final characteristic representative in the first culture of Mesopotamia is their contribution to the
development of science and writing. Based on the characteristics that the Sumerians demonstrated we
can come to the conclusion that the Mesopotamia era was civilized.

system of writing called cuneiform. The writing system was developed due to the needs of religion,
commerce and government . With the cuneiform system, the Sumerians were able to record stories of
their religion to be passed done to future generations. This was important to the civilization as it
ensured the values of their religion could be carried on. The new writing system was also important to
the civilization as it allowed people to keep track of what they were trading and made the process of
trading more accurate. The government relied on the new cuneiform system as it gave them a new way
to record laws and policies. With the laws and policies displayed the society good maintain order more
easily, as everyone was aware what was acceptable and unacceptable. The development of the wheel
and the creation of a writing system show how the Sumerians were able to create significant
advancements in the science fields. These advancements show how the Sumerians created a civilized

Natural resource economics is greatly concerned with solving a phenomenon referred to as the
Tragedy of the Commons , also known as a situation that results in the overuse of open access
resources by independent agents, looking to retrieve as many resources as possible without giving
regard to other users of the common property. This essay focuses on the issue of Canadian fisheries as
a common example of the issue and a topic subject to much academic research.
This essay serves as a two part discussion of policies regarding common property open access.
Specifically, two main categories of common property source regulation price and quantity regulation.

Economists efforts to create a regulatory infrastructure have led to certain key policy assumptions.
The first step towards determining the effects of the fishing industry is to calculate the amount of
fishing capacity per season, based upon anticipated prices, costs, biomass level, and the regulations set
by the regulatory agency (Homans Wilen, 1997, p. 3). The government assumes a regulatory stance in
light of environmental goals, anticipating an amount of fishing activity, which is acceptable. The
combination of the government and the industry should theoretically result in an equilibrium between
the companies and the regulatory sector. Their main task is to characterize an equilibrium between the
fishing industry and the regulatory infrastructure so that various situations related to fishing are taken
into account. The cycle of biomass growth between seasons is dependent on the corresponding
harvest, biological growth, environmental effects and the predetermined quota. Ultimately, it is
assumed a full steady state can be reached. The goal of quantity regulation is to achieve a steady state
of biomass in the long run, given constant industry and regulatory behaviour (Homans Wilen, 1997, p.
9). PRICE REGULATION
Using economic incentives to conserve fisheries must occur under a regulatory framework that is
enforceable. Price regulation as a result of taxes leaves many

For instance, Americans from the south have different views and practices than Americans from the
north, east or west. The Smiths are a typical example of this. They are a blended family Mr. Smith
from the South and Mrs. Smith from the North. They consider themselves American not African
Americans just blacks living in American. This family follows many beliefs and practices of Native
Americans. Like many Americans they believe in gender equality, respect for self and others,
disciplining children the old fashion way and caring for their elders. They believe in learning from life

majority has some college or university degree. The Smith considers themselves a middle class family
and have routine doctor visits and checkups. They are insured and practice healthy eating habits and
exercise 2 3 times a week. Mrs. Smith is a firm believer that once a child reaches adulthood (18 years
of age) they are no longer the parents responsibility. The elderly however, must always be protected
and cared for. Mrs. Smith and her family are strong believers in God of the Denominational faith.

The second reason for supporting truckload delivery is the value density. It can be calculated as
follows
Value density (woofers) = $740/48bs = $15.42 Airfreight (T2)
Airfreight can also be recommended but the total cost per month will be higher than that of the
truckload. Whereas the deliveries are more frequent as well as the shorter transit time will make it a
better option.
Value density of the Airfreight can be calculated as follows
Value density (Tweeter) = $1190/6 lbs = $198.33

35. Machine-to-Machine Technology and Analytics
Introduction
On the horizon of big data, is an ecosystem of solutions that uses embedded devices to facilitate real
time analysis of events and data among the Internet of Things . Machine to Machine technology and
analytics is the promising future of the big data era. Its exponential growth and advancement promises
a plethora of solutions and new ideas, but as with all innovations, it will also create a wave of new
issues, problems and complications that, given its scale, magnitude and speed of development will
certainly challenge as much as it benefits the legal industry.
What is M2M IoT?
Machine to Machine (M2M) is a broad label that can be used to describe any technology that enables
networked devices to exchange information and perform actions without the manual assistance of
humans. Products built with M2M communication capabilities are often marketed to end users as
being smart . The interconnection between smart objects and the way we interact in the environment is
described as the Internet of Things.
How does it work?
Sensors (which are devices with processor, memory, storage, inputs and outputs, OS and software
capabilities that gather and/or disseminate data on just about anything ), are attached to objects, and
the objects identities, state or state of surroundings become capable of being relayed to an Internet
connected IT structure. The sensors relay data to the outside world through local area and wide area,
wireless or wired links. . Local, on
